Chapter Eleven
Merry Christmas, shortcake,” Dillon whispered picking up his wailing daughter from her crib. He rocked her back and forth trying to soothe her cries.
Dillon carried Mia into the kitchen and grabbed a bottle out of the refrigerator. He placed in the microwave and heated it up.
He checked the clock. 6:20, it read. Ten minutes left of peace and quiet before Carly would call and ask him, Mia, Sam and Jason to come across the hall to open Christmas presents.
He looked down at his beautiful daughter and kissed her forehead. Never in a million years would he have guessed that he would be a father at this time in his life. But Dillon couldn’t imagine a day without Mia now.
And just on time, at 6:30, Carly called saying it was present time. Jason and Sam slowly walked out of their bedroom, rubbing their sleepy eyes, walking blindly trying to find the coffee pot. Dillon handed them each of mug of the hot liquid and grabbed the milk and sugar.
“Thanks, man,” Jason mumbled pouring spoonfuls of sugar into his cup. He took a sip and walked into the living room to grab the bag of presents. Sam followed behind him holding on to her coffee as if it were gold. “Merry First Christmas, Mia,” she cooed, tickling the baby’s feet as her father held her in his arms.
Georgie walked out of the nurse’s lounge carrying a large Christmas dish. “Aunt Bobbie, do you want me to put the plate of cookies out on the table right now? Or should I wait until later?”
Bobbie hurried behind her carrying some presents to place under the hospital Christmas tree. “No, why don’t you put them back into the refrigerator so the kids won’t eat them before Santa gets here. Or Lucas,” Bobbie laughed watching her son steal a gingerbread cookie from the plate. “I’m so sorry your dad can’t make it. I can’t believe he signed up to work over time on Christmas!” she exclaimed.
“G, would, you, mind helping me hang some of these decorations mom and Audrey had me pick up?” Lucas asked. He quickly sneaked a cookie off the plate and popped it into his mouth. “Sure,” She grabbed some tinsel out of the bag and began stringing it around the tree. “How’s college going? Have you met anyone?” Georgie not so subtly hinted at.
Lucas laughed. “No, I’ve been trying to focus on my studies,”
Georgie snorted, “Come on, Lucas, you can’t lie to me. How many frat parties have you gone to this year so far?”
Lucas grabbed some mistletoe and hung it on the ceiling, “So Mom told me about Dillon’s daughter,” he said quickly changing the subject. “That’s so weird seeing him as a dad. How are you two doing? Is he treating you right? He better be, or we’ll have to have a little chat once he gets here,”
Georgie laughed. Lucas was always a little over protective to her. She couldn’t believe she once liked him. “That transition was smooth like chunky peanut butter,” she giggled. “Dillon and I are good. He treats me like a queen. And Mia is wonderful. She’s such an angel. It took a little getting used to her, but I’m accustomed to seeing him with a bottle in his hand and a burp rag on his shoulder,”
Lucas smiled. “I’m glad you’re happy,” he handed some presents to Georgie and she placed them under the tree.
“Look at Miss Georgie Jones! What a young lady she has become!” Lucky yelled walking off the elevator with his girlfriend Elizabeth Webber and her six month old son, Cameron next to him.
Georgie blushed at Lucky’s remark. “Hi guys,” she smiled and greeted the new arrivals.
“They grow up so fast,” Nikolas said as he pretended to wipe a tear from his eye.
“I feel so old,” Elizabeth admitted.
“Speak for your self,” Emily laughed adding to the conversation.
“Georgie!” Morgan Corinthos yelled running into her arms.
“Hey Buddy! Merry Christmas!” she wished the little guy and kissed his cheek. She sat down on the couch placing him in her lap.
“Merry Christmas, Georgie,” Michael said.
“Hey dude! Merry Christmas,” she gave Michael a high five and a big hug. Carly and Sonny joined them and sat in the chairs across from the sofa. Georgie saw Sam and Jason talking to Bobbie.
She looked around some more. Two members of their clan were missing.
“Where’s Dillon and Mia?” she asked.
“Romeo will be here shortly,” Carly teased. Georgie laughed and rolled her eyes.
Carly whispered something in Michael’s ear and placed a small box in his hands. “Georgie here’s your Christmas present,” Michael said. He handed her a present wrapped in colorful paper. She placed Morgan down next to her and unwrapped the small box.
She opened it and inside was a pair of small diamond earrings. She gasped at the gift. “Oh my goodness! Thank you so much!” she hugged the boys again and Sonny and Carly.
Dillon walked off the elevator pushing Mia in her pink stroller. He took her out of the car seat and fixed her red dress and bow. He kissed her cheek and saw Georgie sitting on the couch with her back turned. He walked over to her.
“Merry Christmas,” he whispered in her ear.
Georgie’s face lit up at the sound of her boyfriend’s voice. She turned around and smiled.
“Merry Christmas,” she said back.
Morgan jumped off the couch. “Uncle Dillon, look what we got for Georgie!” he yelled sitting down in his mother’s lap.
Dillon sat down next to her and looked at the earrings in her hand, “Wow, that’s giving my present a run for its money,” he joked.
“Speaking of presents, I have yours and Mia’s right here,” Georgie took a box and an envelope out of her bag and handed them to Dillon. “That’s for Mia,”
Dillon opened the gift and pulled back the tissue paper. Inside laid a sleeveless pale yellow dress embroidered with pastel colored flowers. A pair of white shoes, tights, and a matching bow completed the outfit.
“I know she can’t wear it now, because it’s too cold but maybe this spring we can go for a picnic or something and she can wear it there. I bought it big for that. If you don’t like it, I can take it back. I saved the receipt and everything and—,” Dillon leaned over and kissed her. “Thank you,” he whispered.
Georgie smiled. “Do you like it Miss Mia?”
The baby babbled to Georgie and she laughed. “I’ll take that as a yes,”
He ripped opened the envelope next. Inside were two tickets to see The Drowsy Chaperone on Broadway in New York City.
“I thought maybe we could go. It’s over your birthday weekend,” she explained, “We can stay over, maybe go see the show. There’s also a film festival that weekend. Maybe we can check out some of the documentaries,” she explained hopefully.
“Free babysitting is included in that as well,” Carly added. Georgie and Dillon both laughed.
Dillon gaped at the tickets in front of him, “You’re amazing. It’s perfect. You’re perfect. Thank you, so much,” he kissed her again.
“Well I’m glad you like it,” Georgie grinned.
“Now just how do we sneak you out of the house?” he pondered.
Carly, Sonny, Sam, and Jason meandered over to the pair. “Hey you guys,” Sam said.
“Hi,” Georgie smiled.
Sonny smiled at Georgie and then turned to Dillon, “Dillon, the four of us wanted to wait until later to give you your Christmas present. Well it’s for you and Mia,” Jason explained handing him an envelope.
Dillon took the envelope out of his cousin’s hand and gave the four adults a confused look. “But you guys gave us our gifts already. The toys and new clothes for Mia were enough. I mean really this is too much. We don’t need any more and—,”
“Dillon Quartermaine, shut up and open your present!” Carly instructed.
Dillon nodded. He handed Mia over to Georgie and opened the envelope. His eyes widened in shock at finding a key inside.
“That is a key to your new apartment. Now we know you love living with us, but with the addition being added to our family in a couple months, we need that bedroom back. And you and Mia need your own place. She needs to grow up in a home of her own,” Sam said.
Dillon nodded but stood at the key in his hand, still shocked.
Georgie thought for a moment and realized what Sam said. “Wait! ‘Addition being added to our family in a couple months’ Sam, are you pregnant?” Georgie asked.
Sam and Jason both looked at each other and grinned. “I’m six weeks along! I found out last week!” she squealed. Georgie and Dillon both hugged the soon to be parents.
“See why we need to kick you out,” Jason pointed out.
Dillon nodded, “Guys, I don’t know what to say. I’m speechless,”
“That doesn’t happen often,” Carly piped in.
“Thank you so much, all of you,” he shook hands with Sonny and Jason and kissed Sam and Carly’s cheek.
The elevator doors opened and Mac walked off hoping to surprise his daughter on Christmas. He spotted her talking with Dillon Quartermaine and he fumed. He stomped over to them but was stopped by Bobbie. “Mac, it’s Christmas, don’t make a scene,” she said.
Mac gaped at her for a moment. “She’s not supposed to be with him. I specifically told her to stay away from that delinquent and she disobeyed what I said,”
“Mac, it’s the Christmas party. She can’t avoid seeing him. This floor isn’t that big,” she said calmly.
“Bobbie, she shouldn’t be with him. He’s bad for her. She can’t get hurt being with him,” he tried to explain.
Bobbie sighed. Sometimes he was so stubborn, “Mac Scorpio you will not ruin Christmas for that girl. She has been through a lot over the past couple of months. She’s happy right now. Look,” Bobbie pointed over Mac’s shoulder to Georgie laughing as she tickled a baby and Dillon had his arm around her shoulder.
Mac sighed, “You’re right,”
Georgie spotted her dad talking to her aunt. “Dad!” she yelled with a big smile dancing over her face.
Mac walked over to her and he kissed her cheek. “Merry Christmas, Georgie. I came to surprise you,”
“You did surprise me! Thank you! This made my Christmas,” she gave him another big hug. Mia began to fuss and Georgie rocked the baby.
Mac smiled at his daughter. “Whose baby is that?”
Dillon walked over to Georgie and took Mia out of her arms. “Actually Mac, Mr. Scorpio, sir, that’s my daughter,” he grabbed a pacifier out of the diaper bag and placed it in Mia’s mouth.
Mac stared at Dillon for a few seconds letting it sink in. “You…you…have a daughter?” he asked.
“Yeah, Mr. Scorpio, sir, this is Mia. Her mom was Sage Alcazar. She landed on my doorstep, literally, about a month ago,” Dillon explained. He kissed her forehead and placed her over his shoulder.
“She’s adorable, Dillon,” Mac spit out, trying to think of words to say.
Dillon smiled, “Thank you. She got her looks from her mom, thank goodness, but she got her hair from me,”
Mac nodded, “If you will excuse me, I’d like to go say hi to some of the people here,” he walked away from the group and over to talk to Edward Quartermaine.
Georgie and Dillon stood gaping for a second.
“Was that just my dad?” Georgie asked to no one.
“I think so,” Dillon replied. “He took that really well. Seeing you with me,” Dillon remarked.
“Maybe Aunt Bobbie said something to him,” Georgie wondered.
“If she did, I love your aunt,” Dillon stated.
An hour later, the presents had been opened, tissue paper and wrapping paper scattered all over the floor and smiles decorated the children from the hospital’s faces.
Georgie was standing over at the nurses’ station talking to Emily, who was holding Mia, and Nikolas.
Dillon walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. “How my princess doing?” he asked.
