Author Note:
What you need to know: Elizabeth and Jason have never met before, and Jason is a professional race car driver. This does not take place in Port Charles, because of how small the city it is. But all the characters from the show will remain who there are. Jason and Courtney did take place, but not everything happened like it happened it in the show.
Elizabeth is now a waitress in a small restaurant. Lucky did die in the fire, and left Elizabeth heart broken. She moved on very slowly, but got on with her life.
***Thanks to Nette for all the editing she did. So Thanks for everything. Oh, and let me know that you think of this.

Chapter 1
At Daytona Speedway, there are cars that go around and around the track. All longing to cross the finish line first. There are 42 drivers, hoping to finish, and not crash, making them survive yet another week. Pit crews communicate with the drivers, as they make the next lap.
Across town, there are customers in booths and tables, waiting for there food, and their drinks. Waitress in a pale pink uniform, rushing around the small dinner trying to fulfill everyone’s wants, and needs. Two people who have two different paths, all they need is fate to mess with them.
Jason finished the race, coming in 2nd place. That would just have to do, he thought to himself. Sometimes, between races, autographs, endorsement deals, he felt like he had no life. Sonny; Jason’s manager on the 77 car, had been nagging him, that he needed to loosen up a little more, for him to win a race. He headed back into the RV to wash, and change, he wanted to get out as quick as possible. He had just spent 4 ½ hours in a car, and he was hungry.
He heard the guys talking about a burger joint across town, and he thought he might go check it out. But he had to call his sister. She would worry about him, if she didn’t talk to him. He knew that by racing he was only hurting himself, and his family. Emily couldn’t bare to watch her big brother on tv, even though that was his job. So he called after the race, just to let her know that he was still alive.
After making that quick call, and leaving a message on her machine, he hopped into the shower. Then he slipped on a pair of old jeans, and a green polo shirt. He grabbed his sunglasses, and his hat and left. He slowly walked to his BMW in a hurry, to escape the crowd. He saw Sonny standing at his car, waiting to talk to him.
He didn't want to deal with Sonny. Sonny didn’t have that look of disgust on his face, he had the look of content.
“What do you want?” Jason asked. “I want you to take a few days off, and don’t worry about anything. Just go home, and get a good night rest. Be in Dover, Delaware on Friday afternoon. I think your problem is that you worry too much about things. Ok.” Sonny said.
“Fine, I was just about to go to that diner, which the guys recommended. Want to join me?” Jason asked Sonny.
“Sure, Carly, not expecting me back for a couple of hours. I could go for a good hamburger. Are you going to dinner at the diner across town?”
“Yeah, I thought that I would try that out. Did you like it?” Jason asked.
“Yeah, I really liked that place, it’s kind of small, and the waitress’ are nice. You have to meet this girl, who waited on us before, she's gorgeous.” Sonny said.
“Sonny, it’s not going to work. I had a bad relationship last time, and I don’t want to be in a relationship right now.” Jason said.
“Jason, did I say that I was fixing you up with her, I just told you that she was cute, and to set the record straight, Courtney, was an idiot for only wanting you for your money. So with that said, let’s go eat.”
They got in the car, and headed across town.
“Liz, your orders up.” Penny said.
Liz, dragged her feet, to the kitchen. She was exhausted, and she still had another hour yet. She had been feeling like this all week. After the break up with her boyfriend, he left her with his debt. She had no choice but to work long hours to pay it off along with rent on her crappy apartment. She had to live in that rat infested place with no hot water most of the time. The neighbors upstairs would bang on the walls of the apartment. She needed a miracle. Her dream was to find another job, or a second job, to pay her way out of debt.
Jason and Sonny walked through the light green painted door, and inside to the air conditioned diner. The place was titty, and friendly. The brown haired waitress greeted them at the door, and escorted them to there seat.
“Elizabeth, do you feel like taking this one? There are two handsome guys at table 5, and only one of them is wearing a wedding ring. I’ll take them if you don’t want to?” Penny asked.
Elizabeth walked up to the two men sitting at the table. “Hi, my name is Elizabeth, I’ll be your waitress this afternoon, what can I get you to drink?” She asked, Sonny and Jason.
“I’ll have an ice tea.” Jason said.
“I’ll have the same.”
“Are you ready to order or would you like a couple more minutes to decide?” Elizabeth asked.
“I’m ready to order, are you Jason?” Sonny asked. With the nod of Jason head it told her that they were ready to order. “I’ll have the Speedway burger, with French fries.” Sonny said handing her the menu.
