Chapter 10
Georgie stood infront of the mirror in she and Dillon's bedroom, brushing her wet hair. She had changed into a light yellow colored sundress after she had gotten out of the shower, and yet she just couldn't stop smiling, and she had that pregnancy glow all around her. She couldn't be happier. Dillon walked into the room, buttoning up his work shirt. Georgie saw his reflection in the mirror and couldn't help but laugh. "Honey," she said, setting the brush down on the dresser and turning toward him. "you don't have to wear that." She said, speaking about the now dyed pink work shirt he had on. "I know," he said, also smiling. "but I want to." Georgie playfully rolled her eyes at him, and walked out of the bedroom, Dillon right behind her. He wrapped his arms around her waist, quickly turning her around so that she was facing him. "I love you," he told her, their faces just inches apart. Georgie smiled even brighter than she was before. "I love you, too." They're lips met each other's, finally closing the gap between them.
"You know, I really hate leaving you here alone, I wish I could just stay home with you." He said, pushing some of her hair behind her ear. "Me, too." She said, nodding her head, she felt the same way. "But we've gotta think about this little one." She told him, grabbing his hand and putting it on her belly. "And what this little one needs." Dillon nodded his head. "You're right," he said, rubbing her belly. "are you feeling any better than you were this morning?" "I feel great." She told him, kissing his lips and quickly pulling away. "I'm glad. Are you going to be fine today?" He asked, walking over to the couch and putting his shoes on. "Yeah, I should be. Alexis is coming over with Kristina." "That's good, at least if you need anything while I'm gone she'll be here to help you." "Everything will be fine," she told him as he stood up. She wrapped her arms around his neck. "I promise." "Alright," he said, gently kissing her forehead. "I just want to make sure." "If I need anything, I'll call you." "Okay," he said, walking toward the door, Georgie right behind him. "I love you," he told her, kissing her one last time. "You, too, little one." He said, rubbing her belly. She smiled. "Love you, too."
Georgie had just gotten done with her cleaning when the doorbell rang. "Coming!" Tired and all sweaty, she answered the door. "Oh, Georgie! You look so cute!" Alexis told her. Georgie stepped to the side to welcome her and baby Kristina inside. Her bandana was sliding down her face and her hair was a mess. How she could look cute was beyond her. She brought the back of her hand to her forehead. "Are you okay?" Alexis asked. And Georgie laughed. "I'm serious. You look like you're really starting to feel at home here. And you and Dillon, and this little one," she said, placing her hand against her belly, smiling. "Are going to be one big happy family." "Oh, Alexis I hope so. That's all I want." "Come," she said, taking Georgie's hand as they took a seat on the couch.
Dillon was rushing around his office at ELQ, trying to find the papers he had to have faxed to Ned by the afternoon. He was seriously about ready to freak out when in came Ned. "Ned, I am so sorry man. I'm looking all over for those papers" "You mean," he turned up some papers for him to look at that. "These papers?" "Hey, where did you find them?" "You left them in the lounge. Just thought I'd let you know you don't have to worry. I found them." "Thank you. It won't happen again." "I know, Dillon. And I trust you." Ned began to head out the door. "Hey, Ned. You got a minute?"
"Now, you're not overdoing this cleaning business are you, Georgie?" Kristina looked from her mother to Georgie. And then she climbed from Alexis' lap to Georgie's with a big smile on her face. Georgie leaned back so that she could hold the little one against her. Kristina played with the string on her shirt. "No, Alexis. I'm fine really. I wouldn't do anything that would hurt this baby in anyway," she told her, resting her other hand on her belly. "Okay, well I want you to take care of yourself. I'm sure that Dillon doesn't let you lift a finger when he is home, so I understand that this is probably the only time that you get the chance to do a little cleaning up." "You got it. You know Dillon. He takes such good care of me." And then Georgie blushed just a little. She wanted Dillon home soon. Alexis smiled, for she saw the glimmer in Georgie's eyes. "Well, how are you and Dillon adjusting? You certainly look a lot happier than before." She blushed once more. "Um, yeah. We're, we're great. We just love it here. And we owe you all of the gratitude in the world." "Oh, Georgie. It was breaking our hearts to have this place not being used. Really, it was nothing." "It was more than that to us. This place is amazing. And Dillon and I have never been happier."
Dillon sat across from Ned at his desk. "I just hate to see her so upset. She gets really sad sometimes." "Dillon, really it's just hormones. Nothing to be alarmed about." "But how can I help her? I don't want to just sit back and watch her go through all this without me. I want to help her through as much as I can. I love her so much."
"I think that you and Dillon could live in a cardboard box and you two would still be happy, because you have each other." Georgie smiled. "You know, I think you're right. I love Dillon so much, Alexis. And that's all that matters. We love each other and now we have another person to share that love with."
"I know, Dillon. All Alexis and I or anyone for that matter can look at the two of you for about a second and they know. You and Georgie are really lucky." Dillon smiled. He would be Georgie's support, her strength, through anything.
"And you know what?" Alexis said, looking at baby Kristina lying across Georgie's chest, her cheek resting there, sucking her thumb, her eyes drifting. "I think that someone is going to be a little jealous when this little one comes along," she said, referring to Kristina. Georgie looked down and smiled, brushing back a few of Kristina's curls from her forehead.
"Thank you so much, Ned. Really, I appreciate it." "Anytime, man." Ned said, pulling Dillon's hand and touching his shoulder with his chest, his hands rustling through his little brother's hair. "Hey, don't mess with the hair," Dillon laughed. "Little brother, it was a mess a long time ago." "Oh, funny!" Dillon said, trying not to laugh as he led his brother out the door. Watching him go back to his own office he chuckled to himself. Ned rocked!
"I can't wait to meet this baby, you know? I want the next 7 months to just go by really fast so that I can hold our baby in my arms." Alexis smiled, for she knew the feeling. "Okay, well my daughter is now asleep." "Ohh, sorry about that." "No need. We just better get home. Is there anything at all that I can help you with before I leave? Anything at all?" "Nope. We're good," she told her, giving her Kristina and walking her out.

Chapter 11
Dillon unlocked the door and stepped inside, setting his keys on the small table. He went further in to see Georgie on a chair, standing on her tip toes trying to get something from the cabinet. He shook his head, going to her. Grabbing her and hearing her scream, he took her body in his arms and set her down on the floor infront of him. He tried to give her a dirty look. "What do you think you're doing, babe?" "Um," she blushed. "Um, getting some chocolate chip cookies." He stepped up on the chair and grabbed them from the cabinet. Stepping down, he handed them to her. And by the time he got the chair pushed back into the coffee table, Georgie had 2 already eaten. "Damn, girl. Hungry?" He teased, taking her by the waist. "Want one?" She offered, holding it out to him. He took a bite from her hand. "Yum," he murmured. "Yeah," she whispered, entranced with Dillon's eyes. "Mmm, ugh," she scowled, resting her hand behind on her back. "What is it?" He asked as she moved to the counter, putting her head down, trying to wait for the pain in her lower back to stop. "Baby? Come on, you need to lie down," he guided her out of the kitchen. "Dillon, I'm fine! It will stop in a minute." "Georgie, just lie down." "I'm fine! Stop babying me!" She went off. Suddenly it hit her, what she had just said. She immediately turned to face Dillon. And the look in his eyes was not as painful to her as the back pain. "Oh, Dillon," her hands went to cover her mouth. She immediately went to him, tightly wrapping her arms around him. "Georgie, I understand. It's okay." "No, it's not! I completely freaked out on you and I don't understand why! You are so amazing and you're the only thing keeping me going. I love you so much! I don't know why I snapped. I love it when you take care of me. It's so..." "Georgie," he cut her off. "I don't doubt any of that for a second. I understand, okay. I need to back off." "No, Dillon! Please, don't. I just--I just--" she fought for her words as she broke down, the tears ran their course. "Georgie," he said, his fingers wiping away the wetness from her cheeks. "I understand. I won't back off, I promise. If that's what you want." "That's what I want. I don't want you to back off." And then his eyes met with hers and Georgie stood on her tip toes, her arms encircling his neck. Their lips connected. His tongue slipped between her lips and into her mouth as she clung just a little tighter to him. And when he pulled away, his forehead rested on hers. He turned her to lead her to the couch, but she stopped, doubling over. "Georgie, I'm going to run your bath water, but I have to get you to the couch first." "Okay," she forced herself up with the help of Dillon. And as soon as he had her on the couch and resting comfortably beneath a blanket, he went to run her water.