“She’s an angel, Dillon,” Emily grinned. Emily and Nikolas gave each other a quick kiss and Georgie sighed. To be newlyweds.
“Can I borrow you for a second?” Dillon asked Georgie.
She nodded and he led her over to a corner. “Merry Christmas,” he said handing Georgie her present.
She smiled at him and opened the box. She locked eyes for a moment with him and then they widened again at the locket lying in velvet. “Dillon, oh my gosh! It’s beautiful. Thank you so much,” She hugged Dillon and kissed him.
“I’m happy you like it,” he grinned.
“I love you,” she whispered against his lips.
Emily and Nikolas walked over to the pair. “Lovebirds, look where you’re standing,” Emil pointed out.
Dillon looked around and shrugged. “What’s she talking about?” he asked.
Georgie laughed, “I think she means that,” she explained pointing to the mistletoe hanging above their heads.
Dillon looked up, “Oh you know what that means,” he wiggled his eyebrows and dipped Georgie for a big romantic effect. He brought her back up and she wrapped her arms around Dillon’s neck to deepen the kiss.
Emily jokingly covered Mia’s eyes and laughed. “So do you like your gift?” she asked. “I saw Dillon and Jason the day Dillon picked that out. He was so nervous you wouldn’t like it,”
“I love it,” Georgie smiled.
“Well, I had my side kick, here, to help give her approval on it,” Dillon kissed Mia’s cheek.
She laughed and Georgie grinned. “Thank you, Mia! I’m glad you helped your daddy. I don’t think he could do it without you!” she took the little girl out of Emily’s arms and danced her back and forth.
Jason joined the group, “I helped too, right, Mia? Dillon kept us in that jewelry store for hours trying to find the perfect gift,”
“Thanks Jason,” Georgie beamed.
Jason gave Georgie a wink, “You know if he was looking for someone else, I would have left. You must really be really special,”
“Oh, she is,” Dillon smiled.

Chapter Twelve
“Hey, Georgie,”
Georgie looked up from her text book and smiled at Sam. “Hi, Sam, how are you today?”
“I’m good, we just finished our first ultrasound,” Sam grinned. She patted her belly. At thirteen weeks, a small bump was showing. Jason walked up to Sam and Georgie. “Hey Georgie,”
“Hi Jason,”
“Sam, here are the pictures from the doctor,” he handed her some black and white photos.
“Thanks, honey,” she kissed his cheek. “Should we tell her now?” Sam asked Jason.
“Tell me what?” Georgie wanted to know. She was intrigued.
A small smile escaped from his mouth. He looked at Georgie with his piercing blue eyes and then back at Sam. He gave Sam a tiny nod. Sam squealed and turned to the teen. “We’re having twins!” she beamed.
Georgie gasped and ran over to the new parents. She gave them each a big hug. “That’s so exciting! How are you two taking the news?”
Sam and Jason giggled. “We’re a little surprised, but happy,” Sam explained. Jason kissed her cheek. “So what do you and Dillon, have planned for tonight?” Sam asked.
“We’re heading to a movie and then probably to Kelly’s for some dessert. This is the first time the two of us have been out since Mia came to live with Dillon,” Georgie looked at Sam, confused, “How did you know Dillon and I had plans?”
“We’re your babysitters for tonight,” Sam explained.
“God bless you two,” Georgie laughed.
“So, what did you think of the movie?” Dillon asked holding the door open for Georgie. She quickly ran through the door, trying to escape from the cold February weather. The restaurant was pretty empty for a Saturday night. Dillon guessed that the previous snow fall earlier in the week, kept people cooped up in their homes.
Georgie sat down at a table near the counter and placed her coat on the back of the chair. “It was good, not as good as Roman Holiday, though,” Georgie gave him a smile.
“Will anything ever be as good as Roman Holiday?” Dillon asked, looking at his menu.
Georgie thought for a moment, “Probably not,” she giggled.
Penny walked over to the teens, “What can I get for you two, tonight?”
Dillon looked at Georgie, “She’ll have a double soy latte with caramel syrup and a cinnamon stick. I’ll have a cup of coffee with extra sugar and cream. Add two slices of that delicious chocolate cake on the counter there ala mode,” Penny smiled and walked over to the kitchen to get their drinks and dessert.
Penny quickly returned with the food and drinks.
“So Miss Jones, do you have a date for Valentine’s Day, yet?” Dillon sipped his coffee.
“No one’s asked me yet,” Georgie mentioned, taking a bite of her cake.
“Well then, Georgiana Jones, will you do me the honor, of being my date for Valentine’s Day?” Dillon looked Georgie right in the eye.
“I guess so,” Georgie shrugged.
“You guess so? You guess so?! That’s the response I get?” Dillon laughed.
Georgie rolled her eyes. “Fine! Yes, Dillon Albert Quartermaine, I will be your date on Valentine’s Day and I will go to where you have planned to go,” she shouted loud enough to make an effect, but quiet enough to not draw too much attention to her self.
“Yes!” Dillon replied and leaned across the table. He kissed Georgie softly on the lips. She smiled against them and whispered, “I love you,”
“I love you too,” Dillon replied and kissed her nose, “Do you know what I realized?”
“What’s that?” Georgie asked.
“I have a horrible middle name,” Dillon sighed.
Georgie burst out laughing. “And you think that Georgiana is better?”
“I think it’s a beautiful name,” Dillon replied, “It fits perfectly since you’re a beautiful girl,”
“That was really cheesy,” Georgie mumbled.
“Well it’s true,” Dillon kissed her again.
Mac Scorpio had just worked five hours of over-time at the Port Charles Police Station and he was tired. He wanted to pick up his dinner from Kelly’s and go home and catch up on sleep. He walked through the double doors of the diner to find his youngest daughter in a lip lock with Dillon Quartermaine.
The one guy he told her to stay away from. Mac fumed. He marched right up to the pair and pulled them apart. “What the hell are you doing with my daughter?” Mac slammed Dillon up against the wall.
“Dad, stop it! You’re hurting him!” Georgie shouted.
“Georgie, be quiet! I’ll deal with you in a moment,” Mac shouted back. He wasn’t in the mood for excuses.
“Mr. Quartermaine, sir, Georgie and I were just eating dessert,” Dillon tried to explain.
“If you know what is good for you, you will never come near my daughter again. Because if I catch you with her, I will make your life a living hell, do you understand?”
Dillon nodded. Mac let go of him, “Georgie, we’re leaving now,”
“But dad---,” Georgie tried to begin.
“Now,” Mac sternly said.
Dillon gained some bit of courage and opened his mouth, “Sir, if you don’t mind me asking why you don’t want me with Georgie?”
Mac turned around and counted to ten. His blood pressure was rising. He could tell, “Because,” he seethed through his teeth, “I don’t trust you,”
“But I do,” Georgie mumbled through tears.
Mac faced his daughter, “Georgie! Stop it! You do not love him. He is a lying, cheating, mobster, whom could get you killed at any moment. He is a dangerous snake who doesn’t care about you. He slept with Alcazar’s niece and now he has a daughter he didn’t even know about until a couple months ago,” Mac screamed.
“I love him Mac and you can’t keep us apart,” Georgie yelled through tears.
“Watch me,” Mac yelled at her. Georgie cried.
“Dad, I turn eighteen in a month, after that, you can’t stop me from whom I see,”
“If you live under my roof, then you will not see this delinquent. And that is final,” Mac looked straight into Georgie’s eyes. He wasn’t kidding.
“Good bye, Dillon,” she sniffled.
Mac handed her her coat and the two of them walked out of the restaurant. Dillon’s heart ached. He just wanted to grab her and never let go, and soothe her cries. But he couldn’t.
Georgie sat in the car looking out the window, as Mac yelled at her. She was grounded for a month, school, home, hospital, and babysitting, but only if it was at Bobbie’s Brownstone. Tears streamed down her cheeks. She missed him already.

Chapter Thirteen
“Everything has to be perfect for tonight,” Dillon commented to himself, running around his new apartment like a mad man. Carly sat on the floor playing peek-a-boo with Mia. “Dillon, everything is perfect. Now sit down and relax,”
Dillon sat down on the couch, his foot tapping on the floor. He stayed there for about thirty seconds when, “I’m going to hop in the shower,” He announced and walked out of the apartment to Sam and Jason’s penthouse upstairs.
“Your daddy…” Carly mumbled to the now five month old Mia Quartermaine.
Georgie drove up to Bobbie’s brownstone and parked her car in the street.
It was Valentine’s Day.
The most romantic day of the year and she was stuck babysitting Michael and Morgan. It wasn’t that she didn’t love the two boys or want to spend time with them, but she wanted to be with Dillon.
Mac had kept a close eye on her for the past two weeks. She hadn’t seen or talked to Dillon since the fight at Kelly’s and it was eating her up inside.
She got out of her car and walked up to the front door. She knocked on the door and turned the knob. “Aunt Bobbie, I’m here,” she hung her coat on the coat rack and walked into the living room. “Michael, Morgan, where are you guys?”
Bobbie walked out of the kitchen holding her purse wrapped in her coat, scarf, and mittens. “They’re at home, sweet heart. Now go put your coat back on, we’re leaving,”
Georgie stood in the living room befuddled. “Was I not supposed to baby-sit tonight?”
Bobbie chuckled, “No dear, this was a set up. Now come on, we’re going to be late,”
Georgie gave Bobbie a confused look, but nevertheless, followed her out to her car.
They drove to the Harbor View Towers. “Alright get out,” Bobbie joked, “Now Dillon has something special planned for tonight for you so head to his new. And don’t worry about Mac. I’ll call and tell him you’re sleeping over because after the party, we all decided to go out to get some drinks or dessert or something and it’s late and you fell asleep on the couch. Have a good time tonight. Happy Valentine’s Day, sweet heart,”
Georgie sat in the car still confused. “Georgie, go, you’re going to be late!” Bobbie instructed.
“Why are you doing this? If Mac finds out—,”
Bobbie cut her off. “I can’t let him stand in the way of true love,” she explained simply.
Georgie nodded and gave her a smile. She kissed her aunt’s cheek. She ran to the entrance of the apartment building and waved hello to the doorman. She hurried into the elevator and up to the floor of Dillon’s apartment. She found his door and knocked. “It’s open!” she heard him shout from the inside.
She slowly opened the door. Rose petals led a pathway to a round table for two lit by a candelabra. Candles were around the room. Drop cloths covered the furniture, and plastic was on the floors but the apartment looked beautiful. Dillon’s new sofa was uncovered and his TV sat in front of it. On the wooden coffee table she saw the DVD case for Roman Holiday.
Dillon walked out from what would soon be the kitchen, clad in a maroon dress shirt with a silver tie and pin striped black pants. Georgie thought he looked hot. “Well hello there,” Dillon walked up to Georgie and wrapped his arms around her waist. He kissed her softly. “Happy Valentine’s Day,” he whispered.
