Chapter 1
Georgie looked up at the huge home infront of her. For most people, coming home from a long day at work was the best part of their day. But for her it was the worst. She had been married for almost two years now, but she hated her husband. Infact she hated her entire existence. He would never be the man she wanted him to be. Everyone knew she was miserable and her family had begged her to leave him. But leaving him would mean she had failed yet again, it would mean that she truley was a complete and udder failure. Besides, its not like she had anywhere to run to.
She groaned setting her brief case down on the kitchen counter hitting play on the answering machine.
"Georgie its me .... your sister, i miss you, give me a call and we'll have lunch"
"Hi uhh... i'm not sure if this is even the right number... but i'm looking for Georgie Jones... this is an old friend Dillon Quartermaine, if you get this Georgie just give me a call i'm in town for a few weeks, just hoping we could catch up..." His voice became blurry in her mind as he rambled off his cell phone number and the answering machine beeped. After all this time.... there he was. Not that she hadn't thought of him every hour of every day since he had left her so long ago, but the fact that he thought of her was impossible.
She heard the front door open and quickly hit delete on the machine, cursing herself for not writing down the number he had left.
"Georgie i'm home" She heard him call. She groaned not exactly in the mood to play the happy house wife.
"Hey" He said walking into the kitchen.
"Hi Davis" She smiled reaching for a bottle of wine and pouring herself a glass. He kissed her cheek hanging his suit jacket on the back of a chair. "How was your day" She asked not really caring, but she knew she was supposed to care, that she was supposed to ask how his day was, he began to ramble off some story, and she zoned out her mind once again returning to the face of Dillon Quartermaine, she took a long sip out of her already almost empty wine glass wondering how she had ever gotten herself into this mess of a marriage.
"So want to order out?" He asked stepping infront of her and placing his arms around her waist.
"Davis i told you this morning, Lucas and Brooke are coming over tonight for dinner." She sighed, he never seemed to listen when she spoke.
"Oh great" He groaned. "I know that he's your cousin Georgie but i still dont like him"
Georgie laughed. Sometimes she thought she couldn't hate him more if she tried, and then he would open his mouth and say something so completley moronic that she wanted to throw herself out of the third floor window. This was her husband, this was her life. Without a word Georgie poured another glass of wine and stormed up the stairs never looking him in the eye. There were times she was an oscar deserving actress, but when he said things like that, she couldn't hide her hatred for him.
She closed and locked the door to her office taking her sketch pad out of her breif case and placing it on her desk, she opened to a fresh page. Maybe work could distract her. She placed the pencil onto the paper and knew imediatley there was no way she was going to get that message out of her mind.
Georgie sat back in her chair taking another long sip. She walked to the large window over looking the water and the docks. They had made so many memories down there, and now he owned it.
Dillon looked out the penthouse window. He had missed Port Charles more then he led on. He rarley came back, it was too painful to be there and see her on local newspapers with her husband. He knew they had married, but refused to call her Georgie Lansing. The thought of doing so was enough to make him vomit. Lucas came to visit him in the city constatly often Brooke would come with him. Things weren't the same, everyone had grown so far apart in such a short time. They were only 23 and Georgie was married, Brooke and Lucas were engaged, Lindsay Jax stood to inherit a six billion dollar fortune when her father retired in a year, Davis was running for DA, and Maxie was the proud mother of a six month old, Joseph Corinthos.
It was strange that he was Joeys god father. If he had stayed with Georgie he would have been his uncle. Jay took care of things at home with Jason and Sonny, but Dillon did the international side of things. He had traveled the world, and still hadn't found anyone or anything as beautiful as Georgie.
Georgie drunkenly stumbled from the balcony back inside. She reached into her brief case and pulled out her medication. She had been taking it since they graduated high school. Brooke and Lucas would be there soon, she had to put her happy face on. Finally she emerged from her office went to her bedroom and washed up then made her way to the kitchen to stat cooking. She heard the doorbell ring and Davis answer the door, but once again her mind had wandered off to Dillon. She wondered if he had married too, if he knew that she had married Davis... if he could ever forgive her.
Lucas walked into the kitchen and stopped seeing his cousin staring out the window over the sink, she looked like she had been cooking, pots and pans were spread out around the kitchen. But she looked sad, she always did these days.
"Hey Cuz" He said snapping her out of it. She jumped knocking a pan onto the floor.
"Georgie how many times do i have to tell you to be more careful" Davis scolded her. "She's a mess in the kitchen."
"You alright G?" Brooke asked.
"Yea, just tired" She smiled huggging them both hello. Atleast someones life had worked out the way it should.
Davis answered his cell phone. "Hey brother" He smiled, it wasn't often that he heard from Kyle. He lived in LA, he had moved shortly after Maxie and Jay got married.
"Hey, so i'm in town for a while, mom and dad want to have dinner tomorrow"
"Sounds great"
Georgie hardly made it through dinner without throwing a plate at his head. Afterward Brooke was helping her clean up in the kitchen.
"Georgie, can we talk for a minute?" Brooke asked.
"Yea sure, you ok?"
"Thats what i was going to ask you" She laughed.
"I'm fine"
"No your not your miserable" Brooke confronted her. Georgie laughed. What was she supposed to say? The truth? Did anyone really want to know what a mess she was inside?
"Brooke What do you want me to say..." Georgie groaned.
"Dillon's in town Georgie" She said staring her best friend in the eye. "I know that he called you"
"I'm a married woman Brooke"
"Oh bullshit, you hate him and we both know it" she yelled. "This is your chance to get out of this marriage and be happy"
"Brooke you cant be serious"
"Just say you'll call him, just go to lunch with him catch up. I'm telling you Georgie it's not to late to end this before it gets worse"
"Fine, i'll call him, but i need his number... Davis came home and i had to delte the message" Georgie laughed.
"Georgie you won't regret this" Brooke smiled writing the n umber down and handing it to her friend.
Lucas and Davis were watching baseball in silence. He had tried for Georgies sake, but he never really grew to like Davis. Maybe it was just because Dillon was his best friend, but it was more likely that he just hated him for turning Georgie into the depressed unhappy person she had become.
"So i heard you and Brooke just got back from Englad... how was it" Davis asked, trying to be polite as usual.
"It was great. We helped Dillon pack up and he showed us around, we had great weather..."
"Pack up?" Davis interupted him.
"Yea he moved back to Port Charles for a while."
"Oh... isn't that nice" He said unhappily.
Late that night Georgie crawled out of bed once Davis was snoring and crept into her office, shutting and locking the door behind her. Her stomach was in knots, and she was nervous and she couldn't stop smiling. She shouldn't be doing this, she knew that in her head. But what if Brooke was right? What if this was her last chance, what if it wasn't too late for her to start over?
Taking a deep breath she picked up the phone and dialed the number Brooke had left her.
"Hello" She heard him say and froze hearing his voice. "Hello"
"Dillon?" She asked. She knew it was him, but she couldn't manage to get out any other words.
"Georgie?" He said sounding shocked. "I didn't think you would call back"
"Well i did... i was hoping we could meet for dinner tomorow and catch up" She said trying to sound confident and happy.
"Yea! That sounds great, is the Grille ok?"
'"Yea, i'll meet you at the bar at 7" Georgie said happily. "and Dillon..."
"yea"
"I'm really glad you called" She smiled.
"me too." He sighed "I'll see you tomorrow Georgie" He said hanging up.

Chapter 2
Georgie woke up the next morning with a smile on her face. She rolled over, and her smile faded seeing Davis snoring next to her. She had been dreaming all night of Dillon and what it would be like to kiss him again. Davis started to wake up and she hurried out of bed. She wasn't in the mood for his groping this morning. She went into the bathroom and showered, planning on shopping all day for an outfit to wear to dinner.