Dillon went to the couch, and with one hand beneath her back and the other beneath her legs, he carried her to the bathroom. Georgie cuddled against him. He sat her down infront of him beside the tub, now filled with bubbles and steamy water. Georgie was just staring at him and her hand drifted up to the side of his face, and then slowly brought her lips to his, coaxing his mouth open, begging him for entrance. And then Dillon forced himself to pull away. He was smiling, for he liked it too much but this wasn't what Georgie really needed right now. "Okay, baby. We need to get you feeling better." She nodded, standing there. "And, this is me leaving. So you can have your privacy. If you need anything just holler." "No, I'd like it if--if you'd join me? Please?" Dillon stopped, overwhelmed with her. It was no use fighting it, he went to her quickly, kissing her fully on the mouth. Georgie pulled back, giggling just a bit. She kissed him again. As the water finished running, the steam rising, Dillon's hands drifted to her blouse. His fingers fumbled with the buttons as he pulled away from their kisses, kissing her neck, and her shoulder as he let the shirt fall slowly to the floor. Georgie smiled, and then she lifted Dillon's shirt from his chest, kissing him as he led her to the bathtub. But then her back hurt worse than ever. Dillon quickly pulled back. "Here", he whispered, guiding her down on the edge of the bathtub. He kneeled infront of her as he continued to undress her. And then he gently helped her slide into the warm, relaxing bubbles. He leaned down toward her. He smiled and then he finished undressing himself. Georgie watched, mesmerized with him as she leaned forward and he stepped into the bathtub behind her. Sliding down into the water with her, she rested her body against back against his. Dillon rubbed her shoulders as she rested her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes. Slowly, he inclined his head, softly kissing her neck. "Mmm," she moaned, trying to expose more of her neck. He got the hint and continued kissing her neck. He slowly began sucking at her soft skin, not caring if he left marks. "God, Dillon," she moaned again, moving her back against his chest, wanting to be closer to him. Dillon looked at her, her back was arched a little bit, and he remembered why they were in the bathtub to begin with. He pulled his lips away from her neck, feeling a little guilty. Georgie straightened her body out again, laying back against Dillon's chest. She turned her head to look at him. "Dillon, what's wrong?" She asked, her breathing ragged. "Why did you stop?" "I'm sorry," he said, trying to look away. "I shouldn't have done that." Georgie sighed heavily. "Dillon, look at me when you're talking to me." "I shouldn't have done that," he repeated, this time he was looking at her when he said it. "Done what? What's wrong?" "You're supposed to be relaxing," he reminded her. "I'm supposed to be taking care of you, not making your pain worse." Georgie couldn't believe how wonderfully amazing Dillon was. She brought her hand to the side of his face, stroking his cheek with her palm. "Dillon, I want you. The time when we are together like this. That is the time when I am most relaxed. This is relaxing for me. And what is relaxing for me is good for the baby. You are doing nothing wrong. I promise. Don't hold back, Dillon. Please?" There was no stopping him. Dillon was so overwhelmed with the feelings inside his body. He inclined his head, bringing his lips to hers. And he thought that he would go crazy when she opened her mouth and let him taste more of her. Georgie's soapy hand came out of the water and went to Dillon's face and behind his head, pressing him closer to her. "Dillon..." she forced herself away from his lips. "We...wow. We're going to get too carried away." "You're right. I'm sorry." She hushed him with her fingertips. "Don't be sorry, Dillon." He smiled, kissing her forehead. And then he began to massage her shoulders, moving down to her lower back. Georgie moaned with the feel of his touch. And then he brought her back toward him. Georgie played with his fingers, curling them with hers and running them through the water. And then suddenly, she sat up a little more, Dillon's arms instinctively going about her waist. "Georgie, what are you doing?" "This" she simply said. And then she turned completely toward him, her legs encircling his waist. She sat on his lap. "Georgie" he moaned. His eyes were practically rolling to the back of his head. "Um...we...You have to...Oh, Georgie." She straddled him, biting his shoulder, loving the sounds escaping his lips. Then she got down to business. She got a cup sitting next to the tub and she poured the water on Dillon. And then he took it, doing the same to her. They were now both soak and wet. And Georgie grabbed a washcloth, washing Dillon's chest and arms, everywhere that she could reach. Dillon was about to lose it right then and there. He wanted to take her into their room and make mad, sweet love to her all night long. But he didn't. He helped Georgie turn back around so that he could massage her aching back. And when he was through, Georgie lay back against him. "Mmm" Dillon forced himself not to grab her and kiss her senseless, hearing her moan. "Thank you, Dillon." "For what, babe?" "For everything." And then she was kissing him again, but not for long. Without a word spoken, she leaned forward and pulled the plug. Dillon looked at her with suspicious, dancing eyes. She smiled at him, trying to stand. But Dillon wouldn't let her. He stood first and then helped Georgie out. Reaching for a towel and wrapping it around her, then grabbing one for himself. She turned toward him and immediately began to kiss him fully again. She wanted to taste all of him. She led him out of the bathroom and into their bedroom.

Chapter 12
"Georgie," Dillon said, his breathing heavy as he pulled away from her lips. "Are you sure you're okay?" "Yes," she said, her cheeks were flushed and her breathing deep. "I just want to make sure," he said, gently pushing her away and holding her at arms length so that he could see her whole body. "I don't want to hurt you in anyway," he said, his voice low. "or this little one." He finished, putting his hand on her belly, and gently rubbing. "We are both fine," she said, stepping closer to him, and wrapping her arms around his neck. "I promise." He looked at her, smiling. She leaned forward, once again capturing his bottom lip in her own, kissing him furiously. Dillon began to lead her toward their bed, but as his arms encircled her waist and his lips still on hers, he was completely unaware of the small dresser. He was placed off balance and would have fallen straight forward and into the carpet if it hadn't been for Georgie. She stopped him. And then her hands went to her mouth, covering her giggles. "Oh you are not--are you laughing at me?" "Oh come here, you", he said, pulling her body against his. Georgie's hands ran through his silky, soft, wet hair and pulled his him toward her. And then Dillon pulled away from their kisses, but only long enough to scoop her up in his arms. Georgie laughed softly as Dillon carried her to their bed and carefully lay her down, her hair fanning out across the pillowcases. She looked up at Dillon, her palm resting on his cheek as he hovered over her. Dillon took her hand, kissing her fingers. And then he gently let his body lay against hers, taking her arms and wrapping them around his neck. He buried his head into the place where her neck met her shoulder. Georgie began to giggle just a bit when he started kissing her neck, for it tickled when he did that. And when he could no longer take not kissing her lips, he brought his mouth down on hers, holding her tightly against his body, her hands grabbing at his hair. And then Dillon's hand went down and untied her towel. Pulling it away from her body, he pulled up the blankets and helped her beneath them. Then he returned his lips to her body, kissing her everywhere. Georgie reached up and around Dillon's waist, taking off his towel. Dillon finally pulled away, he only had about a tiny bit of control left. Then she was looking up at him with that soft smile on her face. Take that back, he had none. No control at all. What he'd had just a few seconds ago had just thrown out the window. "Georgie--Georgie, I can't hold out much longer." Georgie didn't say anything, she just smiled before lifting her head up, crashing her lips back onto his and pulling him back down with her as she laid her head back on the pillows. Their tongues swirled around in each other's mouths, as Georgie ran her fingernails up and down Dillon's back making him groan, he couldn't take it anymore. He slowly laid his body on hers, careful not to put too much of his weight on her. "I love you so much," he said, not pulling away from her lips. "Oh God," she moaned, arching her back slightly. "I love you."
