Chapter 1
Georgie Jones sipped her tea quietly while reading People magazine in the small coffee shop, Kelly's. She was wearing an old pair of jeans and a black t-shirt. Her curly brown hair was tied back. She was completely intrigued by the story she was reading.
"Georgie!" Someone banged on her table.
"Oh my God!" She jumped. She spilled all of her tea on the table. "Dillon, why must you always do that?? God." Georgie said angrily. Dillon Quartermaine sat down across from her and continued laughing.
"Sorry, I just had to." He said still laughing. Georgie grabbed some napkins and wiped the table.
"You're buying me some more tea." Georgie said.
"All right, all right." Dillon got up and went to the counter. Georgie finished cleaning up and started to read again.
"Here you go." Dillon said placing another cup of tea in front of Georgie. "I still don't understand why you drink tea. I mean it's so gross."
Georgie ignored him. "Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are engaged." She read.
"Woo-hoo. Let's throw a party." Dillon said rolling his eyes. "Why do you care so much?"
"Because nothing exciting is happening in my life Dillon." She put the magazine down and drank some of her tea. "Dillon I just lost my job two days ago. I'm about to get evicted from my apartment because I haven't paid my rent for the last two months. My parents don't really want me to move back in. Maxie's getting married next week. My life sucks!"
"G, if you ask me that's pretty exciting."
"Yeah right. I shouldn't compare my life to yours."
"Please Georgie. Nothing is happening with me right now. I mean nothing. My mom is still in France and I don't think she's planning on coming back."
"Well who could blame her, she married a billionare."
"That's true. I'm just glad she's not here because life is so much better without her."
Georgie said. "You could say that again."
"Anyways, so yeah mom's still in France, Sage is having her 'time of the month' so no fun there."
"Ew I didn't need to know that."
"Well I'm just telling you my life isn't too fun right now either."
"Dillon that's not what I'm saying. You have a job, you have you're own apartment and you're not about to be kicked out of it. You have a not-so wonderful girlfriend whom I hate very much but hey you at least you still have a girlfriend."
"I still don't see why you and Sage don't get along."
"Because she's rude and snobby and I just don't like her." Georgie took a long sip of her tea. "But that's besides the point Dillon. You have a perfect life. You're a successful accountant and-"
"Yeah but it's not what I want to be."
"Okay so being an accountant isn't exactly the job of your dreams. But at least you have a job. Dillon I don't even have a job, I don't have a house, I don't have a boyfriend. Dillon I'm almost 22 years old!"
"G, calm down all right? It's just a phase okay, Everyone goes through it. Even I've gone through it."
"Dillon you're been on your own since high school. You moved into the haunted star and as soon as school was over you got your own apartment. You and Sage have been going out for as long as I can remember. You're super rich. If you ask me you've never gone through that phase."
"Okay so not everyone goes through it. But it's normal. I promise you'll get through it and your life will be right back on track."
Georgie put her head down on the table. "Dillon I don't know what I would do without you. As much as I hate you, you're still me best friend." Dillon smiled. He patted her on her head.
"Dillon baby! There you are, I've been looking all over for you." Sage Alcazar called out. She came over to Dillon and Georgie. Georgie lifted her head. "Georgie." Sage said glaring at her.
"Sage." Georgie said rolling her eyes.
Dillon stood up. "You weren't home this morning so I just came here. Where'd you go?"
"Oh um, Deigo and Uncle Lorenzo and Carly wanted to go out for breakfast. They asked me last night. I was going to tell you but you were already asleep." Sage said to Dillon.
"Yeah it's fine." Dillon said quietly. Sage put her hands on Dillon's face. She kissed him lightly on the lips and Dillon kissed her back.
"Mmhmm." Georgie cleared her throat. "I better get going. I have a job interview today." Georgie interrupted them. Sage stopped kissing Dillon and gave Georgie a cold look.
"Do we care?" Sage said rudely.
"Bye Dillon." Georgie said not looking at Sage.
"Good luck with your interview." Dillon said.
"Thanks I'll need it." Georgie turned around and walked out of Kelly's. She went back to her apartment. She threw her keys on the kitchen table. Georgie took her clothes off and threw them on the floor. She jumped in to take a quick shower. She turned the knob all the way so the water was really hot. Steam filled her whole bathroom. Georgie was out of the shower fast. She wrapped a towel around her body and went into the kitchen. She got out a bag of chips and started munching. Georgie went into her bedroom and opened her closet doors. She sat down on her bed and stuffed chips in her mouth while staring at her closet.
"I hate clothes." She muttered to herself. She put her chips down and went to her closet. She pulled out a black dress and put it up to herself. She looked at herself in the mirror and gave a big sigh. She took off her towel and slipped into the black dress. It was pretty low cut and was short too. Georgie let her hair down for the first time in weeks. She put a little lipstick on and some mascara to give some color to her face. "I hate wearing make-up." She said to herself. "How do girls do this every day?" She asked herself. "I swear I mean I would go crazy if I had to dress up everyday." She put the tube of mascara down on the dresser. She looked at herself in the mirror. "Not bad Georgie. Don't get used to it though." She said smiling to herself. She took out her black purse from the drawer. She went into the kitchen and took her keys. She left her apartment for the job interview.
~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~
Georgie sat in her car, her head down on the steering wheel. She took out her cell phone from her purse. She dialed Dillon's cell phone number.
"Hello?" Dillon said on the phone.
"Dillon I screwed up. I screwed up so bad."
"What you're interview?"
"Yes! They were asking me all these hard questions and I didn't know how to answer them. Oh Dillon I'm not getting this job."
"Like you really wanted to work in a cubicle all day for a company you've never heard of."
"Whatever it is, I needed the money."
"Where are you?"
"In my car..."
"That's not what I meant. Okay listen meet me at The Cellar."
"Is Sage there too?"
"...."
"Dillon?"
"Yes she's here too. Look just come all right?"
"Okay I'll be there soon. I think I might go home and change."
"Georgie you don't need to change. Just come all right?"
"But I'm wearing a dress."
"It's not a bad thing to look like a girl once in awhile.
"Shut up."
"I'll see you in 10 minutes."
"All right fine. Bye." Georgie closed her cell phone and put it in her lap. She banged her head against the steering wheel lightly.
"Uggghh why do I have to be such a loser?" She said to herself. She started her car and left the parking lot of Sybex Incorporation.

Chapter 2
Georgie looked at herself in the rearview mirror. She hated dressing up and wearing make-up. She barely ever went out like this in public. For her, it was a pretty big step going to The Cellar in a dress. She sighed to herself. She took the keys out of the ignition and grabbed her black purse from the passenger seat. She got out of the car and slammed the door shut. She slowly walked into The Cellar hoping that no one would notice her. She didn't know why she agreed to meet Dillon there. She saw Dillon sitting at the bar and noticed that Sage wasn't with him. She breathed in and out and walked over to Dillon. She tapped him on the shoulder. Dillon looked up at her in utter shock.
"Wow..." Dillon said. He just stared at her.
"Dillon stop staring at me. You're making me uncomfortable." Georgie said. She sat down next to him.
"G, you look...different."
"Thanks, that's a nice compliment." Georgie said sarcastically. "Excuse me, can I please get a Tequila." Georgie asked the bartendar.
"So the interview didn't go so well huh?" Dillon asked Georgie taking a sip of his drink. The bartendar brought Georgie's drink.
"Can you just give me the whole bottle please?" Georgie asked the bartendar.
"Suit yourself honey." He replied. He placed the bottle of Tequila in front of her.
"No the interview didn't go well at all. I did horrible. And I'm never gonna get that job." Georgie said turning to Dillon.
"Don't worry about it. It's not worth getting upset over."
"Dillon, why don't you understand? I need a job! I barely have any money to support myself. I have to find some money to pay my rent so I don't get kicked out of my apartment. I need this job."
"Georgie, they probably don't even pay that much. I mean I've never heard of this Sybex place. Don't worry you'll find another job. A better one."
"Yeah right." Georgie said. She poured her self another glass. "Where's your girlfriend?"
"She's over there talking to Lucas." Dillon said. Georgie turned around and saw Sage and Lucas. They were standing very close and were whispering in each others ears. Georgie looked at Dillon who was still looking at them. She could tell he was a little hurt. Dillon turned back around and took a big gulp of his drink.
"I have an idea." He said to Georgie.
"Yeah what's that?"
"How about I give you a loan?"
"No I'm gonna take money from you."
"G, I'm not giving you my money. It's a loan. I'll give you however much you need for your apartment and then you can pay me back later when you get the money."