“I’ll have the deluxe Chicken Caesar Salad, with a side order of applesauce.” Jason said, as Elizabeth wrote it down on her pad, and hurried off to place the orders.
“Is that the girl that the guys were a talking about?” Jason whispered to Sonny.
“Yeah, what do you think of her? Isn’t she gorgeous?” Sonny asked.
“Yeah, but something is on her mind. She seemed like she wanted this day to be over. She didn’t look well.”
Elizabeth placed there orders in the kitchen, and headed to the break room for an aspirin. Her head was killing her, and she couldn’t get the feeling of dread out of her head. Ever since lazy boy Ric took all her money, and left her to deal with everything else. She needed this job, and she needed another one that paid more.
She walked out of the break room, and delivered more orders to the customers. When she reached Jason and Sonny’s table with their meal, something came over her that she was about to be sick. She basically through the plates on the table, and ran in the opposite direction to the bathroom with her hand over her mouth.
Jason felt sorry for the poor girl, so he ran after her. He even followed her into the restroom. Sonny being curious of what was going on, followed them.
“Can’t a girl get a little bit of privacy?” She said between throwing up when Sonny walked into the room. Sonny dismissed himself, seeing that Jason had everything under control.
When Elizabeth was finished throwing up, she was exhausted. “Who are you?” Elizabeth asked the guy that held her hair back while she threw up.
“I’m Jason, let me take you home, you shouldn’t be working right now.”
“But I have to finish my shift.” Elizabeth protested.
“I’ll take care of it. You just let me help you to my car, and we'll you get you home right now.” All Elizabeth could do is agree. Jason walked Elizabeth to his car, and then he went back inside to get her some soup, that he made Sonny order.
When he came back to his car he found Elizabeth asleep. He had no idea where her house was, so maybe he should just head home to Port Charles with her, and then he could take her back after the race on Sunday. He already told Penny that she won’t be in for a few days.

Chapter 2
When he was driving the trip, he realized that Elizabeth was kind of pale. He wondered if he should take her to the hospital. He pulled into the emergency entrance, and let the doctors take care of her. He shared the little that he knew of her background, then he went to park the car.
When he entered the hospital he asked to see her. “Are you family?” The nurse asked him.
He couldn’t lie, but he knew that if he told her that he wasn’t family, that he wouldn’t be able to see her. What’s this one lie going to do to her? “Yeah, I’m her husband, Mr. Morgan. My wife Elizabeth was brought in hear a few moments before, but I might have given you her maiden name, because we were just married last night.” Boy Elizabeth was going to kill him when she woke up.
The nurse looked her up in computer, and directed him to her room. Elizabeth was lying on her back with her eyes closed. She looked so fragile that he wanted to go over and hold her in his arms.
“The doctor will be right in.” The nurse said to Jason.
Jason sat next to her bed, when the doctor walked in. “Mr. Morgan, your wife is going to be fine. How is our patient?” Elizabeth stirred, and woke up to find herself in a hospital bed.
“Mrs. Morgan relax, as I was telling your husband you are going to be fine, You’ll only have to take care of yourself for the next 8 months. You’re pregnant.” The doctor said.
“What did you just call me? What did you say?” Elizabeth asked the doctor.
“Elizabeth don’t you remember that we got married last night, so I gave him my last name, because it is now yours. Isn’t it exciting, were going to be parents?” Jason asked her. Elizabeth was in total shock. She didn’t remember getting married, and now she’s pregnant. She felt dizzy.
The doctor left the room. Then Jason explained what was going. Elizabeth had fear written on her face.
“I thought I was out of it, but I don’t remember us getting married.” Elizabeth said.
“If you don’t mind me asking, where’s the father? Do you have a boyfriend?” Jason asked avoiding her question.
“AHHHH. No I don’t have a boyfriend he left me in a lurch. How am I going to explain this to everyone. How am I going to pay all the bills? I can’t do this.” Elizabeth said out loud.
“Hey calm, down stress isn’t good for the baby, don’t worry about it I’ll take care of everything. Where’s your clothes, I’ll take you back to your place, and we’ll go from there. I won’t tell anyone what is going on.” Jason said to her.
When the doctor’s dismissed Elizabeth, she gave Jason directions to her house, and then fell asleep in the passenger side of the car. When Jason arrived at the address that she gave him, he saw that it wasn’t really a place to raise a baby, and it wasn’t welcoming. He shook Elizabeth to tell her that he had the wrong building.
