Chapter 30
“Congratulations you are the proud parents of a baby girl” The doctor said, holding the tiny baby in his arms. Georgie gasped at the sight of the little life right before her. She reached for Dillon’s hand. “Dillon, look at her” She said, her eyes tearing. “She’s beautiful. And so are you.” Dillon said, brushing her hair off her face and kissing her forehead. “Simply beautiful” Georgie closed her eyes and held onto Dillon’s arm as he kissed her forehead. “Here we go,” the doctor said, placing the tiny baby, now wrapped in a blanket, in Georgie’s arms. “Oh my God.” Georgie gasped, when she saw the little life that she and Dillon created. “She’s beautiful.” Dillon reached forward and brushed his thumb across the tiny baby’s forehead. “She sure is” He said with a proud smile. The little baby started crying. “Oh shh, shh” Georgie said, trying to calm the baby down. “It’s ok.” Just like that, the baby stopped fussing. “Oh my God, Dillon did you just see that?” Georgie said, surprised that she was actually able to calm the baby down. “Mmm-hmm” Dillon said. “I can’t believe she stopped crying” Georgie said. “See, you’re going to be just fine at this.” Dillon said with a smile “You want to hold her?” Georgie asked tearing her eyes off of the tiny baby in her arms. “Ok” Dillon said, nodding. Georgie lifted her arms up and Dillon grabbed the baby from underneath, supporting the baby’s head with his arm. “There we go baby girl.” Dillon said, taking the baby and smiling down at her. “You are a cute one, aren’t you? Just like your mommy.” He said, smiling at Georgie. Georgie wiped a tear from her eye when she saw Dillon with the baby in his arms. He looked cute as he made face to the baby, who was smiling up at him. Dillon’s eyes left the baby’s and went back to Georgie’s. He reached out a hand and took Georgie’s. “We’re going to be just fine.” Dillon said. Georgie smiled as she looked down at her hands. “Just fine” She said, looking up only to find Dillon and the baby gone. “Dillon?”
A door slammed and her eyes shot open. She rubbed her eyes trying to figure out where she was. “Dillon?” She called out, sitting up on the couch. She glanced down at her still very pregnant stomach. “It was just a dream.” She said to herself. “Dillon?” She called out again. There was no response. She stood up, wrapping a blanket around her, and walked toward the door. Just then it opened and Dillon walked inside. “Oh you’re up” Dillon said, as he shut the door. “Yeah.” Georgie said. “I’m up and very confused. Where did you go?” “I had to go get something.” Dillon said, taking off his coat and setting it down on a nearby chair. “What’s in the bag?” Georgie asked, motioning to the bag in his hand. “That’s the surprise” Dillon said with a smile. “Come here” he said, taking her hand in his and walking her back over to the couch. “Sit, please” Georgie carefully sat down. “You ready?” Dillon asked, sitting down next to her on the couch. “Mmm-hmm” Georgie said, turning to face him. “Ta-da!” Dillon said, pulling out a carton of cookie dough ice cream out of the bag. “Ooh cookie dough!” Georgie said, smiling. “My favorite.” “I know.” Dillon said, as he pulled out a spoon from the bag. Georgie opened the ice cream lid and looked at Dillon. “What only one spoon?” Georgie asked, noticing the spoon in his hand. “Yeah.” Dillon said, taking the ice cream container from her. “Guess they forgot yours.” He said, scooping up some ice cream on the spoon and putting it in his mouth. “Mmm…” “Hey!” Georgie said. “Oh I’m sorry did you want some?” Dillon asked, opening his eyes and looking at her. “Mmm-hmm” Georgie said, smiling as she nodded. “Well then, I guess we’re going to have to share.” Dillon said with a smile. “Even better” Dillon smiled. “Here you go,” he said, scooping up some ice cream on the spoon and holding it up in front of her. She smiled as she leaned forward and covered the spoon with her mouth. “Mmm.” Georgie said, as she ate the ice cream. “Taste good?” Dillon asked, watching her. “Mmm-hmm” She said, opening her eyes. “Can I have some more please?” Dillon smiled as he ate a spoonful. “Sure” Dillon said, after he swallowed the ice cream in his mouth. “Here you go” Dillon said, as he held up a spoonful. “Oh, it’s soo good” Georgie said, as she ate the ice cream “Yes, it is” Dillon said. “But you know what would taste even better?” “Hmm?” Georgie said, swallowing the ice cream. “Lay back,” Dillon instructed. “Dillon!” Georgie said, her eyes wide “Just trust me” Dillon said, smiling “Ok, but if you try to do what I think you’re going to do…” “Shh” Dillon said, as he followed her down on the couch. Georgie lay back against the pillows and smiled as Dillon hovered over her. “Ok, now move this blanket down.” Dillon instructed Georgie gave him a smile before lowering the blanket, so that the upper part, above her chest, showed. “Perfect” Dillon smiled. He took a spoonful of ice cream and dropped it on her warm skin. Georgie gasped. “Dillon, that’s cold!” “Shh” Dillon soothed. “Now as I was saying, you know what tastes better, is the ice cream…” he said, as he started to lick the ice cream off her body, “and you.” He said, as he finished. Georgie giggled. “You think you’re cute don’t you?” “Oh, I know I am” Dillon said, as he set the ice cream down on the floor and moved his lips over to hers. His mouth hovered over hers and his breath fell on his lips before he captured her lips with his. Georgie let out a small moan when she felt Dillon’s lips on hers. She could still taste the ice cream in his mouth. Dillon pulled back and looked down at Georgie. Georgie’s eyes were closed when she said, “Yummy”. “You like that?” Dillon asked Georgie opened her eyes and she smiled up at him. “I sure do.” She said, sitting up. “But you know what this means, don’t you?” “What?” Dillon asked, sitting back on his knees. Georgie reached for the ice cream carton on the floor with the spoon and looked back at him, smiling. “It’s your turn.”

Chapter 31 *NC-17*
The mirrors in the small bathroom were covered in steam. Dillon reached for the washcloth, running its soapy surface over the curve of Georgie's belly. Georgie leaned back against Dillon's chest and closed her eyes. "Mmm…" Georgie moaned, as Dillon continued to clean her belly. Dillon's lips found her neck and he started to kiss it as his hand continued to run across her belly. "You're gorgeous" Dillon murmured against her neck. Dillon moved his lips down her jawline, kissing his way to her lips. Georgie turned her body to face Dillon, her lips never leaving his. The hand that was on her belly was now around her shoulders, pulling her closer to him. When their lips broke apart, Georgie pulled back and smiled as she took the still soapy washcloth from Dillon's hand and started to run it up his chest, cleaning him. Georgie walked around to the back of Dillon. She trailed the washcloth to the back of him as she continued to clean his shoulders and back. After the hot water cleaned the soap off of Dillon's back, Georgie started to kiss his back, while her arms ran up and down his arms. Dillon turned around and took Georgie in his arms bringing her lips back to his. Georgie wrapped her arms around his neck drawing his lips closer to hers. Dillon ran his hands up and down her sides as he kissed her sensuously underneath the hot water. His lips left hers and moved over to her neck. "Mmm…" Georgie moaned, when she felt Dillon's lips on her neck. Dillon kissed his way down her body and ended up on her belly. Georgie's hands found their way into Dillon's hair as he started to place kisses all over her belly. The water beat down on them, almost baptismally. Dillon was on his knees in front of Georgie, his lips trailing over the swell of her stomach, across her hips and over her thighs. "Mmmmmm...." she moaned, her eyes closed, as he sucked the water off her skin. Hot water pouring over his head, Dillon kissed Georgie's inner thigh, moving slightly to run his tongue along her most intimate of areas, stimulating the overwrought nerves there. "Dillon!" she screamed, her back arching as she gripped his hair more tightly. He glanced up at her. Her eyes were closed, her head rolling back into the spray of the shower. Her back was arched, causing her pregnant stomach and swollen breasts to be thrust forward. Dillon groaned loudly at the sight of her. He'd never seen something so beautiful, so erotic, so sexy, as Georgie standing naked above him, the water flowing over her, her body begging him wordlessly for more. He moved in toward her again. Dillon continued to pleasure her, his tongue moving in languid circles, causing Georgie to scream his name out loud once again. Georgie continued to grab onto Dillon's hair as she moved her body closer to Dillon's mouth. "Mmm…" Dillon moaned against her when he tasted more of her. "Oh God!" Georgie screamed out when she felt him moan against her body, the vibrations making her writhe in delicious torture. Dillon continued to pleasure Georgie in ways she had never experienced before. Georgie's body shook from all the sensations that flowed through her. Her breath quickened each time Dillon tasted more of her. She felt herself edging her peak. "Dillon, please don't stop!" Georgie groaned, when she felt herself get closer to the edge. Dillon continued to lap at Georgie's body, feeling her muscles contracting beneath his tongue. He reached up to steady her hips, his hands covering the shape of her soft curves. Loud moans escaped Georgie's throat as the rush of heat started at the apex of her thighs and coursed through her entire body. "Oh oh oh oh god Dillon, don't stop, ahhhhhhh god oh my god oh my god....oh god, yes right there oh don't stop oh Dillon....oh god...oh oh...oh god Dillon...yes oh god....DILLON....OHHHH... OHHH..... GOD,,,,DILLON...YES....GOD PLEASE...OH MY GOD...OHHHHHHHH..." Georgie's knees went weak as her orgasm wracked her body. Holding her up, Dillon continued to stimulate her until he felt her explode in pleasure. Easing her toward him, Dillon layed them down in the tub, cradling Georgie's shaking body against his. The water beating down on them, he kissed her forehead. "You okay baby?" he whispered. "Ohhhh..." she moaned, too weak to talk. Dillon just held her.
Dillon carefully scooped Georgie up in his arms and carried her out of the tub and into the bedroom. With the covers already thrown back, he gently laid her down and covered her naked body with the covers, her breathing still quick. Climbing in on the other side of the bed, he brought her over to rest on his chest. Dillon stared down at Georgie who had fallen asleep on his chest. He ran his fingers through her hair as he listened to her breathing slow. "Sweet dreams, my love" Dillon whispered before closing his eyes himself.

