Authors Note: I was thinking with all Sonny's long lost siblings that have shown up on GH wouldn't it be funny if one of Jason's suddenly appeared. I know his mother, Susan Moore, was supposedly murdered when he was a baby but, no one stays dead on a soap opera. I don't know all the details but, they aren't important to the story. So, here's what you need to know. Susan didn't die, she used the attempted murder to fake her own death and left Jason knowing Alan would take care of him. She's been living in California and had a child as the result of a one night stand. She recently died in a car accident. This takes place a few weeks after Liz walked out on Jason. He and Courtney aren't together but, she does have a crush on him and she is still married to AJ. Jason never married Brenda, She found out she wasn't sick and is with Jax. Alcazar is dead but, she and Jason weren't changed with his murder. Let me know what you think.
Chapter 1
"Hey Jason." Sonny called when he noticed him enter the warehouse.
"What?" He snapped. His life had been hell lately. Liz walked out and he was stuck listening to Courtney's nonstop chatter. But, Liz didn't tell him to go to hell today, that thought made him smile. Maybe there was still hope for them.
"What's wrong." Sonny asked surprised by the anger in Jason's voice.
"Nothing, I'm sorry. It's been a long day." He sighed, yeah a long day of listening to your sister who feels the need to inform him every time that dumb dog of her's does something 'cute'. God he hated his job sometimes.
"I just wanted to let you know some lady from Social Services in California keeps calling for you."
"What the hell do they want from me." Jason asked confused.
"They said." Sonny began. He had been shocked when he heard the news and wasn't sure how Jason would respond. "They said it was concerning your sister."
"Emily?" He asked worried. But, wait Emily was an adult. "It can't be her and I don't have another sister, well technically Skye but,..." He trailed off thinking. "I don't even know anyone in California."
"Come on let's sit." Sonny said leading him into his office. Once he'd gotten off the phone with Social Services he had called Benny and had him check out the woman's claim. It turned out to be true. He just wasn't sure how Jason would take it. Once they sat down he began again. "You know who Susan Moore is right."
"Yeah my biological mother. She was murdered when I was a baby what does she have to do with anything?" he asked.
"Well apparently she wasn't." Sonny replied waiting for a reaction.
"Go on." Jason nodded. He wasn't as surprised as he should have been dead people had a habit of showing up alive and well in PC. So his mother was alive. That didn't really mean to much to him. He'd never met the woman what could she want from him now he wondered.
"She died a few day's ago in a car accident." Sonny continued.
"What about my supposed sister." Jason asked wanting to get to the point.
"It's true I had Benny check it out. You're her legal guardian." Sonny replied Great he thought now he was going to have to be responsible for some teenage brat.. Visions of a mini Courtney almost made him cringe. Why him he thought. He didn't share Sonny's blood equals family theory, why couldn't someone else take the girl.
"What about her father?" Jason asked hoping to get out of it.
"They don't know who he is." Sonny began. "He isn't listed on the birth certificate and they're not even sure Susan knew." He added slowly not wanting to disrespect Jason's mother.
"Great so now it's my problem." Jason replied. His mother was a whore and now he had to pay for it. "What happens if I don't take her."
"She goes into foster care." Sonny winced knowing what that could be like for a little kid. He was glad to see Jason's face soften at the mention of that. "I mean she's not even five years old." Sonny began.
"What." Jason cut him off shocked. He'd been picturing a teenager not a child.
"Yeah, she's just a little kid Jase. Her mothers gone your all she's got." Sonny replied.
"She doesn't even know me." Jason began weakening. He wouldn't want any little kid to be shuffled through the foster care system let alone his sister.
"But, you're her brother." Sonny replied.
"I know." he said defeated. "I guess I have to make some calls." He added walking out of Sonny's office. Sonny sat at his desk smiling. It seemed Jason's Morgan's life was about to be invaded by a five year old girl, things were going to be very interesting.
A few day's later:
Jason sat in a small waiting room at the air port waiting for his sister to arrive. Carly and Sonny had offered to come but, he thought it was best to meet her alone first. He was still having trouble believing in a few minutes he would be meeting her. Susan Elisabeth Moore, the Elisabeth made him smile, Maybe it was a sign he hoped. He hadn't told may people about her yet, Sonny and Carly knew of course but other than them he'd only told Lila, Emily, who had recently returned from rehab, and Elisabeth. He had run into her on the dock's the night before and she actually stayed to talk to him. Things had been a bit uncomfortable but, it was a start. He was snapped out of his thoughts.
"Mr Morgan." A woman asked.
"You must be Mrs Price." He greeted the woman he'd spoken to on the phone, standing up to shake her hand.