Georgie woke up the next morning and looked over at Dillon, who was still fast asleep, one of his arms was draped across her expanded belly, the other laying at the side of his body. She smiled as she continued to look at him, she loved the way he looked when he slept, so peaceful. She inched closer to his body, laying her head down on his chest, listening to his heart beat. Dillon began to stir awake as Georgie pulled back a little bit so that she could look up at him. Once his eyes had time to adjust to the slight light that was pouring into their bedroom through the closed curtains, he looked down at a smiling Georgie. "Good morning, beautiful." He said, smiling. He hugged her closer to his body, gently kissing her forehead. "Morning," she said, burying her head into his chest. "How did you sleep last night?" "Very well," she murmured, not moving from where she was laying. "the best sleep in a while." "That's good," he said, yawning. "Hey honey?" She said, making small circular movements on his bare chest. "Yeah, babe?" He asked, waiting to hear what she had to say. "Can we stay this way all day?" She asked. He laughed, but knew she was dead serious. "I'd love that," he said, playing with her hair. "but I don't know how Maxie and Kyle would feel about that." Georgie sighed, still not lifting her head up off of his chest. "Okay, I guess you're right. Just 5 more minutes, okay?" "Sounds good to me," he said, gently rubbing her belly.
Georgie was reaching up into the cabinets for the oatmeal when Dillon walked into the kitchen and saw her. He was buttoning up his shirt. And he caught the slightest glimpse of her tummy as her shirt rode up a bit, as she stood on her tiptoes. The soft look of her stomach brought back the scenes of last night in his head, and he forced himself to snap out of it. But he did, however come up behind her and wrapped her up tightly in his embrace. Georgie jumped up so high that she about head bunt him in the chin. Dillon laughed and so did Georgie. She turned around to face him. "Hey, you," she said. And then the doorbell rang. "Race you!" she said as they both took off toward the door. Dillon didn't go too fast so that she wouldn't have any problem keeping ahead of him in her condition.
His arms went about her waist as she opened the door. There stood Kyle and Maxi. Georgie held her arms out, tears about to form, as Maxi hugged her little sister with all she had. And then Georgie stopped the tears and Maxi walked by Dillon. "Man, you really need to get that hair looked at." "Yeah, yeah. Come here." Dillon smiled, and Maxi hugged him. "Hey, girl. Oh, you look too cute pregnant Georgie," Kyle told her. And then he leaned forward to whisper. "Too bad you didn't go for me instead of hair boy over here.Ć¢" He'd said it just loud enough for Dillon to hear and they all laughed.
A half an hour later, they were all gathered around on the sofa, eating sandwiches. The radio played. Maxi, Kyle, and Georgie sat on the couch. Dillon sat on the armrest next to Georgie, his arm about her shoulders as they laughed about how they first met. "Oh, I love this song!" Maxi exclaimed. And then she looked around at everyone's glances her way. She blushed. "Sorry, guys. I just think that this song rocks." She stood and went to turn up the volume. Dillon laughed and then he stood after squeezing Georgie's hand. He went to Maxi and held out his hand. "Miss. Jones, I would be honored if you would share this dance with me," he told her in his best accent. Georgie giggled. "Why certainly. I would love to," she said laughing as she bowed and Dillon took her hand. Dillon's arms went about her waist and Maxi's wrists came together around Dillon's neck.
"So uh" Kyle whispered in Georgie's ear. "What do you say you and I share a dance?" Georgie smiled, shaking her head as she watched Kyle stand and take a hand in his, helping her up. Kyle held her, but was sure to keep enough distance so that the baby would not be crowded.
Lying in my bed I hear the clock tick, And think of you Caught up in circles confusion Is nothing new Flashback warm nights Almost left behind Suitcases of memories, Time after
"I am so glad that my sister didn't listen to me about you," Maxi told him. "Um,thanks?" he laughed. "I mean it. Because I never knew that a nerd could be such a great guy. And you have so been there for my sister. And I respect you for that." "Thank you, Maxi. That means a lot." "It's also the reason why I want you for myself." Dillon looked at her and they just both cracked up.
Sometimes you picture me I'm walking too far ahead You're calling to me, I can't hear What you've said Then you say go slow I fall behind The second hand unwinds
"Oh man. Never thought I'd be able to do this," Kyle mumbled. "And what is that?" she asked him. "Dance with Georgie Jones. The good sister. You know, I always knew you had this wild side about you." Georgie laughed. "Radcliff, you are too much."
If you're lost you can look and you will find me Time after time If you fall I will catch you I'll be waiting Time after time If you're lost you can look and you will find me Time after time If you fall I will catch you I'll be waiting Time after time
"But seriously, Dillon. When are you going to get that thing on your head cut? I mean, aren't you just the tiniest bit embarrassed to be seen in public in that thing?" "Hey, my girl doesn't have a problem with it, neither do I." She smiled.
After my picture fades and darkness has Turned to gray Watching through windows you're wondering If i'm ok Secrets stolen from deep inside The drum beats out of time
If you're lost you can look and you will find me Time after time If you fall i will catch you i'll be waiting Time after time
You said go slow I fall behind The second hand unwinds
"Look at my babe over there, she's so into your man." Georgie looked over and smiled at her sister and boyfriend dancing. She was so glad that they liked each other now. It made things a whole lot nicer. "You love her so much, don't you, Kyle?" He looked back at her, serious. "Yes, I do." And then he smiled, becoming his joking self again. "And to think, I was so into you at first." She laughed and hit him in the arm.
If you're lost you can look and you will find me Time after time If you fall i will catch you i'll be waiting Time after time
If you're lost you can look and you will find me Time after time If you fall i will catch you i'll be waiting Time after time
"I love ya, Dillon." "Oh, I love ya too, Maxi," he told her, kissing her forehead.
Time after time
"I love ya, Kyle. You are too much. You always make me laugh." "Love you too, Georgie. You have a nice rack." Georgie's jaw dropped as she hit him in the arm and stuck her tongue out at him. They both laughed like crazy.