Chapter 32
A month had passed and Dillon had continued to work for Jax from an office building near where he and Georgie were hiding out. Jax arranged Dillon’s hours to be fairly reasonable, due to Georgie’s due date a few months away. Georgie, now 7 months pregnant, grew even more anxious as her due date was approaching. Georgie stood in her and Dillon’s bedroom, in front of a long mirror, looking at her reflection. Her eyes ran up and down her reflection in the mirror. She lifted up her shirt and stared at her big belly. Her hand ran across the curve of her belly. Turning to the side, she looked in the mirror and her eyes grew wide when she realized just how big she was becoming. Georgie got so lost in her thoughts that she didn’t even hear the front door open. Dillon walked into the quiet penthouse, carrying his briefcase in one hand. Shutting the door, he put his keys and briefcase on the desk that was by the door. “Georgie?” Dillon called out. There was no answer. Dillon headed up the stairs toward the bedroom. He softly knocked on the door before opening it. “Georgie?” He said, softly thinking she might be sleeping. He poked his head around the door and saw Georgie standing in front of the full-length mirror, with her shirt raised up. Her eyes were glued to the mirror, and he could see the reflection on her face in the mirror. “Georgie?” Dillon repeated again, this time catching her attention. She turned and looked at him, her hands still resting on her belly. “I’m fat.” She replied, flatly as she looked down at her belly. “What?” Dillon asked, walking toward her. “No baby, you’re not.” Georgie looked up and gave him a look. “Look at me. I’m huge” She said, motioning to her belly. Dillon stopped right next to her, looking from her belly to her eyes. “Baby, you’re absolutely beautiful” He said, as he touched her face with his hand. “Don’t touch me” Georgie said, pulling back. “You’re part of the reason I’m fat.” She said, before walking over to the bed and sitting down. Dillon looked at her confused, but then realized it was probably just another mood swing. He’d gotten used to them. Lately, it seemed like Georgie was having mood swings more and more. Ever since her first one, he’d learned to handle them whenever they showed up.
**Flashback** Georgie sat on the couch watching TV, with a plate of cookies resting on her belly. Dillon walked up to her and sat down next to her. He sat there watching the TV with her. He heard sniffling coming from her and turned to see that her eyes were tearing up as she stared at the screen. “Baby, what’s wrong?” Dillon asked, concerned “Look at that little boy with his mom” Georgie said, tears falling. “They look so happy together.” Dillon looked at the TV and saw a commercial for baby lotion. A confused Dillon looked from the TV back to Georgie, who was continuing to cry. “It’s a baby lotion commercial” Dillon stated Georgie turned and looked at him, her face shocked. “I cannot believe you just said that” She said, before getting up and stomping up the stairs. “Georgie?” Dillon asked, confused by what just took place. Just then his cell phone rang and he walked over to it and picked it up. “Uh, hello?” Dillon asked, distracted. “Dillon, its Jax,” Jax said on the other end. “Uh, oh hey.” Dillon said, his eyes still glued to the stairs. “Is everything ok?” Jax asked, noticing the distraction in his voice. “What? Oh, yeah I think so. Something weird just happened, that’s all” “Weird?” Jax asked. “What happened?” “Well one minute Georgie’s watching TV, and then the next she’s crying.” Dillon explained. “Crying? What happened?” Jax questioned. “I have no idea.” Dillon said. “It came out of nowhere. She just yelled at me and stormed up the stairs.” “Ah, I see, I don’t think you really have anything to worry about” Jax explained. “What are you talking about?” Dillon asked. “Let me make sure I have this straight, one minute Georgie’s smiling, watching TV, without a care in the world. And then the next minute she’s crying, yelling at you and storming out of the room?” Jax questioned “Yeah” Dillon responded. “Dillon, it sounds to me like Georgie’s starting to have mood swings.” Jax said “Mood swings?” Dillon questioned. “You’re kidding me, right?” “I’m afraid not, man” Jax said. “It’s perfectly normal. I went through the same thing with Brenda when she had Caleb.” “You mean Brenda had mood swings like this too?” Dillon asked. “She’d yell at you for like no apparent reason?” “Fraid so, buddy” Jax said. “But don’t worry, you’ll get used to it. Just remember it’s her hormones talking. Everything will be fine, once the baby is born.” “Oh, ok hormones…” Dillon said. “Thanks.” “No problem” Jax said. **End of Flashback**
Dillon glanced over at Georgie who sat on the bed staring off in the distance, trying to avoid eye contact with Dillon. He walked over to the bed and sits down across from her. “Georgie?” Dillon asked, trying to get her to look at him. Georgie didn’t turn her head, and kept her eyes glued to her spot on the wall. “Look at me, please?” Dillon pleaded. Georgie let out a frustrated sigh before turning her head to look at Dillon. “Georgie, you are the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.” Dillon said, smiling at her “Yeah, right. You’re just saying that” Georgie said, looking away again. “No.” Dillon said, bringing a hand up to her face and making her look at him. “I’m not.” Dillon finished his voice firm. “Georgie, you and I have created a little life together and you two,” he said, touching her stomach before continuing, “are my life.” Georgie mouth curled into a smile as her eyes started to water. She leaned forward to and kissed him softly on the lips. Dillon cupped her face in his hands, as he returned the kiss, their lips brushing against each other’s softly and tenderly. Pulling back, Dillon rested his forehead against hers for a second before pulling back and looking into her eyes, smiling. “You really think I’m beautiful?” Georgie said, her voice cracking as the tears started to fall. Dillon smiled. “Incredibly.” Georgie smiled at him, wiping the tears away as they continued to fall. “Come here.” Dillon said, gathering her in his arms and placing her on his lap, hugging her. Georgie wrapped her arms around his neck, hugging him back. “I love you” Georgie whispered in his ear. Dillon smiled. “I love you too, baby”. Georgie pulled back and took his face in her hands before lowering her lips to his and kissing him softly. Their lips broke apart and they stared into each other’s eyes and smiled. “Come on,” Dillon said, carefully placing Georgie on the bed as he laid back. His arms extended out and she smiled before lying down next to him and resting her head on his chest. “Just relax and get some sleep” Dillon said, his voice soft. “Mmm…” Georgie said, as her eyes drifted close. Dillon smiled down at her, running his fingers through his hair. His free hand reached over and rested on top of her stomach. “I love you, baby” He said softly. Georgie smiled after hearing this and brought a hand down to rest on top of his. Dillon laced his fingers with hers, closing his eyes and drifting off to sleep as well.

Chapter 33
“Dillon, hurry up!” Georgie yelled, as she put on her jacket. “I’m coming.” Dillon said, running down the stairs. “We’re going to be late” Georgie pointed out as she buttoned her coat. “Baby, we have an hour till our appointment. We’ll be fine.” Dillon said as he stopped next to her. “I know.” Georgie said, grabbing Dillon’s coat and starting to put it on him. “But I don’t want to be late” She finished, buttoning up his coat. Dillon smiled and laughed a little. “What’s so funny?” Georgie asked. “Oh, nothing” Dillon said, smiling. “What?” Georgie asked “Anybody ever tell you, that you are completely adorable when you’re frazzled?” Dillon asked “I’m not frazzled” Georgie said, turning to grab her purse. “Oh ok, fine you’re not,” Dillon said, stepping forward and wrapping his arms around her waist, pulling her to him. “I’m not,” Georgie said, resting her hands on his arms. “Mmm-hmm” Dillon said, smiling as he leaned down and covered her mouth with his. Seconds later, he pulled back and looked down at her. She looked up at him and said. “Well maybe a little,” with a smile. “You are too cute” Dillon chuckled. “Let’s go, we’ll take the scenic route.” He said, smiling as he took a hold of her hand. “Sounds perfect,” Georgie said, smiling back as they headed out of the penthouse.
Georgie and Dillon walked hand in hand down the busy sidewalk. “Ooh Dillon, look!” Georgie said, noticing something in the store window. “What?” Dillon asked, looking at what Georgie was looking at. Inside the store window, was a white lace hooded bassinet, with a sale sign sitting next to it. “Can we go look at it?” Georgie asked, smiling at him. Dillon glanced at his watch and saw they had 30 minutes till their appointment and were only a few miles from the hospital. “Sure.” He replied with a smile. “Oh yay!” Georgie said, getting excited and grabbing his hand and walking inside the store, Dillon following. Georgie ran straight to the window and admired the bassinet. “Oh, this is so adorable and would be absolutely perfect, don’t you think?” Georgie asked “It is nice.” Dillon said. “Can I help you with anything?” A salesclerk said, walking up. “No, we’re just looking thanks,” Dillon said. “Ok, my name is Jenny, just let me know if you guys need any help.” She said, before walking away. “Will do, thanks,” Dillon said. Dillon turned his attention back to Georgie, who was still admiring the bassinet. “Dillon, can’t you just picture our baby in this?” She said, touching the lace on the hood. “Let’s get it?” Dillon said. Georgie looked at him. “Oh we can’t afford it” Georgie said. “How much is…,” Dillon said, looking at the ticket, “Oh, we could manage that if you really want it,” He said, smiling at her. “Not with the baby coming so soon. We need to use that money for hospital expenses and everything.” Georgie said. “Oh yeah.” Dillon said. “We could figure out a…” “Baby, it’s ok.” Georgie interrupted. “I don’t need it right now. We can wait.” Dillon smiled at her. “You sure?” “Positive” Georgie said, smiling before she reached up and gave him a kiss on the cheek. “Ok then” Dillon said. “Ok. Well we better get going, or we’re going to be late” Georgie said, as she started toward the door. “I’ll meet you out there in a sec” Dillon said “What? Why?” Georgie said, stopping and turning to face him. “Just stay with Max and I’ll be right out. I have to make a pit stop” “Oh, ok” Georgie said, smiling. “I’ll meet you outside then.” “Ok.” Dillon said, as he watched Georgie walk out and meet Max by the door. Dillon turned and headed to the back of the store.