Lucas finished cooking breakfast and brought it into Brooke. He smiled at his fiance fast asleep, her hair a mess, she always looked so beautiful in the morning. Last night seeing how miserable his cousin had become in her relashionship only made him appreciate her more. They had stayed so strong for so long, they rarely faught and when they did it never lasted long. He smiled watching her eyes flutter open at the smell of breakfast.
"mmmm... your amazing" She smiled sitting up as Lucas put the tray on her lap. "And you even brought me coffee! Oh i love you" She groaned.
"I love you too" Lucas laughed.
"So whats the occasion?" Brooke laughed taking a bite of her omlet.
"What i cant make my beautiful fiance breakfast in bed?" He laughed. Brooke laughed giving him a look. "Ok.. its just seeing Georgie so miserable, it killed me to see her like that, and it just made me see how lucky we are, that we made it through everything, and were still happy and in love... and getting married" He said looking down at the ground a little embarassed.
Brooke reached out touching his face gently. "Yea we are pretty lucky arn't we?" she smiled. "Thank you... n ot just for breakfasat.... i mean for everything"
* Maxie sat on the balcony holding the baby, rocking her back and forth. How she had gotten this lucky she would never figure out. How she had managed to hold on to Jay was an even bigger mystery to her. Jay came out and knelt infront of her, kissing joey on his head.
"What time did you get home last night" Maxie sighed. As much as she loved him, the late nights and business trips were starting to get to her.
"Not til three a.m." Jay sighed knowing she was upset with him. "Dillon's in town we went out with Jason, just to catch up"
"Ok" She said her eyes returning to joey who was making noises and squirming all over the place.
"Maxie i'm sorry" Jay said taking the baby from her. "I know i'm not around as much as i should be, especially since we have Joey now, i'm gonna try baby i promise, and now that Dillon's home it will help out a lot."
"Ok" Maxie smiled glad he understood.
* Sage and Lindsay walked through the mall with Georgie. It was strange how the they had started off as enemies and were business partners now. Lindsay was a lawyer, not that she needed to work.
"So what's the occasion G? I'ts not like you to take an entire day out of the office, not that i'm complaining" Sage smiled.
"Oh nothing, i just wanted a new dress for dinner tonight" Georgie said as casually as she could.
"Oh yea... dinner with the in laws?" Lindsay said having no idea how miserable she was with Davis.
"oh shit.. i forgot to tell Davis i couldnt make that..."
"Who's dinner with then?"
"Dillon Quatermaines in town, were just gonna catch up... thats all" Georgie convinced herself.
"What?!" Sage laughed.
"You and Dillon catching up?" Lindsay laughed "sounds interesting"
"Guys... what? I'm a married woman its not like that"
"Nobody said it was ... guilty concious much?" Sage asked.
* Davis put in the security code to his voicemail when he got to the office.
"Hey honey its me..." He heard Georgie say "Just wanted to let you know i couldn't make it to dinner tonight... something more important came up, tell Alexis and Ric i said hello"
He threw his phone at the ground frustrated. He knew his wife was miserable, he knew deep down that she didnt love him. If he could just find a way to make her happy everything would be ok, but he knew if he didn't figure something out soon, he would loose her forever.
And Chances were that this had something to do with Dillon Quartermaine being in town. Georgie had never gotten over him, Davis knew that and was willing to settle for second best in her book. She rarley said she loved him, and when she did she was lieing. What kind of marriage is this? He thought to himself. But really it was his fault, he had proposed knowing it would be like this. He had hoped she would come around one day, but was starting to realize that it wasn't likely that was going to happen.
* "He's gonna be so pissed off" Georgie groaned handing the cashier her credit card.
"Hey you make your own money G" Sage said refering to the five hundred dollar outfit she had just bought.
"Not about the money, about me bailing on him tonight, Kyles in town he was really looking forward to it" Georgie said not caring as much as she pretended to.
"Kyles in town huh" Sage sighed, hoping she wouldn't run into him.
"Yea, sorry Sage i should have told you.. " Georgie sighed knowing he was still a sore spot for her friend.
"No its fine" She brushed it off. "Diegos home on leave, he said he wanted to go to dinner tonight, so that should be fun." She said changing the subject.
"Oh thats awesome, any word when he'll be home for good?"
"Probably not another six months, Uncle Lorenzo and I just keep praying he doesnt end up in Iraq" She sighed.
"Hey.. since i have no life, and i'm off tonight, you think i could come Sage?" Lindsay asked.
"Sure Linds.. i'd invite you too Georgie, but since you have such a hott date and all..." She laughed.
"Shut up Sage!" Georgie groaned climbing into her car, her best friends doing their best to stifle their laughter.
* Lucas groaned as his pager went off. Being chief resident at General Hospital had its perks, being interrupted while making out with your fiance in bed wasn't one of them.
"Don't answer it" Brooke groaned. climbing ontop of him.
"Baby i have to" Lucas laughed. Brooke shook her head no and started kissing his neck. "what if someones dieing"
"So what" Brooke said and they both laughed as she rolled off of him letting him call the hospital. He hung up and looked at her sadly. "No! Don't go!" She pouted
"I'm sorry baby" He kissed her forehead and got out of bed and starting to pull some clothes on.
"I love you" She sighed.
"I love you too, see you for dinner tonight right?" He said picking up his brief case
"Yes sir" She smiled as he walked out "And thanks for breakfast!" she yelled after him. She groaned hearing the door close behind him. "Damn sick people." She said throwing the blankets off of her and heading to the coffee maker. The phone rang and she answered it hoping it was Lucas.
"Lucas Joneses residence" She said.
"I'll never get used to the idea of you two sleeping together, even if you are getting married in a month" Dillon groaned suddenly feeling ill.
"hi uncle Dillon"
"Don't call me that"
"Ok... whats up?"
"Lucas home?"
"Nope"
"Damn"
"Why"
"needed to talk"
"meet me at kelly's?" Brooke sighed.
"sure... beat ya there" Dillon said hanging up. Brooke laughed, everything was a competition with that guy.
* Sage walked out of Kelly's with her coffee and placed her brief case on the table infront of her. She sat down opening to the drawings she was handing over to Georgie for proofing on monday morning. She was never happy with her work, no matter how perfect it was. Georgie had taken a chance by including her in her business, and there was no way she was going to let her down. Not after everything they had over come to become such good friends.
Her thoughts returned to her earlier conversation with Georgie, Kyle was home. Which was a very bad thing, the last thing she wanted was to run into that scum bag. She cursed herself hearing his voice behind her and froze for a moment, wondering if it was too late to get up and run. Don't be such a woos she told herself turning to face him.
"Sage" He smiled
"Yea hi" She said turning back to her coffee and sketch pad.
"You mind if i join you" He said sitting down. She laughed, what could he possibly want from her after all this time.
"Actually i'm working here" She said refusing to look him in the eye.
"I heard Diego was a pilot for the army now"
"Yea is there something you wanted Kyle?"
"Just to catch up... is that so horrible"
"Why"
"Sage... believe it or not i've missed you." Kyle sighed reaching across the table placing his hand over hers. Feeling strong for the first time in what seemed like forever she looked him dead in the eye and laughed, snatching her hand away packing up her brief case and storming off, her coffee in hand.
* Dillon and his niece sat in silence for a minute. He had told her Georgie called him back, and Brooke was surprised to say the least, like Georgie had said, she was a married woman. More then anything she was scared for Dillon, there was a very good chance he was going to get hurt in this whole thing. He had no idea what Georgie was like, what she had become, h e had no idea how miserable she was with Davis. Georgie had become a very guarded person, and knowing Dillon he still had his hopes up that she would run off to some foreign country for another adventure together.
"Dillon, do me a favor and be careful" Brooke sighed.
"What are you talking about?"
"Georgies different now, shes... i mean shes my friend Dillon, but i just dont want you to get hurt"
"Brooke she's married, i know that, i'm not going there tonight expecting anything but a good conversation"
"right, i dont believe that Dillon, but as long as ive warned you" Brooke sighed.