Time after time Time after time

Chapter 13
"Dillon," Georgie said, standing at the edge of the Quartermaine's huge in-ground pool, her hands on her hips. "There is no way that float is going to hold me up." "Sure it will," he said, throwing it into the pool. "come on, I'll show you." "No way," she said, standing her ground. "Baby," he said, walking toward her. "Nope." She said, shaking her head. Maxie, who was laying on a lounge chair, starting laughing. "Don't start with her, Dillon." "Yeah, I don't think she'll be too pretty when you piss her off." Kyle added, standing up from where he was sitting at the edge of the pool. He turned to face Kyle and Maxie."Guys, I've been living with her for the past 3 months, I think I know how she is." He turned to face Georgie and smiled while she gave him a dirty look. He walked up to her, wrapping his arms loosely around her waist, slightly tilting his head to kiss her lips. She smiled up at him, slowly pulling away and putting her hands on his shoulders. He caught onto what she was about to do. He quickly wrapped his arms around her waist just as she pushed him, causing both of them to fall into the pool with a big splash. Kyle jumped up, running over to the side of the pool. "Oh God, she is so going to kill him." Maxie ran to Kyle's side, looking into the pool just as Georgie emerged gasping for air. Dillon came up right next to her laughing, but quickly stopped once he saw the look on her face. "Oh God, Georgie.." he said, wrapping one of his arms around her waist, swimming to the side of the pool. He lifted her up and set her down on the edge of the pool, his hands immediately going to the sides of her face. "I am so sorry. I am so sorry. The baby.." his words trailed off as he dropped his hands to her stomach. Maxie and Kyle ran over to them and kneeled down next to her. She shook her head, placing her hands over his. "Dillon," she said, but was cut off as he began talking again. "I am so sorry, I just forgot." "Honey!" She yelled, finally getting his attention. "I'm fine. Everything is fine. If something were wrong, I would know and I'd tell you. I'm fine, really." "I really am sorry, Georgie. Really. I'll be more careful I promise." Georgie reached out to him as she saw he really was worried, tears began to form in his eyes even. She brought him to her and sitting on the edge of the pool, she held him against her, his head resting against her chest. Maxi and Kyle leaned over the side. "Oh, how I would love to be that man's head right now", Kyle mumbled. Maxi's jaw dropped and she playfully hit him in the arm. "What, baby? I was just kidding. Well--sort of." And then Dillon let her out of his grasp. "All right, guys. Let's get this party started." "He thinks he is Pink now", Kyle mumbled as they all hopped in the pool. Dillon helped Georgie climb in her raft. She floated as she watched her friends splash and play with each other. She didn't think she had ever laughed so hard in his life when Kyle gave Dillon a noogie. "Hey! The hair! Do not mess with the hair, Radcliff!" "Um--hon. It's been messed up for awhile now", Maxi told him. Dillon stuck his tongue out at her. And then they saw a very amused Emily and Zander walking with towels in hand, and their arms around each other. "Wow, guys. We were wondering if we could possibly join you?" "Oh, yeah! The more the merrier." Zander jumped in, and Emily slid down to stand next Georgie in the water. "So, how is everything coming along, Georgie?" she smiled. "Good. I am so happy, Emily. It feels like this is the best time of my life. And it's just beginning." Emily smiled. "Can I?" she asked. "Of course." Georgie took Emily's palm and placed it on her belly. Although the baby was not kicking or moving enough to feel outside her body, Emily took joy in feeling where her baby was. "The head is right here." "Oh! Georgie!" She got excited. And then suddenly, Zander swam beneath the water, his shoulders going beneath Emily and pushing her back, causing her to do a flip. "Zander!" she yelled once she came back up for air. "Emily!" he yelled back.
"Dillon, do you think you could help me? I'd like to get down and into the water." Dillon swam over to her and guided her off of the float. "You sure you want to be turned loose with us wild animals?" he asked. "Yes, I'll take my chances." Maxi went to grab the volleyball. "Hey guys! Let's play a bit! 3 against 3!" Kyle, Georgie, and Zander were put on one side. While Maxi, Dillon, and Emily were put on the other. The other team had 3 points on them. And if they received another, it'd be the winning point. So Kyle came up with an idea. "Get on my shoulders", he told Georgie. "Huh?" "Get on my shoulders. Here." Kyle dunked beneath the water and when he came up, he now held Georgie on his shoulders. "Oh you better be careful Radcliff, or I will break every bone in your body", she warned. "Be careful, hon. You're turning me on with your aggressiveness." "Hey! That is not fair! You can't do that!" Maxi said."This is fair! We keep missing your balls because you throw them so high. Well now we won't have that problem now will we? Serve!" Maxi stuck her tongue out at him. And then Georgie bumped back her serve. It landed right into the water on the other side, missed by Dillon. Maxi went up to him and smacked him right alongside the head. Kyle, Georgie, and Zander won. And Kyle dunked back into the water so that he could allow Georgie to slide off his shoulders and back into the water. Maxi came up behind him. "Yeah, we all know you just wanted her for yourself. It wasn't about the points", Maxi teased. Kyle raised his eyebrows in his gesture, and then when Maxi acted hurt, he turned her back around to face her, planting small kisses on her neck. "Okay, okay. You're forgiven", she teased. And then Dillon came up behind them, grabbing Maxi and dunking her into the water. "Oh you jerk! And you ass!" she said, referring to Kyle. "Why didn't you tell me he was there, huh?" "I don't know. Us guys have to stick together." Kyle and Dillon high fived each other.

Chapter 14
"Okay, so you'll get her out of here then?" Dillon asked. He was in their room, talking on the phone. He found himself continuously looking over in the doorway, just to be sure Georgie wasn't standing there to hear everything. "And how soon is soon?" He lowered his voice. "What are you talking about? I am calm. I am so calm right now." "Very funny. Just get her out of here, please." "Thank you."
Georgie stood at the sink, washing dishes when the phone rang. "Hello?" she answered with soapy hands. "Oh, hello Emily. How are you?" "Pretty good. A little bored though. I was wondering if maybe you'd like to go shopping with me today? Maybe we could even check out some maternity clothes." "Oh, Emily! That sounds wonderful! I'll be ready in 10 minutes."
"Oh, look at this! This is so beautiful, Georgie!" Emily exclaimed, holding up a very nice Ivory colored dress. "Um, Emily. Where in the world would I wear that?" "For Dillon, hello. Come on. Every girl has to have a dress for special occasions. Not just to go out or wear some place. Just to wear for Dillon at the house. Every couple has to have a night planned where they have a night alone, just the two of them. And this dress would be perfect!" "Thank you, Emily. The gesture is sweet but um, I don't think so." "Come on. Just try it", she pressed on. "Please? For me?" Emily was right. Georgie had slipped on the dress and now stood in front of the floor length mirror in her dressing room. She loved it. Her cell rang a little tune and when she saw that it was him, she made a promise to herself to break his legs the next time she saw him. "Will you stop? I have like so got this under control, for now. But if you keep bugging me, she is going to get suspicious." "Calm your ass down. We'll be back soon. Chill." "Well come on, Georgie. Don't keep me in suspense. Let's see." Georgie stepped out of the fitting room and Emily whistled. "Wow, will Dillon flip when he sees you." Georgie blushed. "I kinda like it." "Well, let's get it. You have this and 4 maternity clothes. We accomplished a lot in one day." "But are you sure?" she asked. "Yes, Georgie. You look great. Come on." Emily led her to the nearest checkout lane.
Dillon paced back and forth across the living room, buttoning up his dress shirt. "Dillon, you are seriously going to wear a hole in the carpet." Maxie said, setting the bouquet of flowers down on the table. "I'm sorry," he said, stopping in front of her. "I'm just really nervous. I mean, what if she hates me after this. What if this isn't what she wants. I don't want her to feel pressured, it's not good for the baby." He said, quickly. "Dillon!" Maxie yelled, putting her hands on his shoulders. "Calm down," she told him slowly. "everything is going to be fine." "What if she hates me after this though?" He asked quietly. "Dillon, my sister could never hate you. I know that for a fact." She told him, looking right into his eyes. He nodded his head, trying his best to calm down. "Can you help me with this?" He asked, holding up his tie. "Sure," she said, helping him tie it the proper way. Once she was done, she took a few steps back, looking at him. "You look very handsome." She told him, smiling. "Thank you," he said, walking toward her and hugging her tightly. "for everything."