“Georgie Jones?” The nurse called out. Georgie and Dillon both stood up at the same time and headed toward the nurse. “The doctor will be with you shortly,” the nurse said, heading out of the room. “Thank you.” Dillon said. The nurse nodded as she closed the door. “So are we going to find out?” Georgie asked. “What? The sex?” Dillon asked. “Mmm-hmm” Georgie nodded. “Well, I don’t know” Dillon said, “Do you want to know?” “Well I…” Georgie started, but was cut off when the doctor entered the room. “Hello Georgie, how are we doing today?” The doctor asked. “Good,” Georgie said, smiling as her and Dillon turned to face her. “Good. Would you please climb up on the table and lay back?” The doctor instructed. Georgie, with a little help from Dillon, climbed onto the table and laid back. The doctor wheeled up the sonogram machine and a stool and sat down next to Georgie. “Ok, lift up your shirt.” The doctor instructed Georgie lifted her shirt up to reveal her pregnant belly. The doctor went to put some gel on her stomach. “Wait is that going to hurt her?” Dillon questioned. “No, baby. It tickles,” Georgie said, as the doctor put the gel on her belly. “Oh, cold.” She said, feeling the cold gel on her warm skin. Dillon reached for Georgie’s hand and held it in his, Georgie turned to look at him and smiled. The doctor took the device and ran it over the gel on Georgie’s belly, trying to find a picture of the baby. Both Georgie and Dillon continued to get lost in each other’s eyes as the doctor searched for a picture. “And here we are,” the doctor said, snapping Georgie and Dillon out of their trance. They both looked at the screen on the machine and saw the baby moving on the screen. “Oh my God,” Georgie said, her free hand covering her mouth. “There’s the skull, the eyes, nose and mouth,” the doctor said, pointing out the features on the screen to Dillon and Georgie. “Wow,” Dillon said, looking at the picture on the screen. “It looks like everything is normal. The baby is in a good birthing position and appears to be very healthy.” The doctor said. A smile crept onto Dillon and Georgie’s faces. The doctor wiped the gel off Georgie’s belly. Georgie lowered her shirt to cover her belly as she carefully sat up. “Ok, let’s take a picture of your baby and you’ll be on your way.” The doctor said, standing up. “Oh, would you like to know the sex of your baby?” The doctor asked. Georgie and Dillon both looked at each other. “It’s up to you,” Dillon said, smiling at her. Georgie smiled up at him and then looked back at the doctor. “Yes.” The doctor looked down at the pages in front of her and she looked up and smiled. “Congratulations you’re having a girl.” She said, before turning to walk out of the room. Georgie’s eyes automatically started to water. She turned to face Dillon, whose face was practically glowing. “We’re having a baby girl” Georgie said, her voice filled with happiness. “We’re having a girl.” Dillon said, smiling down at her. Georgie reached out and wrapped her arms around Dillon’s neck, pulling him to her, hugging him. Dillon wrapped his arms around her waist and hugged her back, his eyes tearing a little as well. “This calls for a celebration” Dillon said, pulling back with a smile on his face. Georgie wiped the tears from her eyes. “What did you have in mind?” “A night full of surprises” Dillon said, helping her down off the table. “Sounds perfect,” Georgie said, smiling up at him. “God, I love you.” Dillon smiled. “I love you too,” he said, before leaning down and kissing her softly on the lips. When Georgie felt his lips on hers she let out a small moan, before she wrapped her arms around his neck and deepened the kiss. “Ahem” A voice said, breaking them out of their trance. Both Dillon and Georgie turned and saw the doctor standing on the other side of the table, smiling at them. “I think that’s what got you here in the first place” She teased with a smile. Both Georgie and Dillon smiled at her comment. “Well, here you go,” she said, giving them the sonogram picture.” Georgie took it. “Georgie, I’ll need to see you again in about 6 weeks for a checkup just to make sure everything continues to progress nicely.” She said. “Sure thing, doctor.” Georgie said with a smile. The doctor nodded before saying, “I’ll leave you two alone. And congratulations” “Thank you doctor,” Georgie said, watching as she walked out of the room. “You’re welcome,” she said, before closing the door. Georgie held up the picture in front of her up to the light, and stared at it. Dillon looked behind her at the picture, a smile still on his face. “There she is, Dillon.” Georgie sighed. “Our little girl.” Dillon wrapped his arms around Georgie’s waist from behind and his lips nuzzled her neck. “She’s beautiful, baby,” he murmured into her neck. “Just like her mommy.” Georgie smiled as she leaned back against Dillon smiling, feeling on top of the world.

Chapter 34
“Today has been absolutely perfect,” Georgie sighed, as her and Dillon walked back into their penthouse. Dillon smiled at how carefree and happy she was. He remembered back when she first found out she was pregnant, she was scared to death. Now, it seemed she was the complete opposite. When she talked about the baby, her face just lit up and it made Dillon happier than ever. Georgie walked over to the couch and sat down, still clenching the sonogram picture in her hands. “I can’t stop looking at her.” She said, with a smile. Dillon smiled as he walked over to the couch and sat down next to her, pulling Georgie against him. She cuddled against him, staring at the picture. Dillon took the picture from her and held it up and looked at it again, his face beaming. “Have you thought of any names?” Dillon asked “Oh, man have I,” Georgie said, sitting up and turning to face him. “You?” “Of course.” He said, with a smile “What did you have in mind?” Georgie questioned. “Well, one name stands out in my mind. Grace, named after the classic actress, Grace Kelly. And then, there’s Audrey, after Audrey Hepburn.” Dillon continued. Georgie chuckled. “I’m noticing a pattern developing here” “Well, what did you have in mind?” Dillon asked “Well, I was thinking maybe Sarah, or Stephanie, or Danielle.” Georgie named off. “Those are nice, too. But I for one am more partial to Grace. Very pretty name.” Dillon said “Yeah, I like Grace too,” Georgie said, thinking about it. “But we have time to decide that. Right now, I just want to relish in the fact that we are having a baby, and she is healthy, and perfect in every way.” She beamed “I am so happy and you made me that way. You are the only person in my life who I’ve ever truly loved and will always love.” Dillon said. “Me too.” Georgie said. “I mean, you make me happier than I thought I could ever be in my life” Dillon sat there and looked at Georgie, and his heart just filled up with an enormous amount of love for her. More than he ever thought he’d experience in a lifetime. Before he met Georgie, when he pictured his future in his mind, he had no clue what was ahead. But now, with Georgie in his life, he can see his future as clear as day. His future was her. “Hey, I’ll be back in a little bit,” Dillon said, standing up “What? Where are you going?” Georgie asked, confused “I’m going to get us some dinner so we can celebrate.” Dillon said, with a smile. Georgie smiled back at him as she stood up and walked over to him. Dillon put on his coat as she walked up to him. “Hurry back. I’ll miss you.” She said “I’ll be as quick as I can” Dillon said, touching the side of her face. Georgie brought a hand up and covered his with hers as she leaned her head into his hand. Dillon smiled down at her and gave her a quick kiss before walking out. Once Dillon was gone, Georgie headed upstairs to slip into something a little more comfortable, for her and Dillon’s special night.
Dillon headed inside the penthouse. “Georgie?” He called out. Georgie headed down the stairs, dressed in a black and white maternity dress that fell to her feet. Dillon’s breath caught in his throat when he saw her. “You look amazing,” Dillon said “Why, thank you,” Georgie said, smiling as she walked toward him. “So where’s dinner?” “Oh it’ll be here shortly,” Dillon said. “What did you get?” “Patience” Dillon said. “You’ll see” There was a knock at the door. “There it is,” Dillon said, walking over to the door and opening it. Their bodyguard, Max, rolled in a food cart into the room. “Thank you, Max” Dillon said Max nodded and headed back out of the room. “What is it?” Georgie asked, curious. “Now, now,” Dillon said, taking her hand. “Come with me.” He said, leading her to the dining room table and pulling out her chair. “Sit my dear.” Georgie smiled at him. “Why, thank you,” she said, sitting. Dillon pushed her chair in carefully as she sat down. He walked over to the food cart and rolled it over toward the dining room table. He took a plate off the cart and set it in front of her. “And voila!” Dillon said, taking the cover off her plate to reveal a plate of spaghetti. “Ooh spaghetti, I love it,” Georgie said “I know.” Dillon said, with a smile as he took the cover back over to the cart and grabbed his plate, setting it down in his spot. He pulled off the cover to reveal the same thing. “It looks delicious,” Georgie said “Yes, it does.” Dillon said, sitting down in his spot. Reaching for the bottle in the ice bucket, Dillon poured Georgie a glass of sparkling water and him a glass of wine. “Here you go,” he said, handing her a glass. “Thank you,” Georgie said, taking the glass from his hand. “You’re welcome.” Dillon said. “Now I’d like to make a toast.” Georgie held up her glass, waiting for him to continue. “To Georgie, the love of my life. Thank you for making each day better than the last. For showing me just what true love is, for giving me a little baby girl on the way. And for just being you. I love you more than anything in this world, and I always will. To my beautiful Georgie, cheers,” Dillon toasted “Dillon, that was beautiful,” Georgie said, as their glasses hit against each other’s. They both took a drink, before Georgie motioned for Dillon to lean over toward her. He did so, and Georgie placed a small kiss on his lips. “I love you too,” She whispered. Dillon smiled as he sat back. “So let’s eat” “Ok,” Georgie said. “I’m starving and this looks great!” “I hope you enjoy,” Dillon said, picking up his fork “I’m sure I will enjoy every minute, because I’m with you.” Georgie said, smiling at him as she picked up her fork.
Once Dillon and Georgie finished eating, they were staring at each other from across the table, their hands laced together. “You are so beautiful,” Dillon murmured. Georgie blushed. “Thank you.” Dillon smiled at her. “God, could this day get any better? I mean, first we find out we’re having a little baby girl and that she’s completely healthy, and then we come back here and have this great dinner. Spending time with you makes every moment worth it. I can’t think of anything that could make this night better.” Georgie breathed. “Well I can think of something,” Dillon said, with a twinkle in his eye as he got up. “What did you do?” Georgie questioned. Dillon pulled Georgie’s chair out a little before walking to the side of it and extending his hand to her. “Come here.” Georgie happily slid her hand into Dillon’s. He led her over to the door, stopping in front of it. “What’s going on?” Georgie questioned. “Open the door and find out,” Dillon said, with a smile on his face. Georgie walked over to the door and opened it. “Oh my God!” Georgie gasped, when she saw what was on the other side of the door.