"Dillon that's very generous of you but I don't know. I mean it's going to take me a while to get the money back at the rate I'm going."
"Don't worry about it. Take as long as you need." Dillon put his arm around Georgie's shoulder. "You're my best friend Georgie. I hate seeing you like this."
"What's 'this'?" Georgie asked turning to him.
"You know. You're like moping around all depressed and stuff. I just want to help you out a little."
"Dillon I don't know."
"Georgie please." He said moving a little closer to her. "Please?"
"All right." Georgie said smiling.
"Yes!" Dillon said happily.
"Thank you so much Dillon, this means a lot to me."
"Hey you know I would do anything for you." He said. Sage tapped Dillon on the shoulder. Dillon let go of Georgie.
"Hey baby." Dillon said.
"Hey. Listen Dillon I'm gonna take the car. Lucas needs a ride home." Sage said.
"Okay...but how am I gonna get home?" Dillon asked confused.
"Uh, Georgie can give you a ride. Right Georgie?"
"Yeah sure, it's no problem." Georgie said.
"Thanks." Sage gave Dillon a quick kiss on his forehead and left the club with Lucas. Dillon turned around. He took Georgie's bottle of Tequila and drank straight out of the bottle.
"Hey that's mine." Georgie complained.
"Yeah well I need it more right now."
"Oh no you don't." Georgie said taking the bottle back from him. She drank straight out of the bottle too
"G, you can't get drunk."
"Why not?"
"Because you're driving."
"Okay, fine. But you owe me." Georgie said. Dillon took the bottle again and started drinking.
"Is he okay?" The bartendar asked Georgie.
"Yeah he's fine." Georgie said patting him on the back. "Dillon, I'll be right back. I'm gonna go say hi to a couple of people."
"Okay." Dillon said.
~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~
An hour later, Dillon was way drunk. He could barely think straight. But he didn't care. He turned to see Georgie dancing with Brook Lynn. He thought she looked beautiful. He noticed Georgie was walking towards him now.
"You ready to go Dillon?" Georgie asked him.
"You know Georgie, you look very beautiful tonight." Dillon said smiling.
"Thanks Dillon." Georgie said awkwardly. She sat down next to him.
"You know where Sage is right now?"
"Home?"
"No. She's with Lucas. Probably in bed with him by now."
"You think she's cheating on you with Lucas?"
"G, I know she's cheating on me with Lucas."
"Dillon you're just really drunk right now. Come on let me take you home."
"You know I'm right." Dillon said trying to stand up.
~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~
Georgie parked her car outside of Dillon's apartment building.
Dillon rested his head back against the seat.
"Dillon do you want me to walk you up?"
"No it's fine. But can I ask you one favor?" Dillon said sitting up straight. He leaned in towards Georgie.
"What's that?" Georgie asked quietly.
"Can I kiss you?" Dillon asked her.
"Dillon you're drunk you don't know what you're talking about."
"Ssh." Dillon whispered. He leaned in even closer to Georgie. He touched her lips with his fingers. Georgie closed her eyes and moved closer to Dillon. Dillon's lips brushed Georgie's lips. He kissed her softly at first and then passionately. His hands were in her hair. Georgie knew it was so wrong but she didn't want to stop. She kissed him back with the same intensity. Suddenly she stopped.
"What, what's wrong?" Dillon asked.
"Dillon this is really wrong. You should go." Georgie said. Dillon didn't say anything. He left Georgie's car and went up to his apartment.

Chapter 3
Georgie rolled around in her bed. It was a rainy day and she was way too comfortable to get up. She spent most of her Saturday mornings like this: rolling around in bed, waking up late and just doing absolutley nothing. She closed her eyes tightly and snuggled into her white sheets and blanket. It was almost 9 o'clock and it was still way too early for her. Suddenly she shot open her eyes when she heard something moving around outside of her bedroom. She her front door open and the close. She got straight out of bed and tied her hair up in a tight bun.
Nervously she asked out loud, "Hello?"
"Georgie?" Dillon asked back. Georgie let out a big sigh. She went outside her room still in her white tank top and red pajama pants.
"Why must you always freak me out?" Georgie asked him angrily.
"Sorry, it's just that I didn't want to wake you up. I know you like sleeping in Saturday mornings. So I tried coming in quietly but obviously that didn't work."
"Whatever, it's okay. At least you actually used the key I gave you."
"Yeah." Dillon chuckled. "Umm anyway I just kinda wanted to talk to you about what happened last night."
"Oh don't worry about it."
"No I'm really sorry. I mean I was drunk and I wasn't thinking straight. I don't know what was wrong with me."
"It's okay Dillon really. I mean it was just one kiss. Let's just pretend that it never happened okay?" Georgie said rubbing her bare arms.
"Yeah sounds good. I mean it's not like we actually feel that way about each other right? I mean we're just friends."
"Right, right. Just friends." Georgie said nodding her head. "You want some breakfast?" Georgie asked trying to break the awkward moment.
"Sure. I would love that." Dillon took a seat at her small table. Georgie opened up her refridgerator. "So about that loan. I'll just-"
"Dillon I was thinking about that last night. And it doesn't sound like such a good idea to me." Georgie said turning around.
"Oh come on G, didn't we already talk about this? It's just a loan. I wanna help you out. That's what friends to for each other. We help each other out. You've been helping me out since high school so come on, let me do this for you."
Georgie sighed. "All right." She said smiling. Dillon pulled his checkbook out and wrote a check for her.
"Here ya go." Dillon said handing it to her. Georgie took it from him.
"Thank you so much. This really means a lot to me." Georgie went over to him and hugged him from behind.
"Your welcome." Dillon said patting her arm.
"Here fry some eggs. I'm gonna go take a quick shower." She said to him.
"Okay I can do that." Dillon said nervously. Georgie left him in the kitchen and went to her bedroom closing the door behind her. She stood against the door for a second and sighed.
"He is just your friend Georgie, snap out of it." She said to herself. She went into her bathroom to take a quick shower. She stood under the water for literally five minutes just thinking about what happened last night. The way she was feeling about her kiss with Dillon was unbelievable. Dillon was always like a brother to her but now everything felt different. She didn't know what to feel. She quickly washed her hair and her body and ran out of the shower. She went back to her bedroom and pulled out a red t-shirt and blue jeans. She tied her wet hair up and went outside her bedroom and to the kitchen. Dillon frying eggs or at least he was trying to.
"What are you doing?" Georgie asked laughing. "Have you ever fried eggs before?"
"Yes." Dillon said unsure of himself.
"Here let me do it." Georgie said going up to him.
"No, no I can do it. There almost done anyway. Go sit down." Dillon said to her.
"Okay." Georgie said smiling. She sat down. Dillon went over the toaster and pulled out the bread almost burning himself. Georgie couldn't help but laugh. He took out the burnt eggs and put them on two plates. He placed a plate in front of Georgie and sat down next to her with his plate.
"I didn't know it was possible to burn eggs." Georgie said to him staring at her eggs.
"Hey now, eggs taste better when they're burnt." Dillon said. He was barely able to swallow his.
"Dillon no offense but this is gross. What did you do to it?" Georgie asked him trying not to spit out her food.
"I didn't do anything. I think it tastes just fine."
"Well then here, you can have mine." Georgie said dumping her food in his plate.
"Thanks..." Georgie got up and put her plate into the sink. Dillon got up to and dumped his food into the trash can. "You got any orange juice?"
Georgie laughed. She pulled out and orange juice carton and poured two glasses. They both went over to the couch and sat down next to each other.
"I'm sorry you had to wake up early today. I know you like sleeping in till like 12."
"It's okay. I'm glad you came over."
"Yeah me too." Dillon said looking at her. They both looked away from each other. "Um so you know what I said about Sage last night?" Dillon said breaking the awkward silence.
"Yeah what?"
"It's true. I know it's true. I wasn't just saying it because I was drunk but because I know. I mean that's why I got drunk."
"How do you know it's true?"
"Because she went home with him Georgie." Dillon said raising his voice.
"Look I may hate Sage and all but I know you two love each other and she wouldn't do that to you."
"I don't know. Lately she's been hanging out with Lucas a lot. She's coming home late and we barely see each other."
"Maybe it's because you're here right now. Go home to her, maybe she's waiting for you."
"All right fine." Dillon stood up. He kissed Georgie's forehead. "I'll see ya later."
"Bye." Georgie said still sitting down. Dillon walked to the door and then turned to look at Georgie who wasn't looking at him anymore. He turned around and left her apartment.