* Georgie got home and looked at her watch. Maxie had promised to meet her at six to get ready and it was almost 5:30. To her surprise Davis was in his office. He was never home this early, she thought to herself. She heard him hang up and groaned, grabbing a bottle of wine in preparation for the fit he was about to throw about her not going to dinner.
"So you want to tell me what's so important that you cant come to dinner tonight?" He asked anger in his voice.
"Davis i'ts not that big of a deal we have dinner with your parents like every weekend" Georgie groaned, not in the mood to argue withhim.
"Kyles home"
"I hate Kyle" Georgie said and sighed. It felt good to get that off of her chest once and for all.
"What?" Davis spat.
"And for your information, he hates me too Davis" Georgie laughed.
"You can't still have a grudge against him for hurting your sister, she's with that gangster corinthos now, so why do you even care" Davis yelled.
"That gangster is one of my best friends and the father of my nephew, watch your mouth" Georgie spat angrily pointing her finger in his face as a warning. "Your brother is a complete and total asshole Davis, He hurt my sister, he used Sage for an entire year, and he always seems to put you up to these crazy schemes of his and get you in over your head"
"Your coming, and your gonna like it"
"Oh fuck you...I'm not going anywhere near your brother or that dinner tonight, so have a good time" She said laughing. She reached for her wine and Davis grabbed her wrist angrily.
"Georgie i mean it. If i can have dinner with Your cousin Lucas and whoever that slut is he's dating, and pretend to like your stuck up sister and her criminal husband then you can come to dinner with my family"
Maxie had been watching the last few minutes of the argument and gasped as she watched Georgie pick up her wine glass and throw it in his face. Davis stood there in shock and Maxie started laughing. They finally noticed her and he stormed out of the house.
"Hey sis" Georgie said filling her glass back up. "Your early"
"So i'm guessing things arn't getting any better" Maxie laughed. Georgie laughed cleaning up the mess she had made.
"The marriage from hell" She sighed.
"You've been drinking a lot lately Georgie"
"I'm fine Maxie"
"Are you sure"
"Yea, i'm sure" Georgie sighed. "Come on, i have to look extra hott tonight, this is the ex afterall, can't let him know what my life has come to" She laughed
Maxie followed her sister up the long winding staircase. Georgie pulled the new dress out of her closet and shoes she had bought to match. It was short white and strapless, the heels were pointy and covered in gold and rhinestone beading.
"Very nice" Maxie smiled. "I guess someones trying to make an impression"
"Maxie don't start, i already got the lecture from Brooke Lynn"
"Have i ever mentioned how smart that girl is, i'm so glad Lucas is marrying her" Maxie smiled.
"Max"
"Georgie, i know you miss him, iknow you don't love Davis, and nobody else likes him either, mom and dad pushed him on you for months, and ended up hating him, shouldnt that tell you something" Maxie said following her sister into her large bathroom.
"Listen, i'm married ok, the only reason i'm going tonight is for closure, and so i can show Dillon, that i'm fine without him, and how good i'm doing and how happy i am"
"Happy? Georgie you havent been happy in years, stop lieing to yourself" Maxie yelled at her. "You still love Dillon, and we both know it" Maxie said shutting her sister up. "Come on i'll do your hair" Maxie said sitting her sister down infront of the mirror. "When Dillon sees you he won't know what hit him"

Chapter 3
*Flashback*
Georgie heard him knockon the window and ran to it excitedley. They had faught again at the party tonight, she was mean to him, and had been sitting in bed starring at her cell phone wondering if she should call him.
"Baby i'm sorry, i dont want to fight" He said softly brushing a few strands of hair behind her ear. "I can't stop thinking about you, about how much i love you"
'I love you too" Georgie whispered and kissed him sweet and soft "Dillon stay the night"
"Georige i shouldn't if we get caught..." Dillon smiled, knowing he would end up giving in to her.
"Please" she whispered unbuttoning her night shirt and tossing it to the floor "Please?" Dillon gave in immediatley wrapping his arms around her and kissing her
* Georgie sat at the bar at the Grille nervously. She placed her white dior bag on the bar pulling out a 20. The bar tender nodded in her direction. "Scotch on the rocks please"
"I would have figured you for one of those girly drinks" a voice teased behind her. Georgie whirled around to see a handsome twenty three year old Dillon Quartermaine starring back at her. She locked eyes with him, imediatley wishing she hadn't.
"Dillon.... hi" She smiled standing slowly and hugging him. He was suprised, but that didn't mean he didnt like it. "Sit... Want a drink"
"Yea, beer sounds good" Dillon smiled. He couldn't keep his eyes off of her, she looked so good.
"So, your back?" Georgie asked, hoping his explanation would include it being permanent, even if it made her life more complicated.
"Yea, for a while actually. "So... how have you been?"
"Good... i guess" Georgie lied taking a long sip of her drink. "What about you?"
"Uh... pretty horrible actually" Dillon said, and Georgie laughed, wishing she had just been honest. "That's kind of why i came home"
"You think Port Charles is going to help?" Georgie said sarcastically.
"Well... everyone i love is here, my family... my friends...you" He smiled.
"Good answer" Georgie laughed.
* Sage hugged Diego tightly. It had been months since she had seen him. "Relax Sage i'm fine" He smiled. Hugging Lindsay next.
"Its good to see you" Lindsay smiled at him.
He starred at her a moment too long, seeing something he hadn't before, she was gorgeous.
"Lets get a table" Lindsay smiled. They followed the hostess to their table and all sat down.
"So how ya doing Sage?" Diego asked her. She laughed a little
"You'll never believe who i saw today...." She started in on her story.
* It had been a few hours since they met, and they were already laughing and carrying on like the old days. Dillon finished his beer setting the empty bottle down on the bar. They had both had a little too much to drink. Georgie finished hers as well and looked over at Dillon, catching him starring at her.
"What?"
"Nothing" He sighed. Georgie smacked his arm "Ow" He laughed "You just look so....so..."
"Soooo what?"
"Hott" He laughed embarassed. "I'm sorry, i should stop your married"
Georgie laughed when he said married. "Thanks... but its not much of a marriage."
"What do you mean" Dillon asked curiously.
"Nothing" Georgie sighed.
Georgies cell phone ran interrupting him.
"hello"
"Yea its your husband, remember me"
"Unfortunatley"
"Where are you i'm coming to get you"
"ha! no your not"
"Well either tell me or i'll start callling around and i'll find out Georgie"
"I'm at the Grille Davis, I'll be home later... Jesus Christ"
"Get your ass home now" He yelled. Dillon sat up hearing the way he was talking to her. "I mean it... Now Georgie"
Georgie hung up the phone laughing.
"You let him talk to you like that"
"Let him? Welcome to my life Dillon" She groaned. "I should go, before he comes down here and starts a fight with you..."
"Why don't we go get some take out, we can go hang out at my place" Dillon asked. Georgie knew she should say no, but she really didnt want to. Her cell phone rang again, she looked down, it was Davis again. "Please? its still early"
She turned her phone off and grabbed her purse "Lets go" She smiled
* Maxie smiled as her husband walked through the door. She glanced at the clock 9:30, the earliest he had been home in a month. Maybe he really meant what he said. "Hello wife" He smiled.
"Hi" She said happily jumping into his arms. "the baby just fell asleep, so it looks like its just me and you... alone"
"Just what i was hoping for" He smiled brining his lips to hers. Everytime they kissed, it was still like the first time. "I love you" He whispered.
"Ice cream? i was just getting myself some?" She smiled.
"Yes" He said following her to the kitchen. "So Dillon said he stopped by to see Joey, he seems pretty depressed huh?"
"Yea, well not for long" Maxie sighed scooping ice cream into another bowl and handing it to her husband. She sat down next to him before continuing. "He and Georgie went to dinner tonight"
"what?" Jay laughed "like together?"