"Where's Dillon?" Georgie asked, standing in the middle of the living room. "He had to run out to the store for a few things, he said he'll be back shortly." Maxie told her. "Okay," Georgie said, nodding her head. She went to sit down on the couch, but Emily stopped her. "Hey," she said, gently grabbing her arm. "it's really beautiful out today, why don't we take a walk while Dillon's out?" "Sure," Georgie said, smiling. "that sounds like a great idea." Maxie winked at Emily, opening the door as her sister walked out onto the porch. She helped her walk down the few steps to the sidewalk, and they walked around the small house. "Thanks for taking me shopping today, Em." Georgie said, trying to make conversation. "I've been wanting to get a few more outfits for a while now, but Dillon's been so busy with work and I didn't want to bother Alexis." "It's fine, really. I'm glad you had fine." Emily told her. "Hey!" Maxie said, trying to sound hurt. "Next time, I'm taking you shopping." Georgie and Emily both laughed. "At the rate this little one is growing," she said, placing her hands on her belly. "I'll probably need to go shopping once every 2 weeks." Maxie laughed, as they continued walking.
"What's this?" Georgie asked, as they came to a small table with a box on it. "I don't know," Maxie said, looking over at Emily. "Why don't you open it." Emily told her. Georgie slowly opened the box, revealing the Ivory colored dress she had bought earlier that afternoon, along with a note that said, 'Wear Me.' She looked over at Emily, "Did you do this?" Emily shook her head. "Nope, not me." Georgie picked up the dress and continued walking. She only took a few steps before she noticed a pair of shoes. "Okay," she said, turning to face both her sister and Emily. "what is going on?" "I have no idea." Maxie said, looking around. "Me neither." Georgie turned back around, bending down to pick up the shoes. When she came back up, she was face-to-face with Dillon. "Hi baby," he said, smiling. He was dressed in a white dress shirt with a light blue tie, and black dress pants. "Dillon," she said, surprised. "what is going on?" "Um--Well", he sort of laughed. Georgie knew it was because he was nervous about something. And then Emily led Maxi away. "Come on. I know the perfect place in the mansion that has a great view of the fountain. We'll see everything." "Well,I have something I'd like to ask you." Dillon took her hand in his and then he suddenly went down on one knee. Georgie's breath caught in her throat.

Chapter 15
"You know how I have been thinking a lot about our future. And um--Well, I um--I would really really um--see I don't know if this is something you'd want. And--I am babbling." "Dillon..." she said with tears in her eyes, threatening to spill down at any moment. "Go on. Keep going", she coaxed him. And he found his words. "I want us to pledge our love to each other. I know that we have talked about it. And neither of us want to get married just because of the baby. We want to show everyone that we can be smart about this. And we don't want to rush into anything." He took a deep breath. "And I am sure you know that my every intentions involve making you my wife in the future, but not until we're both ready. What I want to do tonight." She squeezed his hands, coaxing him to go on. "Is pledge our love in front of God and each other. No one else, no audience, just...us. That is what I want anyway. I was hoping that um...you would want that too." "Oh, Dillon..." she breathed. "That is what I want. More than anything in this world."
Not ten minutes later, Georgie was walking up to the water fountain on the Quartemaine property. And she began to turn about, looking for him when suddenly he emerged from the bushes. "You look...just beautiful, Georgie", he told her. She blushed and turned once for him. "You like?" "Yes, I like very much. Come here, please." She did so. They were standing face to face as Dillon pulled out a small, white tulip. He stuck it behind her ear. And Georgie smiled. She pulled out her ponytail and let her hair fall around her face. Dillon was lost in her. She looked so beautiful. "Okay, I am ready Mr. Quartemaine."
Dillon closed his eyes, taking a deep breath before finally opening them again. "God..I love you so much." "I love you, too." She said, smiling brightly. He smiled back at her before finally saying the speech he had been planning out in his head for so long. "I can't even imagine my life before I met you. I can't imagine how I survived just walking around this world not knowing you were in it, just waiting to love me." By now, the tears were freely falling down Georgie's cheeks. "You, Georgie Jones, are my other half, without you I wouldn't be complete. I wouldn't be who I am today." "You mean everything to me, Georgie", he went on, but not before wiping away a tear falling down her cheek with his fingertips. "You are the only girl...woman that I have ever loved. And you're so great, Georgie...You're so great. You're amazing. I know that, I will always know that. You are everything I want, and everything I need, Georgie. I dream about you, I dream about you even when you're lying right there next me, I still dream. All that matters it that you're here with me. And you have to know, I have to make sure you know, that you will always have me. And that I will do anything for you, Georgie. I love you. I don't know how else to say it. I love you...so much, baby." With that, he lifted her hands and kissed her knuckles. Georgie wiped away her tears, smiling up at Dillon before begining her speech. "You've always been there for me. Taking my hand, pulling me back when things get too intense. Always helping me through the rough times. Giving me this baby that we're going to grow to love with everything we have. You're my place that's safe, you're the one constant in my life. Because of you, I laugh, I smile, I dare to dream." Emily and Maxi sat in the window, watching down at the couple, mesmerized with them. They were both bawling their eyes out. Dillon smiled, squeezing her hands a bit. "I'm not quite sure where I'll be in the future. But the one thing I do know is that wherever that is, I know that I want to wake up each morning and see you there in my arms. I want to see those incredible eyes, those beautiful eyes or yours. And I want to see you holding our son or daughter in your lap, reading silly little rhymes like Mother Goose." "Mother Goose?" she giggled. "Yes, Mother Goose. I want to be a part of all of that. And despite how it feels sometimes, I know that our life together is just beginning." Georgie took a deep breath and continued on after Dillon. "I wasn't quite sure how to deal with it all. My family, our baby. Everything that I wasn't sure of, you were. You gave me the strength to pull through. The only thing that I have ever known, ever wanted to know, is how I feel when I'm in your arms. That is all I will ever need, Dillon. Just you and me together, and our baby. I will be happy no matter what, as long as we have that. I love you so much, Dillon. So much", she breathed. He lifted up her hand, kissing it gently. "I look at you and I see my best friend," he said, smiling brightly. "you give me purpose when I feel I have none." He sighed, fighting back the tears that were threatening to fall down his cheeks at any given moment. "I thank God everyday that you were brought into my life." "Oh God, Dillon," she said, running her now free hands up his back. "I love you. I love you so, so much." "I love you, too." He said, putting his hands on her face, and finally kissing her passionately. Once the kiss ended, Georgie looked up at Dillon, a content smile spread across her lips. "Everything about this is so incredibly perfect. Thank you so much." "It's not over yet," he told her, reaching behind him to press play on a little boom box he had set up earlier that afternoon.
I swear by the moon and the stars in the sky and I swear like the shadow that's by your side
"Would you like to dance with me?" He asked, already holding her body close to his. "I would love to." She smiled, wrapping her arms around his neck.
I see the questions in your eyes I know what's waiting on your mind you can be sure I know my part 'cause I stand beside you through the years you'll only cry those happy tears and though I make mistakes I'll never break your heart
"Oh goodness," Maxie cried, covering her mouth as if they could hear her. "how romantic is this!" "I know," Emily replied, wiping her tear stained cheeks. "it's hard to believe he's really a Quartermaine." Maxie giggled. "I guess watching all of those classic movies really paid off in the end, huh?" "Yeah," Emily said, as she continued to look out the window, down at her cousin and Georgie, who were swaying back and forth to the soft music. "I guess they did."
I'll give you every thing I can I'll build your dreams with these two hands
Georgie never felt happier than she did that moment, right there in Dillon's arms. She was protected, she was safe, and she was in love.
We'll hang some memories on the wall And when (and when) just the two of us are there You won't have to ask if I still care Cause as the time changes the page My love won't ever age at all
Dillon rested his chin on Georgie's shoulder, thinking about all the promises he made to Georgie. He would keep every single one of them. And then he thought about that first kiss at Kelly's, and then their first true kiss at Georgie's house, and then the first time they made love. He blushed.