~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~
Georgie sat at Kelly's drinking coffee while looking through the classified section in the newspaper. Someone tapped her on the shoulder. She turned around to see her sister Maxie.
"Hey Maxie." Georgie said happily.
"Hey." Maxie said sitting down across from Georgie.
"What's up?"
"Nothing. I'm just running all around PC for my wedding. It's in one week exactly and there's still so much to do."
"Do you want my help?"
"No there's nothing anyone can really do. Did you pick up your bridesmaids dress yet?"
"No..."
"Georgie come on!"
"I will, will don't worry. I just have a lot going on myself."
"Did you get that job?"
"Well they didn't call yet but I know for sure I'm not gonna get it."
"You'll get it don't worry. Is something else bothering you though?" Maxie asked worried about her sister.
"If I tell you something, you promise not to tell anyone?"
"Yeah, yeah what's going?" Maxie asked.
Georgie folded her newspaper and put it down. "Last night, I was with Dillon at the Cellar. And I guess he had too much to drink and he was upset about something. But anyways I dropped him off at his apartment and in the car he...he kissed me."
"He what!?"
"Ssh." Georgie said trying to calm her sister down. "He came to my place this morning to say sorry and the he didn't mean any of it and that we're nothing more than friends."
"So what's the problem now?"
"Maxie, Dillon kissed me last night! How in the world is everything supposed to be normal now? I mean I haven't stopped thinking about it since last night."
"Maybe you're falling for Dillon." Maxie said quietly. Georgie looked up at Maxie almost as if she believed at her.

Chapter 4
Dillon walked down the hall of his apartment. He thought he would have to work all night but ended up finishing his work early. Sage didn't know he would come back home but she was probably asleep anyway. He fumbled with his keys trying to find the right one. His eyes felt heavy from the lack of sleep. He managed to find the key and stuck in the keyhole. He opened the door slowly and suddenly dropped his keys and stood in complete shock of what was in front of him.
~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~
Georgie awoke suddenly to the sound of her phone ringing. She looked at her clock and it said 2:30 am. She looked at the caller ID and noticed that it was Dillon's cell phone number. She quickly grabbed the phone from the side table scared of what was happening.
"Hello?" She asked slowly.
"Hey Georgie, It's me Dillon." Dillon said quietly.
"Hey, is everything okay?"
"Uh yeah, listen can I come over?"
"Right now?" Georgie asked confused.
"Yeah, well actually I'm standing outside your door."
"Oh-kay." Georgie hung up the phone. She got out of her bed and went to her front door. She unlocked and opened it. Dillon was standing there looking straight at her. He looked like he had been crying for hours. His eyes were red and puffy.
"Hey." Georgie said quietly.
"Hey." Dillon responded.
"Come in." Georgie said moving aside. Dillon walked in.
"No offense Dillon, but you look like crap." Georgie said bluntly.
"None taken." Dillon smirked.
"What happened?"
"I was gonna work all night today. There was a lot of stuff that I needed to get done. You know angry clients and all. But I finished up early and I went home." Dillon paused for a minute. He put his keys and his cell phone down on Georgie table. "G I told you I was right." He started with tears welling up in his eyes.
"Right about what?" Georgie said moving closer to him. Just the sight of him crying was breaking her heart.
Dillon took a deep breath. "Sage. I went-I opened the door to my apartment an-and there she was. There she was right in front of me."
"Dillon is Sage okay?" Georgie asked worried. She put her hand on his arm.
"Georgie she was lying on the sofa." Dillon started. Georgie shook her head confused. "She was lying there with Lucas." Dillon with tears running down his face. "Georgie she was with Lucas. I mean I thought I knew she was cheating on me but deep down I know she wasn't capable of it. An-and now she did it. She was right in front of me."
"Dillon I'm so sorry." Georgie pulled Dillon towards her for tight hug. Dillon rested his head on her shoulder and wrapped his arms around her. Georgie held him tightly not sure of what to do next. Dillon slowly let go.
"Can I stay here for the night?" He asked her softly.
"Yeah stay here for as long as you need to." Georgie said. Dillon took his jacket off and threw it on the chair. He started walking towards the sofa. Georgie grabbed his hand. Dillon turned to look at her.
"Dillon. You can sleep in my bed if you want." She said.
"No G its okay. I'll just sleep here-"
"Dillon. It's okay." Georgie said. She held on to his hand tightly and led him to her bedroom. Georgie got into her bed and so did Dillon. Georgie wrapped her arms around Dillon from behind.
"It's gonna be okay." She whispered into his ear. She kissed his cheek softly and then put her head against his back.
~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~
Dillon woke up to find himself alone in Georgie's bed. He couldn't remember what time he fell asleep but he knew it didn't take him that long. Something about having Georgie's arms wrapped around him made him feel very comfortable and secure. He looked at the clock and it said 10:30.
"Oh @#%$, I'm late for work." Dillon said to himself. He quickly got out of bed and went out to the kitchen. He saw Georgie standing there putting whip cream on some pancakes.
"I know your favorite breakfast food are chocolate chip pancakes with whip cream. So look I made some." Georgie said smiling. Dillon smiled at her.
"You didn't have to do that."
"Well fine then. Chocolate chip pancakes are also my favorite breakfast food too in case you forgot."
"I didn't forget." Dillon said. "Thanks."
"No problem."
"I'm just gonna brush my teeth real quick. You still have my toothbrush?"
"Yes I do." Georgie said giving him a big smile. "It's in the cabinet."
"Thanks." Dillon said and he left for the bathroom. Georgie watched him leave. She was finding herself constantly looking at Dillon. She was becoming more and more attracted to him as the days went by. She didn't want it to be that way but she couldn't help herself. A couple minutes later Dillon came back. He found Georgie in a complete daze. He waved his hand in front of her.
"...Georgie..." He said.
"Oh sorry." Georgie said suddenly waking up. "I kinda got lost in something." Dillon sat down next to her. He took a bite of the pancakes.
"Mmm. These are really good."
"Thanks."
"Georgie I'm really late for work." Dillon complained to her. He stuffed some more food into his mouth.
"Oh it's all good. You can be late one day. Besides you worked pretty late last night."
"Yeah but I don't wanna get fired like you did."
"Hey now, I didn't get fired. I just got...'let go'." Georgie said laughing.
"Looks like my life is going a little crazy like yours."
"Well at least you still have a job."
"Yeah. Hey thanks for uh letting me stay here last night."
"Dillon you don't really have anywhere else to go. I mean you're not gonna go back to the Quartermaines." Georgie said. Dillon laughed. "You can stay here for as long as you need to. Besides as of now you are paying my rent. Which I promise I will pay you back. And I know I only have one bedroom but we can definitely work something out."
"Don't worry about that G. Thanks for letting me stay."
"Hey what are friends for?" Georgie said. She hugged him wrapping her arms around his neck and with their heads side to side.
"I don't know what I would do without you." Dillon said.
"Yeah? And I don't know what I would do without you." Georgie smiled.

Chapter 5
Dillon knocked on his apartment door. He stood there for a second and finally Sage opened the door. She was wearing her pink bathrobe.
"Hey baby, why didn't you use your keys?" She said putting her arms around his neck. Dillon quickly moved them away.
"I was afraid of what I might walk in on." Dillon replied. He walked into the apartment. Sage closed the door behind him.
"Okay...what's that supposed to mean?" She asked putting her hands on her hips.
"Nothing." He said rudely. "It's 5 o'clock in the afternoon, what are you doing in your bathrobe?" Dillon said getting a glass of water.
"I just took a shower...what's wrong with you?" She said standing in front of him.
"Nothing." He said turning around. He put his glass in the sink.
"I thought you were going to come home this morning."
"Yeah I uh went to Georgie's place to shower and I went straight back to work."
"Why didn't you just come home?"
"Cuz I wanted to see my best friend." He said coldly
"Well you must be really tired." She said putting her hands on his face. She leaned in closer to Dillon. She kissed him softly on his lips. Dillon kissed her back. A picture of Lucas shot through his mind and he quickly pulled away.
"I can't do this." He whispered under his breath.
"What do you mean you can't do this?" Sage asked confused. Dillon moved away from Sage. He went into their bedroom and Sage followed him. "What's going on? Can you please answer me?" Dillon didn't answer her though. He went into his closet and pulled out a suitcase. He opened it up and started putting his clothes in it. "Dillon what are you doing?" Sage asked angrily.
"I'm moving out." Dillon said putting more things in his suitcase.