“Happy Valentine’s Day,” she whispered back.
“You look beautiful,” Dillon commented.
Georgie looked down at her jeans, her simple pink v-neck tank top and black sweater over top, and gave Dillon a crazy look, “Dillon I’m just wearing—,” Dillon put a finger to her lips. “Shh, you look beautiful and don’t ever think otherwise,”
Georgie blushed and smiled. Dillon loved that affect he had on her. She pulled him in closely and kissed him softly on the lips. He pulled away after a moment and touched his forehead with hers. “I love you so much,” he whispered.
Georgie looked directly into his eyes. “I love you too,”
He put his arm over her shoulder and led her to the table set for two. “Tonight, Madame,” Dillon began in a bad French accent, “we are having a delicious meat rolled together with breadcrumbs and herbs. Delicate pasta strands in a wonderful tomato sauce,”
Georgie giggled, “You mean spaghetti?”
Dillon laughed and rolled his eyes, “If you want to call it that,”
Georgie sat there and stared at the room decorated before her, while Dillon ran to get their food.
“Bon appetite!” Dillon replied placing the food in front of Georgie.
“Sap,” Dillon teased, watching Georgie dab her eyes with a tissue. He had his tie off and was sitting on the couch in his maroon dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up.
Georgie smacked him across the arm, “Oh hush. I just love that movie. It’s such a bittersweet ending,” she sniffled, “It’s my favorite movie,”
Dillon smiled at her, “I know it is. That’s why I picked it,”
Georgie looked up at him and grinned, “I love you,”
“Love you too,” Dillon leaned down and kissed Georgie’s nose. Georgie leaned in closer and kissed Dillon’s lips.
“Let’s see what’s on the cooking channel,” Georgie said grabbing the remote from the coffee table.
“No way am I watching some cooking show,” Dillon declared.
Georgie gave him a weird look, “What are we too masculine for the cooking channel?”
Dillon rolled his eyes at her, “Just hand over the remote,”
“Nuh uh,” Georgie replied hiding the remote behind her back.
“Fine then, we’ll settle this my way if you can’t be civil,” Dillon leaned over on top of Georgie and began tickling her sides.
“Dillon, stop!” Georgie shrieked as he attacked her sides. “Fine! Uncle!” she cried after a moment. She took the remote from behind her and placed it in Dillon’s hand.
“Thank you,” Dillon said. He stared into Georgie’s eyes for a moment. He placed the remote on the coffee table. She reached her hand up and pulled his face towards hers for a kiss. Their lips crashed together. Dillon tasted Georgie’s cherry lip balm. He used the tip of his tongue to coax her mouth open. He licked slowly around the inside of her lips, letting his tongue brush over her teeth.
“Dillon...,” Georgie gasped as he explored the depths of her mouth.
Dillon’s mind went a little crazy at the sound of his girlfriend moaning his name as they lay on his couch. He kissed a trail from her mouth down her jaw.
Georgie giggled as he nibbled on her neck. She grabbed head so that his lips met hers again. They kissed hotly, Georgie’s hands combing through Dillon’s hair. He ran her hands up her back. She reached for the buttons on his shirt, when she suddenly pulled her lips away from his and sat up. “I can’t do this. Not yet,” she sat with her head in her hands tears starting to roll down her cheeks.
Dillon buttoned the top three buttons of his shirt and kissed Georgie’s shoulder, “Hey, its ok. Don’t worry about it,”
Georgie put her face in his neck, “You must think I’m some dork don’t you? You planned this romantic night for me and arranged everything. You even cooked and I’m not ready to make love to my boyfriend,”
Dillon took Georgie’s face and brought it up to his, “Don’t ever think that I planned this just to sleep with you tonight. I would never do that to you. Ever, and don’t think that I would ever pressure you into having sex with me. Georgie, I can wait a month, a year, or even ten years; when ever you are ready. Ok? We’re taking things slow, remember?”
Georgie nodded brushing the tears from her eyes.
“Come here,” Dillon scooped Georgie into his arms and kissed her temple. “I love you so much. I would never do anything that could jeopardize losing you. I lost you once; I couldn’t lose you again,”
Georgie pulled away from his grasp and stared him right in the eyes, “I’m not going anywhere,”
“Good,” Dillon laughed. They were silent for a moment, just lying in each other’s arms.
“Dillon,” Georgie finally spoke, “Do you think Mia’s still up?” she asked.
“I wouldn’t be surprised. She doesn’t sleep easily for Sam and Jason,” Dillon replied.
Georgie smiled at him, “Do you think we could get her and bring her down here? I haven’t seen her in a couple weeks and I miss her,”
Dillon grinned at Georgie. Sometimes he could not believe how lucky he was. “Yeah, I’ll give them a call. Hold on a sec,”
A few minutes later, Sam knocked on the door carrying Mia wrapped in a pink cotton blanket.
“Your special guest is here,” she announced opening up the door. Dillon and Georgie were cleaning up the table. “Hey, pretty girl!” Georgie cooed. She took Mia out of Sam’s hands and cradled her in her arms. “You are getting so big!”
“I packed a bag with a bottle and some toys too. And here’s her play pen. Just in case she falls asleep,” Sam explained. She smiled at the three and walked out the door.
Dillon sat down next to Georgie and Mia on the couch. “Mia, did you tell Georgie you’re sitting all by yourself?” Dillon asked.
Georgie gasped at the little girl and clapped her hands. Mia smiled at Georgie and babbled. “You are getting so big! Gosh, I can’t believe I missed all of this,”
Dillon wrapped his arms around Georgie. He nuzzled his face in her neck, “Move in with me then,” he teased.
Georgie smiled, “I wish, but that will happen when pigs fly,”
Mia gave Georgie a big toothless smile and she tickled her belly. “I love you, pretty girl,”
Dillon was aghast, “What about me?” he pretended to pout.
“You’re ok too,” she shrugged.
“‘Ok’ my butt,” Dillon leaned in and kissed her cheek.

Chapter Fourteen
“Ok, now here’s her favorite blanket. Here’s the bear, from Georgie, she sleeps with every night. And you just press this button to turn on her monitor. And there’s a monitor in the kitchen and one portable monitor in the living room. And she likes to be rocked to sleep. And singing always helps. Her favorite song is My Girl by the Temptations. And—”
“Ok, ok, Dad,” Carly interjected. “Now get out the door before my husband and Jason fire your butt,”
Dillon kissed Mia’s head. “Thanks, Carly. I appreciate it. I mean Sam is usually the one who watches her, but since she’s visiting Danny, you’re the next best thing,”
“Aww, I feel so loved,” she commented dryly. “Now go!” She shoved Dillon towards the door. “Ok, ok. I’m going. Bye sweetie. I love you. Be good today,”
Carly waved Mia’s hand. “Don’t worry, daddy. We’re going to borrow your credit card and go on a shopping spree. I hear Osh kosh put out a new line of over-alls,”
“That’s not funny, Carly,” Dillon replied sarcastically. He laughed walking down the hall and towards the elevator. Monday morning had crept up on Dillon faster than he had expected.
He walked into the elevator and pulled out his cell phone and dialed the familiar number.
“Good morning,”
Georgie smiled. “Good morning to you too, I was waiting for you to call. I’m almost at school,”
Dillon stepped out of the elevator and walked over to his car. Snow had fallen the previous day. It was late for a blizzard, but New York weather was unpredictable, “I know and I’m sorry. I was trying to get Mia all set up with Carly and I’m running behind,”
“So, I’ll see you tonight?” Georgie asked hopefully.
“Yep. Are you sure Mac doesn’t know about me picking you up tonight to celebrate your birthday?”
Georgie shook her head. “No way, Mac’s been working so many extra hours; it’s amazing he actually sees me. And plus Aunt Bobbie came up with the plan for me to ‘baby-sit the boys so she and Carly could go out’, and he won’t say no to Bobbie,”
“And I’m sorry we’re doing this so late. I would have celebrated it last weekend, but you know, you weren’t in town,” Dillon teased.
“Mac insisted he take me out for my eighteenth birthday. It was really nice to spend time with him. It kinda felt like things before my mom left and Maxie left for boarding school and college,” she pulled into the school parking lot. She took her keys out of the ignition and grabbed her bag. “Ok, I’m here at school. I’ll talk to you later. I love you,”
Dillon smiled. “I love you too. And I’ll see you tonight,”
Georgie closed her cell phone and headed through the front doors and towards her locker.
Dillon walked into Kelly’s with Sonny and Jason behind him. A one hour meeting had turned into three and a half and all three men were starving. They sat down at the usual table and Mike walked up to them. “Hey guys, what can I get you?”
“Cheeseburger with fries and a Coke,” Sonny said.
“Clam chowder and a root beer,” Dillon added.
“And I’ll have a BLT with extra pickles, an order of onion rings, and orange soda,” Jason said.
“Coming right up,” Mike left the table and walked behind the counter to kitchen.
“So,” Jason began, “what do you have planned for Georgie tonight?”
“I’m taking her to dinner at The Cellar and then we’re going to a midnight showing of her obsession, Roman Holiday, at the old revival theatre on Marigold Street,” Dillon explained.
Sonny nodded, he was impressed. Georgie Jones had become apart of his family and deserved to be treated right. “What did you get her for her birthday?”
Dillon smiled at the question. He was proud of himself for this idea. “I got her this music box that plays her favorite song, ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’, and inside is a pearl bracelet I found. She once told me that her mom had one and she used to wear it when she was little,”
Mike had returned with the food, “Who did you pick the bracelet out with?” Jason asked, eating an onion ring.
“Emily helped me pick it out,” Dillon explained.
“And you didn’t take me? Dillon, I’m crushed,” Jason remarked sarcastically.
Georgie trudged down the hallway towards her English class. It was ninth period; the last one of the day. She sat down in her desk and pulled out her vocabulary book. Corey Finney, a friend since kindergarten, plopped down in the desk behind her with his girlfriend, Eden Cavanaugh, sitting next to Georgie.
“So, G, what do you have planned tonight?” Corey asked.
“Any plans with Dillon?” Eden added.
Georgie smiled at her friends, “Dillon is taking me out and celebrating my birthday,”
“And your step dad won’t catch you?” Corey asked.
Georgie shook her head, “Mac’s working late tonight,” she replied.
Eden sighed, “You two are just like Romeo and Juliet,”
Georgie laughed and Corey rolled his eyes at his girlfriend. The bell rang and Mr. Palmer walked into class and took a seat in front of the class on his stool. “Good afternoon class, everyone open up to unit twelve in your vocabulary books,”
The class fumbled with their books and flipped to the pages. The door opened and a man dressed in jeans and a black tee shirt, stepped inside the room. “Can I help you young man?” Mr. Palmer asked.
The young man didn’t utter a word. He stared at the class.
Just then the power went out in the building and three shots were fired inside the classroom.