“We’re here.” Jason said, as he woke Elizabeth. Elizabeth woke with a start, and opened her eyes, and felt embarrassed at the sight of the building.
“Thank you,” Elizabeth said. “For everything, but you don’t have to come up with me.”
“Well humor me, and let me walk you to your door.” Jason said, as they walked up into her tiny apartment. Jason noticed that it was no place to raise a baby or live in.
“Would you like a drink of water?” Elizabeth asked.
“Yes, if you don’t mind.” Jason said. This would give Jason time to check out everything. Jason noticed that Elizabeth had a stack of bills that were past due, and a work schedule that required more work then sleeping. He couldn’t let her live like this.
Jason’s cell phone rang, as Elizabeth returned with his glass of water.
“Hey Em, no I’m fine. I’m still in Dover, yes I’ll be home soon. Do you need me to pick up anything? Okay, I’ll stop on my way home. Yes, I love you to. Bye.” Jason hung up the cell phone, and took a sip of his water.
“Thank you Elizabeth. Can you go pack a bag?” Jason said.
“Why am I going to pack a bag? I’m not going anywhere.”
“Elizabeth, you and the baby can’t live here like this. I won’t allow it. One, you work too much, and two it’s not safe in here. Since you have no one to take care of you, I’m your last resort.” Jason said.
“You can’t do this, I have work, and these bills to pay for, and my whole life is here. I’m not leaving. And first of all your wife won’t like it.”
“Do I have to pack a bag for you I will, and the only wife that I will have is you. We’re getting married so that everyone thinks that this baby is mine. So you will be living with me in my house as husband and wife.” Jason said.
“We’re doing no such thing. I won’t allow it.” Elizabeth said.
“Elizabeth what choice do you have? You live in a place like this, and you have bills that need to be paid. You can’t afford a decent couch, let alone baby stuff. And what are you going to tell your parents, when they ask who the father is?” Jason said.
“I’ll deal with it later.” Elizabeth said.
“Where is the clothes bag, I’ll pack it for you. I’m not leaving here without you, even if it means dragging you out of her.”
“It’s not fair to you, for you have to take care of everything. It’s my problem and I will handle it.” Elizabeth said.
“It’s not your problem anymore. I want in, and I’m going to make things better for you and the baby. If you’re worried about the baby, I’ll claim it as my own and adopt it. I will help you raise it too. So please go pack a bag, and later I’ll send someone to get the rest of your things, Please!” Jason begged.
“But what about work? How am I ever going to pay you back?” Elizabeth asked.
“The only thing that you have to do is not run away from the house I provide you. You can do anything in the house, you can get a job, but I have to make sure that it won’t be hurting the baby or you. That’s all I ask. Do we have a deal?”

Chapter 3
“You don’t have to take care of me. I’m fine taking care of myself, ” Elizabeth said.
“I know that you can take care of yourself, but think about how your family will feel. Once you tell them,” Jason said.
“I can’t do this. No I will not take charity. No please leave,” Elizabeth said pointing to the door.
“I’ll leave because I don't want to upset you. I will be back to get you like it or not. You are leaving with me even if I have to drag you with out,” Jason said.
“Leave now,” Elizabeth said, almost breaking down in tears.
Jason left her place, and called his sister. Maybe if he told her the problem, she would consider coming down here, and convince Elizabeth to live with them.
“Hey Em, I need a favor.”
“Yeah, it’s my baby, and she won’t let me take care of her or the baby. Will you come down here with Johnny to convince her that she and the baby need me? Please do it for your favorite brother. Thanks.”
Jason went to the airport after getting off the phone with his sister. He waited for them to land. They could have drove, but the airplane was quicker.
Jason greeted them with a smile, but Emily was more skeptical to see him. “Jase, why can’t you convince her to come and live with you? I mean if you created a baby together, then why can’t you convince her to come and stay?” Emily asked.
“Em, She feels like she is a burden to me. I can’t seem to convince her to move in with me,” Jason said.
“So you really love her, don’t you. By the way how far along is she?” Emily asked.
“The doctor told us that she was 6 weeks pregnant.”
“Where did you meet her?” Johnny asked.
“She works over in this diner across town.” Jason replied.
“Will you take me to her?” Emily said.
“Yeah.”
There was a knock on Elizabeth's door. She didn’t feel like getting up. “I’ll be right there.”
When Elizabeth opened her door she saw a woman, a man, and Jason standing outside of it. Elizabeth tried to close it, but Emily was faster. Yeah, Emily thought, she must like Jason, because he is the same way.