"Yea" Maxie laughed. "I'm a waiting a disasterous phone call from my sister as we speak"
"Maybe they just wanted to catch up, you know be friends again"
"Georgie and Dillon arn't just friends, they never were, not since they were like six. He's always been in love with her" Maxie sighed.
"Well then maybe he'll save her from that sham of a marriage" Jay said hopefully "She's fallin apart Max"
"Yea she is" Maxie sighed.
* Dillon and Georgie sat at the counter at Kelly's waiting their orders of Cheeseburgers and fries. Georgie heard yelling outside and knew the voice imediatley. "Its Him" She sighed.
Dillon looked at Mike "Hide us?" He asked.
"What do you mean thats Georgies..."
"I'll explain later Mike... please?" Georgie asked.
"Kitchen closet, i'll tell him your not here" Mike laughed. This reminded him so much of when they were kids.
Georgie grabbed Dillons hand and her bag and drug him into the kitchen. She found the closet and pulled him inside shutting and locking the door. They were so close Georgie could hear feel his breath on her neck. She closed her eyes trying to control herself and the overwhelming urge she had to kiss him. The smell of his cologne, the same one he had always worn, weakend her. That smell reminded her of kissing and touching... and oh god her knees were going weak.
"Georgie! I know your here!" They heard yelling.
"Oh god" Georgie groaned.
"Shhh" Dillon said putting his finger to her lips. The small touch sent her over the edge. She was going to kiss him, damn Davis, and the misery that had come along with him. Her hand rested on his chest and she looked up into his eyes, there was just enough light for her to see him starring down at her. She took a deep breath starring at his lips.
The door swung open starteling both of them.
"He's gone, i told him i hadn't seen you and he sped off down the road." Mike sighed.
"Thanks Mike" Georgie said following Dillon out of the kitchen.
"I'm guessing those Burgers are to go?" He asked.
"yea please" Georgie sighed.
* They reached Dillon's apartment and went inside. It was cleaner then she pictured it would be. A few boxes remained, but he was mostly unpacked. "So you must be doing pretty well yourself, living in a penthouse" Georgie laughed.
"Well yea" Dillon laughed.
"How long are you staying?" Georgie asked, not wanting to get attached to the idea of him.
"Not sure, it depends really. Maybe i'll love it and i'll stay, maybe i wont be able to see you with him everyday and i'll leave" Dillon said honestly.
"Dillon...."
"Its ok, i shouldn't say things like that, its just hard not to be honest with you" Dillon sighed handing Georgie a plate.
They ate practically in silence, ocassionally chatting about family or friends. Georgie helped him clean up and followed him into the kitchen.
"Want a beer?" He asked."Or i s that not fancy enough for you?"
"Shut up Quartermaine" She laughed. "Ofcoarse i want a beer" She sat on the counter watching him rinse of the plates from dinner. Dillon finished and turned toward her his eyes traveling up her legs and thighs to the hem of the white dress he wished she wasn't wearing.
Georgie noticed his wandering eye, and got down off the counter just inches from him. She liked that he was looking at her, but knew she shouldn't. It was sad that she was a married woman, just inches from having an affair, and she was happy about it.
"So" She whispered. Dillon could feel her breath on his skin and it took everything he had in him not to wrap his arms around her small waist and kiss her. "About that beer?" She asked. Dillon reached back and opened the frig handing herone, never taking his eyes off of hers.
"Come on i'll give you the tour" He said finally tearing his eyes away.
* "Guys i'm tired" Sage sighed. "Not to be a party pooper, but i'm going to bed" Sage got up off the couch and hugged Diego.
"See you in the morning, blankets are in the closet, Night Linds"
Lindsay and Sage had been room mates since graduation. "Nite" Diego called, glad she was leaving them alone so that he could put the moves on Lindsay.
"What about you, tired?" Lindsay asked him
"Nope" He sighed
"good, neither am i" Lindsay smiled. "Want to watch a movie or something?"
"Yea sounds good"
"Ok, popcorns in the cabinet over the sink, i'm going to get changed." Lindsay said hoping off the couch and running into her room.
* "And this is my bedroom" He said leading her inside.
Georgie looked around. Her eyes resting on the bed. She sat on it taking in his smell. Her eyes rested on his nightstand and the picture that sat on it. Prom king and Queen. She had been so happy then. It was the best night of her life.
"I love this picture" She smiled. Georgie looked over at him. What was she thinking, so what she was married, Davis was a jerk, a jerk who made her miserable. He looked so sad standing there starring at her.
Georgie got up and walked over to him stopping just inches from him. "What were we thinking Dillon?"
"Huh"
"Throwing what we had away" She whispered reaching up and touching his cheek gently.
"I took you for granted, i thought you'd always be there" Dillon tried to explain.
"What about now Dillon?"
"Georgie your a married woman, we shouldn't even be talking about this" He whispered, but she only moved closer to him. "I came to your room the night you and Davis got back together. I was gonna climb through the window like i always did. But there you were, kissing him, and it killed me to see him touch you and kiss you, and i didn't know how to deal so i ran away from it all..."
"Why didn't you ever say anything?" Georgie asked.
"Because Georgie... you got engaged, and married after like a year of dating, obviously you love him more then me, so why would I try and ruin that for you?"
Dillon gave in and let his fingers run through her beautiful curls. "I dream about you every night" Georgie said tears coming to her eyes. "I don't love him... i never have, and i never will" She confessed tears pouring down her face.
"Georgie... don't cry"
"No i hate him Dillon... i hate him, i hate my life but i'm stuck in it" Georgie said, finally loosing it.
"Shhh..." Dillon soothed her hugging her tightly "I'ts gonna be ok"
"No... no its not, because for the rest of my life i'm going to live in that miserable house with a husband i cant stand.... god Dillon.. when he touches me i get sick to my stomach.... and it only gets stronger with time, and i hate him more every morning i wake up and he's still breathing" She said crying hyserically.
Georgie rested her face in his neck. The feeling of him holding her soothed her tears, and there was that smell again, that smell that gave her flashbacks of kisses and secret nights in her bedroom, and she couldn't help herself any longer. and for that matter she didn't want to,
Dillon stopped rubbing her back when he felt it. Those lips, those perfectly soft and pink lips. She was kissing his neck, and it was driving him crazy, he thought he was going to faint.
"Georgie" He whispered. She lifted her head off of his shoulder and looked him in the eye, silently begging him to kiss her. "We shouldn't..."
"I know" She whispered, but she didn't care. She closed her eyes as Dillon brushed the tears away from her eyes.
He leaned forward slowly, giving up on resisting her. Finally after two long years of wanting, he kissed her and her lips were just as perfect and soft and sweet as he had remembered. At first they kissed soft and sweet, but Georgie coaxed his mouth open and he slowly slipped his tongue into her mouth wanting so bad to taste her.
* Lindsay reached across his lap for the popcorn, never taking her eyes away from the tv. The Breakfast club, her favorite movie. It had always reminded her of high school, how they all used to be.
"So.... this movie sucks" Diego laughed.
"Sorry, guess its kind of a chick flick huh?" She smiled.
"So if you don't mind me asking, are you dating anyone?" Diego said blushing.
"Depends why your asking" She laughed.
"Well if your not, i was going to ask you to be my date to Brooke and Lucas's wedding next month. I"m coming back in a few weeks, but i didnt want to go alone" Diego explained.
"I'd love to" Lindsay smiled.
"Really?" He said surprised "You don't have a date already
"Nope.... matter of fact i havn't had a date in like a year" Lindsay laughed.
* Dillon woke up and looked at the clock... 3:30 in the morning, then he looked down, remembering what had happened earlier that night. Georgie lay next to him fast asleep. He couldn't help but smile, she was so beautiful. Her phone was next to him on the night table, it vibrated and he glanced at it, shit... three new voicemails... had to be Davis. and then it hit him, she was married, she had just had an affair. Not sure what to do he nudged her a little, she rolled over and smiled looking up at him.