Chapter Fifteen
“This just in, shots were fired inside Port Charles High school, it appears that one of the classrooms is being held hostage,” Dillon looked up from his conversation and brought his attention to the television screen. “Students were seen running from the building covering their heads about ten minutes ago,” the reporter said. “We’re live here trying to get news of what was going on from someone. Mam, could you please tell me what was going on inside?”
A young girl, who looked about fifteen with brown hair that fell straight down her back looked at the reporter, absolutely terrified, “Umm, from what I heard, a man walked into the school with a gun and picked a room in the C-wing English rooms and fired. He cut the power,” the girl began to cry and a friend came over to comfort her.
Dillon stared at the screen. His brain rattled, trying to think of Georgie’s schedule.
AP Biology: periods 1 and 2, Honors Trigonometry: period 3, Honors Spanish 5: period 4, Chorus: period 5, Lunch: period 6, Study hall: 7th and 8th,
and…” Dillon heart jumped into his throat. AP English was Georgie’s ninth period class.
He leaped up from his spot at the table, threw down a ten dollar bill and bolted out the door. Jason and Sonny followed close behind.
Georgie opened her eyes to find the room filled with chaos. She felt a stabbing pain in her side. She placed her hand on her stomach and felt hot liquid. She brought her hand up to her face and saw crimson blood covered on her hand. She began to panic at the blood.
“Everyone up against the wall,” the boy ordered. Students scrambled to the area underneath the black boards. Georgie tried to stand, but failed miserably.
“Oh my gosh!” Eden cried. Corey leaped over desks to get to Georgie. He placed his hand firmly on the wound to keep it from spilling out any more blood. Eden stroked Georgie’s honey blonde hair, trying to keep her friend calm. “You’re going to be ok, Georgie. You hear me? Don’t give up on us,”
“I said up against the wall,” the captor yelled.
“She can’t move. She’s injured,” Eden seethed.
“Well then, you’re going to have to move her,” the captor ordered.
Corey scooped Georgie up in his arms and slowly carried her over to the wall. He sat down next to Eden and laid Georgie down.
“Georgie, stay with us. You can’t give up. You have to stay awake ok?” Corey said.
“Shelly, you’re bleeding,” Georgie whispered, noticing her friend’s cut.
Shelly touched her cheek. “It’s just from ducking under my desk. I’m fine,”
Corey turned to the captor, “I have to get her out of here. She’s lost a lot of blood,” Corey told the captor.
“No,” the man said sternly. “No one gets out,”
“But, if we don’t, Georgie could die. The police are outside, and when they storm the school, and catch you, do you want a death charge added?” Eden held the tears that were building up in her eyes, so her friend wouldn’t see.
The young man smirked at her and fired the gun into the air. “I said no one leaves, are we clear?”
The room fell silent.
Dillon arrived at the school first to pure hell.
People scurried everywhere. Frantic parents searching for children, scared teens ran the farthest from the school.
Dillon pushed through the swarm of people to try to get close to the school. He saw the police barricade and ran up towards Mac. “Did Georgie make it out? Is she ok?”
Mac pushed Dillon aside. “I have not found her yet Dillon,” he said firmly.
Dillon began to grow upset, “Well don’t just stand there! Go in and find her!”
Mac stared Dillon right in the eyes. “I am doing my job and following protocol. Now get out of my way and leave my daughter’s safety to me!” Mac yelled.
Dillon stood there, “Georgie’s safety is as important to me as it is to you. I love her and she loves me,”
“I don’t have time to deal with this. Stand over there then,” Mac instructed.
“Dillon, come over here and wait,” Sonny ordered. He and Jason had just arrived and were standing a few feet behind Mac.
Dillon hung his head and slowly walked over to the men.
The bell signaling the end of the day rang. It had been forty-five minutes of pure hell.
Their captor sat in a desk on the opposite side of the room staring at his hostages. Not one of them dared to speak. Georgie’s face grew pale as time went by. Police sirens could be heard outside.
“Why are you doing this?” A red headed girl named, Jamie Melbourne asked.
The boy ignored the question.
“Are there others?” a frightened Natalie Williams asked. Her eyes filled with tears.
Before he could answer that, the phone in the classroom began to ring. The captor stood up from his desk and picked it up. “Hello,”
“This is Commissioner Scorpio from the PCPD. I am here to negotiate with you on the release of the hostages in your classroom,” Mac explained.
“There will no negotiations. I want $10,000,000 placed into an account at the bank and then I will set your hostages free. Until then, if anyone storms the school I will kill them all,” the man chuckled into the phone and hung up.
“Are you working for someone? Because I’ve never seen you around on campus before,” Steven Marcus asked.
“That is none of your damn business! And no more talking!” the captor screamed.
“I’m tired. Are you tired Corey?” Georgie asked softly. Eden looked at her boyfriend and then down at her friend. She let a couple tears fall as she stroked her friend’s hair.
“Yeah, I’m tired Georgie. But you have to stay awake ok?” Corey told her.
“He wants $10,000,000 transferred to a bank account,” Mac told one of the officers.
“Well you’re going to give it to him right?” Dillon asked after over hearing the conversation.
“Dillon, I said stay out of it,” Mac yelled.
Sonny walked up to a panicking Dillon and put his hand on his shoulder. “If its money he wants, I can pay it,”
“No,” Mac said severely.
“But Mac, Georgie will die!” Dillon cried.
“We do not negotiate with him. We have a plan to enter from across the pavilion and burst into the classroom,” Mac explained.
Dillon threw his hands up in the air and rolled his eyes. “That’s a great plan Mac. Surprise attack him. What if he decides to go on a bullet rampage? Shots flying everywhere! That classroom’s only so big! One of them is bound to hit Georgie!!!” Dillon screamed at Mac.
“I am doing the best I can with the situation at hand. If you don’t like it, then get out of here and go home to your daughter!” Mac yelled back.
Dillon tried to protest but Sonny pulled him away from Mac. He pulled him over towards a tree. “Sit down and stay here,”
Dillon shook his head no, “I have to go in and rescue her,”
Jason stared at Dillon, “Dillon what are you planning on doing? Running into the school and bursting in the classroom and tackling the guy? He has the upper hand with a gun. You’re bound to get yourself and others killed if you do that,”
Dillon looked away from Jason. Sonny’s cell phone rang. “Hello...Yes Carly, we know. We’re at the school now…No…we think Georgie is one of the students being held hostage…He’s not doing too well…” Dillon tuned out on most of the conversation.
He heard Mac order the SWAT team into the school and Dillon put his head in his lap and cried for the first time in a long time.
Noise was heard across the pavilion. The police were storming the school.
“I told them to stay away or you all die. Well I guess when you don’t listen you need a consequence,”
The man pressed a button in his pocket and the school erupted in noise. Windows shattered and lights fell.
The halls soon filled with smoke and it poured through the door. Students began to cough.
“I think the school’s on fire,” Grayson Dean, the school quarterback, told the class.
“It is time for my grand escape. It’s been a pleasure all of you. Now if you want to live, you’ll stay here,” the captor told the class. He shot a couple more bullets into the ceiling and walked into the hallway filled with smoke. Shots were heard down the hall.
Corey looked down at Georgie. Her face was pale; her eyes were barely staying open. “Mr. Palmer, I have to get her out of here,”
Mr. Palmer nodded and walked over to the door. “Follow me class. Cover your heads and walk as quickly as you can to the exits at the end of the wing,” The class got up from their spots on the floor and frantically ran out the door. Corey picked up Georgie and walked out of the room.
The hall was filled with ash and smoke. A bomb, Corey guessed, was set off at the other end of the hallway blocking a way for the police to get in. He thanked God that their room was near the exits at the opposite end. Students from other classrooms joined the hostages and swarmed the exits, no one seeming to have severe injuries except Georgie.
“We’re almost at the door,” Corey whispered in her ear.
Dillon saw Shelly run out the door past the police barricade. “Where’s Georgie, Shelly? Is she ok?” Shelly sobbed in Dillon’s arms and he rubbed her back. Her mom approached and took her daughter over to a paramedic.
Corey walked out of the school carrying Georgie, who was unconscious. The SWAT team surrounded him and quickly led them over to the ambulance. Dillon’s heart leapt into his once again; as he watched the red droplets fall and hit the crisp white snow.

Chapter Sixteen
It was late.
Dillon sat on the leather couch in the dark flipping through the TV channels.
He didn’t bother to turn on any lights.
Dillon knew waiting for an update at the hospital on Georgie would drive him insane.
Dillon Quartermaine was not the most patient person.
Carly offered to watch Mia for the night, but he refused. He needed to be with the other most important girl in his life. He had held her close to him and watched The Wizard of Oz until Mia fell asleep.
Emily promised Dillon he would be the first one she’d call with updates on Georgie’s condition.
But the phone hadn’t rung yet. And that promise was made four hours ago.
Dillon sighed and turned the television off. No movie could focus his mind away from the reality of his life. He sat for a moment and let the happy memories flood his mind.
*Flashback* There, standing in the rain, was Georgie.
She looked at him with a big smile on her face, her clothes wet, and water dripping from her hair.
He ran out the revolving doors to meet her in the storm. Georgie smiled at him, biting on her lower lip shyly, and twisting her hands together, as Dillon approached her.
“Georgie,” he responded, barely audible, awed that she was standing in front of him.
“Hi,” she whispered, she grinned.
Without thinking, Dillon grabbed Georgie’s face and pulled her into a kiss. And they stayed that way, for several minutes letting the world pass them by. But to Georgie and Dillon, it seemed that time was standing still.
***
“Georgie, popcorn’s ready. Let’s start that movie!” Dillon exclaimed from the kitchen. “Too bad Michael and Morgan missed you. I know they wanted to see their buddy Mia. Did you know he wants me to be your mommy?” she asked the baby and lightly giggled.
Dillon stopped at the doorway and stopped to hear the rest of the conversation.
Georgie didn’t hear him. “Some day, maybe. Hopefully,” she chuckled, “Not now though. You’re daddy and I are little young to get married,” she continued to rock her slowly back and forth. Georgie sat down on the couch holding Mia. She turned the movie on and tickled her toes.
***
Emily and Nikolas walked over to the pair. “Lovebirds, look where you’re standing,” Emil pointed out.
Dillon looked around and shrugged. “What’s she talking about?” he asked.
Georgie laughed, “I think she means that,” she explained pointing to the mistletoe hanging above their heads.
Dillon looked up, “Oh you know what that means,” he wiggled his eyebrows and dipped Georgie for a big romantic effect. He brought her back up and she wrapped her arms around Dillon’s neck to deepen the kiss.
***
“Well the, Georgiana Jones, will you do me the honor, of being my date for Valentine’s Day?” Dillon looked Georgie right in the eye.
“I guess so,” Georgie shrugged.