"Yes." She replied. "And this is Susan." She added gesturing to the girl who was intently staring at her shoes. He took in her appearance. She was smaller than Michael had been at her age. She wore a frilly white dress with pink flowers embroidered on it and black patent leather mary janes over her white lacy socks. Her long wavy brown hair was tied back in a pink ribbon.
He crouched down to her level trying to get her to look at him. "Hi, I'm your brother, Jason." He said smiling. She finally looked up and met his gaze. He was shocked when she stuck her tongue out at him and turned to the social worker.
"I told you I wanted a sister." She demanded stomping her foot.
"Susan." Mrs price began. "I told you, you don't have a sister, You have a brother. Now be a good girl and say hello." She ordered.
"Hmmph" She grunted in reply folding her arms over her chest and stomping loudly across the room away from the adults.
"Sorry." Mrs Price began. "She just needs some time to adjust." Jason nodded. "Well if you would just sign these papers I have to catch my flight home." She finished pulling a few documents out of her brief case. Once he signed the papers she said goodbye and left them alone. Jason stared at his sister unsure of what to do.
"Are you ready to go." he asked hoping he wasn't going to have to drag her out of there. She ignored him. "You know I have a sister who can't wait to meet you." He added recalling her earlier comment.
"Really." She asked spinning around to face him with a huge smile on her face.
"Yeah, Her name is Emily." He replied relived she had come home otherwise he may have never gotten Susan to leave.
"Can we go see her now?" Susan asked excitedly.
"I'll call her as soon as we get home." Jason replied picking up her small suitcase and back pack., the rest of her things had been shipped and would arrive tomorrow. He held out his hand relived when she took it.
"Are you really my Brother." She asked.
"Yes." He replied.
"Brothers are mean my friend Mary's brother cut the heads off her Barbie dolls." She explained.
"Well I promise not to do that." he said hoping she'd warm up to him.
"I'm hungry." She announced as Jason helped her into the car buckling her in. "I want french fries."
"Ok." He replied. That would be easy enough, if it made her happy he would stop at Kelly's and get her some french fries.
"Mommy said french fries are bad for you." She informed him. "But, I like them."
"I like them to." He replied unsure of how to approach a conversation about there mother. He pulled into the parking lot outside Kelly's and helped her out of the car. He was surprised as she took his hand pulling him towards the courtyard. He smiled down at her as she skipped beside him singing about french fries. They walked into the diner and his gaze lifted from his sister to meet Elisabeth's. He was surprised to see her smile at him as she walked over.
"Hey." She said as she reached them. Susan had pulled her hand from his and was now dancing around him still singing about her love of french fries. She stooped when Liz approached them.
"Are you Emily?" She asked.
"No I'm Elisabeth." Liz replied crouching down to her level. She was shocked when she met the girls gaze, her eyes were the same identical Jason's. There was no denying she was his sister. She'd know those eyes anywhere. She studied her face noticing other features she shared with her brother.
"Hey that's my name too." She replied giggling.
"Really." Liz asked.
"Yup." She replied twirling around. "Susan Elisabeth."
"I like your dress." Liz said trying to get her attention back.
"I have pink underwear." She replied lifting her dress to show her. Jason just shook his head, he had no idea what to expect from a five year old girl.
"There very pretty." Liz replied smiling.
"What color are yours?" she asked catching Liz and Jason by surprise. Liz blushed slightly glancing at a very amused Jason.
"Blue." She answered blushing. She prayed the girl didn't ask to see them.
"Jason's my brother." Susan informed her. Liz was grateful that children had short attention spans. "I wanted a sister but I got stuck with him."
"I think Jason will be a great brother." Liz laughed.
"Really." she asked skeptically.
"Yeah, He's really nice." Liz added.
"He's gona buy me french fries. I love french fries." She replied as she began singing about them again. "I want to sit on the stools" She added running over to the counter.
"She's going to be a handful." Liz said turning to Jason.
"I beginning to realize that." Jason laughed as he watched her stand impatiently by the counter. "I'd better feed her before she stops talking to me again."
"I'm gona be five next week." Susan announced once she'd finished her french fries. "Can I have a party?" She asked Jason.
"I guess." He replied knowing he couldn't say no once he saw the pleading look on her face. He was surprised when she leapt into his lap throwing her arms around his neck.
"You're the best brother." She said hugging him tightly. She let go and turned still in his lap to face Liz. "Will you come to my party?" She asked.
"Sure." Liz replied smiling.
"I want a pink cake and pink balloons and a princess dress...." She began list all the things she needed for her party. Liz saw the desperate look on Jason's face once he realized what the party would entail.