Chapter 35
Georgie stepped out into the hall, a huge smile on her face. She walked up to the bassinet she was admiring earlier at the store. She touched the top of the bassinet, and was touched by the fact that Dillon bought it for her. “Dillon, you didn’t.” Georgie said, turning to look at Dillon. “Well, what does it look like?” Dillon said, as he leaned against the door frame smiling at her excitement, as she admired the bassinet. “But…but when?” Georgie asked. “We have been together all day” “I have my ways,” Dillon smirked. Georgie smiled at him before turning her attention back to the bassinet. “God, this is so beautiful. She’s going to look so perfect inside here.” Georgie sighed, touching the inside of the bassinet. “I can’t believe you did this.” She said, turning her attention back to Dillon. “Georgie, you should know by now that I would do anything for you, I’d give you the world if I could.” Dillon smiled. Georgie smiled as she walked toward him. “You already have.” She said, before wrapping her arms around him and hugging him. “And so much more,” she murmured against his neck. “Mmm…” Dillon sighed, when he felt her hot breath against his neck. Georgie smiled at his response. Pulling back she looked him in the eyes, smiling. Dillon stared right back into her eyes. Releasing one of his arms from around her waist, he brought his hand up to her face and pushed a strand of her hair behind her ear. “You are so beautiful. God, I’m so lucky to have you in my life.” He said, grabbing one of hands and lacing his fingers with hers. “Both of you,” Dillon said, bringing their interlaced hands to rest on top of her round belly. “I love you.” Georgie breathed. Dillon smiled at her. “I love you, too.” Georgie smiled as she leaned forward and captured his lips with hers, their lips softly massaging against each other’s. “Mmm…” Georgie moaned against his lips as his tongue coaxed its way into her mouth and brushed against hers. Their arms found their way around each other’s bodies as the kiss deepened. Pulling back, Georgie rested her forehead against his, her breath quick. “Let’s go upstairs,” Georgie breathed. Dillon didn’t respond, his lips just found hers again, kissing her senseless. He led her back inside the penthouse, his lips not leaving hers as he did so. His lips finally broke from hers when he turned his head and looked over his shoulder to Max. Georgie’s lips found his neck and started to suck on the skin there. “Max, you know what to do.” Dillon said. Max nodded. Dillon shut the door behind him. Georgie’s fingers had already started to work on Dillon’s shirt. Her lips went from his neck and kissed their way down his bare chest. “Oh God…” Dillon groaned with pleasure when he felt Georgie’s lips on his bare chest. Not being able to take it anymore, Dillon took Georgie’s face in his hands and brought her lips back up to his, kissing her senseless. “Mmm…” Georgie moaned into his mouth as her arms wrapped around his neck. “God I want you.” She moaned once Dillon’s lips moved over to her neck and traveled to her throat. Georgie’s head fell back as Dillon continued to suck on her skin. “God, you taste so good,” Dillon said, as he continued to kiss her skin. He ran his hands underneath her shirt and started to push it up. His lips left her throat as his hands pushed her shirt up and over her head. Dillon dropped her shirt on the floor, grabbed her hands and intertwined his fingers with hers. Dillon knelt down in front of her, and started planting kisses all over her round belly. Georgie closed her eyes as she felt herself start to get more and more hot from Dillon’s lips on her body. Releasing one of his hands, she brought it to Dillon’s hair and started to run her hands through his hair, as his lips continued to kiss her skin. Dillon’s free hand rested alongside her round belly before making its way around to the small of her back, as he started to stand up slowly. His lips traveled up to her waist, before ending up in the valley of her breasts. Releasing her other hand, his hands moved up her back, causing Georgie to get chills flowing through her body. His lips moved to one of her breasts and started to suck gently. “Oh, my God” Georgie moaned, her eyes falling shut. Her hands moved to the back of his head pressing his lips closer to her body, as she arched her body forward, hinting she wanted more. Dillon noticed this and was just as hot for her as she was for him, and he wanted to feel her against his skin. With his lips still on her, he took his shirt off and dropped it to the floor. His hands found their way to her pants as he started to push them down, while his mouth moved over to her other breast and started to suck on the skin there. Georgie’s head was spinning from the sensations that were flowing through her body. Just the touch of Dillon’s tongue against her body made Georgie tingle all over. She stepped out of her pants while Dillon braced her body as she did so. Finally pulling his lips off her body he looked into her smoky eyes. He wanted her so bad. His eyes traveled down the length of her body, getting turned on by the sight of her pregnant body. He needed her. He wanted her right there. Georgie stared at Dillon’s half naked body, her breath quick and filled with desire. With her eyes locked with his, her hands moved down his bare chest and ended up on his jeans. She unbuttoned them and slid the zipper down before pushing them to the floor. Dillon stepped out of the jeans before taking a step forward and kissing Georgie. An arm wrapped around her back, as the other went down to the crease in her knees. Bending down slightly, Dillon carefully picked Georgie up in his arms. His lips broke from hers and he stared into her eyes. “Dillon…” Georgie breathed. That was all Dillon needed to hear. His lips found hers again as he started to head toward the stairs. When he reached the stairs, her lips went to his neck as he carefully walked up the stairs, trying so hard to concentrate on his steps, so as to not miss one. With Georgie’s lips now on his neck, he tried his hardest to get up the steps as fast as he could.
“Ok, one more push” the doctor said. Dillon stirred awake at the sound of this. He looked up to see the light from the tv shining on Georgie’s face. Her eyes were glued to the screen. “Baby?” Dillon asked, breaking Georgie out of her trance. “Oh, I’m sorry” Georgie said, turning to look at him, “Did I wake you?” “Don’t worry about it.” Dillon said, starting to sit up. “What are you watching?” He asked, looking from her to the tv to see a picture of a girl in a delivery room. “Oh it’s this show called ‘A Baby’s Story’.” Georgie said. “Oh whoa!” Dillon said, when he saw the doctor use utensils behind a blue sheet as he worked on getting the baby out. “What?” Georgie asked. “How does a little life come out of something so small?” Dillon asked, his nose crinkled at the thought. “Little lives have been coming out of things that small for a long time.” Georgie pointed out. “Ouch.” Dillon said, at the thought of it. Georgie looked at him shocked. “Is that so disgusting?” “What, I…” “No, is a woman giving birth to a little life that disgusting for you to watch? I mean, God forbid you’d want to see your daughter being born.” “Georgie I didn’t say…” Dillon started “No, you know what?” Georgie said, throwing back the covers and grabbing her robe and putting it on. “Maybe you shouldn’t even be in the delivery room then. Because I wouldn’t want to gross you out with the birth of your daughter and everything,” Georgie said, starting for the door. “Georgie, wait a minute. I never said that I didn’t want to…” “You may not have come right out and said it Dillon, but I could tell by the tone in your voice. But that’s ok. I’ll do it by myself. With no help from you.” Georgie said, before walking out of the room. Dillon let out a sigh when the door slammed shut.

Chapter 36
“Georgie, wait,” Dillon said, opening the door, expecting to see Georgie on the other side and surprised when he didn’t. “Georgie?” He called out. Dillon started searching the hall trying to find Georgie. He noticed the door to the nursery cracked opened and he headed toward it. He knocked softly on the door before starting to walk in. He found her sitting in a rocking chair in the corner running her hands across her stomach and tears falling down her face. “Baby,” Dillon said, as he headed toward her and knelt in front of her. Georgie didn’t respond. Her eyes just remained glued to her stomach as her hands continued to run along the curve of her stomach. “Georgie?” Dillon said, touching one of hands with his, causing her to look up at him. “I’m sorry.” Dillon said. Georgie still didn’t respond as he eyes fell back down to her stomach. “There is no place I’d rather be then right by your side through this.” Dillon said. “That’s where I’ve always wanted to be; right by your side. Forever.” He said, lacing his fingers with hers. Georgie looked back up at him. “I love you baby. There is no way I’d let you go through this alone,” Dillon said. “And as for wanting to see my baby girl being born? I can’t think of anything better.” “Dillon, I’m sorry. I know you would be there…” “I am going to be there.” Dillon corrected. Georgie’s lips curled into a smile as she nodded her head. “Hey, come here.” Dillon said, standing up and pulling her up from the chair. He sat down on the chair and pulled her down onto his lap. She rested her head on his shoulder as he began to rock back and forth as she curled against his body. “Now, I want you to listen to me, ok?” Dillon asked. He felt Georgie nod against his body, before he continued. “I love you and this baby so much that I wouldn’t miss a single second of our beautiful baby girl being born. Now I know what I said in there may have made you question…” “It didn’t.” Georgie cut in. She sat back and looked Dillon in the eyes. “I know you didn’t mean it the way I took it in there. I guess my hormones are raging and you know…” Dillon nodded. “And I love you so much.” Georgie continued. “I mean, just knowing that a life that we created together is growing inside of me makes me love you even more. I love this baby so much right now and she’s not even born yet.” Dillon smiled. “Me too.” “I can’t wait until we can finally share a life together as one big happy family.” Georgie smiled. “Me either.” Dillon said. Georgie smiled before she leaned back against Dillon. He started to rock back and forth in the rocking chair. Seconds later, he felt warm drops of water on his chest. “Georgie?” Dillon asked, trying to look at her face. He noticed she was crying. “Hey, what’s wrong?” He asked, lifting her chin up, getting her to look at him. Georgie shook her head. “Nothing,” she sniffed. “Obviously something has got you upset.” Dillon said. “It’s just…when I think of a big happy family, I can’t help but picture us, with our baby girl…and Maxie, my mom and even Mac. I can’t stand the idea of starting our new lives without them being a part of it.” “I understand.” Dillon said, grabbing her hand. “I feel the same way when it comes to Ned and Emily. I can see what you mean about your mom and Maxie, but Mac…Georgie he’s never going to be able to get past seeing me as anything but a guy that is out to destroy your life.” “But Dillon, he’s my dad.” Georgie said. Dillon nodded. “And I know that Mac hasn’t particularly been fond of you since we started dating, but…” “And especially when he found out I got you pregnant.” Dillon interrupted. “But…I truly believe that when he sees us with our baby daughter, he will change his ways. He will see just how much you care about me. And even if he doesn’t, I’d still like him to meet his granddaughter and be a part of her life.” Dillon nodded. “I understand. We’ll figure something out, ok?” Georgie nodded. “Just know this, even if Mac never accepts me as a part of your life, that doesn’t mean that I’m going to spend the rest of my life trying to make him accept me. You and our daughter are the two most important people in my life and I’m not going to focus my energy on trying to get someone’s approval that I may never get.” “Will you at least try? For me?” Georgie asked “Of course, I’ll try but I don’t think it will do any good.” Dillon said “Don’t be so sure about that.” Georgie said. “Georgie he hates me. He has from day one” Dillon pointed out. “I know but that was before,” Georgie said. “Before what?” Dillon asked. “Before he saw you with a baby,” Georgie said. Dillon’s eyebrow rose up. “Babies can do wonders for improving a person’s view of someone else. A baby brings out the tenderness in a person. And I can almost guarantee that Mac will accept you when he sees just how great you’ll be with our baby girl.” “You think I will be?” Dillon questioned. “Oh, without a doubt” Georgie said with a smile. “I guess it’s worth a shot,” Dillon said “He’ll cave. I know it.” Georgie said with a smile. “I mean, how could he not? Once he sees how happy we all are, he’ll have no choice but to give you a chance.” “I love you.” Dillon said, smiling at her determination. Georgie smiled back. “I love you more.” Dillon leaned forward and kissed her softly on the lips before pulling her into his arms for a hug. “Let’s go to bed, yeah?” Dillon asked Georgie sat back on his lap, and looked at him before nodding her head. Dillon smiled back at her before taking her in his arms and carrying her back into the bedroom. He gently set her down on the bed and covered her with the covers. He walked around to the other side of the bed and got under the covers. Scooting over toward her, he draped his hand across her round belly and took her hand in his. He rested his head gently alongside hers. Both smiling as they fell asleep in each other’s arms.
