Chapter 20
Georgie woke up with a sinking feeling in her stomach, and it wasn't just because of her usual morning nausea from being pregnant. And she immediately looked over behind her, wanting to see Dillon there in bed with her. And that's what she saw. The image of his sleeping body made her heart ache. He was curled up on his side, facing her, and his hand was lying in the middle of the bed, behind her, as if he were reaching for her but stopped himself at the last minute. And then Dillon moaned in his sleep. And it brought her back to one of the many times he had done when they were together. She knew that if she hadn't gone off on him that their morning would have ended up completely differently than it had. They would have wakened in each others arms, exhausted from making love the entire night. She didn't even understand why she went off on him, she just felt so...moody. She knew that it was her hormones. And then Dillon's eyes slowly opened and adjusted to the light. When he saw Georgie looking over her shoulder, she turned back around and looked toward the door. Why did she have to keep going off on him for the littlest things? He didn't do anything wrong. A few months ago, she too would have laughed at Dillon nibbling on her lip, not going completely postal. But by the time he felt it was safe to come to bed last night, he spent a few more hours watching her sleep on her own side of the bed. It was the first time in quite a long time that she hadn't made her way over to his side of the bed at one point through the night. And then she turns away? Obviously she was still upset with him. Georgie suddenly felt sick and knew that her usual morning nausea was coming on. Immediately, she threw back the covers and ran to the bathroom. Dillon followed her and while Georgie was leaning over the toilet bowl, Dillon was at the sink, wetting a cloth for her. And when she was through, she lay back against the bathtub, against Dillon's chest as he wrapped the cloth around her neck. The coldness felt wonderful as she was trying to calm her shaking body. After several moments, she stood. "I'm okay" She turned toward him and she wanted so badly to take him in his arms and tell him that she was sorry. She was embarrassed that she'd ever acted the way she did. Instead, she walked out of the bathroom and left Dillon standing there, trying to sort it all out.
Georgie walked into the living room, plopping herself down onto the couch, resting her head in her hands. Dillon just stood back watching her. He felt so helpless, he didn't know what to do. "Georgie," he said quietly, making his way over to the couch. "are you okay?" He asked, placing his hand on her shoulder. "I'm fine," she lied, shaking her head. "just go get ready for work." She told him, her tone a bit harsher then she meant for it to be. Dillon sighed, not wanting to say anything in fear that it would start another fight. He just walked away, leaving Georgie to sit alone on the couch.
Dillon was in the kitchen making some tea when he saw Georgie run across the living room and into the hallway. He quickly forgot about what he was doing and ran into the bathroom to find her hunched over the toilet bowl for the second time that morning. "Oh honey," he immediately said without even realizing it. He grabbed the washcloth from the sink and ran cold water over it, placing it on the back of her neck and rubbing her back. "It's going to be alright. Everything is going to be okay." He assured her, his voice calm and soothing. Georgie rested her head onto his chest, her breathing out of sorts, as he patted her face with the damp washcloth. "Are you okay?" Dillon finally spoke up after a few minutes. Georgie gently shook her head as she looked up at him. "Why aren't you dressed for work yet?" She asked, a bit confused. "I'm staying home for the day," he told her, pushing some hair behind her ears. "Dillon, I'm okay," she told him, feeling a bit nauseous again as she rested her head back against his chest, but the feeling wouldn't go away. She quickly covered her mouth with her hands and threw herself back over the toilet bowl. Dillon held her hair back, rubbing her back as she got sick again. Once she was finished she looked back at him, an apologetic look on her face. "It's okay, honey." He said, helping her stand up. She was silent for the next few minutes, but when he led her to the couch and sat down at the end, pulling his legs on top of hers, she asked him her question. "Dillon, why are you being so sweet to me? I was a total psycho last night." "Georgie" he tried to explain as he rubbed her aching legs. He already knew they were in pain. "It's hard at times, I admit", he went on. "But I know that it must be difficult for you at times. I mean, you can't help but resent me in some way" Georgie immediately sat up and although she regretted it, for she felt dizzy once again, she still sat and grabbed his arm. That was the last thing in the world she wanted him to think. "Oh, Dillon. In no way would I ever, ever resent you. Never. I have never resented you. I don't blame or resent either of us. And although this baby isn't something we planned, it's turned out to be the best thing in my life, besides you. You and this baby are the single most important people in my life now. And yes, last night I was a drag. I really had no right to go off on you. And I am sorry for that. You were right. It is hard for me to deal with this sometimes because my hormones are so out of whack, but that does not mean that I don't love you or that I resent you in any way. I promise, I am like that sometimes but not for the reasons you think." Dillon blushed at her speech and shook his head. "You're amazing, you know that right?" "I try", she teased. They laughed for a moment but then Georgie became serious again. "But really, Dillon. I never, ever want you to feel that again." And as she looked into Dillon's eyes at that moment, again she was suddenly hit with the feeling of want again. She wanted and needed him and there was no way that even he could stop her from getting what she wanted. She straddled him on the sofa and began kissing him, hard. Dillon's arms went about her waist, holding her for a moment but then he stopped. "Georgie, we can't." "Yes, we can. Don't talk crazy", she joked. And then she began kissing his neck. "Georgie, if you do that...If you do that, I won't be able to take care of you. Now stop. Please." "No", she told him as she began to unbutton his shirt. "Georgie" "Shh", she told him. And she continued kissing his chest, all over, and then she kissed his neck, reaching out roughly to pull off his flannel as she kissed down his arms. When she kissed down the inside of his arms and then sucked on his thumb for a second, Dillon thought that he would take her right then and there. She unbuttoned his jeans and then pulled him down on top of her on the couch. "Georgie, you're driving me crazy", he told her, as he hovered over her. "Then baby", she softly whispered in a way that drove him crazy. "I have accomplished my mission."

Chapter 21
Georgie tilted her head back against the armrest of the couch and she granted him all access to all to her as her tongue plunged into his mouth. Dillon's hands actually began to shake as he went to undo the two tiny buttons at the top of her pajama shirt. And then he proceeded to pull off her shirt. Georgie's head inclined as she reached up and began to kiss his chest, from his torso and back up to his neck. "Georgie, you can't do this" She didn't listen, she kept kissing him as she pleased. "Georgie, please...Mmm. Georgie, I have to take you to the...come here." She obeyed and brought her lips back to his and he kissed her even more deeply than before. Pulling her body more against his, he clung even tighter to her and her arms encircled around his bare back. Georgie began to tug on his jeans. "Get them off", she ordered. "Whoa, whoa", Dillon stopped her, taking her hands and kissing her knuckles. "Wouldn't you be more comfortable in the bedroom?" he whispered. "No, This, this is good."
Coming to rest against her chest, Dillon tried to calm down his breathing to a semi-normal rate. "Are you okay, baby?" he asked her. She just smiled up at him and pulled him down beside her. "Yes, Dillon. I'm okay, just perfect", she told him. Dillon slid off of her and lay against the back of the couch at her side. He sat up just enough to grab the afghan off the back of the couch and lay it across them. "I love you so much, baby", she whispered to his bare chest, and then she kissed him there. Dillon held her tightly against his own body and let her fall into sleep in his arms. He was so grateful that she was back in his arms where he could hold her as he wished. She was where she belonged.
A few hours later, Dillon woke with a smile on his face as he watched Georgie sleeping, all cuddled up against his chest. His fingertips lightly traced her lips, he couldn't resist the temptation. But she crinkled up her nose and scrunched her eyebrows together, making Dillon want her all over again. So he forced himself to carefully maneuver himself from the couch so that he wouldn't wake her up and pounce at her again, hungry for what she did to him a few hours ago. He picked up his clothes from where they had been tossed so recklessly earlier. And then as he stood and covered her back up again, he took another look at her sleeping figure. She cuddled the pillow where he had laid a few minutes before. He smiled, shaking his head, and then he went to the kitchen.
Georgie woke alone on the couch, but when she opened her eyes, she was already smiling. "Dillon?â" she mumbled. She wiped the sleep from her eyes and immediately wanted him back by her side, touching him again as he allowed her to before. "I'm here", he told her, carrying in a tray and setting it on the table. He sat down on the edge of the couch and she touched his face. He kissed her fingers and squeezed them. "How are you, baby?" he asked, brushing a few strands of hair from her eyes. "I'm good", she blushed. "What have you brought me?" she asked. "Some saltine crackers and gingerale." "Oh, you didn't have to do that. I know we didn't have any of that, so you must have run out." "It was one trip to the store, no big deal. Here", he gave her some crackers and poured her some of the gingerale. "Here, babe" he handed her the glass and she sat up a bit to drink the cool, soothing liquid. She handed the glass to him and he sat it back down on the tray, and then she held out her hand. He smiled at her. "What is it, love?" "Come here", she whispered. So he did as she instructed and lay down beside her, his palm rested on her belly. "I just want to feel you close to me again", she told him. He nodded his head in agreement and then when he took another long look at her, he realized exactly what she was talking about. "Huh? Again?" he asked. "No shit, Sherlock", she teased, smiling and kissing his lips. Her cool mouth warmed his lips for a moment until she pulled away and whispered her command. "Take me to bed." Dillon stood and gladly obeyed, lifting her and the blanket that covered her body and carrying her into their bedroom.