"So it wasn't a dream" She laughed.
"No i t wasn't" Dillon smiled brushing some hair away from her face. "Georgie its 3:30 in the morning..."
"Holy shit" Georgie sat up quickly and Dillon frowned, she was going home to him. He had hoped she wouldn't leave this time.
She jumped out of bed getting dressed in a hurry. "God i hope he fell asleep, i hope he's not sitting up waiting for me... Jesus, what am i going to do?"
Dillon got out of bed getting dressed. He really had nothing to say, he was hurt, maybe he shouldn't have expected much, Brooke had warned him not to get his hopes up. But maybe if he just gave her some time. She went to run out the door and Dillon stepped infront of her.
"If you decide you want to be happy Georgie, i'm not going anywhere"' Dillon sighed.
"I have to go" She said tears welling up in her eyes. She had just had an affair.
* Georgie pulled into the long winding driveway with her lights off, his car was there. She was almost afraid to go inside. I'ts not like he would be able to tell,or that he even knew she was with Dillon, so what was there to be scared of. She would just say it was a late night out with the girls. Confident in her excuse she made her way to the door slipped her key in and crept into the dark house.
"Welcome home" She heard and looked up to see a light go on and Davis sitting there, staring at her.

Chapter 4
Georgie starred back at her husband, gathering her courage, preparing for the lies that were about to come from her mouth. She could see it in his eyes though... he knew something was up, and if she wasn't careful, if she let him shake her confidence, he would break right through her walls and discover the truth.
"Do you have any idea how worried i've been?" He said sweetly stepping toward her. This was weird, why was he acting sweet.... something was majorly off. She many not like her husband, but she knew him.
"I'm sorry, i was out with the girls, we had a little to drink, i just didn't want to drive until i was ready" She said smiling back at her husband. He stepped toward her and put his hand on her waist pulling her agianst him. "Actually i'm pretty beat, i think i'm gonna go get some sleep"
"Ok" He said calmly. Georgie walked up the stairs confused. He knew something was up, but was it possible he knew the truth? He could have had her followed, it wouldn't be the first time. Georgie went into her bathroom to change for bed. Pulling her shirt over her head, she noticed his scent all over her, a smile spread across her face thinking about how amazing he had been. How sweet and gentley he touched her. Maybe it was wrong, maybe she shouldn't have done it, but she loved every second of being with him.
* Dillon knew it was after noon, but had no intention of starting his day. He had been moping around in his robe all morning, thinking about n othing but how amazing it had been to be with her that way agian. Her skin was so soft, and she smelled so good.... if only she would leave that asshole and be with him again. Davis wasn't supposed to be her husband, he was.
Lucas knocked, and when he didn't get any answer decided to barge in. Its not like Dillon was with a girl, Dillon rarley dated after his cousin. "Quartermaine!" He yelled walking through the kitchen. Finding his best friend still in his robe and slippers, sprawled out on the couch. "What the hell happened to you?"
"Your Cousin.... we went to dinner last night..."
"Yea, Brooke told me... what did you do to her?" Lucas said angrily.
"I didn't do anything to her... " Dillon laughed.
"Ok, so what happened"
Dillon gave him a look, Lucas would flip out if he knew what happened. There was no way he could tell him.
"If you don't tell me right now i'm gonna kick the shit out of you" He said calmly.
"Fine... we went out had some drinks, got take out at Kelly's and came back here. I was showing her around, and we were in my room...."
"Whoa... whoa" Lucas said getting angry
"and she started kissing me, and i couldn't help myself any longer she looked so good man" Dillon explained.
"Wow... overshare... she's my cousin" Lucas yelled
"yea sorry"
"So you guys hooked up... she had an affair.. with you" Lucas laughed.
"That's funny?"
"Yes actually it is dude... considering, that Davis should have known better then to marry her. She's always been in love with you, and he married her anyway. The guy's a moron. Georgies like a trophy that he rubs in his brothers face... who by the way also happens to be in town... so you and Jay should be careful"
"Good lookin out Lucas...so any words of wisdom?"
"Get her to leave him" Lucas said suddenly becoming serious.
"What? Are you serious? Why don't you guys talk to her..."
"We have been Dillon... for two years, she's been drinking like crazy and she's been on anti depressants and taking his shit, and everyone, including Mac has told her to leave him, and she hasn't. And you know why? Because she thinks there's nothing else out there for her..." Lucas explained.
* Georgie walked down stairs, surprised to see Davis still home, maybe it was Saturday, but he usually worked anyway. He came out of the living room and into the kitchen. Georgie ignored him as usual, and poured herself a cup of coffee sitting down at the island and opening the paper. He stood infront of her, waiting for her attention. She knew he wouldnt go away until she listened, so she looked up.
"We need to talk Georgie" He said
"Ok... bout what"
"About our marriage" Davis said simplly. Georgies heart skipped a beat, could it be possible that he was just as miserable as she was? That he wanted out as bad as she did?
"Ok, go head..."
"I know we've been in a bit of a funk lately... but i think i figured out how to fix it" No such luck Georgie thought nodding her head for him to continue. "I think we should start a family... the one we used to talk about... lets have a baby"
Georie had run out of the house without saying a word to her husband. Everytime he spoke, she became more and more infuriated with herself for marrying him. The last thing they needed was a child, a defensless baby who would be caught up in the mess she had made of her life. Tears streamed down her face and she just kept driving, not sure of where she was going really, she just needed to be away from him and that god awful house.
She knocked on her cousins door praying he would be home. Finally she heard footsteps, the clicking of heels, and knew it must be Brooke. She opened the door and starred at her for a moment, before taking her friend in her arms and shutting the door.
"I'm sorry, I dont want to interrupt you guys"
"No Lucas just stepped out for a little while, i was working on some of the wedding plans. What happened G? What did he do now?"
"He wants to start a family.... have a baby!" Georgie cried.
"Georgie, you can't have children with that moron... please tell me you didn't say yes"
"No, i just ran out... and now i'm here..." Georgie was cut off by the sound of the door opening. Thank god Lucas was home.... but then she saw someone walk in behind him...someone with crazy hair, his scent filled the room and before she could see him she knew Dillon was there.
"Oh God... Georgie what happened?" Lucas said coming to her side. Dillon locked eyes with her for a long moment, wanting so bad to take all the pain away from them.
"Davis wants to work things out... and he thinks the only way to do it is by starting a family" Brooke explained. Georgie smacked her in the arm tearing her eyes away from Dillon's embarassed.
"Oh no way are you raising children with him, this is it Georgie, you have to leave him, you can't go on like this anymore" Lucas began to yell.
"Lucas we've been through this before" Georgie groaned. His solution from the very first fight she had with Davis up until now, was always to leave, and he was right, he had been all along, but she couldn't bring herself to do it.
"Georgie, your miserable, your wasting away... do you even eat anymore?" Brooke asked. Dillon looked her over as Georgie stood up walking into the kitchen for a glass of water. She had gotten way too skinny and she had a frown permanently etched into her once beautiful and lively face. "Why are you doing this to yourself when you know you could be happy, that you could do so much better then Davis Lansing"
"Brooke!" Georgie yelled. "If people said that about Lucas would you listen to them, would that make you leave him?"
"No i wouldn't ... but the difference between me and you Georgie is that i love Lucas, and you loathe Davis... he's your husband, the man your supposed to love for better or worse, you've been married two years and your starving yourself and drinking your liver into cierocis" Brooke said finally loosing her patience. Georgie said nothing this time, only cried harder.
"Georgie stop being such a coward...." Dillon spoke up finally. By the way she reacted he obviously had said the wrong thing, she picked up her coat and stormed out of the apartment, slamming the door behind her.