Georgie was awakened the next morning by the ringing of the telephone. She glanced over at Dillon who was fast asleep on his stomach with his head facing her. She smiled at him before reaching for the phone. “Hello?” She said softly into the phone, as not to wake Dillon. “Georgie?” The voice on the other end said “Yes, this is her” Georgie said “Hey, Georgie its Brenda” “Hi,” Georgie said, trying to sit up a little. “Do you and Dillon have any plans today?” Brenda asked “Not that I know of, why?” Georgie asked. “Well I was kinda hoping we could go out and do some shopping.” Brenda said. Georgie smiled at the thought of hanging out with Brenda. Ever since Dillon started working for Jax, Brenda and Georgie had gotten to be close friends. “Oh, shopping I’d love that.” Georgie said. “Great!” Brenda said. “Jax has some work to do with Dillon, I think, so I’ll have Caleb with me.” “Ok.” Georgie said. “You know, watching you with him, has made me hope that I can be as good a mother as you are.” “Oh you’re going to be a great mother and Dillon is going to be a great daddy.” Brenda said, with a smile. “Thanks,” Georgie said. “You’re welcome.” Brenda said. “Well, listen I better let you go. Jax is about to wake up. I’ll give you a call before I leave.” “Sounds great” Georgie said. “Talk to you then.” “You got it.” Brenda said. “Bye” “Bye” Georgie said, hanging up the phone. Georgie threw the covers back and started to get out of bed. “Where are you going?” Dillon asked when he felt her start to get up. “Oh, I’m just going to jump in the shower” Georgie said, standing up. “Ok.” Dillon said, closing his eyes and falling back asleep.
Georgie got out of the shower and walked into the bedroom, with a robe wrapped around her and her hair up in a towel. Dillon was just getting up. “You’re still not up yet?” Georgie said, before she walked over to the dresser. “I’m getting up now,” Dillon said, sitting up. After throwing the towel her hair was wrapped in on the floor, she picked up her hair brush and started brushing through her wet hair. “So do you have to work today?” Georgie asked, turning to face him. “Yeah, I have to be at the office at noon,” Dillon said, as he walked up to Georgie, smiling at her. “What is that look for?” Georgie asked, after noticing his smile. Dillon gave her a look. “Dillon…no!” Georgie said, realizing what his look meant. “What?” Dillon asked, pretending to play stupid as he continued to walk toward her. “I know what you’re thinking. No, better yet I can tell what you’re thinking, and I can’t.” Georgie said, backing up right into her dresser. Dillon continued to walk forward, and Georgie had no place to go. “Come on, just for a little bit?” Dillon pouted. “I can’t.” Georgie said, trying so hard to resist his pout. “Why not?” Dillon said, boxing her in by putting his hands on the dresser on both sides of her. “Because…” Georgie started. “Because?” Dillon asked. “That’s your response?” He said, inching closer to her face. “Yes.” Georgie said as he heart pounded. “Because why?” Dillon asked as his lips made their way to her neck. Georgie closed her eyes when she felt his lips on her neck. “Dillon, please” Georgie pleaded. “Tell me to stop,” Dillon said, in between kisses. After moving her robe to expose her shoulder, his lips found her soft spot. He started to kiss it, causing Georgie to giggle. “Dillon, that tickles!” Georgie giggled. Dillon didn’t stop he just kept kissing it, running his warm tongue against her skin. “I have…I have to go” Georgie stumbled. “No, you don’t.” Dillon said against her skin. “Yes…I…” Georgie trailed off when Dillon’s lips found hers. Dillon pulled back seconds later, and looked into her eyes. “You are unbelievable you know that?” Georgie asked “Thank you,” Dillon said, smiling. “Now come here.” He said, starting to lean in again. This time Georgie put her hand out on his chest to stop him from coming any closer to her. “Nuh-uh, Dillon, really I can’t do this right now.” Georgie said. “I have to get dressed…” “But…” Dillon started “And you have to get ready for work,” Georgie interjected. “But Georgie…” Dillon whined. “Oh, stop it,” Georgie said, with a smile. “Go get ready for work.” “Later?” Dillon asked. Georgie looked at him and couldn’t help but smile. “Maybe. If you’re a good boy,” Georgie said. “As opposed to…,” Dillon said, his eyebrows arched. Georgie laughed. “Go take a shower,” she said, pushing him toward the bathroom. “Fine,” Dillon said, walking into the bathroom and shutting the door. Georgie turned her attention back to the mirror as she finished brushing her hair. She got dressed and headed downstairs to make herself and Dillon something to eat before Dillon left for work.
Dillon headed down the steps and didn’t see Georgie anywhere. “Georgie?” Dillon called out. “Yeah?” Georgie said, as she walked into the room. “There you are,” Dillon said with a smile. “You look very handsome,” Georgie said, admiring Dillon’s outfit. He was wearing a nice suit and looked very sophisticated. “Well thank you. And you look amazing, as usual,” Dillon commented. Georgie was wearing a yellow sundress with spaghetti straps that came down to her knees. “You like?” Georgie asked, turning around. Dillon nodded as he walked up to her and gave her a kiss on the lips before hugging her. “So you have any plans for today?” Dillon asked as he pulled back. “Yeah, I’m actually going to go shopping with Brenda.” Georgie said. “And you have your cell phone right?” Dillon asked. “Yes, I have my cell.” Georgie said, used to Dillon’s protectiveness. “And you will call me if…” Dillon started “Yes, I will call you if something happens,” Georgie finished. “But I’m telling you I’ll be fine.” “I’m sorry.” Dillon said. “I can’t help but be concerned, you know? I just don’t want anything to happen.” “Don’t worry. Nothing bad is going to happen” Georgie said. “Just go to work. I’ll be fine.” “But just in case…” “Go,” Georgie said, grabbing Dillon by the arm and walking toward the door. She opened the door and gently pushed him out into the hall. “You’re going to be late.” Dillon knew he wasn’t going to win, so he just gave in. “All right fine. I love you.” Georgie smiled. “I love you, too. Have a great day.” “You too,” Dillon said, before leaning forward and giving her a quick kiss on the lips. “Bye.” “Bye,” Georgie said, with a smile as she closed the door.

Chapter 37
“Brenda!” Jax called as he walked down the steps and started toward the door of their huge penthouse. “Brenda, I’m leaving!” He said as he picked up his cell phone on the desk near the door and stuck it in his pants pocket. Brenda walked into the room with 3 year old Caleb on her right hip. “There’s daddy,” Brenda said with a smile as she headed toward Jax. Jax turned around at the sound of Brenda’s voice and smiled when he saw her with Caleb. “There’s my big guy,” Jax said, reaching for Caleb and taking him in his arms. “So what time do you think you’ll be home tonight?” Brenda asked. “I’m not sure,” Jax said, throwing Caleb up in the air. Caleb giggled as Jax threw him up. “Ok, well the reason I asked is because…” Brenda started. “Hold on buddy,” Jax said to Caleb, before walking around the room with Caleb above his head. “Look, mommy I’m flying,” Caleb laughed as Jax continued to “fly” him across the room. “I see,” Brenda laughed. “Faster, daddy, faster,” Caleb yelled. Jax continued to “fly” Caleb around the room, Caleb laughing the whole time. “Uh, Jax do you think you’ll be home for dinner?” Brenda said as she tried to get Jax attention again. Jax, however, didn’t hear her and ended up in front of Brenda. “All right, all done,” Jax said, bringing Caleb back down in his arms. “No, daddy more!” Caleb yelled. “Daddy has to go to work,” Jax said. “No I wanna fly,” Caleb said. “Come here baby boy,” Brenda said as she took Caleb from Jax. “Mommy, no!” Caleb yelled, “I want to fly with daddy!” “Later, honey,” Brenda said, giving Caleb a look. “Hmph,” Caleb grunted crossing his arms across his chest and pouted at Brenda. “Hey buddy, how about you and me go to the park tomorrow and play on the jungle gym?” Jax asked Caleb. “Yay!” Caleb said, smiling as he clapped his hands in excitement. “Yeah and maybe mommy will push you on the swings.” Jax said. Caleb turned to Brenda with an excited look on his face. “Will you mommy?” “Hmm…” Brenda said, pretending to think about it. “Well I don’t know.” “Ok come on mommy,” Jax said, taking another step toward Caleb and leaning his face down so that it was level with Caleb’s. “Please?” He said, pouting his lips. Caleb looked at Jax and mimicked what he did. “Oh not the lip,” Brenda said. “Now how could I say no to those faces?” She laughed “Please mommy?” Caleb said, leaning forward and kissing Brenda on the cheek real quick. Brenda laughed. “Aww thank you,” She said, smiling at Caleb. “That kiss will get you a push on the swings.” “Yay!” Caleb cheered. “So what does daddy want?” Brenda asked, looking over at Jax with a smile on her face. “Mmm…” Jax said, smiling at Brenda as he started leaning in. Their lips met in a kiss. “Eww kissies,” Caleb said, covering his eyes as Brenda and Jax kissed, causing them to slowly break apart and look at him. “Eww, huh?” Brenda asked him, before leaning forward and giving him kisses on his cheeks. “Mommy!” Caleb said, trying to pull away. Brenda pulled back and looked at Caleb. “You don’t like mommy’s kisses?” She asked, pretending to be hurt. Caleb didn’t say anything he just crossed his arms across his chest and looked away. “Aw buddy look you hurt mommy’s feelings.” Jax said, motioning to Brenda who had a fake look of hurt on her face. Caleb looked at Jax with a questionable face. “Mommy’s gonna cry.” Jax continued. Caleb looked at Brenda but still didn’t move. Brenda pretended to cry, teasing Caleb. “Aw mommy’s crying,” Jax pointed out. “Give mommy a kiss.” Caleb leaned forward and gave Brenda a kiss on the cheek. “Aww thank you,” Brenda said smiling. “I love you.” “Luv you,” Caleb mumbled. “Hey you know what?” Brenda said, “We are going shopping with Auntie Georgie today.” “We are!” Caleb said, getting excited. “Mmm-hmm,” Brenda said, nodding. “Yay! I like Auntie Georgie,” Caleb said. “Uncle Dillon, too?” “No, no Uncle Dillon and daddy have to work today.” Brenda said. “But maybe we can see Uncle Dillon another time, ok?” “Ok.” Caleb said, nodding. “Ok.” Brenda said. “Now why don’t you go get your shoes and bring them down and mommy will put them on you, ok?” Caleb nodded. “Say bye to daddy,” Brenda said, turning Caleb, so he faced Jax. “Bye daddy!” Caleb said, holding out his arms to Jax. Jax took him from Brenda’s arms and gave him a hug. “Bye buddy, I’ll see you later.” Jax said as Caleb pulled back in his arms. He gave him a kiss on the forehead before putting him on the ground. Caleb ran toward the stairs and quickly walked up them. “So you and Georgie are going shopping?” Jax asked. “Yeah, I thought she’d like to go get some more maternity clothes as well as some more stuff for the baby.” Brenda said. Just then the phone rang and Jax picked it up. “Yeah?” Jax said into the phone. “Yeah, yeah Dillon I’m walking out the door now. What?” He said, looking at Brenda. “Yeah, don’t worry about it. Yeah, it’ll be fine I got it covered. Ok, see ya in a few.” He said, hanging up the phone. “What’s going on?” Brenda asked. “Oh, that was Dillon. He’s already waiting for me at the office I have to go.” Jax said. “Is everything ok?” Brenda asked. “Yeah everything is fine.” Jax said as he put on his suit jacket. “I have to get going. Be careful today, and tell Georgie I said hi.” “Will do,” Brenda said with a smile. “I love you,” Jax said as he leaned forward and gave her a kiss on the lips. Brenda returned the kiss. “Mmm…” She said against his lips. They broke apart. “I love you, too.” “Bye.” Jax said, before he headed out of the penthouse. “Bye.” Brenda said. Just then Caleb came down the stairs and headed and ran around the couch. ”Mommy, I got my shoes,” Caleb yelled as he sat down on the couch. Brenda walked over to him and sat next to him on the couch and took his shoes from him. “Ok give mommy your foot.” Brenda said. Caleb turned to face Brenda, giving her one of his feet. Brenda reached for his shoes and she put his shoes on. “All right, I think we’re all set to go. You ready?” Brenda asked Caleb. “Yeah!” Caleb said, standing up. “Let’s go see Auntie Georgie!” He said, taking off for the door and into the hallway. Brenda followed him to the door, grabbing her keys and purse on the way out.