Chapter 22
Georgie quietly maneuvered herself from Dillon's embrace and sat up in bed, holding the sheet about her body. She watched him, sleeping peacefully. She kissed her fingertips and then touched his shoulder. And then she began to get out of bed when his arms captured her waist. "And where do you think you're going?" he whispered into her ear, gently taking a nibble. Georgie blushed. "We have to get dressed. They'll be here soon." He ignored her, kissing her bare neck. "Dillon, you can't do that. You know that drives me crazy." "Why do you think I'm doing it, then?" "Ugh, you are hopeless." She stood and went to her dresser. Dillon took an extra long look at her as she went through the drawers. Dillon grabbed some clothes and went to her as she tried to get decent for company. "Don't you even think if, buddy", she told him. But Dillon didn't listen. He wrapped his arms around her waist and began attacking her lips. Georgie moaned at the feel of his tongue in her mouth. "Dillon," she moaned, pressing her body closer to his. Dillon's hands began to travel up Georgie's bare back, causing her to get chills. "God, Dillon," she moaned, pushing him away. "we cannot do this right now." She said, trying to catch her breath. "Why not, baby?" He asked her, running his fingers up and down her back teasingly. "God!" She moaned, throwing her head back. "Please...we have to get dressed, honey." She managed to get out. Dillon smiled at the sight of her infront of him, he leaned closer to her and began sucking on her neck. "They won't be here for at least another hour," he assured her, as he continued to suck on her soft skin. "Oh my.." Georgie moaned, giving in and wrapping her arms around his neck, pushing his head closer to her neck. "God, Dillon, that...that feels so...so good." Her knees buckled, but she held onto him tighter. "Please...please don't stop.." She managed to say as he continued to suck harder on her neck, now leaving red marks. "I wouldn't dream of stopping, baby", Dillon told her. And then he turned her body into him, holding her closer against him. Georgie clung to his bare shoulders as she prepared again, to abandon all sense of self-control for the third time that morning. And then the doorbell rang. "Crap!" she pulled away. "We're, we're not dressed!" Dillon laughed. "Baby, we're fine. Really. We haven't done anything wrong", he told her, pulling his shirt on over his head. "But, my sister is out there and her boyfriend! And I am finding it", she said, tugging on her clothes. "Very difficult to get dressed this morning." She fought to get her arm in the sleeve. Dillon smiled and went to her, helping her with her problem. "Never thought I'd actually be putting your clothes on, but hey, there're a first time for everything", he told her with a grin. She hit him in the arm. "Dillon!" she put on her jeans. "Hurry, go to the door. They're going to know something's up." "'Come on, I'm pretty sure your sister knows that we make love. I mean, how else does she think this little baby was produced?", and walked over and touched her belly. Georgie blushed as Dillon finished getting dressed and then went to the door.
Georgie went to the kitchen, straightening out her clothes, and put on some coffee. She walked over to the refrigerator, pulling out the carton of milk and placing it on a tray along with some spoons and the sugar container. She still couldn't help but feel a bit nervous, or maybe it wasn't her nerves. Maybe it was just her strong want to be with Dillon again that made her all jittery. She shook her head, pushing all thoughts aside. Whatever it was, she needed to calm down. She placed a few coffee mugs onto the tray along with the freshly brewed coffee and made her way into the living room. "Hi everyone," she said, smiling once she came into view of them. "Hi little sister." Maxie said, smiling up at her. Georgie placed the tray down on the table and rested her shaky hands on her expanded belly. "Georgie," Kyle smiled, "you are looking absolutely beautiful." "Hey dude," Dillon said, his eyes focused on Kyle. "Hey," Kyle said, holding up his hands. "I'm just speaking the truth, dude." Georgie laughed, walking over to the couch and sitting down next to Dillon, who wrapped one of his arms around her waist and his hand came to rest on her belly. All of a sudden she felt really tired, so she rested her head on his shoulder. And when she shifted her head against his shoulder, a bit of her neck was exposed. "Damn little sister, if we would have gotten held up a couple minutes, those red marks on your neck would have easily become hickeys." Dillon's jaw dropped and Georgie got closer to him, hiding her embarrassment in his shirt. "Damn. Someone was getting some before we stuck our noses in", Kyle commented. "Okay, now that we have established embarrassment, why don't we talk about something else", Georgie told them. "Yes, please", Dillon agreed. Kyle smirked. "Hey babe", he told Maxi. "Why don't you give me lovin anymore? I mean, a man has needs." "Ohh, shut up!" Maxi threw a pillow at him and he stuck his tongue out at her.
Maxi went with Georgie into the kitchen so that she could help put dinner in. "Come here, sis. Let me check out those love marks." Georgie blushed as her sister ran a finger down one of the now faint marks that Dillon had left on her neck. "Damn, girl. You two were really going at it, huh?" "Girl, you zip it", Georgie laughed. "Okay, dinner is in. It will be about 45 minutes. Sorry it wasn't in earlier, everyone", and then Georgie looked around and hid her head again. "Dillon" she said embarrassed and went to bury her head in his chest.
A little later, the four were laughing and talking about everything. "No, no. It was Maxi's fault. I promise. She told me it was all going to be okay, the little liar!" "Okay, okay. I am sorry. Now, on something worth talking about, have you thought of baby names?" Maxi asked. Dillon looked to Georgie who sat beside him. "Well, for a boy, we thought of Connor or Colton Alexander." "And for a girl, Adrianna or Elizabeth." "Aw!" Maxi couldn't help it. "Those are beautiful. Are you going to find out whether it's a boy or a girl?" "In a couple weeks, yes." "Oh, I can't wait! I want to be an aunt so bad!" "Chill, babe", Kyle calmed her. She shoved at him, laughing and trying to give him evil looks. "Don't ruin my moment!" "Wow, and you think we're all over each other?" Dillon asked.
A little later, Georgie heard the buzzer and her palm went to her stomach as she moved from Dillon's side and stood, heading into the kitchen. Dillon watched as she walked passed him. He already felt his mouth watering, and it wasn't because supper was about ready. He looked over at Kyle and Maxi who were now going through photo albums, and stood following behind her. Georgie was reaching up in the cupboard for glasses when he came up behind her and wrapped his arms about her body. "Dillon, you scared me." And when he turned her to face him, she already knew what he wanted. She embraced him quickly, for his lips were already on hers. He coaxed her mouth open and she eagerly surrendered herself to him. His arms encircled her waist and before she knew it, she was on the counter. And although the bowls that had been sitting on the counter dropped to the floor, casing a loud crash, they didn't care. Her legs wrapped about his waist and his hands were all over her. "Hell yeah!!!" they heard Kyle's voice from the doorway. A very embarrassed Maxi stood beside him, she lifted her arm shyly in a wave. And then she shoved her hands back in her pockets. "You two just can't keep your hands off each other, can you?" Maxi asked with a smile on her face. "Um" Georgie mumbled, burying her head in Dillon's chest as he helped her off of the counter. "Maybe we should leave", Maxi suggested, grabbing onto Kyle's arm. "No, Maxi", Dillon stopped them. "Really, we want you here. We just...got caught up in the moment. Please stay." "Yes, please stay. I would hate to have you leave", Georgie agreed. "Please?" "Okay, if you're sure?" "Totally. Please?" "Okay", Maxi agreed. "But only under one condition", she said, coming towards them and pushing Dillon out of the way. "That I help with dinner. Get out of here, Dillon." "I can't believe you don't trust us for two minutes." "You're right. Because as soon as we turned our backs, you two would have your hands all over each other and I want to keep my food down, thank you." "Ohh, that hurts. That really hurts, Maxi", he told her. "Get out of here, punk", Maxi told him. "But-but", he started. "Out!" "You suck", he stuck his tongue out at her. Later that night, after supper and everyone's stomachs were hurting from all the laughter, Dillon leaned over the couch and lifted up the pullout bed that was beneath. Maxi went over to help him, pulling up on the bed. "Hey, I can handle it", he told her. "Oh don't you even get this 'I'm stronger because I'm a guy'attitude, because you know I'll beat the crap out of you for it." He stuck his tongue out as it pulled up and out at the same time, revealing the bed that had been folded beneath. Dillon turned and grabbed the sheets from behind him on the coffee table and spread it out, Maxi taking the corners and tucking them beneath. "You know, I used to hate you, like seriously", she told him, tucking in the edges. "Uh, thanks Jones. You sure know how to make a guy feel good." "You didn't let me finish, dufus. I mean I used to. I never understood why my sister was so into you but now I totally get it. Most guys would go off and, you know, neglect their responsibilities". "Maxi, come here", he sat down on the edge of the pullout, and motioned for Maxi to take a seat next to him. "I need you to know that yes, I am sticking around and I have the responsibility for this new life. But that's not the only reason. I would still be here if it were only Georgie and I. This baby is a blessing, not something that we planned but turned out to be a wonderful gift, a miracle. And there is no way that I am going anywhere, never." Maxi got a little blurred vision as she listened to his speech with such conviction. "Wow, that was...Thank you for being there for my sister." "You don't have to thank me", his arm wrapped around her shoulder for a minute and then he stood. "Don't get me wrong though", she said, coming to a stand. "I still think you're a punk." "Jones, don't even get me started." "Ahhh!" they heard Georgie from the other room, they both turned in time to see Georgie running from the kitchen and Kyle close behind her, chasing her around. Georgie ran to Dillon, hiding from Kyle. "What the hell are you doing to my baby?" Dillon asked. "He's trying to touch my stomach, but I won't let him." "What, Maxi got to!" "Kyle, are you being a little pervert again?" Maxi asked, laughing hysterically.
A little later, Maxi lay in Kyle's arms on the pullout sofa. "Kyle?" "What, baby?" he answered, his fingers running through her hair. "I want this someday, with you." "What do you want?" "This, what Georgie and Dillon have, love and a baby on the way, Happiness." "Well, I am in love with you, and so you have that. And I am happy when I'm with you, I have that. I'm sure a baby wouldn't be too much trouble" his lips curved into a smiled and then he began to kiss her, but Maxi stopped him for a moment. "Are you crazy?" she laughed. "This is my sister's house!" "Tease", he mumbled, kissing her forehead with a smile. "Perve", she mumbled back. "You know it, baby. You know it."

Chapter 23
"Hey you," Georgie smiled, once she opened her eyes the next morning and saw Dillon looking back at her. "How long have you been awake?" "Not too long." He assured her, gently kissing her lips. "Are you hungry?" "I'm starving," she admitted, stretching her sore legs. "I'll start breakfast." He told her, getting up from his spot on the bed, and helping her to stand up. He placed his hand her belly. "Good morning little one." He said, his voice low. Georgie smiled, looking up at him as he began walking away. "Wait," She told him, grabbing his hand and pulling him closer to her body. "Just a few more minutes alone." Dillon smiled, softly kissing her neck. "I love you." "Mmm," Georgie smiled brightly. "I love you, too." She stood up on her tip toes, kissing his lips long and hard.
Dillon walked into the kitchen as Georgie quietly walked over to the pullout couch, careful not to wake Maxie or Kyle. She gently sat down on the edge next to her sister and whispered in her ear, "Good morning, big sister." Maxie's eyes opened slowly as she looked up at Georgie. "Good morning," she said, rubbing her eyes. "Dillon's making breakfast." Georgie told her as Kyle began to stir away.