“You guess so? You guess so?! That’s the response I get?” Dillon laughed.
Georgie rolled her eyes. “Fine! Yes Dillon Albert Quartermaine, I will be your date on Valentine’s Day and I will go to where you have planned to go,” she shouted loud enough to make an effect, but quiet enough to not draw too much attention to her self.
***
“I love you too,”*
End Flashback*
Dillon blinked out of the memories and walked into the kitchen. He went into the fridge and got himself a soda. He glanced at the phone on the wall to see if the message light was blinking because for some reason he missed a phone call. But there was no blinking light.
“Ring,” Dillon told the phone, wishing it would obey him. “Just ring!” he yelled. “Come on Emily! Call me and let me know she’s ok. Let me know that my life isn’t going to change forever. Because it can’t. I need her. So just call and let me know she’s asleep in that hospital bed! Because if she’s not, I don’t know what I’m going to without her,” tears poured out of Dillon’s eyes. He knocked the kitchen chair over as he walked back into the living room. Mia’s cries blared over the baby monitor.
He dried his wet eyes with his sweatshirt sleeve and walked into her nursery. He turned on the light and picked up his squirming daughter from her white wooden sleigh crib. “Hi princess,” he spoke softly, “I didn’t mean to scare you,” Dillon bounced his daughter in his arms trying to soothe her cries. “Daddy’s here. You’re ok,” he reassured.
“I’ve got sunshine, on a cloudy day,” he began to sing, “When it’s cold outside, I’ve got the month of May. Well, I guess you'll say, what can make me feel this way? My girl, my girl, my girl, talkin' 'bout my girl,” Dillon spun Mia around in the room.
“My girl,” Mia’s cries soon turned into quiet hiccups. Dillon sat down in the pink rocking chair and continued to sing, “I've got so much honey, the bees envy me. I've got a sweeter song, than the birds in the trees. Well, I guess you'll say, what can make me feel this way? My girl, my girl, my girl, talkin' 'bout my girl,”
Dillon looked down at the sleeping daughter in his arms. “My girl,” he whispered.
He sat there for a couple more minutes listening to Mia’s steady breaths. He heard his cell phone ringing in his pocket. He quickly answered it before it woke up the sleeping baby. “Hello?” Dillon spoke softly.
“Dillon, its Emily,”
Dillon took a deep breath preparing for the worse, “How is she?” he stuttered.
“She’s out of surgery and sleeping in the ICU. She’s not out of woods by a long shot, the next twenty-four hours are critical,” Emily explained.
“Is she going to live?” Dillon choked out.
“The doctor’s are hopeful,” Emily said. “It’s gonna be ok, Dillon,” she tried to reassure.
Dillon nodded, “I keep telling myself that, trying to believe it. But you know its just not working. It won’t until I see her awake and talking to me,”
“I know, Mac said he has to work tomorrow night. So why don’t you sneak in then? I’ll watch Mia for you,” Emily offered.
Dillon gave a small smile, “Thanks Emily. I appreciate it. I gotta get Mia to bed. I love you, good night,” he closed his cell phone and kissed Mia’s forehead. “Talkin’ ‘bout my girl, my girl,” he softly sang.

Chapter Seventeen
“Hey, beautiful,” Georgie heard come from somewhere in her hospital room. She slowly opened her eyes and saw Dillon standing in the doorway of her room
“Hey,” she said softly. She tried to sit up but the pain shot up her back. Dillon quickly jumped to her side and helped her get adjusted. She gave him a grateful smile and he sat down on the foot of her bed. “So,” he began, “how are we today?”
“Happy you’re here,” Georgie replied. She had been in the hospital for eight days total, three of which she was awake for, and Mac hadn’t allowed Dillon anywhere near her once he heard she was awake. Bobbie finally kicked him out of Georgie’s room to shower and get some rest.
And Dillon took the opportune moment to see Georgie. “Well I’m glad to here that,” he kissed her sweetly on the nose, “How’s the pain?” he asked.
Georgie shrugged, “It hurts like hell. But…the pain killers are helping,” Dillon laughed at Georgie’s bluntness. “I see you’ve got some friends,” he said, pointing to the stuffed animals at the foot of Georgie’s bed.
Georgie nodded and giggled, “Bobbie brought them in saying that Morgan didn’t want me to be alone. This one is Teddy,” she said picking up a brown stuffed animal bear.
“Creative name,” Dillon remarked.
Georgie rolled eyes and laughed, “He’s four, Dillon. At least he didn’t name it ‘Bear’,” Georgie commented on Dillon’s stuffed animal he used to play with.
Dillon gasped, “That is a very original name, thank you very much. I spent many sleepless nights trying to think of it,”
Georgie just laughed, “Uh huh, ok,”
“Hey, are you up for a visitor? She’s small, squirmy, very cute, with big brown eyes and light brown hair,” Dillon asked.
Georgie grinned, “Bring her in here!” she ordered.
Dillon gave her a look, “Are you sure? I mean you don’t have to see her. I’ll understand if you’re in pain or not up for a six month old, teething baby. I’ll bring her by later and—,”
“Dillon!” Georgie interrupted, “Please bring her in here. Please,” she said.
Dillon flashed her one of his famous grins, “As you wish, my dear,” he walked out of the room for a moment and shouted something down the hall.
She soon saw Emily walking into her hospital room carrying Mia in her arms. “I’m so happy you two are here together. Because I know Dillon missed Georgie. And I’m sure Mia did too. Right, Miss Mia?” Emily tickled the baby and kissed her cheek.
Emily playfully slapped him on the arm. “You need to know how worried about you he was. He would call me every twenty minutes, Georgie, asking about you. Nikolas is going to kill me this month for my cell phone bill,” Emily giggled.
“Emily, you’re married to a prince. I don’t think he’ll be upset,” Dillon reminded her. Emily laughed and messed up Dillon’s hair. “I’m sure you two, well three, have some catching up to do. I’ll leave you guys alone,” she closed the door behind her and walked down the hall.
Georgie stared at Dillon and smiled at him, “What?” he asked.
Georgie shook her head, “Nothing. Just how did I get so lucky as to find someone like you?”
“I know I’m pretty special,” Dillon scoffed. Georgie laughed.
Bobbie knocked on the door and popped her head inside, “Hey, sweetie, and Dillon! And Mia! Oh it’s so nice to see you two here,” she walked into the room and hugged the young man. “Let me see this darling little girl,” Georgie handed Mia over to Bobbie. Bobbie babbled to the little girl and bounced her back and forth in her arms.
“Did you need something Aunt Bobbie?” Georgie asked.
Bobbie stopped baby talking to Mia and looked up at the teen, “Oh right. I was just letting you know that your doctor’s said you can go home in about an hour. We had Mac fill out your paper work this morning. So we just need the doctor to sign and you’re free to go,”
“Woo hoo! You’re free!” Dillon cheered. Georgie and Bobbie both laughed and Mia joined in the giggling.
“You are such a goober,” Georgie told him.
Dillon leaned over, “But you love me,” he leaned in and kissed Georgie. Bobbie looked at the love struck couple and sighed. There was nothing like true love.
Bobbie tickled Mia’s belly when her pager went off.
The loud beep frightened Mia and she began to cry. Dillon dove for her pacifier in the diaper bag and Bobbie handed Mia to Georgie. She rushed out the door and down the hall. Georgie rocked the baby back and forth, trying to soothe her cries, as Dillon dug for the pacifier. He soon found it and put it in Mia’s mouth. Her cries subsided and turned into hiccups.
Dillon stood against the wall by the door and just grinned at her. “What?” she asked with a smiled.
Dillon shook his head, “Nothing, it’s just, I thought I lost you. And you’re here in front of me, holding my baby. I just don’t know what I, we, would do without you. I just love you so much,” tears graced Dillon’s eyes as did Georgie’s,
“Baby, come here,” she motioned for him to sit next to her. She scooted over, before the pain hit her. She sucked in a deep breath, trying to make it go unnoticed. But Dillon saw and took note, “I can stand, its ok,”
“No, sit, I’m alright,” Dillon sat next to her and touched his forehead with hers. He kissed her nose and then Mia’s head.
“I want you to know, I’m not going anywhere. You can’t get rid of me that easily,” Georgie explained. Dillon laughed and Mia giggled too. “I love you so much, Dillon,” she leaned in and kissed him. Dillon deepened the kiss a little bit and then pulled apart. “Right back at ya,” and he winked.
Dillon left a half an hour later and Georgie welcomed sleep with open arms.
Mac walked into the room shortly after she drifted off. He sat in the chair and watched Georgie sleep for a moment. Georgie slowly opened her eyes and waited a second for them to come into focus. “Hey dad,” she said in a raspy voice.
Mac kept a stern face, “Georgie we need to talk,”
Georgie sat up with the little strength she had and gave Mac a questioning look.
“Bobbie told me Dillon came here to visit,” he spoke slowly, “I told him to stay away from you. And he didn’t listen. But I didn’t expect him to. However, I did expect my daughter to follow my instructions and stay away from that delinquent!”
Georgie’s face grew pale as horror over came her, “Mac I’m sorry,” Georgie cried. “But I love him,”
“You don’t know anything about love,” Mac ridiculed.
“Yes I do. More than you do. Dillon cares about me. He calls me to make sure I’m ok. He writes me emails with random love notes in it. He trusts me and respects me,” Georgie tried to explain.
“Georgie just stop!”
“No, I won’t stop! When’s the last time you heard from mom, Mac? Huh?” Georgie accused.
“Leave your mother and me out of this, Georgie! Dillon works for a mobster. He is a mobster. Who knows what he’s involved in and what kind of enemies he has out there. I’m trying to protect you,” Mac said.
“Right and I could get myself killed by dating him. Well guess what Mac? I haven’t! But going to school, I was shot in the stomach! Should I stop going to school? Or should I just not step out of the house anymore!? Would that make you happy?!?!” Georgie screamed through a wave of tears.
Mac began to count back from ten, “Georgie,” he began, “What happened to you was a freak accident. Being with Dillon could intentionally put you in danger. And I won’t stand for it,”
“I’m over eighteen now, Mac. You can’t keep me away from him,” Georgie responded, folding her arms.
Mac gave her a look that said she was testing his small shred of patience he had left, “As long as you live under my roof, young lady—,”
“Well maybe I don’t want to live with you!” Georgie yelled at the top of her lungs.
Mac paused for a moment and stared at Georgie. Did she really just say that? “If you want to choose that punk over your family be my guest. If you’re serious, I want you moved out by five o’clock tomorrow evening when I get off my shift,” he spoke calmly as he tried to hide his outrage. And with that statement, he walked out the door.
Georgie through the pillow at the door, “Well I don’t need you!” tears began to pour uncontrollably from her eyes. She reached for her cell phone on the table next to her bed and dialed a familiar phone number. “Carly, it’s me,” she sobbed. “Could I stay at your house tonight?”