Georgie sat on the couch, watching TV when there was a knock at the door. “Come in,” Georgie called from the couch, not wanting to get up and suspecting it was Brenda. Max walked in and before he could say anything Caleb darted past him. “Auntie Georgie!” Caleb yelled, running toward Georgie. “Hey you!” Georgie said, smiling at the little boy running toward her. She flipped off the TV just as Caleb reached her. “Oh.” Georgie said when Caleb’s arms flung around Georgie’s neck. “Be careful, sweetie.” Brenda said, walking up to them. Caleb pulled back slowly. “Hey Georgie.” “Hey.” Georgie said with a smile. “So sweetie, are you ready to go shopping with mommy and me?” She asked Caleb. Caleb smiled as he shook his head. “Yeah?” Georgie said. Caleb nodded. “You ready to go Georgie?” Brenda asked. “Yeah, I think so.” Georgie said, standing up and then walking over to the desk by the door and grabbing her purse and then her cell phone off the desk and holding it up to Brenda, “Dillon’s paranoia” Georgie said as she stuck the phone into her purse. “I know that paranoia all too much,” Brenda laughed as she walked toward Georgie. “Comes with the territory I guess.” Georgie laughed. “Yeah it does.” Brenda said, laughing as well. “Ok then I think I’m all set to go,” Georgie said, putting her purse on her shoulder. “Great,” Brenda smiled. “Caleb, honey let’s go.” She said turning to Caleb, who was playing with some toy figurines he had found in the car. “Ok mommy,” Caleb said, turning around with the toys in his hands, and running toward her and Georgie. “Let’s go.” Brenda said, turning back to face Georgie. “Ok,” Georgie said with a smile. “Let’s go kiddo.” She said, holding out her hand to him. Caleb smiled as he grabbed onto Georgie’s hand and followed her out of the penthouse, Brenda following as she shut the door behind her. “See you later Max,” Georgie said, as she passed by her and Dillon’s guard who was stationed at the door. “Wait, Miss Jones, does Mr. Quartermaine know you’re going out?” Max asked Georgie. Georgie stopped and turned to face Max. “Yes Max, he does and he’s already gave me the ‘stay safe’ lecture, so no need to repeat it.” She said with a smile. “Don’t worry Max, she’ll be fine.” Brenda said. “She’s gonna be with me all day.” “All right then Mrs. Jacks.” Max smiled at Brenda. Max always had a sweet spot for Brenda. “Great,” Brenda said, smiling. “You ladies have a nice day.” Max said. “Hi Max!” Caleb said. “Hey there, Caleb!” Max said smiling down at the little boy. “I’m going shopping with mommy and Auntie Georgie,” He said with such excitement in his voice. “Oh yeah?” Max said Caleb nodded. “Well you go and have a good time all right?” Max said. Caleb nodded. “Ok. Come on Auntie Georgie let’s go,” Caleb said, pulling Georgie toward the elevator. “I guess we’re going,” Georgie laughed, “See you later Max.” “Bye” Max waved as the three of them headed toward the elevator. “Have a great time.”
“No, no that’s not acceptable,” Dillon said into the phone just as Jax walked into the office. Dillon was no longer the computer person for Jax’s company. He was now basically Jax’s right hand man. He assisted Jax with the takeovers, and getting a few of his own as well. They had managed to takeover 4 big multi-million dollar companies in the past month, so Jax and Dillon were pretty much financially set. Jax set his coat over his chair in the double office he and Dillon shared. He walked up to Dillon and gave him a questioning look. Dillon noticed. “Please hold.” Dillon said into the phone before taking the phone off his ear and covering up the mouthpiece with his hand. “Not budging?” Jax asked “Not even a little,” Dillon said. “Let me handle this,” Jax said, motioning for the phone. Dillon handed Jax the phone. Jax held the phone against his shirt as he said “Isn’t there someone coming in today to apply for the new filing position?” Jax asked Dillon. ”Yeah,” Dillon nodded. “They’re actually due in pretty soon.” “Great.” Jax said. Just then the buzzer buzzed. “I got it.” Dillon said, heading for it. Jax turned his attention back to the phone in his hand. “Hello, yes this is Jasper Jacks. What seems to be the problem here?” “Yeah?” Dillon said, pushing the button. “Mr. Quartermaine, your 2:00 is here.” The secretary said. “Thank you Suzy, I’ll be right out.” Dillon said, pushing the button again. Dillon turned to Jax, who was off in arguing mode, trying to get the company to budge. Not wanting to interrupt, he headed out of the office. He glanced up and saw a young man, who was younger than Dillon, sitting down in the waiting area, reading a magazine. He stopped at Suzy’s desk, where she handed him a folder, and then pointed to the young man, waiting. “Uh, Mr. Jackson?” Dillon said, getting the young man’s attention. The young man looked up at Dillon, set the magazine down and headed over to him. “Hello,” Dillon said, extending his hand to the young man, as he approached him. The young man shook Dillon’s hand. “Hello.” “Right this way.” Dillon said as he headed to an empty office. Dillon stepped inside and stopped at the door as the young man walked in and remained standing. Dillon shut the door. “Go ahead and take a seat.” Dillon said, moving around to the other side of the desk. They both sat down. The young man nervously sat there as Dillon looked over the guy’s file. “So Alex…have you ever done any filing or logging of data at any of your other jobs?” Dillon asked, looking up from the Alex’s resume. “Uh, no sir, but I’m a fast learner.” Alex said. “Mmm-hmm, I see.” Dillon said Just then the phone rang. “Excuse me,” Dillon said to Alex before he picked up the phone. “Hello?” “Dillon, you busy?” Jax asked “Yeah I’m in the middle of an interview.” Dillon said. “Well finish it up now. I need you in here pronto.” Jax said. “Ok.” Dillon said. “Use your best judgment on the guy, if you think he will be able to do it, then go ahead and hire him.” Jax said “Got it,” Dillon said. “Bye.” Dillon turned his attention back to Alex. “Do you think you can file papers and enter very important data into a database?” “Yes.” Alex said, his voice sounding somewhat confident. “Great,” Dillon said, “Can you start Monday?” Alex’s face lit up. “Really?” He asked, shocked. Dillon nodded. “Uh…yeah, yeah sure.” Alex stumbled. “Great.” Dillon said, “I apologize for the abrupt end to this interview, but something has come up that I must deal with.” He said, standing up and moving around from the other side of the desk. “Oh, ok” Alex said, nodding his head as he stood up. Dillon opened the door. “Stop by the secretary’s desk and fill out some necessary paperwork and then we’ll see you on Monday.” Dillon said as he held out his hand to Alex. “Great!” Alex said smiling, “Thank you, sir.” Dillon nodded as he put a hand on Alex’s shoulder as he led him out of the office. With his hand still on Alex’s shoulder, Dillon led him to Suzy’s desk. “Suzy, this is Alex, he’s going to be taking over the empty filing position, please see that he fills out the correct paperwork.” Dillon told Suzy. “Ok, Mr Quartermaine.” Suzy said, nodding. “Thank you again, Mr. Quartermaine.” Alex said, turning to face Dillon and shaking his hand again. Dillon shook his hand and said, “You’re welcome,” Before turning and heading back into his office.