Georgie and Maxi walked into the kitchen, laughing hysterically over something that Dillon would never understand, as he flipped a few pancakes over with his spatchula. "Oh, look at Mister Tough Guy. You mean, you actually let him cook breakfast? Don't you worry about getting pieces of egg shell in your pancakes?" "Hey!" Dillon said, coming over with the spatchula, threatening to hit her in the butt with it. "You watch it or I'll put a few surprises in your breakfast." Georgie was practically on the floor, she was laughing so hard. "You guys crack me up." And then she felt a movement , "Whoa, little one", she patted her belly. Dillon moved quickly, placing his palm on her belly. "Do you think that Daddy and Aunt Maxi are funny, too?" She felt one more little movement. "It's unanimous, our baby agrees."
Dillon got out some plates, flipping the pancakes onto them and grabbing the syrup from the cabinet. "Is Kyle still asleep?" he asked. "Of course", Maxi answered. "Don't worry, I'll get him." Georgie got a glass of water and headed into the living room where Kyle was. "Um, what's she doing?" Maxi asked. "Go watch in the doorway, you'll love it", he told her. Raising her shoulders, she stood and went to watch as she saw Georgie lean over the bed, taking one of Kyle's hands, the one that rested on his stomach and shoving it into the glass of water. Maxi watched as Kyle stirred. And then several moments later, he was awake, claiming he had to use the bathroom before he wet the bed. "Georgie Jones, I am going to get you for that little stunt!" he yelled, running into the bathroom. Dillon shook his head at the counter, laughing. "What did you do to him?" Maxi walked up to her sister, giving her a pat on the back for a job well done. "It's amazing what a little warm water can do."
Georgie and Maxi sit on the pullout as Dillon and Kyle carried in two trays of pancakes and some orange juice. Dillon took his seat next to Georgie against the back of the couch and Kyle sit with Maxi, they shared trays. Georgie leaned up against Dillon as she shoved the bites of Dillon's delicious pancakes into her mouth. "These are really good, babe. Thank you", she rose up and kissed his cheek. "You're welcome, love."
Maxi and Kyle pushed in the sofa bed as they packed up the rest of their things. "If you're forgetting anything, we'll just run it by the house. I'm wanting to see mom and Mac anyway", Georgie said, her arms around Dillon's waist from the side as they stood in the living room. "That sounds good, Mom has been missing you like crazy." Georgie smiled, reaching out for a hug from her sister. "I had so much fun. I wish we could do this all the time." "I know, we had a lot of fun too, sis." "Well, you know what?" Dillon said. "I have something that might cheer you two up."
"What did you do?" Georgie asked, with wide eyes and a smile, eagerly anticipating whatever Dillon had planned. "Well, we've read that it's good to go away for a bit while you're pregnant, sort of like a last fling before the baby comes. And so since I've gotten some money saved up I was thinking that maybe we could go away, like to Ned's cabin. And he's already agreed to allow us to bring you two along. Its upstate. It would be a long drive. What do you say, guys?" Dillon asked, biting his lip and hoping for a yes that would make Georgie happy. Georgie held in her excitement, her eyes went wide and she hugged Dillon, her arm went about the small of his back as she bit her lip and turned back to Maxi and Kyle, waiting for their answer. "Are you serious?" Maxie asked, looking at Dillon. "Completely." He said, nodding his head. "Ned and Alexis want to give Georgie the world," he looked down at Georgie who was still smiling brightly. "And I honestly believe that they would if they could." He looked back up at Maxie. "I told them how much this would mean to both you and her, and they agreed without even thinking twice." "Kyle?" Maxie asked, looking at him with puppy dog eyes. "Are you kidding? You don't have to give me that look, hell yeah I want to go!" He exclaimed, kissing Maxie's forehead. "Oh my goodness," Georgie squeezed Dillon closer to her trying to keep herself from jumping up and down from all the excitement. "I cannot believe this, we're going to have so much fun!" "Thank you so much, Dillon." Maxie told him, her tone now serious. "This really does mean a lot to me, I've missed Georgie so much. I've also missed you." Dillon smiled, kissing the top of Georgie's head. "I'm glad you're both happy." "So when are we leaving?" Georgie asked, looking up at him. "How does tomorrow sound?" He asked, raising his eyebrow. "No way! You're serious?" Maxie asked, giggling. "Yeah, I'm serious." He said, laughing. "Awesome, this is going to rock!" Kyle said, giving Dillon a high five.
About 15 minutes later, both Maxie and Kyle left. Georgie shut the door and leaned up against it. "I can't believe you." She told Dillon, giving him a sly smile. Dillon walked toward her, standing in front of her. "I know how much you and Maxie miss each other, and I just want what's best for you." "Oh really?" She asked, as he got closer to her. "Uh huh," he said, his warm breath tickling her lips. "God, I love you so much." She said, right before crashing her lips onto his. Georgie was still overwhelmed with what Dillon had done for her and Maxi. She'd missed her so much and Dillon knew just what she needed. This trip was going to be awesome. Georgie, still leaned against the door, grabbed onto the collar of Dillon's shirt and pulled him closer, deepening their kisses. Dillon was blown away when she pulled back, his eyes still partly closed and wanting more. As he finally opened them, he recognized that small glimmer in her eyes, and knew exactly what she wanted. Taking his hand and stepping around him, she led him to their bedroom and shoved him up against the wall, gently closing the door as her hands went to his belt buckle. Pulling off her shirt and bringing is lips to her luscious neck, he led her to their bed.

Chapter 24
Georgie woke a few hours later in Dillon's arms. She turned to get a look at him in the dimness of the light that came in through the window. Taking her palm and resting it on his cheek, she slowly began kissing his lips. And when she felt him stir, she plunged her tongue into his mouth, feeling him close to her. "Whoa, whoa", Dillon pulled back, taking a deep breath. And then he glanced at the clock that read 3:30 in the morning and alarm came to his eyes. "Are you all right, Georgie? Is something wrong?" "No", she hung her head, her fingertips running along his bare chest as she blushed. "What is it then, baby?" he asked, concerned. "Nothing, I just...want to be with you", she hung her head even lower as a smile danced on Dillon's lips. His two fingers went beneath her chin and slowly raised it so that he could look into her eyes. His smile was still there as he asked his question. "Again?" Words were no longer needed to express how she felt as her lips came crashing onto his, answering his question.
Georgie rolled over and took a look at the clock, 7:30. She cursed to herself as she began to crawl out from under the covers so that she could get packed. But she was stopped when Dillon's hand rested on her expanded tummy. "Where you going, babe?" "We're going to be late, honey. We have to pack." "Oh," he mumbled, hanging his head when she held onto the nightstand and pulled herself up from his side. "You're torturing me", he whined as he watched her fumble with her clothes. He felt his mouth water slightly as she pulled on some clothes. Grabbing 2 empty suitcases and a duffel bag, she set them up along the end of the bed, rushing about to grab everything she thought she'd need. "Damn babe", he commented, sitting up in bed with his arms about his legs. "You planning on packing your whole closet or something?" "You hush", she warned, going through her clothes and folding them, laying them in one of the suitcases. Dillon crawled out of bed, grabbing his boxers, and then he stepped behind her. He began kissing her neck as she was trying to concentrate on what they would need. "Honey, you can't do this," and her eyes about rolled back in her head, for she didn't want him to stop, though she knew he had to. Her arm snaked about to the back of his neck so that she could press his lips harder against her neck. "Okay, Dillon", she backed away. "We have to stop." Dillon pouted, hanging his head. "Fine, I'll pack my stuff."
There was a knock at the door and when Georgie went to answer it, her face lit up as she saw Maxi standing there, wearing a tight little mini skirt and sunglasses. "Hey babe, what's shaking?" Georgie laughed and hugged her sister. "I am so excited about this", Georgie told her. "Yeah so am I. I was up all last night, packing." Dillon appeared with their bags in his hand. "This girl was trying to pack our whole house on this trip. And if you packed half as much, your ass is mine." "Oh come get it", she told him as he walked passed them and out to the car where Kyle stood, his arms folded across his chest and leaning against his truck. "Did Georgie try to pack her whole bathroom too, or was that just Maxi?" "Nope, Georgie too. It's a girl thing I guess. And so is talking forever," he turned around to yell. "Come on you two! Hurry up!" "We're coming!" See ya man", Kyle pulled him in for a shake. "Let's rock and roll!" Maxi yelled. Dillon's arm went around Georgie's shoulders as he led her to the car. "See you there!" she yelled back. Dillon opened up her door and she stepped in. She was so excited.
Georgie waved her hand in front of her face, wiping some sweat from her forehead. "Honey, are you okay?" Dillon asked, trying to keep his eyes on the road. "I'm just a little hot, that's all." She told him, looking out the window. He quickly rolled the windows up, and turned the air conditioning on full force. "Oohh," Georgie sighed once the cool air hit her face. "Thank you so much, baby." She said, putting her hand on his leg. Dillon smiled as he turned the steering wheel, rounding a corner. "You're welcome." Georgie leaned her head back against the seat, listening to the music that was playing on the radio. Her head lolled to the side so that she could look at Dillon. She smiled to herself as she began rubbing his leg. "Uhh, honey." He said, still looking at the road. "Yes?" She asked, her voice full of innocence. He quickly removed one hand from the steering wheel and placed it on hers, rubbing it. She scooted over as far as she possibly could, leaning up to kiss his neck. Dillon quickly pulled the car off to the side of the rode and turned to look at her. "Georgie, we seriously cannot do this right now." "I know," she said, smiling brightly. He took her face in his hands and kissed her lips. "You okay?" "Yeah, I'm fine. I just can't keep my hands off you," she said, blushing. "I'm sorry." Dillon shook his head. "Don't be sorry, we just really need to keep driving. Plus, we have all week." He said, winking at her. Georgie laughed, leaning over to quickly kiss his lips. "I love you." "I love you, too." He told her. "So, are we ready to keep moving?" "Yes, absolutely!" She told him, scooting back to her seat. He leaned over her, buckling her seat-belt, and kissing her forehead. "Okay, let's go!" He said, pulling the car back onto the highway.