"What, why?" Sage asked.
"Because I saw something last night that maybe I shouldn't have."
"What are you talking about?" Sage asked. Dillon stopped packing and stood infront of his closet.
"Sage I-I saw you with Lucas. You know I knew something was going on between you two but I deep down I really didn't think you would do anything like that. Last night I did come home. I came home to find my girlfriend asleep with another man on my sofa." Dillon said harshly.
Sage sat down on their bed not able to say anything. Dillon stood their looking at her for a second. He turned back around and put some more stuff in his suitcase. He went into the bathroom and grabbed some of his other stuff and put it in the suitcase. He then went to his drawer and pulled out a jewel case. He sighed to himself. He turned around to look at her with tears in his eyes.
"We were gonna go out to dinner tomorrow night right?" He asked her. Sage nodded.
"Well I-I was going to ask you...to marry me." He said choking on his words. He held the case infront of him. Sage looked up at him shocked. "I really did love you Sage. Why'd you have to go and do that?" He asked her moving closer to her. Sage stood up.
"I'm so sorry Dillon." She said crying moving towards him. Dillon looked at her and realized that he would never be able to forgive her.
"Sage, this isn't the first time you cheated on me." He said angrily. "I'm done with this. I can't take it anymore." He said walking out of the room.
"No, Dillon please." Sage said following him. "Please don't leave. We can work this out." Dillon grabbed his keys from the kitchen table. He walked towards the front door an and picked up his suitcase. "Dillon wait." Dillon suddenly turned around.
"You're a @#%$ slut. I'm done with this, with us...with you." He spat in her face. He turned around and walked out the door slamming it behind him.
~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~
Georgie sat on her sofa with all the lights off with the exception of what was coming from the TV. She stuffed some popcorn into her mouth. She was completely intrigued by the movie she was watching in front of her. She thought she heard the door open but she didn't pay any attention to it.
"Hey it's that Molly Ringwald movie!" Dillon said. Georgie jumped on the couch. She turned around to see Dillon.
"Holy crap Dillon! What the hell is wrong with you?? Why do you always do that??" She yelled at him.
"Well I thought you might have heard the door open. But I guess not." Dillon sat down next to her and took some popcorn from her bowl.
"Hey that's mine." Georgie whined.
"Tough." Dillon said taking some more He gave her a big smile and then hugged her tightly.
"What was that for?" Georgie grinned.
"I don't know." Dillon said smiling. "Finish the movie. The ending is the best part." Dillon placed an arm around Georgie's shoulders and Georgie moved closer to him. She placed her head on his shoulder. Her eyes were glued to the TV but all she could think about at that moment was that she was in Dillon's arms. She smiled to herself. She knew that nothing could ever happen between her and Dillon but she liked thinking about it.
"G, the movie's over." Dillon said waking her from her thoughts. Georgie sat up straight and turned the TV off. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah I just got lost for a minute." She said smiling. She got up from the sofa and turned the lights on. She went to the kitchen and put the bowl in the sink and came back to sit down next to Dillon.
"Did you go back to your apartment?" She asked slowly.
"Yeah I did." Dillon said leaning back against the sofa. "I told her that I saw her with Lucas. I yelled at her and I told her that it's really over this time."
"Well let's hope so."
"What you don't believe me?"
"Dillon, this isn't the first time she's cheated on you. Who's to say you won't go back to her this time?"
"No trust me, I'm done with her now." Dillon said. Georgie put her arm around Dillon's shoulder.
"I know you still care about her." Georgie. Dillon shook his head. "You were gonna propose to her tomorrow night."
"So, what does that have to do with anything? That was before I found out." Dillon said angrily.
"All right fine. Let's just not talk about this okay? Let's forget about Sage and move on for now?" Georgie said rubbing his shoulders.
"All right." Dillon facing her.
"Good." Georgie moved her arms and sat quietly.
"Are you sure you're okay G?" Dillon asked.
"I don't know. My sister called me today. She wanted to know if I would come to her bachelorette party."
"And...?"
"And I said no. I mean she's gonna be with all her friends and I'm just gonna feel awkward. I don't even remember the last time me and Maxie hung out. Actually I don't think we ever have. Whatever it's okay. I really don't wanna go. I mean isn't it enough that I'm going to her wedding?"
"Georgie, she's your sister. You have to go to her wedding."
"I know. I mean Maxie and I have never gotten along. She's always treated me like crap and only recently have we actually started to talk like normal sisters do. Like the other day I met her at Kelly's and we actually had lunch together. I just wish we could act like normal sister you know? Like it felt good to talk to her normally about stuff. I don't know whatever. Why are we talking about this?"
"You brought it up." Dillon said laughing.
"Shut up." She said smiling. "So I finally picked up my dress for the wedding. It's really ugly. It's red and and frilly and weird and I don't want to wear it. It'll look good on all the other girls but not me."
"Why are you such a guy?" Dillon asked her bluntly.
"Because I grew up with you." She said punching him in the arm. Dillon laughed. "Dillon could I ask you something?"
"Yeah what's up?"
"Will you be completely honest?"
"Yeah, what is it?" Dillon asked confused.
"Okay well I know this is really stupid but I'm just gonna ask."
"G, what is it?"
"Do you think I'm ugly?"
"What!?"
"Just be honest. I'm serious."
"Okay..." Dillon laughed. "No, I don't think your ugly."
"Are you lying?"
"Yes." Dillon said laughing.
"Dillon!" Georgie said standing up.
"Okay, okay listen." Dillon said standing up too. "You are one of the most beautiful girls I have ever met." Dillon started. He took her hands. "And I'm being honest because you know I would tell you if you didn't look good." Dillon said laughing. Georgie smiled. "No, but really you're beautiful...inside and out. And I must be the luckiest man in the world to have a friend like you."
"Thanks." Georgie hugged him tightly. She burried herself into his arms and never felt more secure in her whole life. Dillon wrapped himself around her tightly not wanting to let go. "You know I love you right?"
"Yes, and I love you too G." Dillon said.
Georgie looked up at him. "Can I ask you something else?" Georgie asked with her arms still around his body.
"Yeah what?"
"Since you're not gonna be going with Sage to the wedding, you wanna be my date?" She asked smiling.
"I would love that." Dillon said. He kissed Georgie's forehead lightly. He then let go of her small body. "I'm just uh gonna sleep out here tonight."
"Okay hey and you know what, my sofa turns into a bed. Yeah it's called a sofa-bed."
"No kidding!" Dillon said sarcastically.
"Shut up." Georgie said hitting him playfully. Georgie pulled the cushions out and made the bed for him. Dillon layed down on the sofa. "Good night Dillon."
"Good night G." Georgie left the living room and went into her bedroom. She watched Dillon laying down on the sofa. She smiled to herself. She went and layed down on her own bed and closed her eyes. She smiled again to herself because everytime she closed her eyes all she could see was Dillon.

Chapter 6
"Ugghh..I hate being a girl." Georgie muttered to herself. She looked at herself in the mirror. The red bridesmaids dress was a strapless ball gown that was a little too low cut for her taste. Georgie left her hair down straight and also put some make-up on. She stood infront of her long mirror staring at herself. She noticed Dillon walk into her room wearing his tuxedo.
"Wow." He said staring at her. Georgie turned around and smiled at him.
"How do I look?" She said spinning around for him. Dillon laughed. He walked closer to her.
"I think I'm gonna have the hottest date tonight." He said to her.
Georgie frowned. "I think I look stupid." She said turning to look into the mirror.
Dillon moved behind her. He looked at her in the mirror. "I think you look beautiful." He whispered. Georgie turned around. She was only inches away from him and all she could think about was what it would feel like to have his lips on hers again.
"Umm Dillon I forgot something." She said moving away from him. Dillon stood where he was a little disappointed.
"What's that?"
"Well you know that I'm bridesmaid. I kind of have to go to the wedding a little early. So I'll meet you there?"
"Yeah that's fine." Dillon said. "Oh but since you're leaving me early, you have to promise me something." He said going towards her.
Georgie laughed. "What?"
"Promise me that you will give me at least one dance at the reception." He said intertwining his fingers with hers.
"Oh Dillon, you know I'm not much of a dancer." Georgie whined.
"It's okay, one dance won't kill you." Dillon said.
Georgie smiled. "Fine. One dance and that's it." She said. Dillon laughed. He leaned in and kissed her on her forehead. "I better get going."
"Yeah, I'll see you there." Dillon said. Georgie smiled. She grabbed her purse from her dresser and left her apartment. Dillon watched her leave not taking his eyes off of her.