And I swear (I swear) by the moon And the stars in the sky I'll be there (I'll be there) I swear (and I swear) like the shadow that's by your side I'll be there (I'll be there) for better or worse Till death do us part I'll love you With every single beat of my heart and I swear
Dillon tightened his embrace and Georgie smiled. She did the same. She wanted to feel close with him. The promises they had made to each other overwhelmed her whole body. She never felt more alive.
And I swear (I swear) by the moon I swear (and I swear) like the shadow that's by your side I'll be there (I'll be there) for better or worse (better or worse) till death do us part I'll love you with every single beat of my heart I swear I swear I swear

Chapter 16
"Dillon! Hurry up! We're going to be late!" Georgie rushed about the house, trying to get Dillon out of the shower. "I'm dressing! Just a few more minutes!" "You take a longer shower than most girls!" she teased. She grabbed her purse and he was out of the bathroom, standing in the doorway. "I can't help it. I have a feminine side that you don't know about", he told her, buttoning his shirt. Georgie's heart did flip-flops as she watched him button up. And suddenly she went to him, her purse around her wrist she began to button his flannel up for him. Dillon was just watching her silently. And then he gently lay his forehead against hers. When she was through, he took her hands in his. Bringing them to his lips, he kissed them. And then she was kissing his lips, raised up on her tiptoes. After several moments, he pulled back. "Okay Georgie. We have to go. We'll be late", he said his breath a little ragged, not believing that he did that. "Okay", she said, hanging her head and grabbing onto his hand. "Can I be honest?" he asked. "Of course", she told him as he helped her with her jacket. "I'm nervous, scared out of my mind. I've never been to one of these things before." "Don't worry, babe. You'll be fine. We'll all do fine. It's just Lamaze."
Dillon and Georgie stepped into the little room that quite frankly looked like a classroom. "I feel like I am back in high school", he whispered to her, his arm about her waist. And suddenly, an older woman turned with a smile on her face. But she was the only one smiling. The rest of the circle consisted of a man and a woman, the man sitting behind each woman with a slightly expanded belly, and every single couple was looking at them as if they shouldn't be there. "Hello. You two must be Dillon and Georgie", she extended an arm and shook each one of their hands. "Welcome. And I am Lindsay." She turned to the circle. "Everyone, please welcome Dillon and Georgie." They heard a few mumbled hellos. "Won't you please have a seat? And then we'll get started." "Okay," Georgie said quietly as Dillon led her to an empty spot on the floor, helping her sit down. He sat behind her and she leaned her head against his chest as Lindsay began talking to everyone. "First, I'm going to play a video," Lindsay explained, walking over to the television and putting a tape in the VCR. "It shows you exactly what happens during the birthing process." Dillon wrapped his arms around Georgie's waist, resting his hands on her belly. She quickly turned her head to look up at him and smiled, putting her hands on top of his and turning her attention back to the Lamaze coach. "Okay, pay close attention and if you have any questions at all, please save them for after the video." Lindsay said, pressing play and quickly shutting the lights off. Georgie saw a happy, beautiful woman, resting her hands on her very oversized belly explain what was going on. "This is our very first child, and we are so excited about it all. I am just a little overwhelmed what is going to go on these next 24 hours. I'm a bit scared but I know that in the end, it will be all worth it", she grabbed onto the man's hand. Dillon watched the man comfort his wife as he pushed her wheelchair into the birthing room. He admired the guy already, he wanted to be like that for Georgie, her strength and her shoulder to cry on. About ten minutes later, the woman was preparing to push, she was taking in deep breaths and letting them go. She had been in labor for 22 hours. Georgie was glued to the small television. And then suddenly the doctor told her that they were ready. The man wiped her perspiring forehead with a cloth. The camera lens did not need to be cleaned at all. The vision was perfectly clear. Dillon saw the baby entering the world, something that was supposed to be the most beautiful thing, and he knew it was. But right now all he could think about was the freakiness of it all. "Oh my..." "Shh", Georgie hushed him, trying not to laugh at his reaction. "Oh my..." and then the baby's head entered the world. "Oh come on!" Lindsay looked over to a very embarrassed Dillon. "Dillon, are you okay?" "Um...How? How...how is that um...happening?" "Well, this is the most beautiful thing in the world. I will try to answer all your questions as soon as it's over. Would you like some water in the meantime? You look a little faint." "I'll be fine", he said in a high pitched tone, as the body made it's little trip.
"Honey, are you sure you're alright?" Dillon asked as he and Georgie walked into the house. "Did that video scare you?" "No," she replied quickly, trying to get her jacket off. Dillon helped her, and hung it up on the hook as she turned the radio on, then sat down on the couch. "Then what is it?" He asked, sitting down next to her. Georgie's eyes began to fill with tears, as she looked at him. "Did you see the way those couples were looking at us when we walked into that class today?" She asked, her tone harsh, even though she didn't mean for it to be. "It made me feel horrible!" "Georgie," Dillon said, putting his hands on her face. "don't worry about those people, baby. All that matters is that we're happy, don't let them bring you down." Georgie nodded her head, resting it on Dillon's shoulder. A few minutes later, she spoke up. "Hey Dillon?" "What is it, honey?" He asked, smoothing her hair. "Do you ever wish you could just turn back time? Be normal teenagers again, like Maxie and Kyle." She asked, running her fingers down his chest. He gently helped her sit up straight so that they were facing each other. "Do you really mean that?" "As much as I love this little one," she said, placing her hands on her belly. "I can't help but feel that way sometimes." "Hey," he said, getting her attention back, he grabbed her hands, resting their hands on her belly. "don't feel sorry for feeling that way. I know it's hard not to, and it's hard to admit that's how you feel sometimes, but believe me, I feel like that sometimes, too." "Really?" she asked, her eyes watering just a bit, so relieved that she was not the only one who felt this way. "Really", his hands ran through her hair, pulling her close and kissing the tip of her nose. The radio announcer came on. "And we'll send this request to all you young lovers out there." It's hard for me to say the things I want to say sometimes "I feel like I can say anything to you, and you won't hold it against me, or think any less of me for it", she told him, her fingertips grazing his jaw, causing shivers down Dillon's spine.
There's no one here but you and me And that broken old street light
And when her fingertips went just above his chin and touched his lips, he began kissing them, gently nibbling on her forefinger. "Come here", he whispered. And he guided her onto his lap. He wanted to be alone with her, close with her.
Lock the doors We'll leave the world outside All I've got to give to you Are these five words when I
He began kissing her neck, and then he nibbled on her ear. And then when Georgie had to get out of the situation before she lost all train of thought, she gently stood, and took Dillon's hands in hers. "Come on", she whispered. "I want to dance with you." Dillon eagerly obeyed.
Thank you for loving me For being my eyes When I couldn't see For parting my lips When I couldn't breathe Thank you for loving me Thank you for loving me
Leaning against him for support, her head rested against him and Dillon took one hand in his, gently but firmly clasping it in his, and one arm went around her waist. His chin rested on his.
I never knew I had a dream Until that dream was you When I look into your eyes The sky's a different blue Cross my heart I wear no disguise If I tried, you'd make believe That you believed my lies
Her forehead nudged Dillon's cheek, and she could detect the slightest hint of stubble. She loved it when she was this close to him.
Thank you for loving me For being my eyes When I couldn't see For parting my lips When I couldn't breathe
Dillon suddenly forgot how to breathe when she began nibbling on his neck, causing the fine hairs on the back of his neck to stand on end.
Thank you for loving me Thank you for loving me He never wanted her to stop touching him. You pick me up when I fall down You ring the bell before they count me out If I was drowning you would part the sea And risk your own life to rescue me
"I love you, Dillon", she whispered softly in his ear.
Lock the doors We'll leave the world outside All I've got to give to you Are these five words when I
"I love you too, Georgie."