"Honey, I...um...I think it's safe to say we're lost." Dillon told Georgie, his eyes still focused on the road. "Crap!" Georgie announced, quickly placing her hands on her belly. "Mommy's sorry, sweetheart." She looked back over at Dillon. "I am so sorry," she looked back down at the map and directions Ned had written down for them. "The cabin is on 7th street, not 10th. I really am sorry." She said, looking back up at him. "Honey, it's okay, don't apologize. The street is right around the corner. At least we're not as lost as I thought we were." He assured her, reaching for her hand. He brought it up to his lips and kissed it. It's the little imperfections it's the sudden change in plans When she misreads the directions and we're lost but holdin' hands Yeah I live for little moments like that Georgie looked up at Dillon, smiling brightly, laughing at the song that was playing on the radio. "I feel like such a dork." She said, shaking her head.. "Don't." He told her, squeezing her hand. "We're here." He said, pulling into the driveway. "Oh my goodness," Georgie said, looking up at the cabin. "It is so beautiful here." "Plus," he said, poking her side. "No neighbors." He said, a smile forming on his face. "Oh hush," she told him as he got out of the car and walked to her side, opening the door for her. He unbuckled her seat-belt and helped her get out of the car. "Thank you," she told him, holding onto her hand. "Are you okay? Do your legs hurt?" He asked, shutting the door and holding her body closer to his. "Yes, I'm fine. And surprisingly my legs aren't bothering me." She told him, burying her head into his chest. "I wonder where Maxie and Kyle are." Just then, they heard a horn honking and Maxie and Kyle pulling into the driveway. They quickly got out of the car and walked over to Dillon and Georgie. "Hey," Dillon said, looking over at Kyle. "What took you two so long? We sort of got lost, and we still made it here before you." "Maxie mauled me, so I had to pull over." Kyle told him as Maxie smacked his shoulder. "No way!" Dillon laughed. "Georgie was the same way." "Oh, would you be quiet!" Georgie yelled, looking up at him. "Women." Kyle and Dillon said at the same time.

Chapter 25
Dillon, carrying the first load of bags and suitcases up the walk, took a look at the scenery. Georgie went ahead of him and opened the door for him. And when she followed him inside, closely behind, she was overwhelmed with the place. "Oh, wow Dillon." He sat down the bags off to the side and his arm slid across the small of Georgie's back as they admired the place. "Holy crap", they turned to see Kyle as he watched in amazement. "This frickin rocks!" he took one more step and all of the luggage that he had been carrying fell to the floor. Maxi came up close behind him. "Kyle, you are such a nerd. If you broke anything, I promise you are going to get it." "Babe, honestly what am I going to break besides your lipstick?" "Hey! There are accessories in there and I would like to bring them home in one piece." Maxi took off her sunglasses and went to stand next to Georgie. As Dillon went over to Kyle, helping him take some of the bags, he mumbled something. "She says 'accessories' as if she's Barbie and comes with the trims." Then Dillon looked over to see a very ticked off Maxi, standing with her hands on her hips and her jaw to the floor. "Quartemaine, you did not..." she turned to her sister. "He did not just refer to me as a Barbie, did he?" Georgie bit her lip to keep from laughing and looked down. "No, I'm sure you took it the wrong way." "That's what I thought" she went to Dillon and took her bags from him. "I've got them, thank you very much." And she turned around, heading to the first door on the right. Seconds later, they heard her scream. "Oh yeah, this place freaking rocks! Kyle, we are so taking this room!" "Come on, babe. If it's full of flowery wallpaper, I am done. I'll take the couch", he commented as he picked up the rest of their things and followed her into the room. Dillon began to pick up the luggage when they heard Kyle yell "Yahoo!!!" And then the door closed behind him. "Wow", Georgie went to him. "Sometimes those two scare me." "Ah yes, I see where you get your weirdness from." Georgie's mouthed dropped open as she lightly hit him in the arm. "Kidding, baby. I'm kidding. Come on, let's go unpack." With one bag across his shoulder and the other about her waist, he led her to yet another beautiful room, which would be theirs. Georgie was so excited that she could hardly think straight. She had no idea what she wanted to do first. The possibilities were endless.
After unpacking their things, Dillon stepped outside of their room and took Georgie's hand, leading her to the couch where she rested her head on his chest. Dillon's fingers ran through her wavy, soft, and silky hair. He listened to her breathing for several moments. And then when it became clear that Kyle and Maxi weren't coming out anytime soon, Dillon asked "They're going to be in there for awhile, huh?" "Yep, I think that's safe to say", she sighed. "Well, would you like to go for a walk with me?" he asked, playing with her fingers. "Oh that sounds wonderful. Let's go." Placing her fists on the edge of the couch, she forced herself up off it with a little help from Dillon. "Thank you, baby." He went to grab her coat and placed it around her before grabbing his and their house keys. "Let's go babe."
Dillon and Georgie walked the trail, holding hands. "This place is so beautiful, Dillon. I love it here." "Well maybe we'll have to come back sometime, baby." "That would be wonderful". She said in wonder. As he was silent for the next few moments, his chin lying on top of her head as they walked, she asked him "What are you thinking about?" "Oh, I'm just thinking about taking you behind one of those bushes over there and ravaging you all night long", he said nonchalantly. "Oh really?" she countered. "Yes, would you allow me to do that?" "Dillon, there are people around!" "So? It's getting late. It's practically dark. Besides, it's a thrill, just the idea of getting caught. Come on please?" "Dillon!" "Please?" he asked, sticking out his bottom lip. She just smiled and turned around, Dillon's hands rested on her waist as she led him behind some bushes. Her back was up against a tree-stump when her arms snaked around his neck and pulled him down, meeting her lips with his. "Oh God, Georgie", Dillon mumbled as his hands began to travel up her back. Her lips found his neck and began gently sucking, Dillon's eyes rolled back in his head as he couldn't help moaning. And then suddenly, Georgie pulled back and grabbing his hand, she began walking back toward the trail. "Whoa, what are you doing baby?" "We came out here for a walk", she told him with a smile. "Oh you just love to tease me" "Well you just make it so fun. You just wait until tonight lover boy, I'll..." she leaned over and whispered in his ear something that caused Dillon to want to snatch her up right there. She pulled away with a smile and then began walking in front of him. "Wait, you'd really do that? Really?" he asked with a smile, trying to catch up.
Twenty minutes later, Dillon was still asking his question as Georgie fumbled through his pockets and found their key. "Really? You'd seriously do that?" And then Georgie's smile became a hysterical laugh as they both stepped inside and saw Kyle and Maxi making out against the wall. Georgie buried her head in Dillon's chest to keep from making too much of a scene. And then slowly Maxi's head turned toward them and she immediately began wiping off her lips and straightening out her clothes. "Hey guys. What's up?" "Wow, Max. I could have so gone the rest of my life without seeing that. I think you've basically scarred me for life." Georgie headed over to the kitchen counter, holding her stomach a bit, for the weight in her front was starting to get the best of her. Dillon noticed this and went to her, his hands resting at her sides, whispering in her ear. "I'll get you something, baby. You go and sit down for a bit.." Maxi's arm went about her shoulder as she led her into the living room. Kyle followed them. And Dillon put some water in a teakettle, setting it on the stove. A few minutes later, Dillon made his way into the living room and sat down next to Georgie on the sofa, handing her the tea. "Oh, thank you. This is going to feel so good."
A few hours later, Dillon and Georgie had moved down onto the floor by the fireplace that Dillon had started. And it was obvious that Kyle and Maxi, who were on the couch and making out, would rather be somewhere else. "Wow", Dillon whispered in her ear. "Is that kind of freaking you out too?" he asked, sitting behind her, his back up against the couch and his arms around Georgie's waist beneath the blanket and holding her against him. "Yes, just a little." And then suddenly Maxi pulled away. "Okay guys", she said taking Kyle's hand and standing. "We're going to bed. Night." "Thankfully", he whispered. Georgie smiled against him, her face nuzzling his. "Mmm." "Goodnight," Dillon told them, as he kissed Georgie's cheek. "Want to go to bed, baby?" He asked, his voice now a bit lower. "Hmm," she sighed, getting a bit more comfortable. "I want to stay right here for the rest of the night." She said, turning her head to look up at him. "Is that okay with you?" "That sounds perfect," he said, kissing her neck. "but are you sure you're going to be comfortable enough?" "Yeah, I'll be fine." She assured him, resting her head against his chest.
After a few minutes, Georgie spoke up. "Hey honey," she said, lifting her head to look up at him. "What is it?" He asked, brushing a few strands of hair out of her face. "Do you think we could..." her words trailed off as a smile formed across her face. "Are you sure?" Dillon asked her. She nodded her head, biting her lip. Dillon lifted her body off of his and laid her on top of the blankets. He began kissing her lips as her eyes drifted shut. "Dillon," she whispered, breaking her lips away from his. "Kiss my neck." Dillon smiled as he pressed his lips against her neck, causing her head to roll to the side. He began sucking on her soft skin. Georgie gripped handfuls of his hair to keep from moaning out loud. She pressed his head closer to her neck. "Oh my god, Dillon." She moaned quietly. He pressed his body closer to hers, needing to feel more of her. "Oh, Dillon." She moaned, pressing her lips against his shoulder as he began to suck harder on her skin. "God, Dillon. Oh my god!" She yelled, a little louder than she had intended. Quickly, she pulled away from him, covering her mouth. "Baby, what's wrong? Did I hurt you?" Dillon asked, still hovering over her body. "No, no, I'm fine, you didn't hurt me." She said, her face flushed. "I just don't want Maxie or Kyle to know what's going on out here." "We're fine, baby", he whispered, kissing her forehead. "I promise." With no words spoken, she pulled him down toward her, covering his lips with her kisses. And when he pulled away, his hands traveling down her sides to lift her shirt, she could see that his lips were already red and raw from the kissing. And his breathing was totally screwed up. She waited as he lifted her shirt over her belly and began kissing her stomach, inching up a bit at a time until he was able to lift her head and help her out of it. Georgie lifted his shirt and pulled it off over her head, her arms immediately pulling him back down for more kisses. But when his lips traveled back to her neck, she began to moan again. She waited as he lifted her shirt over her belly and began kissing her stomach, inching up a bit at a time until he was able to lift her head and help her out of it. "Dillon, you cant...Oh, Dillon!" And then, Dillon lifted his head so that he could look into her eyes. "You have nothing to worry about, baby. They're in bed for the night. They'll never know", he promised as his chin nudged her cheek. And suddenly, she didn't care. She pulled his body closer to hers and reached for his belt buckle, deepening each kiss.