~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~
Georgie sat lazily on the hotel bed in the room where her sister was getting ready. Maxie looked beautiful in her white wedding dress. All of Maxie's friends were surrounding her, helping her get ready. Georgie felt uncomfortable in the room. She looked around trying to find something to do. Someone knocked on the door. Georgie ran up to answer it. She opened the door and found Felicia and Mac standing there.
"Hey guys." Georgie said happily.
"Oh Georgie, you look beautiful. Where's Maxie?" Felicia said running past her. Georgie felt a little disappointed that her mother didn't care too much about her. She smiled at her dad.
"Mac you look nice." Georgie said fixing his tux.
Mac smiled at Georgie. "You look lovely too Georgie. Is your sister ready?" Georgie shrugged. She moved aside to let Mac in. She always knew that Maxie was the favorite and always would be. She didn't want to be jealous but couldn't help herself.
~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~
Georgie walked out with a man she only met a few minutes ago. Arm in arm, Georgie and Derek, one of the groomsmen, walked down the aisle.
Georgie stood at the altar with the other bridesmaids behind Maxie. Dillon sat with the other guests. He couldn't stop looking at Georgie. He never felt like this before. He had loved Sage but he the feeling he had at that moment was way different.
Georgie noticed Dillon looking at her. She smiled at him and he returned a warm smile back. To Dillon it seemed the ceremony had only been five minutes long. He wish it could have been longer so he just keep looking at Georgie. Maxie and her new husband ran out of the chapel. All the guests started to get up so they could go to the reception at the MetroCourt. Georgie came up to Dillon.
"Are you planning on staying here for the evening?" She asked him sweetly.
"Only if you stay with me." Dillon said smiling. Georgie sat down next to Dillon.
"Well I would love to ditch this wedding but it just so happens to be my sister's." Georgie laughed. "Come on your my date, you have to come with me." Georgie said. She stood up and took Dillon's hand. She pulled him up and they both walked out hand in hand.
~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~
"Well don't you just look beautiful tonight." Elizabeth commented on Georgie.
"Aww thanks Elizabeth. You look wonderful as always." Georgie said turning to see Elizabeth in a pale yellow gown.
"Thanks." Elizabeth replied.
"So how are the kids doing?"
"Oh they're both great. They're driving me crazy though. Cameron is being that bad boy and refuses to do anything that has to do with school. And Jen is just so stubborn. She definitely takes after her father."
"Well I'm sure Lucky doesn't mind that." Georgie said laughing.
"Well it was nice talking to you. Will you excuse me though, I have to go talk to someone." Elizabeth said running off. Georgie took a sip of wine from her glass. She looked around for Dillon and saw him standing by the snack table. She walked over to him. Dillon turned to see Georgie standing next to him.
"These crab cakes are really good." He said stuffing another one in his mouth. Georgie laughed. "So are you having fun?"
"No I really wanna go home." Georgie said quietly. Dillon laughed.
"Ah it's not so bad, could be worse." Dillon said putting a shrimp in his mouth.
"I think it just got worse." Georgie said staring past Dillon. Dillon looked at her and then the direction in which she was looking in. He saw Sage walking in, arm in arm, with Lucas.
"Your kidding..." Dillon said not taking his eyes off of Sage. "Wh-why is she here?" He asked Georgie.
"I don't know maybe Lucas brought her." Georgie said. "Anywho, here's your chance to ask her." Georgie said. Dillon saw Sage and Lucas walking towards them.
"Hi Dillon." Sage said coming up to them with Lucas at her side.
"Sage." Dillon said rudely.
"Can we please talk, alone."
"Anything you have to say you can say in front of Georgie." Dillon said.
"It's okay Dillon, really. I mean I'll just-" Georgie started.
"No stay please." Dillon said cutting Georgie off. "If Lucas can stay than so can you." Dillon said. Sage rolled her eyes.
"Well I just want to say after all that has happened between us, I don't want it to affect our friendship."
"Are you serious?" Georgie blurted out.
"I wasn't talking to you Georgie. So if you don't mind, please shut up and let me do the talking." Sage said.
"No I do mind," Georgie started, moving infront of Dillon, "and I'm not gonna shut up. You have cheated and hurt Dillon way too many times and I am not gonna sit around and watch it happen again. Why can't just leave him alone? He's done with you and he doesn't want to see your ugly face anymore." Georgie said.
"How about you let Dillon speak for himself." Sage said.
"She's right Sage." Dillon said. "I really don't wanna talk to you anymore. We're done." Dillon said. He took Georgie's hand and walked away from Sage and Lucas.
"I'm sorry Dillon. I shouldn't have said anything. I just couldn't stay quiet. God I hate her so much." Georgie said not being able to look at Dillon.
"No, no you were good. Thanks for doing that." Dillon said smiling.
"It's just that she has hurt you so many times and it drives me nuts. You don't even do anything about it. You just let her walk all over you and I can't stand it." Georgie said angrily.
"G it's okay. Thank you, really." Dillon said. He slipped her arms around her small waist and hugged her tightly. "By the way, you promised to dance with me." He whispered into her ear.
"Darn, I thought you would forget." Georgie said laughing. Dillon pulled her onto the dance floor.
I’ll always remember the song they were playin’ The first time we danced and I knew As we swayed to the music and held to each other I fell in love with you
Dillon pulled Georgie into his arms. He wrapped himself around her. Georgie placed her hands on his back and rested her head on his shoulder. They moved slowly to the song that was playing.
Could I have this dance for the rest of my life Would you be my partner every night When we’re together it feels so right Could I have this dance for the rest of my life
Dillon and Georgie swayed slowly to the music. Georgie felt like she was in heaven. She never wanted to leave his arms. She felt like that moment could go on forever.
I’ll always remember that magic moment When I held you close to me As we moved together, I knew forever You’re all I’ll ever need.
Dillon rested his head against Georgie's head. He kissed the side of her head. He knew his feelings towards her were wrong. He knew that nothing could ever happen between them. Georgie looked up at him. His heart was racing from the way she was looking at her. He brushed her lips softly with his fingers. Dillon looked at her lips and knew what he was about to do was wrong but he didn't care at that moment. He felt like they were the only two people in that room. Dillon leaned in closer to her ready to put his lips against hers. Right when he was about to, someone tapped him on the shoulder. He suddenly realized that they were still dancing and that they weren't about to kiss. Georgie's head was still against his shoulder and his was still against her head. He turned to see who it was tapping him on the shoulder. It was his older brother Ned. Dillon let go Georgie.
"Hi Ned." Georgie said happily.
"Hey. Sorry to interrupt you kids but can I speak to Georgie for a second?" Ned asked.
"Sure." Georgie said. She walked away with Ned leaving Dillon standing alone on the dance floor. Dillon went and sat down at a table. He couldn't figure out what was happening to him. He was having sudden urges to just grab Georgie and kiss her. He looked over to see Georgie talking to Ned and he saw how happy she was. She was smiling like crazy and that made him feel so warm inside. He saw Georgie walking towards him.
"Hey guess what??" She said sitting down next to him.
"What, what is it?" Dillon asked her.
"Ned just offered me a to be his secretary at ELQ!" Georgie said excitedly. "Dillon this is great I mean Ned is the new CEO and I get to be his secretary and that means that I'll be paid a lot of money. And it's not just the secretary of anyone, It's the CEO's secretary. Oh this is great." Georgie blabbed on. Dillon smiled at her.
"Well that's great news Georgie. I'm really happy for you." He said to her. "Let's get out of here. Let's go celebrate on our own. You know let's get ice cream and go home and watch a movie or something." Dillon said.
"Okay that sounds great. I wanna get out of here anyway. Let me just go tell Maxie okay?"
"Yeah go, I'll wait in the car." Dillon said watching Georgie run to her sister.
~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~
Georgie and Dillon walked into her apartment laughing.
"That was so funny Dillon. Did you see the way the guy looked at you?" Georgie said cracking up.
"Well that's what we do when we have no money. Take the ice cream and run." He said laughing.
"We can't ever go back to that place." Georgie said laughing. She was wearing Dillon's coat. He put it on her when they stopped to get some ice cream. "Here's your coat. Thanks for letting me wear it."
"No problem." He said throwing it on the sofa.
"I'm just gonna go change. Get out of this dress." Georgie said running to her room. Dillon went into the kitchen to get a glass of water. He drank it fast and put the glass down on the counter. He couldn't get Georgie out of his head. She walked out her bedroom wearing blue pajams with a white tank top. Her hair was still down. She smiled at him when as she walked into the kitchen. She opened her refrigerator and got a milk jar out and poured herself a glass of milk.