Thank you for loving me For being my eyes When I couldn't see For parting my lips When I couldn't breathe Thank you for loving me Thank you for loving me When I couldn't fly
Oh, you gave me wings You parted my lips When I couldn't breathe Thank you for loving me Thank you for loving me Thank you for loving me, For loving me
And by the time the song ended, Dillon and Georgie were kissing.

Chapter 17
Georgie lay on her stomach with a big bowl of popcorn that Dillon had just made for her. She lay in their room, watching MTV videos. And suddenly, John Mayor appeared.
We got the afternoon You got this room for two
And Dillon was there. He carefully climbed over her, kissing the place where her neck met her shoulder, only to collapse on the other side of her. "Whatcha watching, babe?" he asked.
One thing I've left to do Discover me Discovering you
"MTV music videos", she mumbled. His hand slid up her arm and he made his way to her neck. "Is that right?" he whispered.
One mile to every inch of Your skin like porcelain
And Dillon gently rolled her over so that she was facing him. He ran his hands over her body, savoring each part of her.
One pair of candy lips and Your bubblegum tongue
He inclined his head, wanting a kiss, but Georgie wouldn't have it. "Nope", she whispered, crossing her arms over her chest and looking the other way.
And if you want love We'll make it Swimming a deep sea Of blankets Take all your big plans And break 'em This is bound to be a while
She was still not moving. "Georgie, Don't make me tickle the hell out of you." She began to weaken. "You wouldn't..." "Wouldn't I?" "Dillon...no!"
Your body Is a wonderland Your body is a wonder (I'll use my hands) Your body Is a wonderland
Georgie quickly jumped up, pushing her hair out of her face as she crawled up to the pillows, leaning her head against the head board. Dillon followed her, a smirk on his face. "Dillon, please don't." Georgie warned him as he got closer and closer to her. "Seriously, I'm not joking."
Something 'bout the way your hair falls in your face I love the shape you take when crawling towards the pillowcase
He kneeled in front of her as he started to sing along with the song.
You tell me where to go and Though I might leave to find it I'll never let your head hit the bed Without my hand behind it
"Oh my goodness," Georgie giggled as she watched him sing. Gently, he wrapped his arms around her waist, lowering her body so that she was laying back down, her hair spread out across the pillow cases.
You want love? We'll make it Swimming a deep sea Of blankets Take all your big plans And break 'em This is bound to be a while
Dillon watched her with a content smile on his face. He reached over his head and pulled the sheet over their bodies so that they were both covered and beneath the baby-blue satin material. Georgie was laughing so hard! And then suddenly as their eyes met again, she noticed how intently he was staring at her. And slowly, he inclined his head. But Georgie wasn't having it. She stopped their lips from connecting. Instead, her hands lifted his shirt just a bit and climbed his bare back, gently nibbling on his neck.
Your body Is a wonderland Your body is a wonder (I'll use my hands) Your body Is a wonderland
Dillon's hands went all around her body, trying to get her to grant him access to her mouth. Damn baby You frustrate me But she wasn't having it.
I know you're mine all mine all mine But you look so good it hurts sometimes
He fought for her lips beneath their sheets. Dillon about groaned, for he wanted to attack her lips more than anything at that moment.
Your body Is a wonderland Your body is a wonder (I'll use my hands) Your body Is a wonderland Your body is a wonderland
And finally, his lips were on hers. And she was granting him access to all of her.

Chapter 18
Later that night, Georgie hadn't been feeling to well, so Dillon suggested her getting a hot bath to calm her down. And it worked...for awhile. She stepped into their bedroom, drying her hair and taking her side of the bed. Dillon watched TV, with his hands behind his head. He smiled up at Georgie. "Feeling better, baby?" he asked, pulling her to rest against chest. "Yes, much. Just a little tired." "Okay", he reached for the remote. "No, no. It's okay. You can keep it on." "Are you sure, honey?" "I'm sure. Just hold me." Ten minutes later, Dillon heard Georgie moan in her sleep. He smiled as he watched her. And then she rolled over as if she wanted to escape him. Dillon frowned, for Georgie always said that she slept better when she was in his arms. What Georgie was trying to escape was her nightmare. "Okay, Georgie. I want you to push one more time. Just give me one more push", the doctor pressed. And Georgie obeyed, with Dillon at her side holding her hand. "And we've got a little boy! Congratulations, you two." The baby was wrapped in a blanket and the doctor handed it to Georgie. But when he did, there was only a blanket in her arms. "But...where is our baby?" And suddenly the smiles on everyone's faces disappeared and were replaced with sadness. "Georgie...I am sorry. But we lost your baby. You suffered a mis..." "No! The baby was in your arms! I saw our baby's face, Dillon!!! Dillon!" "Dillon!" And he reached over, gently but firmly shaking her. "Georgie, come on baby. Wake up. You're having a nightmare. Come on, wake up honey." With a start, Georgie's eyes flew open. And her eyes went wide as she realized that it had only been a nightmare. She immediately brought her hands to her belly, and sighed a breath of relief when she felt that is was still expanded. She came to rest against Dillon. "Shh...You're safe, baby. You're okay now. I promise." "Dillon..." And then he realized that she was crying. "Georgie, are you all right? Come on, talk to me." "Dillon, out baby was gone. I...I had a miscarriage." And suddenly Dillon realized how serious it had been. And how much he wanted this baby. The mere thought of the possibility scared him to death. And his eyes glazed over. "It was a dream, Georgie. You and the baby are safe now. I won't let anything happen. I promise you that." Dillon took her in his arms and began to soothe her as he softly began to hum. "I'm so scared Dillon. It felt so vivid and intense," she was about to go on, but his humming was hypnotizing. It made her feel safe and protected. It was comforting. "Dillon?" she asked. "What, love?" "Sing to me." "Sing? I sound like a foghorn, babe. You know that." "Yeah, right. Please, Dillon? Your voice is so comforting. Especially when you're playing too", she told him, referring to his guitar. Dillon blushed a bit, kissed her forehead, and sat up a bit in bed. He took his arm away from beneath her shoulders where she lay and reached for his guitar. "Are you sure about this?" he asked. "My voice is a bit out of whack." "Shut up and sing, Quartemaine", she teased. He stuck his tongue out at her and began to play, rolling his eyes, teasing her. He couldn't believe he was going to sing. He hadn't since high school. "See?" he asked, hitting a bad note with the guitar. "Go on", she coaxed him. He sighed. "I would only do this for you. What song would you like to hear, babe?" "Hmm. That one song that I told you I liked. And then you surprised me with by singing it for me in your room at the Quartemaines. Remember, remember?" she asked, getting a bit excited. A smile spread across Dillon's face and he began to play with the strings. When he got the feel of the strings once again, his eyes never left Georgie's.
Looking at the pages of my life Faded memories of me and you Mistakes you know I've made a few I took some shots and fell from time to time Baby, you were there to pull me through We've been around the block a time or two I'm gonna lay it on the line Ask me how we've come this far The answer's written in my eyes
[Chorus:] Every time I look at you, baby, I see something new That takes me higher than before and makes me want you more I don't wanna sleep tonight, dreamin's just a waste of time When I look at what my life's been comin' to I'm all about lovin' you
I've lived, I've loved, I've lost, I've paid some dues, baby We've been to hell and back again Through it all you're always my best friend For all the words I didn't say and all the things I didn't do
Tonight I'm gonna find a way
[Chorus:] Every time I look at you, baby, I see something new That takes me higher than before and makes me want you more I don't wanna sleep tonight, dreamin's just a waste of time When I look at what my life's been comin' to I'm all about lovin' you
You can take this world away You're everything I am Just read the lines upon my face I'm all about lovin' you
The solo he'd been worried about. He wasn't sure he could still play it just right. But his eyes still never left Georgie's as he played what began to come natural to him. Suddenly it wasn't about singing or playing right. It was about loving Georgie, and showing her how much.