"I can help." She offered. She missed Jason and this would give her an excuse to spend time with him.
"Thanks." Jason replied. He was starting to really like the idea of this party especially since it meant he would get to spend time with Liz.
"Jason." Courtney called walking in. She'd been hoping to run into him for days. She had been disappointed when he stopped guarding her. Carly told her what was going on and she had been surprised at first but, quickly realized Susan could be her way in to Jason's life all she needed to do was get the little brat to like her.
Jason saw the indifferent mask starting to slip back onto Elisabeth's face. He had been making progress with her and then Courtney had to come ruin it all. Courtney sauntered up to the counter and learned down to great Susan.
"Well aren't you just adorable." She gushed.
"You smell funny." Susan replied wrinkling up her nose. Liz choked back her laughter, leave it to a child to point out the woman wore way to much perfume.
"W-what." Courtney stuttered insulted.
"You can't come to my party." She declared turning away. "Can we go now." She asked beginning to get bored.
"Sure." Jason replied throwing some cash on the counter. He was glad to be able to get out of there before Courtney started hanging all over him and destroyed all the progress he made with Liz. "See you later Elisabeth."
"Bye see you at my party." Susan called skipping to the door.
"See you guys later." She replied laughing at the stunned look on Courtney's face as they walked out.
"Is this were you live" Susan asked as Jason helped her out of the car.
"Yes" He replied taking her bags out of the trunk.
"Jason." Francis greeted walking over and picking up bags.
"Hey Francis." He replied. "Susan this is Francis." He introduced her.
"Hello Susan." Francis greeted.
"Yuck, more boys." she replied. Jason just shook his head laughing.
"Come on we can go upstairs and you can meet Carly, She's a girl." He laughed.
"Is she nice like Elisabeth?" She asked. Francis pretended to cough to cover up his laughter. Carly was many things but like Elisabeth was not one of them.
"She's nice." Jason replied walking her over to the elevator. Once they were inside she held her arms up.
"Pick me up." She demanded. Francis watched amused as he did. "Your hair is pointy." She declared patting his blonde locks. Francis was barley able to hold in his laugher, he was relived when the elevator reached the top floor. He slipped out into the hallway.
"I'll put these in your penthouse." He said guesting to the bags.
"Thanks." Jason replied walking over to Sonny's door.
"Bye Francis." Susan called from Jason's arms.
"Jason." Johnny greeted.
"Hey Johnny this is my sister, Susan." He introduced.
"Hello." Johnny replied.
"Hi." Susan replied as He announced them.
"Hey Jason." Sonny greeted walking over. "You must be Susan."
"Where's Carly." She demanded. Sonny looked at Jason confused. He just shook his head.
"She'll be down in a minute." Sonny replied smiling. "I'm Sonny." She squirmed in Jason's arms till he put her down.
"I'm Susan Elisabeth Moore." She replied smiling back at him. "I'm gona be five years old." She added holding up her hand to show him how many five was.
"Hello." Carly called coming down the stairs with Michael following her. "I'm Carly and this is Michael."
"Hi." She replied as she look at Michael. "I'm gona have a party." She told him.
"Really for what." Carly asked smiling.
"My birthday." She announced. "You can come."
"Thank you." Carly replied.
"Jason's my brother." She informed them. "He has pointy hair." Sonny and Carly laughed.
"Jason's my uncle and he's really cool." Michael declared staking his claim. Jason smiled glad someone appreciated him.
"You can have him." Susan replied. "I want a sister. Jason said I could meet Emily later she's gona be my sister."
"So when's your birthday." Carly asked laughing.
"Next Friday." She replied. "I'm gona have a princess party."
"Your throwing a princess party." Sonny asked Jason Laughing.
"Shut up." Jason replied.
"Elisabeth is gona come to my party." Susan said happily.
"You met Elisabeth." Sonny asked surprised. Last he heard she wasn't speaking to Jason. He felt bad about it knowing it was partly his fault.
"Yup, She's real nice and pretty and she doesn't smell bad like that other lady." She told him.
"What other lady?" Carly asked.
"I don't know her name. She was weird and smelled funny." She replied. "She knows Jason."
"Who is she talking about?" Sonny asked.
"Courtney." he admitted reluctantly. Causing Carly to burst into laughter. She was trying to be friends with her for Sonny but, the woman was irritating as hell. Plus she was becoming way to interested in Jason. Carly reluctantly admitted to herself that she'd rather see him with the twit than Courtney.
"I like Elisabeth better than Aunt Courtney too." Michael admitted causing Carly to laugh harder even Sonny couldn't help but grin, she may be his sister but, she was beginning to get on his nerves.