"I think I'm just gonna go to sleep Dillon. I'm dead beat." Georgie said. She put her glass in the sink. She started walking away from Dillon.
"Georgie wait." Dillon said. He walked up to her. "I wanna say something."
"What is it?" Georgie asked. Dillon moved closer to her.
"This whole night and the past couple of days. I can't get my mind off of you. You're all I think about and-and..." Dillon didn't know what else to say.
"And what?" Georgie asked. Dillon placed his hand on her face. He brushed her lips softly with his finger. He leaned in towards her for a kiss. Georgie knew what was going to happen and she wasn't willing to stop it.
Dillon's lips brushed hers. "And I wanna be with you..." He whispered. Georgie knew that whatever was happening shouldn't happen and that she would probably regret it. But at that moment she didn't care. She crashed her lips against Dillon's. Dillon suprised that she kissed him first, kissed her back with more intensity. He placed his hand on her waist, against her soft skin and pulled her closer. Georgie's hands slowly moved up to his face. Dillon kissed her jawline and moved down to her neck. He slowly moved back up to her lips and kissed her passionately. They moved to her bedroom. Georgie layed down on her bed and Dillon kissed her from above. She started unbuttoning his shirt. Dillon stopped kissing her and took his shirt off all the way. He started kissing her again. He moved down to her neck smelling the sweet vanilla scent of her skin. The heat in the room was rising and they both knew they shouldn't move forward yet they couldn't stop themselves. Georgie reached over to turn the lamp off and the two went on making love in the darkness.

Chapter 7
Georgie sat wide awake at her kitchen table. She drank her coffee slowly and was completely haunted about what happened the night before. It was almost eight o'clock in the morning. She had never gotten up that early before. In fact this was probably the first time she had never gotten any sleep the whole night. She didn't know what to think about the night's events. Making love to Dillon was something she never dreamed of and now she couldn't stop thinking about it. She knew that this kind of relationship with Dillon would never work and she had to stop it now. Georgie heard a door creak open. She turned around and saw Dillon come out of her bedroom. She turned back around not knowing what to say. Dillon sat across from her at the kitchen table.
"What are you thinking?" He asked her bluntly. Georgie looked up at him not knowing how to respond to him. She looked back down. "Georgie..."
"Dillon," she started. "Last night was amazing. It really was but you know this could never work." Georgie said looking at him.
"Are you regretting it?" Dillon asked upset.
"No, I'm not, I mean I don't know. It's just, Dillon we were best friends a couple hours ago and now we're lovers? You have never have even thought about me in that way." Georgie said getting up from her chair.
"Yes I have Georgie. I've thinking about you a lot lately."
"Dillon you're on rebound! You love Sage and you want her, not me. You've been with her forever and you can't just all of a sudden fall in love with me in a week."
"Georgie you're my best friend. I know you better than anyone and vice versa. So I became more attracted to you in the past week, big deal." Dillon said getting up.
"Dillon that's just it. It's only been a week. You're hurting and you needed some comfort."
"You're saying I took advantage of you?"
"No I'm not saying that Dillon. Look I just don't think this is going to work. It's never going to be the same. I mean our relationship is just different now."
"So what you wanna just forget about it? Pretend like it never happened?"
"I guess...I don't know." Georgie said running her hands through her hair.
"Well I can't forget about it Georgie. And I can't forget about us. You're saying that I never cared about you in that way? Well you'll be suprised in how much I do. Yeah I loved Sage. But what she did to me really turned me off. And a lot can happen in one week. But if you don't want this then I'll leave." Dillon said. Dillon grabbed his suitcase and stuffed some clothes in it.
"Dillon wait."
"No Georgie you've made yourself pretty clear." Dillon heading toward the door. "You don't want this to work and you have no faith in it either. I don't want to make you unhappy." Dillon opened the door. "Thanks for everything, really. You've given me a lot. I just wish I could give some of it back." Dillon said. He walked out the door and closed it quietly behind him. Georgie stood there staring at the door unsure of what had just happened. The only thing she knew was that she made the biggest mistake of her life.
~**~**~**~**~A couple of days later. ~**~**~**~**~
Georgie sat in her new office. She had finally started working at ELQ. She was really excited because the pay was good and her first check covered the loan that Dillon had gave her. She sat at her desk signing some papers for Ned. She heard someone knock on her door. She looked up to see Dillon walk in. She hadn't seen him in days.
"I'm liking the business suit." Dillon said jokingly to Georgie. Georgie laughed a little bit.
"How have you been?" She asked softly.
"Good, good. I just uh came by to see Ned and I thought I'd drop in and say hi."
"Well I'm glad you came by." Georgie said. Dillon nodded his head. Georgie stood up. "Dillon I just want to say that I'm really sorry for everything that happened."
"Don't worry about. It's in the past already forgotten." Except it wasn't forgotten for either of them. All Georgie thought about night and day was Dillon. And same was for Dillon. He couldn't stop thinking about her.
"So hows your job going?" He asked her changing the subject.
"Great and I already got my first paycheck." She said showing it to him. "And I uh had Ned write it out to you." She said handing it to him. Dillon took the check.
"If you still need the money Georgie you can ke-"
"No really take it. I'm good now. Thank you though..for the loan."
"Yeah no problem." Dillon said. He looked away not sure of what to say next. They both felt the awkward silence.
"I'm going away for awhile." Dillon said breaking the silence.
"Really?"
"Yeah I just figured I needed a break from everything and getting away from PC will really help."
"Well that's great, where are you going?"
"L.A...for three months, maybe more." Dillon said. Georgie looked at him a little suprised. Her and Dillon had never left each other's side. If they ever did go on vacation they were always together. And the last couple of days had been hell. She couldn't imagine what the next couple of months would be like.
"Well that's really good for you. When are you leaving?"
"Tomorrow morning."
"Oh...well uh have fun." Georgie said giving him a small smile.
"Thanks. Well um bye."
"Bye." Dillon smiled at her and then turned to walk out the door. He gently closed the door. Georgie sat down in her chair. She didn't know what to think or who to talk to. Dillon had been Georgie's only friend and now he was gone leaving her all alone.
~**~**~**~**~One Month Later~**~**~**~**~
Georgie sat in Kelly's reading the newspaper and drinking coffee. She was intrigued by the story that was in front of her. Someone came and sat down across from her. She put her newspaper down and saw Maxie sitting in front of her.
"Hey." Maxie said putting her purse down.
"Hey how are you?" Georgie said taking a sip of her coffee. Georgie hadn't really talked to her sister since her wedding. She felt kind of bad.
"I'm doing great. Married life is great." Maxie said happily.
"That's good."
"How are you doing?" Maxie asked her sister.
"I'm doing good. You know I got a job at ELQ. I'm making a lot of money, life couldn't get any better." Georgie said giving her a fake smile.
"Then why do I get a feeling that something's bothering you." Maxie said.
"Nothing's bothering me. I'm perfectly fine."
"Well if you say something like that then something is definitely bothering you. Is it Dillon?"
"No...no." Georgie said looking away.
"What happened?"
"Nothing."
"Georgie I'm your sister, tell me! Maybe I can help."
Georgie looked at her sister. She could tell that Maxie was worried about her.
"Right after your wedding when Dillon and I came back to my apartment we...we had made love."
"You did what?" Maxie said staring at her younger sister.
"We had sex Maxie. And I screwed up things really badly. I said really stupid stuff that I shouldn't have said and now I don't when Dillon's coming back."
"What did you say to him?"
"I just said that it would never work and that it was all a big mistake and that he didn't really care about me."
"How do you know he doesn't really care about you?"
"I just thought he was hurting and that he was looking for something and I gave it to him." Georgie said putting her head down. Maxie patted her head.
"You really did make a big mess."
"Maxie, you don't know hard it is not having Dillon there for me every waking moment. He was my best friend, my soulmate. And now I don't have him. This one moment just changed everything."
"I'm really sorry Georgie, I really wish I could help." Maxie said.
"I know, thank you for listening though. I haven't talked to anyone in forever."
"Look you have my phone number and you know where I live. I'm your older sister, you can talk to me." Maxie said holding Georgie's hand.
"Thank you." Georgie said to her sister.
"I wish I could help." Maxie said once more. Whatever anyone said or did couldn't heal Georgie's heart right now.