Chapter Eighteen
Georgie came down from the spare bedroom at Carly and Sonny’s penthouse and slowly walked into kitchen. She sat down at the table across from Carly. “Good morning, sleeping beauty,” Carly said sipping her coffee.
“Morning, Carly,” Georgie mumbled. “Where are the boys and Sonny?”
“Michael is at a sleepover and Morgan is upstairs in his room playing. He didn’t realize you were here. And Sonny is at the coffeehouse this morning,” Carly explained, getting up from her seat to get Georgie a mug of coffee. She placed it down in front of the teen and Georgie gave her a grateful smile.
“So, do you want to talk about it?” Carly asked, sitting back down.
Georgie shrugged, “Mac found out that Dillon came to see me and he freaked. He told me not to see Dillon again, that I could get myself killed. But you know what, Carly? I’ve always been safe with him!”
Carly tried to calm down the teen, “I know, honey, I know,” Georgie continued, “So he said that if I live under his roof, I can’t see Dillon. And then I said that maybe I didn’t want to live with him. And he said that my stuff needs to be out of the house by the time he gets home tonight,”
Carly paused for a moment, taking in what had happened, “Does Dillon know?”
Georgie shook her head. “I have to call him soon and see if he’ll help me set up a room at Kelly’s with Mike. Since he lived there for a little before he moved in with Sam and Jason,”
“Georgie Jones, you will not be staying at Kelly’s especially in your condition,”
“But, Carly, I’ll be fine,” Georgie tried to say before Carly interrupted her.
“We have another bedroom here at the penthouse. You will stay right here with us. We’ll make it work. I promise,” Carly explained.
“Carly I don’t want you to think you have to help me. I’ll be ok at Kelly’s. And besides, I can’t afford the rent at this place. I can probably waitress to pay for my rent at Kelly’s,” Georgie said.
“You will be staying here and that’s final,” Carly winked at the girl. She got up from the table and began to wash the dishes in the sink. “I’ll call the painter and my designer and have them come over to set up the perfect room for you. Now, go up and get changed and then you and me, along with Max and Milo, will head over to your house and help you pack up your stuff,”
Georgie nodded, “Thank you so much, Carly,” she hugged her friend and weakly walked out of the kitchen and up the stairs.
The teen returned fifteen minutes later in a pair of borrowed sweatpants and her familiar pink sweatshirt. Her hair was pulled into a ponytail. She walked down the steps and saw Morgan sitting on the couch playing with his cars. “Georgie!” the young boy screamed. He ran up to her and wrapped his arms around her waist. She drew back at the pain and the boy and began to get upset. Carly walked into the living room with her purse on her shoulder and ran over to Georgie. “Hun, are you ok?”
Morgan’s eyes began to water, “I’m sorry Georgie!” he cried. The teen did her best to not show the amount of pain she was in, “its ok, buddy, you just hit my boo-boo. It was just an accident,”
Carly picked up her youngest son and held him on her hip. “It’s ok Morgan,” she rocked him back and forth until he stopped crying. “Should we go help Georgie pack?” she asked.
“Georgie’s moving?” the boy questioned.
Georgie nodded her head, “I’m going to be living with you. Right down the hall!” the boy cheered up and reached from his mother’s arms to give Georgie a hug.
The doorbell rang and Morgan climbed down from his mom’s arms and ran to the door, “I’ll get it!” he shouted. Georgie walked behind him and opened the door, “Hey you guys Mia and I wanted to see if— Georgie…what are you doing here?”
“Georgie’s moving in!” Morgan cheered raising his arms in the air.
Dillon paused for a moment and gave Georgie a confusing look, “You’re moving in here?”
“For now,” Georgie mumbled twirling her fingers together.
Carly looked at the couple. “I think you two need some time to talk,” she took Morgan’s hand and pushed Mia in her stroller out of the door, “We’ll be down at your apartment if you need anything,”
Dillon took a deep breath, “Why are you moving out? Did something happen?”
“Last night,” Georgie began, “after you left, Mac came to see me. He found out that you were there and freaked that I didn’t kick you out. He said that as long as I live under his roof, I can’t see you. And I told him that maybe I didn’t want to live there anymore. And he kicked me out. His reasoning was something about I could get killed being with you,”
Dillon scratched the back of his head, “Well Mac is right Georgie. You could get hurt or killed being with me. Working for Sonny and Jason gives you many enemies out there,”
“But I don’t care about that!” Georgie yelled.
“Well I do!” Dillon yelled back, “Every day I wonder if I’m making the wrong choice working for such dangerous men. I question if I am putting my daughter’s life in jeopardy, your life in jeopardy,”
“But Dillon, I don’t care about your job. I don’t care what you do or what enemies you have. I love you no matter what you do or who you work for. I feel safe around you. I haven’t gotten shot or killed because I was your girlfriend so far. But I was shot in the stomach at school,” Georgie remarked bitterly.
“Do you want to talk about that?” Dillon asked quietly.
“No!” Georgie screamed, “I don’t! I just want to forget it happened and move on!”
“Georgie, you can’t do that. You’re going to have to live with this for the rest of your life every time you see that scar,” Dillon explained.
“Just stop ok? I go back to school in two weeks and everything will go back to normal” Georgie asked. She walked away from Dillon and began to rearrange the magazines on the coffee table.
“Georgie, I won’t stop. You’re going to have to talk about it eventually,” Dillon said calmly.
“Shut up!” Georgie screamed. She dropped the magazine on the table began to cry. Dillon ran over to her side and wrapped his arms around her shoulders and held her close to him. She sobbed onto his shoulder. “It’s ok, Georgie. You went through something traumatic. Its gonna take some time to get over,” he pulled apart just far enough that he could see her face, “But you do have to talk about it. And I will always be here to talk to you and I have a great shoulder to cry on,” Georgie laughed a little. She pulled away and dried her eyes with her sweat shirt sleeve. “Thank you,” she sniffled.
“Anytime Georgie girl,” he kissed her forehead and gave her another hug. “So what’s the deal with your living situation now?” he asked holding Georgie’s hand as they walked out of the door.
“Mac said I had to be moved out by the time he got home tonight. So we were on our way to go pack up my stuff. I’m staying here at Sonny and Carly’s until…I don’t know when,” she smiled.
Dillon returned the grin, “Well I would just like to let you know that, I am quite a good neighbor. No one has ever complained about me,”
Georgie had to laugh, “That’s good news,”

Chapter Nineteen
“How is that you have this brand new room at Sonny and Carly’s. And they’re away this weekend, and yet, you’re at my place all the time? I mean honestly, Carly had those designers and carpenters and other guys working around the clock making sure it was finished in under a week. And you’re here,” Dillon asked his girlfriend who was lying down in his lap studying for her physics test.
She sat up and turned around to face him, “It is because in my place I don’t have an adorable baby around and, here I can see her all I want,”
“Well she is asleep right now,” Dillon raised his eyebrow, “what’s your excuse?”
“I just wanted to be with you,” she explained. She tilted her head up to steal a quick kiss.
Dillon nodded his head in agreement, “That works,”
“Oh I’m glad I have your approval of my reasons for being over here,” she replied dryly, reading her book again.
“And why are you studying on a Friday night? Shouldn’t you be out with your friends partying or something? You go back to school on Monday,” he said.
“I want to be up-to-date on work when I head back. And you’re home,” she came back with.
“Uh, hello, baby,” he picked up the pacifier on the coffee table.
“Uh, hello, babysitter,” she stated.
“My babysitters,” Dillon pointed to the ceiling, indicating his family the floor above, “Are away for the weekend,”
“Well then I guess we’re stuck with each other. But from the sounds of it, you want me to leave,” teased Georgie.
Dillon shook his head, “If I had it my way, you would never leave this apartment,” he kissed her cheek.
“Well I’m glad to here it,” she snuggled back, and started reading again.
“Well I think you’ve done enough studying,” Dillon commented grabbing the heavy text book. “Dillon, don’t lose my page!” she shouted but Dillon threw the book to the floor. “You are so uptight,” he laughed and Georgie rolled her eyes. He leaned in slowly to give her a soft kiss, but Georgie beat him to it and pulled him into a passionate kiss.
Dillon returned it and couldn’t hold back a moan as she opened her mouth for him. He cupped her neck with one hand, resting his weight on the other. He didn’t want to crush her stomach, since her wound was still healing.
She deepened the kiss and wrapped her arms around his neck; her fingers running her fingers through his hair knowing that it drove Dillon wild. His hands ran up and down her sides over her curves. Dillon pushed her wavy hair off her shoulder and began to suck where her neck met her shoulder. She bit onto his shoulder; muffling her scream so not to wake the baby.
She pulled Dillon’s lips back to hers. Lips crashed together over and over again as hands roamed over the other sides and back. Dillon pulled Georgie’s sweatshirt over her head, leaving her in a black camisole.
Georgie, in one swift motion, pulled Dillon’s sweater over his head and hurled it to the floor. Their lips crashed back again, their tongues swirling together, passion igniting between them. A loud clap of thunder crashed outside and a cry blared over the baby monitor.
Georgie and Dillon pulled apart, their breathing short and heavy. “That was…wow,” he said gasping for breath.
Georgie nodded in agreement reaching down for her discarded sweatshirt on the floor. She tossed Dillon his sweater and he quickly slipped it on and hurried down the hall towards his daughter’s room. “Shh! Princess, its ok,” Dillon swayed back and forth as he cradled his daughter in his arms. He sat down in her white wooden rocking chair and moved back and forth, trying to calm his daughter. He could hear the rain hitting the window loudly.
He picked up the pacifier that was on table next to her wooden sleigh crib and placed in her mouth. Mia stared at Dillon, giving her the “I’m wide awake, Daddy,” look. Dillon sighed. “I guess we’re not to sleep anytime soon,” he paused for a moment thinking of what to do.
“How about a story,” he cooed. He placed Mia down in his lap so that she was facing him. “Once upon a time,” he began in a theatrical voice, “there was…this boy with funny hair…and the funny haired boy moved to this town when he was sixteen years old after his mom dumped him with the family,”
Mia began to fuss again and Dillon laughed, “I was upset too when I heard that part,” he said, “And one day, the boy with funny hair went to this diner just to make a phone call. That’s all he wanted to do was use the phone, but just as he was about to, this beautiful girl grabbed him and kissed him,” he smiled remembering the day in Kelly’s. “But the beautiful girl was just using the funny hair boy to play a trick on her sister, because she was totally in love with her cousin,” the baby squealed and gurgled, “Yeah I won’t get into it. I know icky, right?”
“Hey,” Georgie said, walking into the room. She smacked Dillon lightly on the shoulder and kneeled down next to him, “You see Mia, the girl, even though she was really smart, she didn’t know anything about love,” Georgie added.