Chapter 5
Georgie knew Dillon was right, and so was Brooke. But they acted like it was so easy, just leave your husband, your home, a life you've built for two years, just walk away from it and hire a lawyer. Its not like she would be left with nothing, she had her business and made her own money and she had a family and friends who cared about her, and even Dillon now...
"Georgie" She heard her cousin behind her.
"Lucas... please..."
"No... i won't leave you alone" Lucas sighed. "Not anymore...." He said sitting down next to her. "Listen for two years now, i've been trying to let you live your life, and not be that angry kid who would have killed Davis by now that i was in high school. But i can't anymore, its killing you Georgie. And if you don't leave him, i 'm gonna kill him for not leaving you"
"Lucas please leave this alone, this is my life" Georgie said
"I'm calling Maxie... your going to stay with her"
"No Lucas stop it"
"Georgie, go home and pack your shit... or i'll call Dillon and Jay, and we'll go do it for you"
"Lucas, i dont want to leave him... i love him, i promise i'll stop drinking so much and i'll eat... just let me live my life"
"You dont love him" Dillon said walking onto the docks. Georgie turned to look at him, she was furious with him, how could he just walk back into her life and have the nerve to pass judgment... calling her a coward like he was any better.
"You know what Dillon how about you get out of my life and mind your own business..." Georgie yelled.
"You are my business" Dillon said calmly.
"No... thats where your wrong... you left me Dillon. You left Port Charles as soon as you could and never looked back. After all this time you have the nerve to just waltz back into town and act like you know anything about my life!?"
"She's right Dillon.." Lucas said angrily.
"What?" Dillon asked confused.
"Your supposed to be my best friend Dillon, and i love you man but you didn't just leave Port Charles you left us all." Lucas said, he knew it would hurt him, but it was something he had been wanting to say for years.
"Yea...your absolutley right, but that has nothing to do with this" Dillon said, not even trying to defend himself.
"Oh shut up Dillon" Georgie yelled.
"Please Georgie, you can't tell me the other night didn't mean something" Dillon smirked. Lucas started to laugh and Georgie shot him a glare.
"You told him!" Georgie screamed but Lucas just laughed harder.
"I'm gonna go now," Lucas said running off toward Kelly's.
Dillon stepped closer to her reaching out to brush a few tears away from her face. He was surprised that she didn't pull away, she was starring back into his eyes, crying harder now. She closed her eyes and her whole body began to shake with sobs. Dillon grabbed her and pulled her into a hug, holding her as tightly as he could.
"It's ok Georgie" He whispered. "I'm sorry i left, i'm sorry i hurt you... but you don't have to hurt anymore, it's not too late to make this all ok"
"I need to get out of here, he's probably already come looking for me" Geogie pulled away.
"Why don't you come back to the pent house with me, we can see little joey and your sister?" Dillon smiled. "Jay would love to see you"
"Ok... let's just get out of here" she said still crying.
* Lucas found Brooke exactly where he thought she'd be. Having tea at Kelly's. He sat down kissing her on her forehead.
"Everything ok?"
"Is Georgie ever ok?" Lucas sighed pouring himself some coffee. Bobby came out of the kitchen hearing her sons voice.
"Lucas!" She smiled.
"Hey ma" He hugged her smiling, it wasn't often they saw each other these days. She hugged Brooke next, they got alone so well, she had even helped Brooke plan some of the wedding.
"So Carly told me Dillon is in town... have you seen him?"
"Yea, so has Georgie..." Brooke groaned.
"Oh boy... here we go again" Bobbie laughed.
* Dillon walked in with Georgie right behind him. The room was empty. Jay had left a note saying they went out to dinner and would be back early. "Well why don't you go lay down for a little bit Georgie..." Dillon sighed. She looked so exhausted.
"Come with me" She whispered. Dillon took her hand, not bothering to try and say no to her, she would win out in the end anyway, she always did. He led her up the stairs and into his room. She layed down and reached for him n he layed down next to her starring into her eyes. He hated that they had become so full of saddness and wanted to take it away from.... if only she would let him.
"Georgie..." He said but stopped knowing there was n othing he could say or do to make this situation go away for her, she had to do it on her own. So instead he gave in to his heart and kissed her, he felt her hand rest on his neck and he wrapped his arms around her pulling her body against his. They kissed like this over and over until Dillon pulled his lips away from hers and rolled ontop of her kissing down her neck slowly and softly, he pushed her shirt up and started to kiss her stomach, her ribs stuck out and it killed him to see her so unhealthy.... "How could he do this to you..." Dillon whispered, kissing her over and over, wanting nothing more then to make her well again.
Georgie pulled him back up to her lips kissing him again. "Dillon..." She whispered resting her forehead against his.
"Let me make this better for you" He whispered.... "If you stay with me i can fix this"
"You can't possibly make this all go away Dillon" Georgie whispered and smiled loving that he wanted to do that for her. "I'm not ready to make that decision yet..."
"You don't have to make any decisions yet....I'm not going anywhere Georgie" Dillon whispered and kissed her again "Not this time" He kissed her again holding her against him tightly. "And when your ready, you'll leave him and we can be together like this...."
* Georgie walked into the hellhole later that night. Leaving him was the hardest thing she had ever done.... especially after they did things like that.... With a huge smile on her face she headed straight for the kitchen and hit play on the answering machine. Pouring herself a glass of wine she listened praying Davis had left one of his 'out on business for a week' messages.
"Georg... its Sage, i'm worried about you... and besides we need to gossip... i have the weirdest news and Oh! i saw Kyle...any way, meet me at Kelly's at 9 tomorrow before you head to the office...we'll get some breakfast... love ya.. bye"
"Hi this is Dr.Meadows from General hospital... just getting back to you Mr.Lansing, i have some appointments available coming up, so give me a call when you get this, and congratulations on deciding to start a family"
Georgie stood there with a wine glass in her hand in utter shock. She had thought that maybe he was just fucking around with her, playing mind games, Davis did that, but he was serious? He wants Children? and with her?

Chapter 6
Georgie walked out of work exhausted. She had purposley been working ten to twelve hour days, praying that by the time she got home, Davis would be out or asleep. She couldn't handle another "lets have a baby" discussion this week. He was pushing her as hard as she could, but she knew she had a choice to make. Either have a baby and make it work with the husband from hell, or get out while she still could.
She had to meet Brooke this afternoon for her final bridesmaid fitting. They were having an engagment party tonight and the wedding was this weekend. Lucas and Brooke were finally getting married. They deserved to be happy, and at the end of the day, they were the only thing in the whole world that made each others lives better. Her phone rang and she glanced down... Lucas again.
"Hey Cuz" Georie laughed, he was so nervous it was adorable.
"Yea Hi... ummmm what are you doing?" Lucas asked
"On my way to my dress fitting...Lucas you ok?"
"Ummm sort of, just nerves i guess..... you leave the prick yet G?"
"Lucas don't start"
"No... i will start, because if i'm going to be blissfuly happy for the rest of my life... you should be too. Even Maxie somehow found someone she's happy with... this has got to end Georgie"
"Goodbye Lucas" Georgie said hanging up.
Georgie walked into the shop only to see Dillon standing there. She should have expected this, he was the best man afterall. He smiled when they locked eyes.
"Hi... fitting?"
"Yea...unfortunatley" Dillon sighed "Can you believe they're finally getting married?"
"I'll believe it when i see it" Georgie said and they both laughed.
"So are you ok..." Dillon asked.
"Ok? I don't know about ok... but i'll live"
"Georgie i hate him" Dillon said suddenly
"What?"
"I feel like he's got you trapped in this hellhole and your refusing to leave him... and i know that you should be with me" He rambled stepping closer to her.
"Ok were all set" The attendent said coming out of the back with Dillon's suit. Dillon took it from her and thanked her.