[Chorus:] Every time I look at you, baby, I see something new That takes me higher than before and makes me want you more I don't wanna sleep tonight, dreamin's just a waste of time When I look at what my life's been comin' to I'm all about lovin' you
All about lovin' you
He sat down the guitar on the side of the bed and watched a smiling Georgie. She pulled him back down beside her and took his hand, placing it on her stomach. "The baby is asleep", she told him. He kissed her belly and then he took her body in his arms. "I'm so tired", she mumbled. "Just sleep, baby. Sleep." And he felt her heartbeat calm as she relaxed in his arms. "Goodnight, love", he whispered.

Chapter 19
Dillon was packing the picnic basket while Georgie changed clothes. He made sure to get everything in there that he wanted, being sure not to leave anything out. This was Dillon and Georgie's day, and they were going to live it up. He pulled up the handle and closed it just as Georgie walked out of their room in a cute little maternity outfit, gray spandeck shorts with a pink shirt. The belly of it went out and there was a tie around the back so that the fabric hugged her tummy. "Hey you", he kissed her forehead. "You look...nice." "Thank you", she blushed. "See, I know that I don't fit into this thing yet, but I just loved it when Em and I picked it out. I just want to start wearing it early." "Well you look great, honey." She snuggled against his arm and then he grabbed the picnic basket.
They arrived at the park and Georgie helped him spread out the blanket. There was no one there, and that's what Dillon loved most about it. He lay down on his side and Georgie maneuvered herself down beside him. "So, what do we have to eat, babe? I'm starving." "Well why don't you check it out?" Dillon watched as Georgie eagerly went through the basket. "Punch...Sandwiches...Chips...Napkins, forks, and spoons. You've gotten everything right, Mr. Quartemaine. And what is in this little Tupperware thingy?" Dillon immediately hid it from her. "You find that out when we're finished with this food. It's a surprise." "Surprise? Oh, come on Dillon! You know how impatient I am. I can't handle surprises." "Well, you're just going to have to keep your pretty little nose out of this until you're finished." He kissed the tip of her nose and then she stuck her tongue out at him.
For the next twenty minutes, they lay on the blanket eating their lunch. Dillon lay on his side and Georgie on her back. But then when she had just barely finished her sandwich, Dillon pulled her over beside him and began to kiss her senseless. Pushing back her hair from her forehead, his tongue plunged inside the caverns of her mouth. And Georgie eagerly welcomed him, tightly wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him down across the top of her body. And then Dillon began planting tiny kisses on her neck. Georgie thought she would scream out right then and there. But suddenly Dillon pulled away and went back for the picnic basket. "Dillon, are you trying to torture me?" Dillon chuckled as he got out the same Tupperware Georgie had looked at from before. "No, honey. Not torture." He pulled off the lid and Georgie saw that it was her favorite dessert. "Dillon, chocolate covered strawberries!!!" "Yep" Dillon grabbed one and lay back down beside her. Teasing her, he ran the strawberry along her lips. And then he kissed her lips, getting the slightest taste of chocolate. He brought the dessert back to her lips again and allowed her to lick it, but quickly bringing her back along her lips. "You like this don't you?" she whispered. "Uh huh", he murmured, mesmerized with her actions. And then finally, he let her bite into the strawberry and then he too, took a bite. By the time they were up to their last strawberry, the chocolate was dripping off of it. So Dillon let the chocolate drip onto GeorgieĆ¢'s neck and then proceeded to lick it off. "Oh, Dillon. You can't. You can't do this to me" "Who says?" he mumbled. "Dillon, We have to...We have to stop until we get back home." "Okay", he pulled back his heard beating a mile a minute. But he collapsed on her chest to catch his breath.
Ten minutes later, Dillon was fumbling with the locked house door with one hand. He was kissing her mouth hard. His other hand was wrapped snugly around Georgie's waist, keeping her in a standing position against his chest. When he got her inside the door, he kicked it shut and immediately began leading her to the couch. And when he got her there, one hand went to the back of the couch to support his weight and the other led Georgie gently onto the black leather sofa. Georgie felt the coolness fabric beneath her back and Dillon's fingertips brush the few strands of her hair that had landed on her forehead. And she pulled him by the collar and down on top of her. Dillon's hand traveled up her waist and on top of the fabric of her shirt. And when his palm reached her breast, she cried out. Hearing this made Dillon crazy as he continued to massage her firm breast with one hand while the other cupped her face. "Ouch, Dillon," Georgie cried again, this time she tried to push him off of her. Dillon opened his eyes, pulling his hands back. "Georgie, is something wrong? What hurts?" Georgie closed her eyes and sighed. "Honey, what's wrong? Did I hurt you?" He asked, panic rising in his voice as he sat up straight on the couch. "It's not your fault," she assured him, shaking her head. "What did I do? Honey, you need to tell me." Georgie gently ran her hand over her breast, looking up at him as she did. "I'm just really sore." A shocked expression crossed over his face as guilt overcame him. "Georgie, I am so sorry, I had no idea." He said, shaking his head. "No, no, it's okay." She said, reaching up and pulling him down beside her. She turned slightly so that she was facing him. "Like you said, you had no idea." Georgie saw that Dillon was upset that he had been the cause of any pain she felt. And as she watched him laying to the side of her, he didn't even realize that he was massaging her belly. She felt the urge to have his arms around her again. "But Dillon..." she whispered, her palm resting on his cheek. "Yeah?" he turned his glance her way. "What is it baby?" "I never said I wanted to stop." "But," Dillon stared. "What about how I hurt you?" "I'll show you what to do", she whispered. And she brought her lips to his, kissing him long and hard on the mouth. Dillon eagerly welcomed her, leaning a little more on top of her so that he could hold her against him. She pulled his shirt off and ran her fingertips gently across his bare chest. Dillon felt dizzy as he kissed her forehead. And then he began to kiss her again. Dillon's hands went to the edge of her shirt and slowly lifted it from her body. And as he kissed her everywhere and brought her body closer to his, Dillon's hands went around her back and unfastened her bra. Waiting for Georgie to keep her promise and show him what to do, his hands began to travel beneath the bra and around to her front. That's when Georgie took over. And taking his hand in hers, she finished bringing his around to her front, showing him exactly what she wanted him to do in a way that wouldn't hurt her at all. Dillon lay across her as Georgie's head rest on the pillow at the end of the couch. She was propped up against the end of the couch and Dillon was holding her around her waist. Georgie wanted to drive him crazy, she wanted to try something new. So she gave his lip what she thought was a gentle nibble, but turned out to be a little harder than intended. Dillon realized that Georgie had just bitten his bottom lip and he tried his hardest not to laugh, but he failed. He chuckled lightly and suddenly Georgie sprang apart from his embrace. "Are you okay?" he asked, his tone now serious with worry that he had hurt her once again. "No, I'm not okay. You laughed at me. You laughed at me while I was trying to be sexy. Well I'm sorry if I don't appeal to you anymore now that I'm pregnant with our baby!" She yelled, quickly standing up from her spot on the couch. She carefully kneeled down and picked up her shirt, holding it against her chest as she began to walk away from him. Dillon grabbed his shirt and stood up from the couch. "Georgie, what is wrong with you? One minute you're all over me and the next you're flipping out because I laughed at something I thought was funny!" He yelled back, obviously frustrated. Georgie quickly turned around to look at him. She went to say something, but stopped herself. Instead she shook her head and stormed out of the living room, slamming their bedroom door. Dillon sighed and plopped down onto the couch, running his hands through his hair.