Chapter 8
Dillon walked into his old bedroom at the Quartermaine's house. A lot of stuff he had taken when he moved out but some of it was still in its place. He sat down on his bed and looked around. He looked over at his side table and noticed a picture of him and Georgie. He picked it up and ran his finger over Georgie's face.
"God I missed you." He whispered.
"Who'd you miss?" Ned asked standing in his doorway. Dillon looked up and smiled. He put the picture down.
"I didn't know anyone was standing there." He said. Ned walked over and picked up the picture of Dillon and Georgie.
"She missed you too." Ned said sitting down next to Dillon. "It's great that your back home."
"Yeah, LA was great and all but it wasn't the same as Port Charles." Dillon laughed. "How is she?"
"She's doing good you know. She's still working at ELQ and she's doing a wonderful job with it. She looks great, very mature and womanly." Ned complimented.
"That's good. I'm happy for her." Dillon said quietly. "Umm, hey I was gonna go over to Kelly's. You wanna come?" Dillon asked Ned.
"No thanks, I have a lot of work to finish up." Ned said.
"I'll catch you later then huh?" Dillon got up and started to walk out the door.
"Yeah bye." Ned said watch watching him leave. He looked at the picture of Dillon and Georgie. He smiled to himself. "God, I really hope Georgie comes to her senses." Ned said to himself.
~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~
Dillon held his coffee in one hand and his jacket in the other. He walked to the docks. As he approached he noticed someone sitting there. He looked closely and realized it was Georgie. She was wearing a black skirt and a brown tank top with her pulled back tightly.
"Everything is gonna get better soon, I promise. I know it seems hard now and it was hard telling them today but they'll come around." Georgie said looking out into the water.
"Who are you talking to?" Dillon blurted out. Georgie slowly turned around and to her suprise Dillon was really standing there. She stood quickly.
"Dillon!" She ran over to him and and hugged him tightly. Dillon wrapped his arms around her waist. "I didn't think you were ever coming back." Georgie said. She let go of him.
"How could I leave you here all by yourself?" Dillon said smiling. They both sat down on the bench. "You're looking great."
"Thanks. You know ever since I started working at ELQ, I've had to dress differently so slowly all these clothes that I never wore before have taken over my closet." Georgie said.
Dillon laughed. "You gained some weight too huh?"
Georgie looked down at her stomach that was kinda sticking out. She put her hand on her stomach. "Yeah I haven't really had time to work out you know? I've been busy with work and all."
"Look I didn't mean to be rude and all. I just meant that you've always been so thin and always had a nice...I mean-nevermind. I'm sorry I even said that. It was very wrong of me."
"No hey, don't worry about it. Your allowed to say that kind of stuff to me. I mean I've always been extremely honest with you."
"True. But no really, you really look beautiful." Dillon said looking into Georgie's eyes. "I missed you Georgie."
"I missed you too. It was weird not having you here by my side." Georgie said. "How was LA anyway?" Georgie asked breaking the silence.
"It was nice you know, relaxing. But I missed PC too much. I missed you too much." Dillon said smiling.
"I missed you too Dillon. I really am very sorry about the way we left things. I was being a total jerk and I wasn't thinking clearly. I'm so sorry."
Dillon put his hand on to of Georgie's. "Georgie forget it okay? It's not big deal. I forgot about it. You didn't do anything wrong and I don't blame you. Anyone would have reacted that way."
"It's just that these last couple months have been so hard and I couldn't help but think that you left because of me." Georgie said.
Dillon stood up. "It wasn't just you Georgie." Dillon started looking out into the ocean. "It was Sage and what she did to me. You were right." Dillon said turning to look at her. "I did love her. I mean we were together for most of our lives. And everytime she cheated on me I forgave her and I loved her again. But this time it was different. I don't know why but I can't forgive her again and I can't love her again."
Georgie stood up and stood across from Dillon.
"I cleared my head in LA. Set my priorities straight. I have to move on from everything. I have to start working again and leave whatever happened in the past behind."
"Including us?" Georgie asked. Dillon looked at Georgie. He moved closer to her. He caressed the side of her face.
"I can never forget us Georgie. That night was the best thing that ever happened to me. And that's all I've been thinking about since I left."
Georgie's eyes welled up with tears. Georgie swallowed hard. "Yeah. Me too."
"Hey Georgie..." Maxie walked on to the docks realizing that Dillon was there too. "Sorry to interrupt you guys. I'll just go-"
"No wait. Umm, I was just leaving." Dillon turned back to Georgie. "I'll talk to you later okay?"
"Yeah, bye." Georgie said. Dillon turned around and left. Maxie came up to her younger sister.
"You're crying..." Maxie said. Georgie wiped the tears from her eyes.
"I'm fine."
"You didn't tell him did you?" Maxie asked her sister. Georgie looked at Maxie unsure of what to say.

Dillon sat at the bar in Jakes. He drank his beer slowly.
"Hey Dillon!" Deigo called out. He came and sat down next to Dillon. "When did you get back?"
"Hey I got back this morning."
"Hey man, get me a beer please?" Deigo said to the bartender. "How was LA?"
"It was nice. Very relaxing and I had fun."
"That's good. I'm glad your back though."
"Yeah me too." Dillon said nodding his head.
"Oh by the way, congradulations. I never woulda figured you and Georgie but um, I'm really happy for you guys." Deigo said.
Dillon was confused. "What are you talking about?"
"Stop kidding around man You know exactly what I'm talking about." Deigo said laughing. "Well I gotta go. I'll see you around." Deigo took his beer and left. Dillon didn't know what the hell he was talking about. Maybe he thinks that we're together, Dillon thought. But he was sure that know one knew him and Georgie had slept together. Maybe he was wrong.

Chapter 9
Georgie came out of the bathroom feeling extremely sick. She had already threw up two times that morning. She sat down at her kitchen table and put her head down.
"Oh baby, this is not fun." She said. She sat up straight and patted her belly. "It may be a nice gift at the end but boy the nine months before it are hell." She said to herself. Georgie heard the phone ring and got up to answer it.
"Hello?" She said.
"Hey Georgie. It's me Dillon."
"Hey, what's up?"
"Nothing, listen I was just uh wondering if you wanted to have breakfast with me? You know we could just go over to Kelly's if you want."
"That sounds great Dillon. I'll meet you there."
"All right thanks. I'll see you soon."
"Yeah bye." Georgie said hanging up. She went into her bedroom to find clothes to wear. She really needed to go shopping because nothing was fitting her anymore. She opened her closest doors and sighed to herself.
"I hate being fat." She complained to herself. She pulled out a pair of blue flared jeans and a white tank top. She quickly put it on and tied her back up into a tight ponytail. She put on dangling silver earings as well. She looked at herself in the mirror. "I have such a big tummy." She cried. She took her purse from her dresser and looked at herself once more in the mirror. She smiled to herself. "Well I guess I don't look that bad." She said looked at herself. She smiled again and left her apartment.
She went to Kelly's and noticed that Dillon wasn't there yet. She saw Mike at the counter and went over to say hello.
"Hey Mike!" She said sitting down one of the stools.
"Hey you! How have you been?" Mike asked giving all his attention to her.
"I am doing great. I was a little sick this morning but it's getting better."
"Well you look great." Mike said. "You know they say that when a woman get's pregnant she has this different kind of glow to her." Mike started. Georgie laughed. "Well I think you're glowing." Mike said.
"Thanks Mike." Georgie said smiling.
"Can I get you anything?"
"Umm actually I'm waiting for Dillon."
"Oh well, he's right there." Mike said looking past her. Georgie turned around and saw Dillon standing there by the door. She smiled at him.
"I'll talk to you later Mike." Georgie said walking away. Dillon pulled out a chair for her. "Thanks." Georgie said as she sat down. Dillon sat down across from her.
"So how are you?" Dillon asked her nicely.
"I'm doing great." Georgie said smiling. Dillon smiled back. Dillon noticed that she was constantly holding her tummy. He looked back up at her and smiled. The waitress came to the table.
"What can I get you guys?" She asked them.
"I'll get five pancakes with um whip cream on them and a large glass of orange juice. Oh and uh make those pancakes thick, I like em fat." Georgie said smiling at the waitress.
Dillon laughed. "I'll just get some coffee, thanks." He said. The waitress walked away with their order.
"That's it?" Georgie asked him.
"Yeah I'm not too hungry." Dillon resonded.
"Wow. You love eating though." Georgie said to him.
"I'm planning on having a big lunch." He assured her.
"Okay." Georgie laughed.
"Georgie about yesterday, I didn't mean to make you cry or anything."