"Listen, come see me, i'm working out of my apartment for the rest of the week..." Dillon said. He sighed, hoping she would come and kissed her on the cheek before leaving.
* After the fitting Georgie wondered what to do. Should she go back to work and sit in her office with nothing to do, go home and face Davis.... or go see Dillon. She knew it was obviously the worst possible choice but she couldn't help it. She thought back to earlier... how close he had come to her, he had smelled so good, that smell reminded her so much of what it was like to kiss him to be his again.
Before she really knew where she was going, she found herself knocking on the door to Dillon's apartment. She had contemplated all the way over here what was more important to her, her pride, or her happiness. She could start a new life with Dillon, if he would have her...
The door flew open and he looked surprised to see her. She immediatley realized, that he wasn't alone, infact his company was none other then her friend Sage, who also looked surprised to see her standing there.
"Dillon... i'm gonna go, give me a call ok?" She said and kissed him on the cheek "See you tonight G" She said walking down the hallway. Georgie turned to walk away but Dillon grabbed her arm, draggging her inside.
"Let me go!" She cried stubbornly and Dillon laughed. He shut the door and stood infront of it so she couldn't leave.
"Georgie relax, its not what you think"
"I dont even care really, i'm married so whatever..."
"Yes you do, don't lie to yourself Georgie" Dillon said, and he couldn't help it anymore, she was so gorgeous all dressed up in a business suit and heels. And she was jealous, which made him want her even more. He grabbed her waist and pulled her against him.
"If it's not what i think, then what is it Dillon?" Georgie said refusing to uncross her arms no matter how close he was.
"Sage wanted to get Kyle off her back, so i told her since i didn't have a date i would take her to the wedding...just friends..." Dillon explained smiling down at her.
"Oh.." Geogie laughed. "Sorry, blast from the past i guess"
"Kind of like seeing you with Davis"
"Dillon ..." Geogie said. But she knew, she couldn't say anything right now that could possibly make it better. So instead she kissed him and wrapped her arms around his neck. She knew this would only lead to one place... but she wanted it. So maybe that was her decision, she wanted this feeling, so she had to leave him. Out of breath Georgie pulled away smiling
"What's wrong?"
"Dillon... I'm gonna leave him" She said happily.
"Yea?" he asked a huge smile spreading over his face. "Your sure"
"Yea"
"Oh thank god" Dillon said bringing his lips back to hers. Georgie pushed him back against the door agressivley as they kissed. "Georgie i'm not trying to push you... i just...i love you so much"
"I love you too" She smiled. Dillon smiled and kissed her again as he picked her up and brought her into his bedroom.

Chapter 7
Gerogies head was spinning. She could barley open her eyes it felt so good. She felt like she was 17 again and all her problems had faded away. As Dillon kissed her neck she let out quiet moans, urging him to continue. And for the first time in what seemed like forever she took a deep breath and let it out and the knots in her stomach that she had gotten so used to had disapeared and were replaced with the butterflies that always came along with Dillon Quartermaine.
She hadn't made love like that since they had broken up so long ago."Oh Dillon..." She whispered as he continued to kiss her gently from head to toe. "I miss you so much..."
"Me too baby... you have no idea.... i need you so much" he said looking into her eyes and brush a curl away from her face.
"god that was... so amazing" Georgie blushed, she felt so exhausted and all she wanted to do was stay right were she was.
"He obviously isn't making you happy Georgie...not like i can" Dillon smiled seductivley his lips making their way down her neck again. He reached her stomach and stopped noticing for the first time how much her figure had changed, her ribs were visible and her stomach was sunken in "He's not taking care of you...look at how skinny he let you get... promise your leaving him..." He said begining to kiss her again.
"I Promise" She whispered happily. "But god Dillon, what do i say to him...I'm sorry i ever married you.... i've been having an affair..." Georgie laughed nervously.
"You don't owe him any explanations Georgie, he had his chance to make you happy, and he didn't, its that simple" Dillon explained
Brook and Lucas knew they were going to be late to their own engagment party, but neither cared and planned on moving anytime soon. Lucas rolled off of her and smiled.
"mmmm i love you" Brooke said out of breath and crawled back onto him stradeling his lap she leaned over and started kissing his chest.
"Are you trying to kill me woman" He laughed
"Please... just one more time?" she begged
"Baby.." he laughed "thats already the third time today, besides we have to be at the grille in an hour..."
"So we'll be a little late...." She laughed "It'll be worth it... i promise" She smiled as her lips made their way down his stomach.
"Nobody will miss us" Lucas said placing his hand on her face and bringing her lips back to his.
"they won't even notice were missing..." Brooke giggled taking the sheet that had been wrapped around her body and throwing it to the floor.
Maxie could always tell when her husband was worried about their safety, and right now he was. He had been jumpy and quiet all day.
"Jay.... tell me whats going on... please" she said finally breaking down, he had snapped at her for the third time that day, this time it was because she had put his brief case in the coat closet when he came home from the wharehouse earlier.
"Maxie... you know i cant."
"Oh yea... Sonny's orders right? Well screw Sonny Corinthos, he may be your boss Jay..." Maxie said grabbign him by the arm roughly and making him face her "but i'm your wife and i deserve an explanation..."
"I have to call Dillon, go get dressed or we'll be late for the engagment party" Jay said coldly. Maxie shook her head furiously and stormed up the stairs, the knot in her stomach became tighter, and she knew something was terribly wrong.

Chapter 8
Dillon walked into the party with Sage on his arm. He looked around the room his niece and best friend catching his eye. He smiled, wishing it was him getting married. He had never seen either of them so happy. Especially Lucas, he had grown up with a cloud hanging over him, and somehow she made that disappear from his life. He used to be such an angry person, he had this tough exterior that nobody could ever get through, nobody except Brook Lynn Ashton that is.
Lucas starred at his wife to be. He watched her every move as she moved about the room greeting their friends and family. She looked gorgeous as usual and he was stuck in one of those moments where he couldn't believe this was happening and he knew that she was too good for him. She turned toward him smiling happily. "I'm so excited Lucas" She said placing her hands on the side of his face
"Me too baby" He whispered kissing her lightly on the lips. "I love you... your perfect"
"oh stop.... " Brooke laughed but was cut off by Georgie entering the room with her husband
"Great... she brought dipshit" Lucas groaned.
"Hey... tonight is our night, for once can it not be about saving Georgie?" Brooke asked.
"Ofcoarse..."
Georgie groaned as his arm tightened around her. She had gone home and Davis met her at the door with a bottle of champagne and the announcment that he was running for D.A. It seemed like just yesterday they were seventeen and he was purposley causing car accidents and drunken fights with Lucas and Dillon at keg parties. She immediatley locked eyes with Dillon and bit her lip, trying to stop the inevitable smile that came over her face. He smiled back and quickly looked away before any one could notice.
Georgie ran over to Brooke smiling from ear to ear. "You look amazing" Georgie said looking her up and down.
"Well i have to say .... im impressed G you look awesome, and your smiling" Brooke hugged her.
"Yea well... lets just say i finally took the advice of my dear cousin..." She said
"Your not...?"
"Bags are packed.... im telling him when we get home tonight" Georgie smiled again and they both squeeled and jumped up and down like they did when they were fifteen and a cute boy asked them out. "But tonights about you and Lucas.... so we'll talk about this later ok?" Brooke nodded her head happily.
By the end of the night Dillon had gotten so tired of staring at her that he had his head on the table in an effort to fall asleep. But that didn't help because he could hear her voice, and then he could see her in his head anyway. Finally he gave up and stood up putting his suit jacket on and storming out of the ballroom. Without anyone noticing Georgie excused herself to the bathroom and followed him.
"Dillon" She called out to him just before he went into the mens room.He turned around unsure of what to say or do. "I'm telling him tonight... my bags are packed and waiting for me when i get home in the closet.
"When you leave... where are you going?"