“That’s right, she was dumb,” Dillon laughed and Georgie rolled her eyes. “But the boy with funny hair and the beautiful girl became friends and soon fell in love,”
Georgie continued, “And the beautiful girl and the boy with funny hair’s mom made a deal, that she could get the boy to stop working for the mob wizard in town, then the girl would break up with the boy,”
Another crack of thunder happened and Mia let out a cry, “I know right? The boy’s mommy was a son of a bit—,” Dillon stopped, realizing that what he was about to say was not appropriate for six month old ears, “she was a mean witch,”
“And the funny haired boy did something very stupid when the beautiful girl broke up with him, that he regrets every day. But we won’t get into that…And the boy moved away from his psycho family and moved in with his crime lord wizard cousin and his wife,” Dillon told Mia.
“So the funny hair boy and beautiful girl both had broken hearts. And after some time apart, they realized that they still loved each other very much and decided to date again,” Georgie continued. Mia smiled at Dillon, “But the girl’s warlock dad didn’t like the boy with funny hair. So the boy and the beautiful girl had to keep their relationship a secret,” Dillon went on.
“Just like Romeo and Juliet,” Georgie added.
“Georgie,” Dillon whined, “tell me you did not just talk about literature when I’m trying to tell a fairytale,”
“Well, Romeo and Juliet is one of Shakespeare’s greatest plays,” Georgie defended,
Dillon rolled his eyes, “Yeah, yeah, whatever. We don’t care about some British dead guy’s greatest plays. Let’s go on with the story,”
“Did you know that West side story was based off of Romeo and Juliet,” Georgie said.
“Well, that’s alright because it’s a classic movie musical,” Dillon tossed at her. She could be so obstinate.
“And Romeo and Juliet is classic literature,” Georgie retorted, getting frustrated. He was so stubborn sometimes.
“Well, you know—,” Mia began to whimper again and squirmed in Dillon’s lap, “Oh right, the story. Sorry Mia. So the boy with funny hair and the beautiful hid their relationship in a way that resembled that play Georgie was talking about,” he mumbled and rolled his eyes.
Georgie snorted, “But one night the boy got a surprise. A special little girl was dropped off in front of his door. And he found out that it was his daughter,” Dillon exclaimed.
“So the funny hair boy and the beautiful girl continued their relationship along with the special little baby,” continued Georgie.
“But one day, the beautiful girl’s father caught the funny hair boy kissing his daughter. And was he piiisssed,” Dillon said through his teeth quickly, earning him a smack from Georgie, “he was really mad at the boy. And he forbid his daughter from seeing her handsome boyfriend,” he exclaimed!
“But the girl said she couldn’t live without the boy and she moved out of her house. And she moved down the hall in the castle building from the boy with funny hair,”
“And they got married eventually, once the beautiful girl was out of college and had a successful career as a writer and maybe a Pulitzer Prize, and they lived happily ever after with the special baby girl, whom they both loved a lot,” Dillon kissed Mia’s forehead and discovered that his daughter was sleeping soundly in his arms. Dillon placed her in her crib and covered her with the pink blanket.
He and Georgie walked out of the room closing the door behind them and went into the living room. “I love you,” he said, wrapping an arm around her shoulder and kissing her temple.
“Right back at’cha,” she replied. “So the boy with funny hair and the beautiful girl got married. And the beautiful girl won the Pulitzer Prize,”
“You betcha!” Dillon said.
“That doesn’t sound too bad,” Georgie stated.

Chapter Twenty
“Alright, princess, be good for Carly. Thanks again, Carly. We really do owe you,” Dillon kissed her cheek.
“It’s no problem. Now say, bye daddy! Bye Georgie!” Dillon hugged his now eight month old daughter, and kissed her cheek. “Bye, pretty girl!” Georgie cooed. Mia kicked in Carly’s arms and giggled.
“Ok bye, baby girl. Daddy and Georgie love you! Bye!” Dillon said. Georgie waved good-bye and dragged her boyfriend by the arm to the boarding gate. “First time leaving your daughter?” the stewardess asked.
“Yeah,” Dillon looked back as Carly wheeled Mia away in her stroller.
“He’s going through separation anxiety,” Georgie laughed.
“I went through that when my son went to preschool for the first time. I took the whole day off, thinking he wouldn’t want me to go and I would need to stay there. But he walked in and told me to leave right away,” the woman chuckled.
Dillon’s eyes grew wide, “That’s it! I’m home schooling her. She’s not going to preschool,” he commented.
Georgie giggled at Dillon’s panic, “Come on, we’re going to be late,” Georgie smiled to the kind woman and walked onto the plane. They traveled down the tight aisle to their seats, “So tell me again, why we are flying, when we could have just driven here? Or rode the train,” Georgie commented, sitting by the window.
“Because, my dear, this is more adventurous,” Dillon said, pulling out his iPod from his backpack. “And plus you’ve never been on a plane,”
“For good reason, I’m petrified to fly,” Georgie mumbled, buckling into her seat and closing her eyes.
It was only an hour and a half.
The pilot told the passengers that they were about to take off. Georgie took a deep breath and grabbed what she thought was the arm rest but turned out to be Dillon’s arm instead. She grasped on tight as the plane sped down the runway. Dillon chuckled at Georgie’s panic. “How did you get all the way to Texas if you didn’t fly?”
“We drove, on the road, way down there,” she pointed out the window at the streets below them. She took a deep breath and looked away from the window at Dillon, petrified.
He couldn’t help but laugh. She could be so cute sometimes. “Georgie, why don’t you try to sleep if you’re scared? I promise I’ll wake you if we have to make an emergency landing or if the back of the plane rips off,”
“That’s not funny, Dillon,” she remarked sarcastically and snuggled up against his side. She rested her head on his shoulder and he put his arm around her, keeping her safe against him. Her eyelids fell heavy soon and she was asleep.
When Georgie awoke next, Dillon was softly shaking her shoulder, “Georgie, sweetie, wake up,”
She startled and looked around the plane in a fear, “Is everything ok? Why did we land so fast?”
“Georgie, we’re here in New York City, we landed safely and on time,” he laughed.
“Oh that’s good,” Georgie said, yawning. She picked up her carry-on bag and purse and walked out of the plane. She and Dillon walked down the stairs and towards the baggage claim.
After forty-five minutes of waiting, they each grabbed their suitcases, hailed a taxi and headed to their hotel.
Georgie walked into the stunning lobby of the Hotel Plaza Athenee and gazed up at the extraordinary ceilings and ornate wall paintings. She wandered up to the concierge desk and smiled at the man behind the counter. “May I help you?”
“Ah, yes, I have a reservation under the name Jones,” Georgie spoke, smiling at Dillon.
The man checked the name on his computer and looked back at Georgie, “Uh, yes here it is, a reservation is for over night. You check out tomorrow morning. There are your room keys for the both of you. You’re in a deluxe suite with a private balcony, very romantic. Are you two here on a special occasion?” the man asked.
“We’re here to celebrate his birthday,” Georgie looked at Dillon and Dillon kissed her nose.
The man smiled, “Ah newlyweds I assume,”
Georgie looked at the man, “Oh we aren’t –,” but before she could finish she was cut off by Dillon, “Yes, is it obvious?” Dillon asked the man.
“You two seem so in love. A bit young though,” the concierge added.
“We’re high school sweethearts and didn’t want to wait,” Dillon fabricated. “It was a September wedding, the leaves were changing color. There was a nice breeze in the air. It was a beautiful day and my bride was even more beautiful,” he leaned over and kissed her cheek. She blushed. “Thank you for getting us set up,” Dillon smiled at the man.
“Of course,” the man grinned.
Georgie and Dillon walked into the elevator with their suitcases and bags. They reached their floor and quickly found their room. Dillon swiped his key and opened the door. The large marble entranceway led to a living area. Georgie set her bags down in the hall and stared at the contemporary French décor and European fabrics.
Dillon ran into the bedroom and hopped onto the bed with a loud thump. “Georgie look at this room!” she laughed at him and walked into the bedroom. “It’s gorgeous,” she added, sinking down next to him on the bed. “I’ve never seen such a pretty room,” she gazed around.
“Yeah, it’s beautiful at this hotel,” Dillon said.
“I’m sure you’ve seen hotels just as pretty as you traveled through Europe with your mom,” Georgie commented.
“That’s true, but this hotel is even more beautiful then those since I’m with the most beautiful girl in the world,” he said.
“Aww, Dillon that was a really cheesy line. But good try,” She giggled.
Dillon laid there for a moment and then propped himself up on one arm to look at Georgie. “Do you mind the whole, um, one bed thing, because if you do, which I don’t mind at all, I can sleep on the couch in the sitting area and—,” Dillon didn’t have to finish his thought before he was cut off by Georgie’s lips crashing into his. “Don’t even think about leaving me. I want to be close to you,” she said.
“Are you sure? I don’t want you to feel pressured; I mean its ok to wait. This weekend was not about us having sex. It’s about celebrating my birthday!” he cheered, a little arrogantly. Georgie laughed at him, “And spending alone time with you,” he kissed her nose. “Whatever happens; happens,” Georgie added. Dillon grinned at her.
He bent his head down and captured Georgie’s lips in a kiss. Dillon ran his tongue along the outside of her mouth, gently coaxing it open as Georgie allowed him to deepen the kiss. She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him on top of her. “Mmm…” Georgie moaned into his mouth. She ran her hands under Dillon’s tee shirt and his hands ran up the sides of her body, over her curves.
“Oh, Georgie...” Dillon groaned in a strangled voice, her name echoing from his lips into her mouth and down her throat as they kept kissing wildly on the king sized bed.
Georgie wrapped a leg around Dillon’s waist, pulling him closer to her. Her hands went in his hair, as their tongues battled in their joined mouths. Dillon wrapped an arm around Georgie’s back and rolled her over, scooping her off, onto his body. His warm hands ran up and down her back. Georgie sucked on Dillon’s tongue making him groan loudly into her mouth. At the sound, Georgie sucked harder, pushing her hips against his. Dillon pulled apart from the kiss, breathing heavily. “We have to stop,” he gasped. Georgie rolled off of him, her breathing matching his. “Why?” she asked confused.
“I didn’t want to, believe me,” he chuckled, “But pretty soon I wouldn’t have been able to. I didn’t want our first time to be together to be over so quickly,”
She smiled at him, “I love you so much,”
“I love you too,” he kissed her gently on the lips, “So, what do you want to do first?”
Georgie and Dillon walked through FAO Schwarz, holding hands admiring the toys. “Georgie, look, Don’t Wake Daddy, that’s such a good game. And look at the Hot wheels!” Dillon ran over to the wall of toy cars. He turned around to see Georgie laughing at him. He looked over her shoulder to see cases with classic action figurines in them. He walked over slowly, past Georgie, to the display. He stared at it with his mouth hanging open in admiration of the beauty in front of him. “Wow…” he mumbled.