Chapter 26
"Oh Kyle," Maxie whispered, pulling him toward the couch the next morning.
He looked over the couch and saw Dillon and Georgie sleeping peacefully. Dillon had his arms wrapped around Georgie's waist, her back was toward him and their hands rested on her expanded belly.
"Aren't they so cute?" She asked, turning to look at him. "They're so happy."
"Yeah," he said, holding her close to his body. "very cute."
"Hey Kyle?" Maxie whispered, leaning her head against his shoulder.
"Hmm?"
"Have I told you lately how much I want this?" She asked, pulling back to look at him.
He smiled, kissing her forehead. "Yes, you have. And we'll have it someday, I promise."
Maxie smiled, looking back over at her sister who began to stir awake.
"Good morning, baby." Dillon whispered, as she turned around in his arms.
"Good morning," she smiled, kissing his lips.
Once she pulled back, she noticed Kyle and Maxie standing behind the couch watching them.
Maxie waved shyly. "Morning, little sister."
Dillon turned around to face them. "Morning." He said, laughing.
“Hey Max, I’m going to get a shower”, he kissed her forehead and headed toward the bathroom.
Maxi headed to the porch to step outside and get some fresh air. It would be a great day for skiing on the slopes.
“So?” Dillon began, getting more comfortable, holding her body against hers.
“So?” her hands traveled to his chest, lightly stroking it with a couple fingers.
He took her hand from his chest and began kissing her fingertips.
“I love you”, she found herself saying.
“Well, I love you too baby.”
She smiled. “I think we better get up though.”
Dillon groaned. “Okay”, he stood and helped her up, holding her against him. She hugged him tightly before leaning down to grab their blankets.
“No babe. I got it. You’re fine.”
Georgie smiled and then went to their room to grab some clothes, for she was wearing Dillon’s long sleeved shirt from last night. Dillon had been in his boxers so she brought him out some clothes as well.
“Thanks, baby”, he kissed her forehead and now completely dressed, she headed out to the porch with her sister.
“Hey you. How was your night?” Maxi commented with a hint of mischief.
“Oh my…” she buried her head in her hands as her cheeks became the reddest shade. She short of resembled a strawberry at that moment.
"You okay?" Kyle asked Georgie, as she laid back on the couch.
"Yeah," She said, nodding her head. "I just feel bad that Maxie and Dillon had to run out to the store for me."
"It's alright. I'm sure they don't mind." He assured her, rubbing her shoulders. "We just want you to feel better, we want you to have fun."
Georgie looked up at him and smiled. "You know, I remember hating you when you and Maxie started dating." She told him, laughing slightly.
Kyle laughed. "Oh really?"
"Yeah," She said, nodding her head.
"Wanna know a secret?" He asked, as she sat up.
"Sure." She said, leaning her head against the back of the couch and turning slightly so that she was facing him.
"I used to have the biggest crush on you, Jones." He admitted.
A shocked expression crossed over Georgie's face. "Are you serious?"
Kyle shook his head slowly.
"Wow," Georgie said, looking away for a minute before finally looking back at him.
"And the whole time you hated me." He said, laughing.
"Kyle.." Georgie began to say, guilt rushing over her.
"Georgie, please don't feel sorry or guilty. I mean, I was a total jerk." He told her. "And eventually, I realized that I would never have a chance with you," He smiled before finishing what he had to say. "So I got over it."
Georgie forced a smile to form across her lips.
"I'm really glad I did, too." He nodded his head. "Because look at you now. You're with Dillon, the love of your life and you're pregnant with his child. I couldn't be happier for you."
This time, the smile that came across Georgie's face was real. "Thank you, Kyle. If it makes you feel any better, you turned out to be a really great guy, and I'm happy for you and my sister."
"Thank you," Kyle laughed.
"Come here, Radcliff," She said, pulling him into a tight hug.
"We're back!" Maxie yelled as they entered the living room. "Aww, are we interrupting something?" She asked, Dillon coming up behind her as Georgie and Kyle broke apart from their hug.
"Nope," Georgie said, standing up with the help of Kyle. "Nothing at all."
"How are you feeling, baby?" Dillon asked, setting the bag down on the counter and walking toward her.
"A little better." She said, smiling.
"That's great!" Maxie announced. "Because I thought of the greatest idea on the drive back from the store!"
"Oh no," Dillon said, shaking his head.
"Truth or Dare!" She shouted as everyone just looked at her and started laughing.
The four of them sat around the fireplace, in a big circle.
“Okay, who wants to begin?” Maxi asked, getting way too excited about the whole thing.
Georgie rested up against Dillon and his arm was around her. “Well, Max since you’re the only one who actually wants to do this, I think you should be up first. Kyle, he snapped his fingers. “You’re up bud. Give it to her, my man.”
Kyle’s eyes got a glow of mischief in them. “Truth or Dare, babe?”
“Um, dare.”
His eyes lit up a bit more. “Really? Anything I want huh? How about…like in “Striptease.” Yeah, you can…”
Dillon through a pillow at him, making the sound of a buzzer with his lips. “Wrong. Georgie, you’re up, babe”, he said looking down at her. Kyle had a hurt look on his face, as he tried to pout.
“Um…I dare you to lick chocolate off Kyle’s toes.”
“What? You’re joking right?” Maxi countered.
“You hear the lady”, Dillon said.
“Yes, and there is plenty of chocolate for s’mores later.”
“Yeah but I mean, what kind of a big deal is that? I’ve licked stuff off him before. How about we go one more step and swap couples?”
Dillon’s jaw dropped.
“Yeah, bud. You’re up too. So my dare is to lick chocolate off Dillon’s toes then?” she stood and went to the kitchen, grabbing some chocolate bars and pulling them apart and putting them in a bowl. And then she put the bowl in the microwave and waited for the chocolate to melt.
“Okay, guys”, she sat the bowl on the floor as she went over to Dillon, who’s eyes were wide as Maxi put a towel beneath his foot and slid off his sock.
“Wow, babe. Are you seriously going to lick Quartemaine’s feet? Because that’s just sick.”
“You hush!” she told him, sticking out her tongue.
Georgie watched mortified as Maxi drizzled a bit of chocolate on a couple of Dillon’s toes and watched it run about halfway down his foot. And then Maxi leaned down and took one of Dillon’s toes into her mouth.
Georgie thought she’d be sick as Maxi began with the other one. And soon, Dillon’s foot had hardly any chocolate on it at all.
“Okay, who’s up?” Maxi asked. She looked around. “Georgie, I dare you to do the same thing to Kyle.”
Georgie’s jaw dropped. “Hun, I’m pregnant. I’ll surely throw up if I have to lick someone’s toes. No way.”
“Come on, babe”, Dillon coaxed and then he whispered in her ear. “I might get turned on watching you suck someone’s toes. It will make me think what it will be like when you do it to me when we’re alone”, he teased.
“Dillon!” she elbowed him gently. She looked around at all the eager faces. “Grr! Fine, I’ll do it”, she moved to the middle of the floor, taking the cloth and bowl of chocolate with her.
Kyle started to laugh when she began to drizzle the chocolate on. Taking one more breath, and swallowing she leaned down with a slightly disgusted look on her face as she took one toe in and then pulled back. Taking one more breath, she took in another and Kyle began laughing, for it tickled a bit.
And then, with her still disgusted look she straightened up and went back to Dillon. “Eck. I cannot believe I just did that.”
“Was it as good for you as it was for me?” Kyle asked.
“You just….you be quiet!” and then she started laughing, shaking her head.
“All right, it’s my turn” Georgie announced, looking around the room. “Dillon, you’re up, babe. Truth or Dare?”
“Dare.”
“I dare you to blow a raspberry on the back of my neck.”
Dillon’s eyes went a bit wide as he sat up on his knees and happily began.
“What kind of dare is that? She only did that so she could get off.”
“Hey what the little lady wants, the little lady gets”, Dillon murmured as he began to blow. Georgie laughed and he did the same thing over again.
“Okay, enough”, Maxi said. “I’m about to hurl”, she teased.
“All right, um Kyle. You’re up, man. Truth or Dare?” Dillon announced.
“Dare.”
“Okay, I dare you to sip 10 shots of Sprite.”
“What?” Kyle murmured. “10? Dude, do you want me to throw up all over this carpet?”
“Take it or leave it, chicken.”
Kyle sighed and stood. “You’re going down, buddy.”
Dillon sat back on his hands with a confident smile dancing on his lips while Kyle headed for the kitchen, grabbing a shot glass from the cabinet and the bottle of sprite from the refrigerator. Carrying them over to the floor, he shook his head for he could not believe what he was about to do.
“Man, I am going to be so sick after this.”
“Just think, babe. I’ll nurse you back to health”, Maxi said with a smile, and a hint of mischief.
Kyle took a breath as he poured the first shot.
“Hey, up to the line, buddy”, Dillon countered.
“Oh, you know what?” Kyle threw a pillow in Dillon’s face as he began laughing.
Kyle closed his eyes and lifted the glass to his lips, pouring it into his mouth and swallowing.
“Whew”, he shook his head.
“Man, if you had that much trouble with one shot, you’ll never make 10.”
“Shut up, or when I do heave, I’ll make sure it’s pointed in your direction.”
When Kyle was up to his 7th one, everyone started cheering, for he felt nauseous.
“Kyle! Kyle! Kyle!”
He brought the next one to his lips and gulped, only two more to go.
He took a deep breath as he took the other one in and immediately he poured the next one, hoping it wouldn’t all come up.
“One more. You can do it, babe!” Maxi cheered.
He paused for one more second as the 10th shot was at his lips. He slowly tipped it back and then gulped it.
“Yeah!” he took in a breath with his arms in the air.
“My hero!” Maxi said dramatically, planting a kiss on his cheek.
“All right, Maxi. Back to you”, Kyle began. “I want a lap dance.”
“What?” she asked embarrassed. “Here?”
“Oh yeah, sister. Show us what you got”, Georgie lifted her arm and turned on the stereo to a familiar tune.