Chapter 38
“You ready to shop?” Brenda asked Georgie as she pushed Caleb’s stroller to a stop in front of a maternity store. “Brenda, is this really necessary? I mean, I only have 3 months left, and then these clothes will be useless.” Georgie said. “Yeah but until that time comes you are going to look great, not that you don’t already do. And besides, you deserve to splurge every once in a while.” Brenda said. “Yeah but…” Georgie started. “No buts,” Brenda cut in. “Now come on and let’s start shopping!” She said as she pushed Caleb’s stroller into the store. Georgie sighed before she followed Brenda inside. “Ok, so let me see what we have here.” Brenda said as she walked up to a circular rack and started browsing through the clothes. “You need something sexy, yet comfortable.” “Hey what about this?” Georgie asked, holding up a plain blue shirt that had a bow in the middle of it. “Nah, that’s too plain.” Brenda said, continuing to look through the rack. “Ah yes, here we go,” Brenda said, walking up to a shirt that caught her eye on another rack. Georgie went to the front of Caleb’s stroller and looked at Caleb. “You know your mommy is a shopping maniac.” Georgie mused at Caleb. Caleb looked at her and smiled. “Georgie come here and look at this!” Brenda called from a nearby rack. Georgie pushed Caleb’s stroller over to where Brenda was. “What do you think?” Brenda asked, holding up a black v-neck shirt with sleeves that came three quarters of the way down. The shirt had a ribbon that tied in the front and came right below the breast. “I like that.” Georgie said, taking the shirt from Brenda. “And what about these pants to go with it?” Brenda asked holding up a pair of black pants that flared out slightly below the knee. “Ooh I love those,” Georgie said with a smile as her eyes widened. “I do too. I think that this could be a dressy yet casual outfit. It’s perfect!” Brenda said, excited. “Yeah I think so too. I really like it. Should I try it on?” Georgie asked holding up the outfit against herself as she looked in the mirror. “Yes, but we must load you up with more than just one outfit,” Brenda said. “Let’s see what else we can find.” She said, taking off for another rack, as Georgie kept searching the rack.
“Ok, I think these should hold you for a while.” Brenda said, walking up to Georgie with an armload of clothes. “Whoa!” Georgie said. “You don’t waste time do you?” She laughed. “Nope” Brenda smiled. “Now let’s try these on. This is the part I love the most.” Georgie just laughed at how excited Brenda was. Georgie followed Brenda to the fitting room, pushing Caleb with her. “Ok, there you go,” Brenda said, hanging the clothes up in a room and walking out. “All right here goes nothing.” Georgie said smiling at Brenda before heading into the fitting room and shutting the door. “Now remember, I want to see everything.” Brenda said as she pulled up a chair next to Caleb’s stroller and sat down. “Ok.” Georgie said from the fitting room. “Mommy, I’m hungry.” Caleb said from his stroller. “Oh you are, huh?” Brenda asked. Caleb nodded. Brenda reached into the back of the stroller and pulled out some cookies she had put there. “Here you go, baby.” Brenda said, handing Caleb a cookie. Caleb took the cookie from Brenda. “What do you say?” Brenda asked. “Thank you!” Caleb said with a smile. Brenda smiled. “You’re welcome.” “Ok, I’ve got the first one on,” Georgie said from her room. “All right let’s see it.” Brenda said. Georgie opened the door and Georgie walked out. She had on short black skirt that came right above her knees, and a pink cardigan with ¾ sleeves and lace trim. “What do you think?” Georgie asked, slowly turning in a circle so Brenda could give her opinion. “I like it. It’s very nice and casual.” “I think so too.” Georgie said, turning and observing herself in the mirror inside the room. “Great then it’s decided, we’re getting that. Next one,” Brenda said, moving right along. “All right,” Georgie said, going back into the room and shutting the door. A few minutes later Georgie stepped out of the room dressed in a black knee-length dress. “Ooh I love that on you,” Brenda gushed. “You really think so?” Georgie asked, looking down at the dress and back up at Brenda. “Absolutely,” Brenda smiled. After about fifteen more minutes Georgie had tried on almost all the outfits Brenda had picked out and was on the last one. “Ok, last one,” Georgie said, opening the door. She was wearing a pink v-neck dress with a black ribbon that tied right under the breast. The rest of the dress came down in layers and had black polka dots on it. “I don’t think so,” Georgie said before Brenda could say anything. “Now wait, it’s not so bad.” Brenda said, lying. Georgie gave her a look. “Ok, you’re right. I don’t think so.” Brenda laughed Georgie nodded before turning and heading back in the room to change. “Here give me what you aren’t taking and I’ll bring them back while you change.” Brenda said. Georgie cracked the door and handed out the few pieces she wasn’t gonna take. Brenda took them and walked out of the fitting room, pushing Caleb’s stroller. As she was putting the items on the rack for clothes to go back, the perfect top caught her eye. “Oh my God,” Brenda said to herself as she headed over to the top. “This is perfect.” She said, picking up the top and admiring it on the hanger. “This’ll be my little surprise.” She said to herself, before quickly walking up to the register and purchasing the top for Georgie before she came back out. The girl behind the register gave her, her bag and Brenda shoved it in the back of Caleb’s stroller, just as Georgie was walking out of the fitting room. “All right, I think I’m all set,” Georgie said, walking up to Brenda. “Sounds great,” Brenda said with a smile. Georgie walked up to the register and set down the pile of clothes before reaching into her purse and pulling out her wallet. She paid for her purchase and her, Brenda and Caleb walked out of the store.
“Ah silence,” Dillon said as he rested his head on his desk after all the drama had died down. “Yeah really,” Jax said. “I was beginning to wonder if that company was ever gonna give.” “Yeah, well you didn’t really give them a choice when you threatened to put them out of business.” Dillon said “It worked didn’t it?” Jax said “Yeah thank God.” Dillon said. “I didn’t know how much more I could’ve taken from those people.” “It’s all part of the job.” Jax said. “You should know that by now.” “Oh I do, believe me.” Dillon said. “But it never seems to get less tiring.” “Arguing never does.” Jax laughed “Right,” Dillon laughed. “So how are things going with Georgie?” Jax asked, making conversation. “Good, good” Dillon nodded. “How are those mood swings?” Jax asked. “Is she still having them?” “Oh yeah,” Dillon said. “Once a day, at least.” “Ah, yes, I remember those days.” Jax said. “One minute she’s happy, the next she’s sad. She wants it, she doesn’t want it. I’m telling ya man…do you have any idea how many cold showers I’ve taken because she’s gotten me so…you know, and then she just stops it?” Dillon said “Oh you don’t have to tell me man, I’m well aware of that.” Jax laughed. “But there’s really not much you can do about it.” “So very true,” Dillon said. “Hey did you guys ever consider marriage?” Jax asked out of the blue. Dillon looked up at Jax. “Well, of course we have.” Dillon said. “All the time.” “Well what’s stopping you?” Jax asked. “I don’t know.” Dillon said. “Dillon she’s pregnant with your baby. How much longer were you planning on waiting?” Jax asked “I don’t want us to get married just because of the baby, I want us to get married because we both want to and it’s time.” “Dillon you love Georgie, right?” Jax asked “More than my life,” Dillon said. “Well it seems to me that you already love Georgie enough to marry her.” Jax pointed out. “Hey, don’t get me wrong, I’d marry Georgie tomorrow if she wanted me to.” Dillon said. “But?” Jax said. “But I don’t want to scare her.” Dillon said. “I mean she’s already pregnant and we’re still kinda young.” “Dillon, you and Georgie are 21, you are legal adults and yes, you are kinda young but it’s not like you guys are teenagers anymore.” Jax pointed out. “Yeah, I guess you’re right.” Dillon said. “Just something to think about, that’s all I’m saying. Jax said. “Believe me I’ve thought about it. And I can’t help but think about it every time I see Georgie.” Dillon said. “Her becoming my wife would mean everything to me.” “You can change it with one question.” Jax said “Yeah…one question, that could cause Georgie to be mine forever, or run away scared.” Dillon said, out loud.
Brenda and Georgie were walking the mall concourse, talking. “So how have you been feeling lately?” Brenda asked, making conversation. “All in all I think things have been pretty good. Dillon and I went in for a sonogram a couple weeks ago and the baby is doing great. She’s completely healthy.” Georgie said with a smile. “I still can’t believe you’re having a little girl.” Brenda smiled. “Yeah, I know me either.” Georgie said. “I bet Dillon can’t wait to be a daddy, huh?” Brenda said. “Oh God are you kidding me?” Georgie laughed. “When his daughter is born he is going to spoil her rotten I just know it.” Brenda laughed. “I swear he talks to my stomach every night telling her how much he can’t wait to hold her and how much he loves her.” “Aww that is so sweet” Brenda said, smiling. “Jax did that with Caleb too. He’s daddy’s little boy.” “You know, it’s true what they say, babies do change everything as well as everyone,” Georgie said. Brenda just nodded in agreement. “Grandma!!” Caleb yelled from the cart. Both Brenda and Georgie looked up and saw John and Jane Jacks coming toward them. “Hello sweetheart,” Jane said, bending down and giving Caleb a kiss on the cheek. “John, hi” Brenda said, giving John a hug. “Brenda, how are you doing, love?” John asked as he hugged Brenda. “Good, thanks” Brenda said as John pulled back. “Hello Brenda,” Jane said, giving Brenda a hug. “Hi Jane,” Brenda said, hugging her back. “What are you two doing here?” “Oh we’re in town for a couple days and we just thought we’d stop by to see you and Jax.” John said. “How’s my favorite grandson?” He asked as he bent down to see Caleb. “Well that was very sweet of you guys to come all the way out here.” Brenda said with a smile. “Ahem.” Georgie said as she stood there and watched everything. “Oh Georgie, I’m sorry.” Brenda said realizing Georgie was standing there. “John and Jane this is Dillon Quartermaine’s girlfriend, Georgie Jones.” “Hello,” Georgie said with a little wave. “Dillon Quartermaine is Jax’s partner isn’t he?” John asked Brenda. Brenda nodded. “It’s very nice to meet you dear” Jane said, hugging Georgie. “Oh,” Georgie said when the older lady hugged her. “You too,” She said with a smile as Jane pulled back. “Hello Georgie,” John said, giving her a hug as well. “Jax has told us so much about Dillon and how much he’s helped him out at the office, I feel like I already know you.” John said “Well Jax giving Dillon a job was the best thing that happened to us.” Georgie said with a smile. “Grandma, grandma!” Caleb yelled from the stroller. “Yes darling?” Jane said looking at him. “Can we go to the park?” Caleb asked Jane looked up at Brenda. “Would you mind?” Jane asked “Oh, no, not at all,” Brenda said with a smile. “Sweetheart you wanna go to the park with grandma and grandpa?” “Yeah” Caleb nodded. “Ok, this actually works out perfect.” Brenda said. “Georgie and I have some major shopping to finish, you guys wouldn’t mind taking him?” “Not at all,” John said. “We’d love to.” Jane said. “Great.” Brenda said with a smile. “You guys staying at your lakehouse?” “Yep” John said. “Great, Jax and I will pick him up, what say around 9ish?” Brenda asked. “Well how about Caleb spends the night with us and that way you and Jacks can spend some time alone?” Jane suggested. “Oh, I couldn’t impose on you guys” Brenda said. “It’s no imposition really.” John said. “Yeah, we’d love to spend the evening with our favorite grandson.” Jane smiled. “Ok, then,” Brenda said, before she walked to the front of the stroller and leaned down in front of it, facing Caleb. “Well sweetheart, how would you like to spend the night with grandma and grandpa tonight?” “Yay!” Caleb cheered. “I guess he’s for it.” Georgie laughed. “Ok, give mommy a kiss.” Brenda said to Caleb. Caleb leaned forward and gave Brenda a big kiss. “Aww thanks sweetie.” Brenda said, before she gave her son a hug. “You be a good boy, ok?” She said when she pulled back. Caleb just nodded. Brenda stood up and Jane walked behind the stroller and pushed it off. “Have a great time you guys” Brenda waved at the three as they walked away. “Oh wait!” She called running after them. Jane came to a stop with the stroller. Brenda reached into the back of it and pulled out a bag from the back of the stroller. “Almost forgot this” Brenda said, holding up the bag. “All right dear,” Jane said, “Bye,” she said before she started walking away again. ”Bye mommy!” Caleb yelled from the stroller. “Bye sweetie!” Brenda called after him. “Aw he is too cute for words,” Georgie said, walking up to Brenda. “And Jax’s parents are so nice.” “Yeah, John and Jane are the best.” Brenda said, smiling. “Yeah,” Georgie said agreeing. “Well now it looks like you have some shopping to do too, missy” She said with a smile. “Yeah it looks like I do.” Brenda said with a smile. “God it’s been forever since Jax and I have had night alone together.” “Yeah I can imagine having a baby would do that to you.” Georgie said as they started walking. “Yep,” Brenda said, nodding. “Well let me go find something to knock Jax’s socks off.” She laughed.