Georgie walked up to him and wrapped her arms around his waist and rested her chin on his shoulder. “You are worse than Michael and Morgan, you do know that right?”
“I resent that!” Dillon shouted.
“No, more like you resemble that,” Georgie mocked, giggling. Her boyfriend’s jaw dropped and he stared at her. “That cut me right here, Georgie,” he pointed to his chest.
“I’m sorry,” she leaned up kissed his lips softly.
“You should be,” he replied. Georgie laughed at him and grabbed his hand, pulling him away from the action figurines.
They walked up another floor as Dillon played with every toy he could get his hands on. Georgie laughed as he ran around the store like a child. They walked into the doll section of the store. “This part of the store is boring!” Dillon whined, pretending to act little.
Georgie laughed, rolled her eyes, and smacked him across the chest. “Suck it up, Quartermaine,”
She walked past the wall of Barbie dolls and accessories reminiscing about her childhood to Dillon. They walked past a display table and Georgie stopped and gave a small gasp. She walked over and picked up a life like baby doll. She rocked it in her arms. Dillon came up behind her and put his arms around her waist. “I used to have a baby doll just like this when I was little,” Georgie whispered, “Her name was Lucy. She was my favorite doll. I took her everywhere. She’s um… in the attic at Mac’s house. I forgot to grab her when we packed,”
“Maybe Mac would let you get her,” Dillon offered.
Georgie shrugged, “Maybe, but I’m too afraid to ask,”
Dillon looked at the baby doll and smiled, “I remember when Mia was that small. She just sat in my arms and would stare at me with those adorable big brown eyes. I can’t believe she’s almost nine months old now,”
“I bet those brown eyes could get you to buy her anything,” Georgie laughed.
Dillon joined in on the laugh, “Pretty much. I’m weak, what can I say?”
“Oh, I know you are,” Georgie giggled. She leaned in and stole a quick kiss.
Georgie walked out of the elevator and towards the handsome man sitting in a chair, reading a book. Her maroon dress fell down just above her knee with a matching lace trim. Her v-neckline was dressed with lace as well. A playful bow tied in the front went around her waist in matching velvet and expanded into an empire waist as thin spaghetti straps lay on her shoulders. The shimmering silk fabric made her light skin glow. A pair of gold pumps dressed up her French manicured toes. Her hair was half pinned up and the rest fell down her back in soft curls.
She walked over to Dillon, whose back was towards her, and tapped him on the shoulder. She pressed her chin into his shoulder and whispered in his ear, “Excuse me sir, have you seen a handsome man with crazy hair, whom I am completely in love with in this hotel lobby?” she kissed his cheek softly.
Dillon closed his book, his back still facing Georgie, “Well I do believe he was waiting for his girlfriend to get ready, since she was taking foreve---,” Dillon turned around and paused when he saw Georgie standing there.
Her soft makeup and smoky eye shadow made her irresistible. “You look amazing, gorgeous, and spectacular…I can’t take my eyes off of you,” he took Georgie’s hands in his and kissed her slowly with passion on the lips. She pulled apart from him after a moment and stared into his eyes, “Hi,” she murmured.
“Hi,” he smiled. He picked up a bouquet of pink roses off the table in front of the chair, “These are for you,” she gave him a small gasp and threw her arms around his shoulders.
“Thank you so much. They’re beautiful!” she kissed him again her lips crashing into his. She walked over to the front desk, “Excuse me, could you please do me a favor and put these gorgeous flowers my husband,” she looked at Dillon who gave her a wink, “gave me in a vase and put them in our room for me please?” the woman at the front desk smiled. “Of course Mrs. Quartermaine,” Georgie blushed at the name. She loved hearing that.
She and Dillon walked outside of the hotel. “Should we have the doorman hail us a taxi?” she asked.
Dillon shook his head no. “Nope, Sonny is letting us use his car and driver for the night. It’ll take us to the show and then pick us up and take us to dinner. And take us wherever we want to go,”
“So you mean to tell me we didn’t have to walk around the city all day today and kill my feet, which are dying in these heels right now,” Georgie said.
“Pretty much,” Dillon nodded. “Now come on, let’s go!” He linked arms with Georgie and walked her over to the car. He opened the back door for her and she slid in. “Such a gentleman,” she grinned.
Dillon ran around to the other side and hopped in next to her.
“I've got sunshine On a cloudy day. When it's cold outside, I've got the month of May.
“A dance with the beautiful lady?” he asked, reaching for Georgie’s hand. The restaurant was crowded for their late meal on Saturday night.
“Now how could I say no to something like that?” she giggled. Dillon led her out onto the floor. He twirled her around him and dipped her back. She threw her head back and laughed when he brought her back up.
Well, I guess you'll say What can make me feel this way? My girl. (My girl, my girl) Talkin' 'bout my girl. (My girl)
“I sing this to Mia all the time,” Dillon said as he pulled Georgie close to him.
“I know you do, it’s one of my favorite songs,” she smiled.
“That’s why I sing it to her,” he leaned in and kissed her sweetly.
At last my love has come along My lonely days are over And life is like a song
Dillon held Georgie’s hands, clasped with his, close to his heart as the two swayed to the music. Georgie rested her cheek on his shoulder, closing her eyes halfway. Dillon kissed her cheek, “Georgie you’re happy right?” he whispered.
She opened her eyes and looked at him, confused on the question, “Of course I am. Why would you ask?”
“I just wanted to make sure you don’t regret dating me and leaving Mac. I mean I know come with baggage between my job and Mia. I just wanted to make sure you didn’t feel like you regret anything,” he looked at her seriously.
Georgie wrapped her arms around him tightly, “I don’t feel that way at all. I love you so much and Mia and I could not be happier with the two of you. Don’t ever think that I’m not happy. I love being your neighbor,” she kissed to show him how much she meant what she said.
At last the skies above are blue And my heart was wrapped up in clover The night I looked at you I found a dream that I can speak to A dream that I could call my own I found a thrill to press my cheek to A thrill that I have never known You smiled, and then the spell was cast And here we are in heaven And you are mine at last
“We should go sit down, I think our dessert is here,” Dillon said. Georgie nodded and the two walked over to the table, their fingers weaved together.
They sat down and dove into their chocolate dessert. “So, gorgeous,” Dillon smirked at her, “What did you think of the show?”
Georgie laughed, “I loved the show. It was so funny and quirky. It was amazing,” she took another bite of the dessert she and Dillon were sharing, “And stop calling me ‘gorgeous’, ‘beautiful’ etc. I’m not at all pre—,” she was cut off by Dillon’s lips.
“You look breathtaking and never ever think otherwise. And I’m going to say it all night whether you like it or not. So there,” he stuck his tongue out at her.
“You are so childish!” she laughed.
“We’re home!” Dillon called into the empty hotel room.
“Well it is until tomorrow afternoon,” Georgie giggled kicking off her high heels. She noticed the pink roses were in a glass vase on the coffee table.
“Don’t remind me,” Dillon commented placing his jacket on the back of the chair.
“Then let’s make the best of it,” Georgie whispered, her lips inches from Dillon’s. Leaning in, she brushed her lips softly over Dillon’s. She wrapped her arms around his neck and electricity ran through both of them. Dillon leaned in more capturing her lips. He coaxed her mouth open with his tongue.
She parted her lips slightly; she granted him entrance, the warm inside of her mouth welcoming as their tongues stroked against one another.
Pulling back, Dillon looked into her eyes and brushed his lips over hers once more. She was gorgeous. Silently, he reminded himself to breathe.
Dillon ran his hands down the smooth silky fabric of Georgie’s dress. Georgie tangled her hands in Dillon’s hair as she pressed herself closer, deepening the kiss. She tasted like chocolate mousse from their dessert. “God I love kissing you,” he mumbled against her lips. He put a hand on her face and leaned in, pausing slightly before lowering his lips back down to hers.
He breathed heavily, “Oh god, I want you,” he gasped out.
“I want you too, so much,” she whispered. Her words took his breath away. It was the way she said it, or the moment they were in, but Dillon was breathless.
She looked into his dark eyes. They were swirling with different emotions.
He wrapped his arm around her back and reached to pull down her zipper. “I love you,” he whispered in her ear. As his hand ran down her back, he grazed over her spine and her back slightly arched at the touch.
She tugged at the navy blue tie from around his neck, letting it fall to the floor. Dillon kissed Georgie’s mouth passionately, their tongues swirling together as he pushed the straps of the dress off her shoulders as it fell in bunch at her feet. She began to unbutton his shirt pushing the sleeves off of his arms, letting the shirt join her dress on the floor.
Dillon pulled away at Georgie and stared at her. Her low v-cut slip hung over the curves of her body.
“You’re so beautiful,” he breathed, his pulse was racing. She blushed at the commented glancing away, a smile dancing across her face. He loved it when she blushed.
She began to kiss him, starting at his mouth and down his jaw in a trail of kisses until her lips hit their destination point, the spot where his pulse was. She sucked at his neck.
“Oh god, I need your mouth,” he groaned. He couldn’t stand it any longer. He grabbed her face and placed her lips back on his. She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him close to her. There wasn’t an inch of space between their bodies. Their mouths dueled wildly in passion. Dillon placed both arms underneath Georgie’s legs and picked her up, the feeling of the cool silk against his torso. “I love you so much, do you know that?” his eyes locked with hers.
“I love you,” she whispered. He placed her down on the bed, resting her head on the pillows. A slow smile grew across Georgie’s face. “Can I?” he asked her, his fingers touching the straps of her slip. She nodded, leaning forward to give him a soft kiss. He slowly pulled the straps off her shoulders, down her arms and slid the material off her legs onto the floor.
Dillon leaned over and grazed her lips with his own; his fingers stroked her bare shoulders. He looked up at her and saw that she was the tiniest bit scared.
“Are you ok?” he asked, concerned. Georgie smiled at him and nodded. She ran her hand down his bare chest. Chills ran throughout Dillon’s body. “I love you,” Georgie sighed as Dillon trailed kisses up her body to her lips.
As their hands roamed up and down the other’s back, they slowly discarded the rest of their clothing. They lay together their hands roaming, slowly, allowing for hesitation and shyness to leave. Dillon shifted so that Georgie was below him. He held her in his arms, savoring in the moment. Her skin was soft against his hands.
Georgie sighed at the feeling of skin on skin. Dillon looked at her straight in the eyes, “Georgie, look at me, are you absolutely sure you are ready?” he asked, “I don’t want you to feel like I’m pressuring you,”
Georgie nodded, “You’re not, don’t worry. I want you completely,” she whispered. He brushed his lips across hers and up the center of her face before coming to rest on her forehead in a gesture of reassuring intimacy. He kissed her lips again passionately. Georgie wrapped her arms around Dillon’s neck and buried her head in his shoulder as he slowly made love to her.