“Before you say anything, I’m Emily; Jason’s sister. Can I talk to you?” Emily asked her.
“I guess, just as long as those two stay outside,” Elizabeth said pointing to Jason and Johnny standing outside her door with their arms crossed. After the the door closed in their face, Jason and Johnny gave each other a look.
“I thought that if she loved you, she would at least let you in the house,” Johnny said. Jason ignored the question and gave Johnny a look that implied "you don’t need to know".
“Elizabeth, why don’t you want to live with Jason? He will take care of you and the baby.” Emily questioned the woman.
“He doesn’t have to take care of me or the baby,” Elizabeth told her.
“It’s his child too, why wouldn’t he want to take care of you and the baby. Look, I know that you just found out that you’re pregnant and it's a big shock to you. But I have never seen my brother this bothered about anything in my life.” Emily told her.
“But the baby…..”
Jason had been waiting out in the hall far too long. He wasn’t going to wait any longer. He barged into her room. Elizabeth and Emily both looked shock. Jason went right over to Elizabeth, and kissed her.
“Johnny go and pack her bags. We’ll come back for the rest later.” Jason ordered.
“No!” said Elizabeth as she stood up, looking fierce.
“Sorry sister, you have given me no choice, this baby is mine, and I’m taking care of it, whether you like it or not.” Jason said.
Jason picked Elizabeth up off the bed. She started kicking and screaming. He made his way through the door. Johnny grabbed what he had packed, and followed Emily and Jason to the SUV. Jason yanked the door open and placed Elizabeth in the front seat, while Johnny and Emily climbed in the back. Jason walked to the other side, got in the truck and drove off.
Elizabeth looked out of the window as Jason drove. “Em, how is everything going at the house? Is it still standing?” Jason asked his sister.
“Yeah, smart alleck, it is still standing. Oh, I wanted to do some remodeling, but since Elizabeth is moving in now she might want to do it. She has more right to it then I do,” Emily said.
“Em, I would never kick you out of the house, even after Elizabeth and I get married. But you are welcome to go stay with Mom and Dad. I thought you were staying with me because you couldn't stand being at home.
“Em, you don’t have to leave on my account. You can drop me off at my parents,” Elizabeth said.
“And tell them what, Emily said, that the reason we dropped you off is to avoid contact with the father of your child".
“Elizabeth do you know what you want to do with the nursery? Do you know what you are having?” Emily asked her.
“No, I haven’t decided what to do. By the way where are we going?” She asked.
“We’re going home, to our house in New York. I forgot that you have never been there. We are going to get you settled in. Then I have to go to Denver for the race on Friday,” Jason said.
Elizabeth hadn’t spoken much during the trip to NY. When they arrived home, Elizabeth wasn’t too happy to be there. Jason escorted her up to his room.
“Elizabeth I know that you aren’t happy to be here, but I meant what I said earlier about getting married. We can get married before I go to Denver. We will have to sleep in my room to avoid any suspicion about our relationship.
You can have anything you want. Just ask for it. The only thing that I ask of you is for you to accompany me to the race, so the media will think our relationship is real,” Jason said.
“Are you serious about this Jason? We might not get away with this. No one will believe us. I think that it would be best if we just canceled everything.” Elizabeth said.
“Relax. No, were not going to cancel it, because the media will eventually pick up that you are pregnant, and then they are going to be camping out at your door and mine, and then were going have to explain to your family and then mine. I rather have that out of the way, and getting married is just easier for the both of us, and the baby. Here we have the bathroom. It has a hot tub in it. I’ll go get you a robe. When you’re done with your bath come and get me so I can give you a tour of the place,” said Jason.
Tomorrow you and Emily can go shopping to pick up anything you want.
Elizabeth studied the room to find a way to escape. She had to get out of that place.

Chapter 4
When Jason entered the room he caught Elizabeth tying the bed sheets together. “I hope that you don’t plan on going out the window like that?” Jason asked as he gave her the look of death.
“It’s not safe climbing out the window. If you want to leave go through the front door. How will you explain your pregnancy and the father's absence to Emily and your family."
“But that’s just it you are not the father, and I don’t see why we have to get married,” Elizabeth said, looking straight into his eyes.
“Is your family religious?” Jason asked.
“Yeah, they go to church every Sunday, but what does that have to do with anything?” she asked.