"No don't worry about it. It was nothing to cry over. I've just been really emotional lately you know. I mean my hormones are like going crazy on me." Georgie laughed.
Dillon laughed too but in his head he knew he was missing something. Something really big.

Dillon walked back and forth on the docks. He saw Lorenzo Alcazar walk down in his black suit.
"Good afternoon Dillon." Lorenzo said.
"Hey Mr. Alcazar. How are you?"
"I'm doing all right, how about you?"
"I'm okay."
"I heard you were in LA?" Lorenzo asked sitting down on the bench.
"Yeah I was there for a couple of months. I came back yesterday."
"Did you have a good time?"
"Yeah it was nice but I missed PC too much." Dillon said sitting down next to Lorenzo.
"You look worried." Lorenzo commented. "Is everything okay?"
"Yeah everything is fine. I just-I don't know. I have this strange feeling that Georgie is hiding something from me. I mean I think I know what it is but I just wish she would tell me."
"Yeah been there, done that. When I was with Carly a couple years ago, that's how I felt all the time. I can understand where you're coming from. Look don't worry about it okay? Georgie is an honest person and whatever it is she'll tell you. If it's really important you would have known by now." Lorenzo said.
"You're right Mr. Alcazar." Dillon said. They were both quiet for a few minutes lost in their own world. Georgie walked out on to the docks with ice cream in her hand. She saw them sitting there completely quiet.
"Did something happen?" She asked. "I mean you're both so quiet..."
"No, I assure you everything is fine Miss Jones. We were both just thinking." Lorenzo said smiling. "It was nice talking to you Dillon." Lorenzo said standing up.
"Yeah same here." Dillon said getting up. They both shook hands and Lorenzo walked away. Georgie sat down a little out of breath. Dillon sat down next to her.
"So.." Georgie said smiling.
"So what?" Dillon asked her.
"What was up with you and Mr. Alcazar." She said nudging him.
Dillon laughed. "Nothing we were just talking." Dillon said.
"Uh huh." Georgie said laughing. She ate some of her ice cream. "You want some?" She asked Dillon.
"No thanks." Dillon said. "You know last night I went to the Cellar and met up with Deigo."
"Oh yeah? Did you guys have fun?" Georgie asked him still eating her ice cream.
"Yeah we only talked for like five minutes. He was acting weird though."
"Oh yeah how?" Georgie said munching on the cone.
"I don't know. He was congradulating me. Us."
"Really..." Georgie said getting up. She threw the rest of her cone away.
"Yeah why would he be congradulating us?" Dillon asked her. Georgie sat back down on the bench.
"That's weird. I don't know." Georgie said not making eye contact with Dillon.
"Georgie I wanna ask you something." Dillon said facing her. Georgie looked up at him.
"Yeah what?"
"This is probably gonna sound weird but um I don't know why I just kind of get the vibe that you're hiding something from me." Dillon said. Georgie looked away from him. "Are you...?"
Georgie tried blnking away her tears. She swallowed hard.
"Georgie..."
"Dillon I am hiding something from you." Georgie looked back at him. "I'm pregnant."

Chapter 10
Dillon stared at Georgie blankly. "You're what?"
"I'm pregnant." Georgie repeated. A tear fell down her soft face. She looked away from Dillon.
"Do you know who the father is?" Dillon asked. Georgie looked back at him suprised. She thought he would know. She stood up.
"This is even harder than I thought it would be." She muttered. Dillon stood up too. He moved behind her.
"Georgie, who's the father?" He asked again. Georgie turned around to face him.
She looked straight into his eyes and could see the mixed feelings. "Dillon...you are the father." She said slowly. Dillon stared back at her not saying anything. He didn't know what to say. He walked away from her and sat down on the bench. He put his arms out on his knees and held his head looking down. Georgie watched him for a minute or so.
"Dillon, I am willing to take full responsibility for this child. You don't have to worry." Georgie said. He looked up at her. Georgie saw the anger surrounding him. She was a little scared.
"Georgie this is my child also. How in the world do you except me to let you take full responsibilty for it?" He said angrily.
"Because I have for almost 5 months now Dillon."
"Because you didn't tell me." Dillon said raising his voice. He stood up and went closer to her. "Why didn't you tell me"? He said. Georgie could hear the hurt in his voice. "Why?" He asked again softly.
Georgie didn't know what to say. She wiped the tears from her eyes. "Dillon you weren't here." She started. "You were in California getting away from everything."
"That-that doesn't matter. None of that matters. You should have told me Georgie." Dillon said.
"For God sake's Dillon!" Georgie said angrily. "Could you just once, just once put yourself in my position? Can you try to understand how I am feeling through all this? Dillon the morning after we slept together, I knew that you only did it because you were on rebound. You love Sage, Dillon. Not me. You were only saying that to make me feel better. And then you came to my office telling me that you were leaving and you exept me to think that you weren't leaving because of me?" Georgie cried. "Dillon when I found out that I was pregnant, the only thing I could think of was not telling you. I couldn't cause you anymore pain than I already had. I know you left Port Charles because of me. I know you regret our night together. And now...and now you're going to regret it even more." Georgie paused for a minute. "You don't know how hard this has been for me okay? My own parents can't even stand the sight of me. They hate me because I'm carrying an innocent baby. And now you're here, yelling at me because I didn't tell you. Do you understand why Dillon? Do you understand now?" Georgie finished. She wiped her face and stormed off.

"Miss Jones you can't keep taking taking on this much stress. It's not good for the baby. You know the baby can feel every emotion that you're feeling." Dr. Meadows said to Georgie.
Georgie sat up straight fixing her shirt. "Yeah I read about that in the books. It's just that there's so much going on. I don't know how I can be stress free."
"You need to just relax. Try not to think about everything that's going on. Take a break from work until you're feeling better."
"Okay." Georgie said. She tied up her hair.
"Other than that, the baby is very healthy."
"Thanks Dr. Meadows." Georgie said getting up. "I'll try and take your advice."
"Don't try, do it." Dr. Meadows said walking out of the hospital room. Georgie chuckled. She picked up her purse and made her way out of the room too. She went to the information desk to set up her next appointment.
"Hey Georgie." Brook Lynn said from behind her. Georgie turned around and gave her a big smile.
"I haven't seen you in such a long time." Georgie said.
"I know I've been flying around so much lately. I finally finished recording the new album." Brook Lynn said.
"Oh that's great! I can't wait until it comes out. When did you get back?" Georgie said. They both started walking.
"Last night. I was supposed to get back earlier, but the weather down in Florida was just horrible."
"Oh I'm sorry to hear that." Georgie said.
"Anyways, hows the baby and the mother doing?" Brook asked sweetly.
"We are both doing great." Georgie said happily.
"That's good. You're looking great too." Brook said patting Georgie's belly. Georgie laughed.
"I can't stop eating." She cracked.
Brook laughed too. "Have you told Dillon yet?" She asked cautiously.
Georgie sighed. "A couple days ago. He didn't take it too well or maybe I didn't give it too well. One of the two."
"He'll come around." Brook said giving her friend a hug.
"Thanks."
"Hey if you ever need me, you know how to reach me." Brook said. Georgie smiled.
"Well it was great seeing you again. I better get going."
"Okay see ya around."
"Take care." Brook said going in to the elevator. Georgie went and sat down on one of the sofas in the hospital. "How in the world can I not be stressed out?" She said to herself. She sat back against the sofa.
"Have you been avoiding me for the last couple of days?"
Georgie looked up to see Dillon standing in front of her. "Well I don't really have much to say to you." She said. Dillon sat down next to her.
"Well if you don't mind, can I just say a few words?"
Georgie looked at him. "Sure."
"Okay, well I've been thinking about this. Where we stand in all this. And well first I just wanna say that I am really sorry for everything. I don't even know where to begin. I just want you to know that I did love Sage when we slept together but I also want you to know that I do not regret it one bit. I wanted to be with you that night Georgie. And everything about it was perfect and I would never ever change it. I would never take it back." Dillon took Georgie's hand. "I love you. I've said it before and I'm going to say it again. G, you're my best friend. You're my everything. How can I possibly not love you? Yes it's not that kind of love but the love that friends share. Best friends. And I know you feel that way too. This baby you're carrying is our baby. We created it...together. And we're going to take care of it together too. I'm not gonna let you do this by yourself. I'm here and I'm gonna help because I love this child just as much as you do."
Georgie smiled at him. She hugged him tightly resting her head on his shoulder. "Thank you." She whispered.