“Ahh, you all suck. Dillon gives a raspberry and I give a lap dance? This is messed up. Ugh…”
Maxi stood and motioned for Kyle to do the same. "Sit in the chair," she told him.
"Oohh," Kyle whistled as he stood up and took a seat in the chair. "A little demanding, are we? I love that!" He teased.
Georgie leaned back against Dillon's chest and laughed.
Maxie rolled her eyes as she began her slight movements. She straddled Kyle's lap as the chorus to the song began playing.
Pour some sugar on me, ooh, in the name of love
Pour some sugar on me, c'mon fire me up
Pour your sugar on me, oh, I can't get enough
I'm hot, sticky sweet from my head to my feet yeah
Kyle just watched in amazement as Maxie dipped down, tempting to touch him, but pulling back at the last second. He reached out trying to touch her, but she spun away again, teasing him.
"God, Maxie, you're driving me crazy." Kyle mumbled as she ran her hand down his chest. He reached out again, this time grabbing hold of her waist and pulling her down onto his lap.
"Ahem," Georgie cleared her throat, turning her head to look back at Dillon who was laughing.
"Okay," Dillon spoke up. "This dare is over now!"
Maxie turned around and started laughing. She slipped off of Kyle's lap and sat back down in the circle, Kyle right next to her.
"Alright," Maxie announced, pulling her hair up into a ponytail. "I have a dare for all of us."
Kyle raised his eyebrow and Maxie smacked his shoulder. "Shut up, perv! Not that kind of dare," She rolled her eyes. "Let's have a contest to see which couple can kiss the longest."
“Oh yeah! I’m loving this”, Dillon said, pulling Georgie into him. “I never knew that I could get so turned on by playing Truth or Dare”, he whispered.
“Hey, don’t be thinking naughty things like that”, she teased, laughing.
“You wanna give me a lap dance like that?” he nibbled on her neck.
“Like this?” she raised her eyebrows. “A pregnant woman giving a lap dance, right.”
“Well I think it sounds sexy”, he said, raising his eyebrows.
She lightly hit his shoulder.
“Okay, lets go. On the count of 3. 1…2….3.”
Both couples began kissing. Dillon pulled her close, pressing her up against him as he gently coaxed her mouth open and touched his tongue with hers.
Maxie felt like it had been forever, so finally she pulled back to see if her sister and Dillon were still going at it.
“What’s wrong baby?” Kyle asked, a bit out of breath.
“Nothing, I just thought we had them. But I was so wrong”, they both watched as Dillon and Georgie kissed. Maxi’s jaw about hit the floor, for it had been 11 minutes since the contest had started.
“Okay guys, give it up. You won, fair and square.”
But Dillon only tilted her head back a little further and deepened the kiss.
“Hey hey!” Maxi was about to rush over and yank their lips apart when Georgie pulled back, out of breath.
“Hey, how long were you watching?” Georgie asked a little nervous.
“Oh, you just hush. You won, guys. Ya’ll suck”, she stuck her tongue out at them and laughed.

Chapter 27
Dillon slowly awakened and looked down at Georgie, sleeping peacefully at his side and in his arms. He hadn’t seen Georgie smile and be so stress-free in months. And he wanted, and needed, to make every single moment special for her.
She slowly started to stir and he watched her, a smile forming on his lips. Her eyes fluttered and then she looked up at him.
“Hey you”, she whispered.
“Hey.”
She began to sit up when the look on her face to him that she was in pain as she moved.
“Ahh”, she said outward.
“What’s wrong? Are you okay, baby?” he asked alarmed.
“Yes, I’m fine. My muscles just really ache that’s all. I’m fine.”
She began to stand but Dillon went around to her side of the bed, instructing her to sit.
“I’m fine now baby. I just needed to move.”
“If you’re sure…”
She nodded but he still watched her every step as she walked out and met Kyle and Maxi who were just on their way out the door.
“Hey sleepyheads”, Maxi called. “We’re going skiing. We’ll be back soon!”
“Bye, guys!”
Dillon stepped into the other room as he picked up the phone and made his call.
“Hey, I’d like to make an appointment. Yes, under Dillon Quartemaine for Georgie Jones. Yes, but I’d like a few favors, if you don’t mind. Really? Great. Here’s what I want.”
“Hey babe”, he whispered, coming up behind her in the kitchen as she poured herself some orange juice.
“Ugh, I have a stiff neck”, she rolled her head down and began to rub it herself.
“Well, get dressed babe.”
“Huh?”
“Get dressed. I’m taking you somewhere.”
“Where?”
“You just never mind. Now please, lets get dressed and you’ll find out”, he nibbled a bit on her neck, leading her back to their bedroom to get their clothes.
Dillon led her into a building, she had no idea where she was but she took a seat. It reminded her of a doctor’s office but not really. After speaking with the woman behind the desk, Dillon sat down next to her.
“How you feeling baby?” he asked.
“I’m okay but just what do you have planned?”
“Just never mind that.”
A couple minutes passed when a doctor stepped inside and asked for a Georgie Jones.
She looked to Dillon and he told her to go. She smiled, and squeezed his hand, following the woman close behind.
“Okay, sit in this chair. I understand that you’re pregnant?”
“Yes.”
“Okay, the masseuse. I want you to sit here facing the back of that chair and resting your chin and neck on top of it.”
Georgie was overwhelmed as she realized that Dillon had set this up for her.
“Okay, thank you.”
The woman left the room and Georgie did as she instructed.
She waited only a few moments until she heard footsteps enter the room and begin walking toward her. It immediately brought a smile to her face as she thought about how good it would feel. Her palm went to her belly.
“This is so cool. Forgive me if I freak out. I’ve never done this before”, she laughed to herself. But she didn’t get anything in return. The man began touching her bare shoulders, she could tell that the touch was from a man as he began making tiny circles around her lower back.
As Dillon stood there, giving her the massage she so desperately needed, his eyes couldn’t help but travel down her naked back, he gulped. He wanted so badly to attack that neck, but he kept his cool.
“You know, my boyfriend is the greatest. I had no idea he was doing this.”
She knew by now that because the man wasn’t speaking and because of the way he touched her, this wasn’t just another man.
“So maybe we should go out sometime”, she suggested, smiling to herself.
“What?!?” Dillon’s voice freaked.
“Gotcha”, she said, turning about to face him.
Dillon smiled, “I can’t believe you did that, babe.”
She smiled, taking his hand. “I could tell it was you.”
He leaned down and kissed her soft, luscious lips.
“Okay”, she slowly pulled away. “Will you finish me? Please?” she asked with a grin.
“Of course. Turn around, baby”, he kissed the tip of her nose as she turned her back toward him once more.
Dillon was on the freeway, heading back when suddenly Georgie begins a little speech.
“Dillon”, her voice sounded upset.
“What’s wrong honey?”
“Nothing, I just. I need you to know that what you did today, setting up that appointment for me, that was just amazing. I have no idea how to go about thanking you for all you’ve done. You’re so wonderful to me and I only hope that one day you’ll know how much I love and appreciate you…”
Dillon looked down and noticed that now there were tears flowing freely down her face. He immediately signaled pulled off the ramp, finding a place on the side of a vacant road to comfort her. Turning off the engine, he turned toward her and took her in his arms.
“It’s all right baby. And hell, you thank me everyday. You’re carrying my child. You’re making me a daddy. I should thank you.”
He kissed her forehead.
“See?” she said looking up and wiping away the tears. “You’re so wonderful. And…it seems like when we’re together, I’m always left having this need to be with you.” She was looking up at him with want in her eyes. “I want to be with you, Dillon”, her forehead touched his and Dillon was blown away.
Inching closer to her, he brought his lips to hers. He wanted and needed her too, he pulled her closer to his body.
“So um”, he forced his lips away, kissing her chin and neck. “You wanna, get in the back?” he asked with the slightest touch of a smile.
She blushed, and without a word, she opened her door and stepped out of the car, hopping in the back seat.
Dillon, with a smile, leapt over the front seat and landed next to her with a thud, causing Georgie to crack up.
“Come here, baby”, she brought him toward her, laying back on the cool leather seats.
Dillon sat up, grabbing his shirt from the floorboard and lay it across Georgie’s body. Her fingers tucked some of Dillon’s hair behind his ear as she stared up at him.
“I can’t believe we just did that”, she said with a blush.
“You can’t believe that we made love? I’m sorry babe, but how do you think this little one got to exist?” he asked, his hand resting on her expanded belly that was covered by his flannel.
Georgie laughed, hitting him in the arm.
“I mean that we made love in the backseat of your car, dufus.”
“Ahh, that hurts”, he said dramatically and touched his arm where she’d hit him.
Georgie pulled his wrist down and looked at his watch.
“Whups. We need to get headed back to the cabin.”
“Right”, Dillon shifted his weight and grabbed his clothing. When he saw Georgie sit up slowly and grab her clothing as well, Dillon found himself gulping. He cleared his throat really quick and climbed in the front seat before he ravaged her right there in his backseat…again.

Chapter 28
Georgie walked into the kitchen and poured herself a glass of milk. "Hey Dillon?" She called out into the living room where he was sitting in front of the fireplace.
"What is it, babe?" He asked a few seconds later, entering the kitchen.
"Wanna take a bubble bath with me?" She asked, a sly smile forming across her face.
"The massage didn't work?" He asked, coming up behind her and rubbing her shoulders.
Georgie shook her head. "Oh no, it did wonders, but I'm just in the mood to take a nice warm bubble bath."
Dillon circled around her until he was facing her. "Sounds great to me." He smiled, kissing her forehead.
Georgie walked into the bathroom in her robe. The water was running and Dillon was lighting the rest of the candles that he lined the bathtub with.
“Hey honey”, he blew out the match and pulled off his shirt.
Georgie was so blown away with what he’d done that she went to him, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck and pulling him in for one of the sweetest kisses. But Dillon got a little too into it as his fingers fumbled with her tie and pushed his hands into her robe, wrapping his arms around her body and pulling her closer to him. But Georgie pulled away.
“I Um…I think the point here was to take a bath”, she breathed, blushing.
“Yeah, yeah. You’re right”, Dillon forced himself to tear his eyes away from her as she discarded her robe.
Her smoky eyes were focused on his as she slipped by him and lowered herself into the bathtub.