"i guess to Maxie's"
"Come stay with me...." Dillon said gave her one last look and walked into the mens room praying that for once, she meant it.
Georgie sat staring out the window silently on the car ride home. Davis was on his cell phone with his father discussing the election and to be completley honest if she had to talk about it for one more second she would vomit all over her new jimmy choos. Besides, she had better things to think about... like Dillon. Why they had ever split up was hard for her to figure out.
(*Flashback*)
Georgie threw her empty water bottle into her duffel bag and headed out of the locker room. She would change later, she was in a hurry to find Dillon and congradulate him like only she could. He had played the best game she had ever seen and couldnt wait to give him a big kiss. Brooke followed close behind her with the same intentions for Lucas. She walked out into the parking lot and there he stood wearing a baggy PC High Football sweatshirt and jeans, his hair wet and messy from showering and his gear thrown over his sholder as he made his way to his car.
Dillon turned around just in time to see his girlfriend running toward him. He grabbed her and spun her around smiling at how perfect his life was now that he had her. "mmmm i love you" He groaned in between kisses. She giggled and kissed him again. "Did Mac say you could come out tonight?"
"Yes!" Georgie smiled happily "Maxie's gonna take me home to change, i just wanted to get out here as fast as i could so i could tell you how awesome you did tonight... im very impressed Mr. Quartermaine"
Dillon leaned her up against the car "mmmm never change.... you look so hott" He laughed kissing her neck and letting a hand run up her thigh.
"Dillon Stop!" Georgie squeeled "Were in the parking lot!"
"Who cares..." He whispered."I think you should wear this uniform more often..."
"I'm leaving now perv...." Georgie said pushing him away "I'll see you at the party.... i love you"
"Love you too gorgeous" Dillon laughed watching her run off.
**
Georgie walked into her house and looked around one last time. Davis had no idea what was about to happen, but he deserved it. Nobody believed she was actually leaving him, but she was, for once she meant what she said and had no intention of backing out now. She walked up to her room and started bringing down suit cases to her car. One by one, Davis sat in his office drinking, and had no idea that his wife was in the process of leaving him.
Georgie grabbed the last suitcase her new leather d&g bag and her car keys and left the bedroom from hell for the last time. She walked past Davis's office for the last time "Have a nice life..." She said taking off her ring and setting it on the kitchen counter.
"Where are you going...?" He asked finally noticing she was on her way out.
"Far away from you Davis.... you'll be hearing from my lawyer..."
"What? You can't be serious Georgie"
"Goodbye Davis" Georgie laughed got in her Rover and pulled out of the garage thankful that it was finally over.
Brooke and Lucas layed back on the bed exhausted. She snuggled up to him, a huge smile on her face. Her life had been so great for so long now. She and Lucas had no secrets, they were best friends, they were in love and things were amazing. She thought back to high school, when things had gotten really crazy and it was amazing they had made it through everything and were still so in love. There were no conditions or complications, not like it had become with Dillon and Georgie, they were just simply in love and happy.
"I can't wait until the wedding ...." Lucas whispered pulling her as close as he could. "I can't believe this is finally happening..."
"Lucas, you don't have any doubts right?" Brooke asked curiously.
"Not since we were fifteen .... i knew that day we had our first kiss, that i loved you, and this was it for me..." He said and Brooke sat up and looked into his eyes, sometimes he just surprised her so much. She kissed him and layed back down.
"Me too Lucas..."
"And we can finally have a baby....if your ready i mean" Lucas said trying not to mention her accident.
"Oh i'm ready..." She smiled seductivley climbing back ontop of him. "I Love you so much."
Maxie sat in a lounge chair on the balcony of the penthouse over looking the city. She herself was thinking back to when she first met Jay, before things got so complicated for them, before Jay and Dillon had gotten in so deep and she wondered how she ever thought that this would be so easy. Being young and naiive she assumed that because she loved Jay, and he loved her, that it would be enough, and everything else would just work itself out. After the engagment party they came home to spend some alone time together, and as usual he got a phone call and ran out. Maxie found herself alone again, not knowing how she was going to make a marriage work by herself.
She could hear Joey start crying from his room across the hall from theirs and she lost it. Tears began to pour down her face and she wrapped her arms around herself beginging to sob uncontrollably. She might as well be a single mother on her own. The worst part was that she knew nothing was going to change, she had vowed to love this man through the good and the bad, and thats what she was going to do. And for the first time that night her sister came to mind, and she realized why Georgie hadn't left Davis already, nothing was ever as easy as it sounded.
Georgie was crying hysterically by the time she reached Dillon's pent house. She was pretty sure he had her followed all the way there, and as she got out of her car another car came flying into the parking garage. She grabbed her bag and ran inside and to the elevator she heard someone shouting as the elevator doors closed
"There she goes!"
When the elevator stopped she took a deep breath and ran out down the hall. She knocked on Dillons door rapidly hearing voices coming up the stairwell. The door swung open and She ran inside not realizing she wasn't alone with Dillon.
"Someone's following me... he had me followed" She stammered out hysterically. "I told him i was leaving .... "
There was another knock at the door and Georgie fell silent. "Georgie go in the bathroom and lock the door" Sonny ordered her, Georgie turned around realizing she must have walked in on some kind of meeting, Sonny, Jason and Jay all sat in Dillon's living room.
"Go Georgie" Jay said as the knocking persisted. Georgie ran into the bathroom and Dillon swung the door open angrily.
"Hello i'm looking for Mrs. Georgie Lansing" A tall man in a suit said.
"She's not here"
"We saw her enter the apartment Mr. Quartermaine... her husband is requesting her presence..."
"I believe the man said she wasnt here" Sonny said coming to Dillons side at the door.
"Please sir... were just doing our job..."
"Which entails what exactly? Stalking young women so that thier husbands can stop them from leaving?" Sonny yelled. "Tell Mr. Lansing Justus will be contacting him, until then if he needs any further contact with his wife, tell him to give myself or Jason a call and we'll help him in whatever way we can" He finished and slammed the door in their face.
Georgie came out of the bathroom still crying. "I'm sorry guys, i had no idea..."
"No it's fine Georgie.." Jason said "We were finished anyway, we'll call you tomorrow Dillon to finalize things" They all shook hands and Jay gave her a hug and kiss
"Feel better girl.... call me if he gives you any problems" Jay said walking out the door.
Dillon looked over at her she was an absolute mess crying, her whole body was shaking. He walked over to her and smiled a little, he didnt mean to, but the fact that she had actually left him and come straight to him, was amazing.
"What?" Georgie said sadly
"You did it....you really left him"
"Yea.... i told you i would. I love you Dillon i dont want to hide it anymore." Georgie said finally smiling. She knew if she didnt do something they would end up talking and analyzing the situation to death. So she kissed him and dropped her bag to the floor as she wrapped her arms around his neck
Dillon picked her up and Georgie giggled wrapping her legs around his waist as he stumpled through the apartment and into his room. Georgie unbuttoned his shirt and slid her hands inside his shirt running her fingers up and down his smooth chest."...mmm Dillon" Georgie giggled happily. He layed her back on the bed and threw her shirt to the floor followed by his. His lips imediatley returning to hers.
"God your so beautiful...." He smiled
"I'm never leaving you again..." Georgie said moaning. "This feels so good..."
"mmmm get used to it" Dillon smiled
Davis paced the floor angrily. Kyle sat in his living room staring at him, he knew this would happen eventually anyway so he couldnt even pretend to be shocked.
"I can't just let her go" He yelled
"So dont.... drag the divorce out man...."
"That will only make her more mad"
"Yes true... but it will also give you enough time to win the election for DA and take down The Corinthos Family which by the way includes Jason Morgans protege Dillon Quartermaine..."
"Your a genious... by the time the papers are ready to be signed I'll have Dillon Quartermaine in prison for the rest of his life" Davis smirked.