Brenda and Georgie spent the rest of the day shopping, both carrying like 10 bags a piece, filled with clothes and stuff. “Well I never thought I’d say this, but I think I’m shopped out.” Brenda laughed. “Wow I never thought I’d hear those words come out of your mouth,” Georgie laughed. “Yeah well there’s a first time for everything.” Brenda said. Georgie nodded. “Well I guess we better get home.” “Not before we make one more stop.” Brenda said. “Where?” Georgie asked. “Well to get our men, that’s where.” Brenda said with a smile. “Oh, right,” Georgie said, smiling. “But before we go I have something for you.” Brenda said “For…for me?” Georgie asked, shocked. “Here.” Brenda said, handing Georgie a bag. “What did you…” Georgie started. “Just open it.” Brenda cut in Georgie opened the bag and looked inside. She pulled the contents out and her eyes grew wide. It was the shirt Brenda had bought for her at the first store they went to. It was white, tie back strapless chiffon cami with a yellow orchid print. The top part was like a mini tube top and it had sheer material flowing down that showed off the pregnant belly. “Oh my God,” Georgie said. “Where did you get this?” “At the first store we were at.” Brenda said. “I saw it and thought it would be perfect for you.” “I love this!” Georgie said, excited. “And this along with these jeans,” Brenda said, reaching into the bag and pulling out a pair of dark blue maternity jeans, “what do you think?” “What do I think?” Georgie repeated. “I think Dillon is gonna die when he sees this. It’s perfect!”

Chapter 39
“Ok, let’s do this. How do I look?” Georgie asked, opening her long coat to reveal her new outfit, which consisted of the top Brenda bought her and the tight pair of maternity blue jeans. “Very nice,” Brenda said with a smile. “Dillon is gonna die when he sees you in that.” “Perfect.” Georgie said with a smile as she shut her coat just as the elevator doors opened. Brenda and Georgie walked off the elevator and into a deserted office. “Wow, no one’s here.” Georgie said, looking around. “The more the better for you,” Brenda said with a smile as she winked at her. Georgie thought about what she said and then it hit her, what she meant. “Oh yeah, perfect!” She said with a smile. “Shall we?” Brenda said, motioning to Dillon and Jax’s office. “Let’s,” Georgie said as her and Brenda started for the door.
“Dammit!” Dillon said, as he frantically searched his desk. “What’s wrong?” Jax asked, looking up at him. “I can’t find the file for the Gardenview takeover. I so need that to finish this.” “Did you try looking in your other folders to see if you put it in there by mistake?” Jax asked. “Yeah and it’s nowhere to be found.” Dillon said. “Let me check and see if I have a copy of it.” Jax said as he reached into his filing cabinet and searched through the folders. There was a knock at the door. “Yeah,” Jax called as he continued to search through the papers. Georgie and Brenda walked into the office. “Hello” Brenda said as she and Georgie walked into the office. Jax turned at the sound of Brenda’s voice and a smile crept on his face. “Hey,” Jax said, walking over to her and giving her a kiss on the lips. Georgie headed over to Dillon’s desk, where he was still frantically searching for the document. “Looking for something?” Georgie asked as she approached Dillon’s desk. Dillon looked up and saw Georgie standing in front of his desk with a smile on her face. “Yeah, I can’t seem to find this one document…” Dillon said, turning back to searching the desk. “You want some help?” Georgie offered. Dillon continued to search his desk, not having heard her request. “Dillon?” Georgie asked. When Dillon didn’t respond, she crossed her arms across her chest and looked at him with a shocked look on her face, before saying again, “Dillon,” only this time a little louder than before and successfully capturing his attention. “Huh? What?” Dillon asked, looking up at her. “Well this is a fine how do you do,” Georgie said, dropping her arms to her sides and putting her hands on her hips. “I come all the way here to see you and you can’t even stop what you’re doing long enough to say hello?” Georgie asked. “Georgie, I’m sorry, it’s just I…” Dillon started. “Ok, you know what, never mind.” Georgie said. “I’ll see you at home.” She said, starting to turn on her heels to head for the door. “Georgie, wait.” Dillon said, quickly standing up and running around to the other side of his desk and catching her arm. Georgie stopped and turned back around to face him. “I’m sorry, hello.” Dillon said. “Hi.” Georgie said, looking at him. “Listen, I didn’t mean to ignore you.” Dillon said, taking her hands in his as he sat back on his desk, pulling her a few steps closer to him. “I’m just really distracted right now.” Georgie just nodded. “You know, I missed you,” Dillon said, looking into her eyes, causing her to smile. “I missed you too,” Georgie responded. “So did you two have fun shopping?” Dillon asked. “Yeah, it was fun.” Georgie said with a smile. “I got a ton of new stuff.” “That’s great” Dillon said with a smile. “And might I add, I bought a couple things just for you, if you know what I mean.” Georgie said, raising her eyebrow at him. “Really?” Dillon asked, looking at her surprised. “Mm-hmm,” Georgie said, nodding as she stepped in between his legs and wrapped her arms around his neck. “Mmm…I can’t wait to see them,” Dillon said, leaning closer to her face. “Well come home now and I’ll be happy to show them to you.” Georgie said with a smile. Dillon let out a groan of disappointment. “I can’t. Not right now anyway, I have to find this file that I’m missing.” “Look for it later,” Georgie said, before leaning down and starting to kiss his earlobe. Dillon closed his eyes as a wave of excitement rushed through him. “This can’t wait.” Dillon managed to get out. “Yeah well, neither can I….” Georgie whispered in his ear. “Good God,” Dillon groaned softly when Georgie started nibbling on his neck. “Come on Dillon, you know you want to.” Georgie said softly against his neck. “I want to be with you right now.” “Georgie, I’ll be home in like an hour tops and we can be together all night long, I promise.” Dillon practically begged, not really wanting Georgie to stop, but knew he had to. “All right well we’re gonna take off,” Brenda said, causing Georgie to pull back and look at her and Jax. “Ok,” Georgie said, “See you guys later.” She said, turning back to Dillon. “Aren’t you two coming?” Jax asked. “Well actually…” Georgie started. “Actually I’m gonna stay, but would you guys mind dropping Georgie off at home?” Dillon said “Dillon, no,” Georgie said, looking at him. “I promise I’ll be home as soon as I can. This can’t wait, this document is really important to a deal we have going on.” Dillon said. “Then I’ll help you look,” Georgie said. “Baby, I don’t want you to have to hang around here, while I work.” Dillon said. “Too bad, maybe I want to be with you.” Georgie said. “I want to be with you too, but…” Dillon started but was cut off when the phone rang. “Hold on…” He said, before moving Georgie a few steps back and reaching back to answer the phone. “Yeah?” “Look, you guys go ahead and go. I’ll go home with Dillon.” Georgie said, walking up to Brenda and Jax. “Are you sure?” Jax asked “Yeah, she’s sure.” Brenda said smiling at Georgie. “All right then, we’ll see you guys later.” Jax said. “Bye.” Georgie said, giving a little wave as Jax and Brenda headed out of the office. “Yeah, bye,” Dillon said, hanging up the phone. He looked up and saw Georgie standing at the door smiling at him. “Georgie, I told you to…” He started. “I already told you, no.” Georgie said, starting to slowly walk toward his desk. “Besides I have a surprise for you.” She said, seductively. “Georgie I really don’t have time to…” Dillon started. “I bet you’re wondering why I have this long coat on…” Georgie cut in. “You know, considering its like 90 degrees outside.” Dillon looked up. “Yeah, why are you wearing that thing?” “Well maybe because I did want you to see…” Georgie said, slowly opening her coat and then letting it drop to the floor, revealing her new outfit to Dillon. “This.” Dillon looked at her, his mouth ajar and his eyes wide.
Jax and Brenda stood in front of the elevator waiting for it to arrive. “So do you think they suspect anything?” Jax questioned. “Nothing at all,” Brenda said with a smile. “They’ll never see it coming.” She said as her and Jax walked onto the elevator.