Breathe Dillon. Just breathe, he told himself as he discarded the rest of his clothing.
Dillon slipped into the bathtub, sitting down behind her, his head rested on the wall behind him. He stared at her bare back. It took everything he had in him not to pull her close and kiss her, but she was right, they were supposed to be taking a nice relaxing bath. He breathed in deep, taking the wash cloth and soap and began washing her back.
"Mmm," Georgie sighed, shooting closer to him. "That feels so good, baby."
Dillon smiled to himself as he made his way up to her shoulders and then her neck.
She rolled her head to the side, giving him more access.
He put the wash cloth into the water, rinsing the soap out of it and then washing the soap off of her back, shoulders and then neck.
Once he was finished, Georgie turned her head slightly to look at him. He lowered his head, kissing her lips. He put his arms around her belly, pulling her a bit closer to his body, and she rested her head against his chest.
“Oh my God. Feel this”, she said, grabbing his palm and holding it against the place on her belly where she felt the tiny jult.
“Oh my…Is that? Is that our baby kicking?” Dillon asked, trying not to get too excited.
“Yes”, she breathed. “Oh there it goes again.”
“Wow, Georgie. That’s our baby. I can’t believe it.”
“Believe it honey. Believe it. This little one is going to be a fighter.”
He turned her toward him to get a look at her.
“What is it?” she asked.
“I just need you to know…Thank you for making me a daddy. You and this baby mean the word to me.”
Not a word spoken, she brought her lips to his in such a manner that it practially stopped Dillon’s breathing.
He tried to stay in control as he wrapped his arms around her waist, deepening the kiss.
Her arms went around his neck, playing with his hair, something she knew drove him crazy.
"Georgie," Dillon breathed, pulling away from her. "We can't do this here. I don't want to hurt you."
Georgie's eyes were smoky, her breathing all messed up as she nodded her head.
"Here, I have an idea." He told her, standing up. He held out his hand and she grabbed it as he helped her stand up. He turned around, turning the shower on and pulling the plug, letting the water run out of the bath tub.
Georgie smiled as he stood behind her now, grabbing the bottle of shampoo and rubbing some of into her hair.
Dillon pulled the curtain closed and only the light from the candles surrounding the bathroom danced about the walls. Georgie turned to face Dillon, her head dropped against his chest as he continued to rub in the shampoo. He also tried to ignore what she was doing to his body as her body was up close to his. She began kissing his chest, planting tiny kisses all along his upper half.
“Georgie, Georgie”, he murmured. He positioned her so that she wasn’t at quite the intimate state that she had been a few seconds before, and so that he could rinse out her hair.
Georgie felt his fingers as he massaged her temples, being sure to get out all the shampoo. When she arched her neck back to feel more of the water, Dillon found himself mesmerized with her luscious neck. Then he found himself lowering his lips down to the front of her neck. And when she gave a soft moan, he could feel her voice cords vibrate through and escape her lips. His mouth moved and curved around to the side of her neck as she lifted her head back up slowly and rested it against Dillon’s chest once again. He began to attack the side of her neck, sucking as gently as he could, given how he felt at the moment. Georgie’s arm curved up and traveled up his chest and around the back of his neck, pushing herself closer to him. The only distance between them consisted of her expanded belly. And Dillon’s palms traveled down her arms and stopped at her belly. He watched her for a moment as he lowered himself, sitting on his knees in the tub. He began kissing her expanded belly and touching it with his palms. She took in a deep breath as she lay back against the wall and Dillon made his way back up her body. Clasping his fingers through hers, he lifted her arms with his, traveling up the back of the wall and over her head. His lips traveled up and down the inside of her arms.
“Georgie, I um…”
“Yes”, she attacked his neck. “Take me, now.”
Dillon, eagerly wanting to obey, turned off the water and held her, helping her step out of the bathtub and onto the bathmat. He grabbed a towel for Georgie, wrapping it around her. She tucked in a piece that would hold it there around her body until they got to their room while Dillon grabbed another and wrapped it around his waist.
Georgie opened the bathroom door only to find Maxi and Kyle in the kitchen, chasing each other. They were apparently having a food fight and when Kyle turned to face them, Georgie quickly turned around and hid herself behind Dillon.
“Hi, guys”, Maxi said, with cream filling in her hair, laughing. “Supper is almost ready.”
“Okay, thanks.”
Dillon sighed as he and Georgie headed to their room. Georgie went to her suitcases, picking out a pair of pajamas. Dillon came up behind her, nibbling slightly on the back of her neck. Georgie pushed him away playfully.
“Dillon! Get dressed!”
"But baby..." He trailed off, standing at her side as he began to suck on her neck.
Georgie rolled her head to the side, giving him more access. "God, Dillon..." She brought her hand up and placed it on the back of his head, pushing it against her neck. "We really shouldn't be doing this right now...not now..."
He gently guided her to the bed, and once the back of her knees hit it, she began to lay back. He hovered over her body as he continued kissing her neck.
“Dillon, Dillon. Dinner is…dinner is almost ready”, she murmured, pressing his lips harder against her neck, her hands going through his hair.
“I know, but we’ll be fine. We won’t take long”, he breathed, removing his lips from her neck and making his way to her mouth.
“But Dillon…Oh God, don’t stop”, his tongue plunged into her mouth as he pushed both thier their bodies up the bed, so that Georgie’s head rested comfortably on the pillow.
"Oh my goodness," Georgie mumbled under her breath as she stood in front of the mirror, pulling her hair up into a ponytail.
Dillon laughed as he walked up behind her. "Something wrong, baby?" He asked, pulling a white T-shirt over his head.
She turned around quickly, a slight flush on her cheeks. "Nope, everything's fine." She said a little quicker than usual, and then laughed once she realized.
He shook his head, kissing her forehead. "You ready?" He asked walking toward the bedroom door.
"It's fine, they didn't hear anything." He assured her, a slight smile forming across his face.
Georgie rolled her eyes as he slipped his hand around her waist, pulling her closer to him and kissing her lips quickly before letting her go and opening the door.
"Hey!" Maxie called after them as they walked into living room. "Just in time, dinner is done." She told them smiling as Kyle brought the tray of food into the dining room and set it on the table.
"Mmm," Georgie sighed, inhaling the smell of the food. "smells great." She said, rubbing her belly.
Dillon smiled at her and pulled out a chair, she sat down and he pushed it closer to the table.
"Thank you," She said, looking up at him.
He winked and sat down next to her. "Kyle made this all by himself?" He asked, raising his eyebrow.
"Yes, I did!" Kyle said proudly, sitting down across from him. "Maxie was too busy being a child," he said rolling his eyes at her as he stuck her tongue out at him.
Everyone dug into the wonderfully prepared dinner that Kyle had so proudly prepared.
“My compliments to the chef”, Dillon commented, shoving another spoonful of the potatoes into this mouth.
Dillon looked over at Georgie who was quickly shoving spoonfuls into her mouth, pulling off a piece of bread to go along with it. When she realized that everyone was staring, she looked up and chewed a bit faster.
“What?” she asked, finally swallowing. “It’s good!” she lifted her fork and knife at the same time, not really understanding why everyone was so freaked out.
“Um sis, did someone forget to feed you today?”
“Hey!” she said, using her fork to point at her sister. “You try carrying a cantaloupe in your tummy and then talk to me. I have to feed the kid.”
She went on shoveling it all in as an idea came to Maxi. She took her spoon and getting some mashed potatoes in the center, she flinged the spoon so that they went flying straight into Georgie’s hair. She slowly looked up.
“You did not just fling potatoes in my hair.”
Maxi was too busy all doubled over, from laughing so hard.
“Oh my goodness, you should have seen your face!”
“Girl, you are going to get it”, Georgie warned, and without hesitation, she flung a bit of her potatoes at Maxi.
“Ahh!”
Dillon and Kyle began to get up, but Georgie grabbed onto Dillon’s arm and pulled him gently back down as she took some mashed potatoes in her fist and shoved them straight into Dillon’s face. He shook his head as if he were a dog who has just gotten a cool bath, the potatoes went everywhere, including Georgie.
“Dillon!” she shoved at him, laughing.
“Aaaarrh!!!” he grabbed her, tickling her sides as she couldn’t stop herself from laughing.
After Georgie dried the dished while Maxi washed, Georgie’s palm went to her stomach and headed to the living room. Dillon sat on the couch, watching a basketball game with Kyle.
“Dillon”, her hand went to his shoulder, gently rubbing it as she stood next to the couch.
“What is it baby?” his eyes wandered to her stomach where her palm was resting. His voice changed to concern. “Are you all right, baby?” He was beginning to stand.
“Yes, Dillon” she told him, her voice telling him that he didn’t need to get up. “I’m just going to go lye down for the night”, she leaned over and kissed his cheek. “Night guys”, she hollered behind her as she headed for her and Dillon’s room.
Dillon was still concerned. “Hey. I’m gonna hit the sack too. Thanks a lot for supper man. Never would have guessed that you could cook.”
“Aww thanks man. That means a lot. Hits me right here”, he said, his fist turning into a ball and landing on his heart to go with his mocked face.
“What he means is ‘you’re welcome’.” Maxi told him as she came to the edge of the couch to sit next to Kyle.
“Right. Night you two.”
Dillon quietly opened the door to find Georgie already curled up in bed, with the light off. He walked around to his side of the bed and climbed beneath the covers.
“Georgie, baby are you all right?” he asked as he crawled up behind her, taking her by the waist and pulling her back against his front.
She sniffled a bit. “I’m fine.”
Dillon’s eyebrows rose. She’d been crying.
“Baby, come on. Talk to me”, he begged, moving a strand of hair off her neck to bury his head there.
“Dillon, I’m fine. Just please leave it alone for right now. We need to get some sleep. Long drive tomorrow, remember?”
“But Georgie…”
“Night, Dillon.” She turned a little more on her side, but Dillon didn’t make any effort at all to release her from his embrace. “Night, baby.”

Chapter 29
Dillon stepped out of the bathroom, drying his hair with his towel while Georgie finished up some dishes.
“Hey Dillon…” she turned, drying a bowl. And then her eyes watched as he threw the towel into the hamper outside the bathroom and walked shirtless around the counter in the center of the kitchen. Pulling it over his head, and down on his chest, he walked to her.
“What is it babe?” he kissed her forehead as he sat himself up on the counter across from her and grabbed and apple, biting into it.
Georgie continued to look down at the dish that she was drying.
“I just wanted to be sure that you were ready…for when Kristina is here.”
He bit into his apple again, one eyebrow raising with a smile. Over the last couple of weeks, he’d grown accustomed to her moods and the way that she was feeling. He had learned what he could and couldn’t do for her at those times. Within in the last week, he’d made about 15 calls in the middle of the night, waking Ned and Alexis from their sleep to ask them silly questions pertaining to Georgie’s behavior and mood swings. Tonight, he was returning the favor as he and Georgie were to watch baby Kristina for them.
“I’m ready…”
She looked up and caught his glance. Quickly turning around, embarrassed, she placed the now very dry bowl into the cabinet.
He stepped up behind her, his hands going to her waist, his chin resting on her shoulder.
“You want me don’t you?” he whispered in her ear.
“You hush and go answer the door.”
“They’re not hear yet babe”, he informed herm his voice deep and low. His lips began to travel around her neck when she turned around to face him once more.
Very bad move, for this only put them in even more a proximity.
“Um…” she began as Dillon’s lips began to come forward. “No!” she giggled as she forced him away. “We have like 5 minutes before they get here and we cannot…We just can’t. Now don’t you have something that you need to be doing?”
“Yeah I do, but she won’t let me close enough”, he said, his eyes gleaming with mischief.
“You little ass…” she began as she turned around and grabbed the towel, smacking his legs with it as he hopped off the counter at the sound of the doorbell.
“You missed”, he teased.
“Yeah, yeah. Next time I won’t buddy.”
Dillon stuck his tongue out at her and made a funny face as he opened the front door.
"Uhh, hey little brother," Ned laughed, seeing the look on his brother's face.
Alexis stood next to him, Kristina in her arms, laughing. "You think Uncle Dillon is funny, huh?" Alexis asked, bouncing Kristina on her hip.
"Hey," he said, smiling shyly. "I was uhh...trying to make Georgie laugh." He explained, stepping aside to let them in.
Georgie stood in the kitchen, laughing hysterically. "Hi guys," she said, her breathing messed up and she walked into the living room, wiping the tears away.
"Hi sweetie," Alexis said, walking toward her. "how are you?"
"Better," She said, nodding. "Thank you."
“Hey, hey”, Dillon began whispering to Ned. “Don’t bring up any of my late night trips to the bathroom to beat you for advice on how to handle all this, all right?”
Ned smiled, nodding understandably. “You got it, Bro.”
Kristina’s little eyes brightened and her tiny legs began to jump a little as she got really excited to see Georgie.
“Hold on just a second, Kristina. We have to get Georgie to the couch before she can hold you. Come on”, Alexis led Georgie to the couch where a very eager little girl waited to be sat on Georgie’s lap by her mommy.
Ned tapped Dillon’s arm quickly and Dillon looked to where Ned was referring.
Kristina, with a slight smile dancing on her lips, looked from Georgie to her mommy, then back to Georgie. And then she dropped her head against Georgie’s chest as she became embarrassed that everyone was staring at her.
“Aww, we’ve embarrassed your daughter enough for one night. Let’s get going”, Alexis stood, pulling her purse across her shoulder. Ned stepped around and took her hand.
“You’ve got the cell phone number?”
“Check.”
“Formula, diaper bag, diapers…” Alexis muttered to herself.
“Alexis, darling. They have everything. Let’s get going”, he began to pull her toward him.
“Um…thank you so much again for doing this…Whew”, she caught herself before tripping and landing back on Ned as he rushed her out. “And, and…Mama loves you!”
“I love you too, Ma!” Dillon yelled back.
“Funny, very funny. Did you hear what he said, he was mocking me? Did you hear that?”
“Yes, I heard that. Let’s go”, he led her outside, rolling his eyes as he shut the door.
"Hey Princess," Dillon said, sitting on the couch next to Georgie and Kristina.
"Who me?" Georgie asked, looking up at him.
"Actually, I was talking to this little one," he said, touching Kristina's head. "but you're my princess, too." He smiled, kissing her forehead.
"Smooth Quartermaine," she teased, looking back down at the baby.
Kristina started to crawl across Georgie's lap, making her way to Dillon. Her knee pressed into Georgie's belly and she flinched. "Ouch," Georgie touched her belly.
"Are you okay?" Dillon asked, panic rising in his voice.
"I'm fine," Georgie assured him. She looked up at him and smiled slightly. "Really."
"Did I hurt you Aunt Georgie?" Kristina asked, her big blue eyes filled with concern.
"Oh no, I'm fine, baby, I promise." She assured the little girl, kissing the top of her head.
"Just be careful," Dillon told Kristina. "You don't want to hurt the baby." He told her, placing his hand on Georgie's belly and rubbing it gently.
Kristina's eyes got wide. "There's a baby in there?" She asked, pointing to Georgie's belly.
"Yup," Georgie shook her head slowly, smiling at the little girls reaction. "Here, give me your hand." She said, reaching out and grabbing her little hand in her own. She pulled up her shirt a little bit to reveal her belly and placed Kristina's little hand there.
Dillon leaned his head back and smiled as he watched Georgie with Kristina.
Kristina rubbed her hand across Georgie's belly, her eyes still wide.
Georgie rolled her head to the side and looked over at Dillon, who was still smiling. "I love you," she whispered.
"I love you, too." He whispered back.
Georgie felt the baby kick and laughed a little as Kristina pulled her hand back.
"What's wrong, baby girl?" Dillon asked his niece.
“Hehe. Nuffin”, she said. And then she placed her hand back on Georgie’s
tummy to feel another kick which didn’t come. “Kick again, baby. Kick again.”
“The baby must be tired. Maybe the baby is going to sleep”, Dillon suggested.
“Oh, okay.” Kristina then turned her attention back to the baby, watching
Georgie’s tummy, her eyes mesmerized with the idea of a little one in there.
And then Dillon’s fingers began to gently rub the back of Georgie’s knuckles. She turned her hands over so that she could squeeze his and then Dillon lowered his head just a little, just enough for a peck on the lips…or what he thought would be a peck.
Georgie’s hands traveled up his chest, against the front of his shirt and up to his cheeks, her hands cupping his face in hers as she forced his mouth open.
And then they heard Kristina utter a very disgusted, “Yuck!”
"Yuck?" Dillon raised his eyebrow, lifting his niece off of Georgie's lap and
walking away. "Yuck?" He asked again, placing her on the floor as he began tickling her sides.
"No yuck! No yuck!" Kristina started laughing hysterically, moving all around,
trying to get away from him. "Uncle Dillon, I said no yuck!"
Dillon went to the t.v. and put in the movie “Finding Nemo” at Kristina’s request. She was looking a little tired, her eyelids fluttering as she tried to fight sleep. So he lay blanket down on the carpet in front of them so that she could watch the movie and maybe fall asleep.
Dillon lay on his back against the arm-rest and motioned for Georgie. She lay next to him, to his side.
Georgie’s head rested against Dillon’s chest just as Nemo was getting separated from the rest of his classmates.
And then suddenly Georgie’s fingers found Dillon’s and slowly, she began stroking them, playing with them. Dillon’s hand lifted from his stomach as they clasped fingers and their hands intertwined.
And then she raised herself up just a bit and pushed some hair out of Dillon’s face.
“What are you doing baby?” he whispered as she leaned in. “The little one’s down there…”
“Just shut up”, she commanded, placing herself half on top of him as she began to forcefully open his mouth.
“Georgie…” he mumbled. And then she gently bit his lip. Screw talking….
She kissed him harder as Dillon’s fingertips slowly slid up her back, beneath her shirt. And then as his palm roamed around to her side, traveling up her body, she quickly pulled away and got up as fast as her body would let her without getting dizzy. She went to the other side of the room, placing as much distance between he and Georgie as possible.
“Whoa, Georgie…” he stood, catching his breath as she stood across the room from him. He didn’t know if she was going to bust out laughing at any second, or if she was going to cry.
And then her eyes began to water, she was going to cry. Her hands went to her sides, balled up in little fists. If Kristina hadn’t been sleeping, she thought that she’d scream.
“Georgie, excuse me for being blunt, but first you’re all over me and the next…”
“Grrrr!!!!” she screamed, and then she looked down and saw Kristina’s little stuffed animal, a monkey. A skinny little monkey with long legs and arms.
She picked it up and threw it at Dillon. “You suck!” she screamed, not caring now if she woke Kristina.
Kristina rolled over and looked up, and when she didn’t see Dillon or Georgie sitting on the couch, she began to cry.
Georgie, tears streaming down her face, ran to their bedroom where she slammed the door shut. Dillon went to Kristina and picked her up. When she saw him, she smiled through her tears as he carried her to the couch. He lay down on his back as he placed her on her tummy, on top of his chest. He pulled the afghan down off the back of the couch and draped it across her.
Within minutes, with the beat of Dillon’s heartbeat, Kristina was fast asleep once again.
Georgie couldn’t sleep. She tossed and turned for several hours as she thought about the last few weeks. One moment, she wanted Dillon and the next, she just wanted everyone to leave her alone. It wasn’t fair to Dillon, not at all. He hadn’t done anything wrong and she’d pushed him away. But she didn’t want to admit all of these feelings and mixed emotions, she didn’t know exactly how to explain them to herself. So how could she explain them to anyone else?
So she grabbed her light blue, furry, towel-like housecoat and wrapped it around her body, tying the bow across her expanded belly.
As she stepped out, she looked around the darkened living room, the only light shown from the t.v. which was on an infomercial from when the movie ended and rewound itself to the beginning. And as she stepped up to the couch and looked over, she saw the most heart-warming scene as Dillon lay on his back with Kristina lying across him. The afghan has been kicked off so with a smile on her face, she grabbed it and draped it across their bodies once more. Kissing her fingers, she placed them on Dillon’s cheek where he flinched just a little but went right on sleeping.
And then she slowly turned around, still trying to be angry with him. She was still angry at him but she didn’t understand why. Moments earlier, she’d gotten out of bed with the intent to bring him back from the couch, where she’d assumed he’d taken, and back to their bedroom. But she didn’t have the heart to wake him. And now, she was angry again. It was just best to get some sleep right now, sleep is good.