“Most people who are religious can’t imagine their daughter as a single parent. Take it from me. My mother was a single mother, and she had a hard time. One day she gave me away to a loving family that was capable of giving me a better life. There were many times when she couldn’t afford groceries. Do you want that to happen to you?” Jason asked.
“I guess not, but why do we have to get married?”
“Elizabeth, I went without a father for 10 years. No kid should be without a father. I might not be the baby’s biological father, but I’m willing to take care of you and the baby and raise it as my own.”
Elizabeth was near tears, she knew that there was no way she could take care of the baby alone and hold down to two jobs. When would she find time to care for the baby.
“Please, Elizabeth. We can get married in a few hours, and no one would know. We can tell both our parents that we're married and expecting our first child. They won’t suspect anything or question our actions. Please think it over,” Jason said.
Elizabeth couldn’t hold back the tears any longer. Jason saw her crying and went over to comfort and took her into his arms. It amazed him how well she fit into his arms. Jason looked down at Elizabeth and realized she had fallen asleep. He carefully picked her up from her spot, put her on the bed and pulled the cover over her.
When Elizabeth awoke the next morning, Jason was asleep next to her. Her eyes felt like sandbags. Her teeth felt dirty, and she was as stiff as a board. She tried getting out of bed, but realized that she couldn’t stand up. Jason felt her stir, went over to her bedside and helped her into the bathroom. He turned on the water to the hot tub, then gave her a towel, robe, and tooth brush to use. Then he headed downstairs.
Jason wore an orange t-shirt with graphics. He drank a cup of coffee as Elizabeth entered the room wearing Emily’s clothes. He offered her a smile, and a cup of chamomile tea.
“I thought that you and Emily could go shopping for clothes today, or would you rather me go with you when I return from my meeting in town,” Jason said.
“Your town still has town meetings?” Elizabeth asked.
“Not really, I just have to go sign some documents in town, and talk to a few people. It shouldn’t take more than a few hours,”
“Oh. Is it an inconvenience for Emily to go shopping with me? I could go by myself. I don’t want to be a burden to anyone.”
“Elizabeth you are not a burden. You’re an adventure, that I can’t wait to experience. Anyways Emily love to shop. Wait a minute, it might not be safe if you go with Emily alone. You might get hurt.” Jason said.
“Funny, Jase.” Emily said, as she entered the kitchen.
“Elizabeth you want to go shopping, Wow! I actually get to shop with a girl. I usually have to drag Jason along to get his opinion. WOW! There’s so many shops that we can hit. Let me go get my purse,” Emily said.
“Slow down Em, take it easy on Elizabeth she is pregnant, and I want her back the same way she left. Got it,” Jason said to his sister.
“I will, I will.” Emily said heading off to her room.
“Here take this, and get what ever you want. I was thinking of getting married in this little church down the street. Buy a nice dress for the wedding. Then later in the week, we could invite our family over to celebrate. We’ll play it by ear,” Jason said, handing Elizabeth a credit card.
“I can’t take this Jason,”Elizabeth said handing him back his credit card. Jason refused to take it.
“I know that it doesn’t have your name on it. But once we are married I will add your name to it and my checks. You will have access to them anytime you want even when I am away,” Jason said.
“Jason I’m not doing this for the money. I don’t want any of it.”
“Fine. Johnny, will you come here please. Johnny anything that Elizabeth sees that she likes, please feel free to pick it up.”
“No, you will do no such thing.” Elizabeth tried to protest.
“Either you take it and spend something on it, or I will have Johnny take you and Emily and he will use the card.”
“That’s not fair.” Elizabeth started to pout.
“Fine, I’ll take the card.” Elizabeth grabbed the card from Johnny’s hand and placed it in her pocket. “You ready?” Emily asked as she popped back into the kitchen for Elizabeth.
“Emily, I mean what I say, if anything happens to her, you will find yourself at Monica and Allen’s house, faster then you can say Sorry.”

Chapter 5
When Emily and Elizabeth returned a few hours later, Jason was still sitting at the kitchen table. It looked like he had not moved. The girls walked in laughing.
“I see that you guys had a good time.” Jason said to both of them.
“Yeah, we had a great time. I’m going up to put my things away.” Emily said, and left the room.
“So what did you get?” Jason asked her.
“I got a dress, but you can’t see it.” Elizabeth teased.
“Please tell me you got more than that?” Jason said.
“Nope, you only told me to get a dress, and that’s all I got.” Elizabeth said.
“Elizabeth what are you going to wear besides that dress?” Jason asked.
“I’ll get something later, but this is all I could afford.” Elizabeth said.
“Didn’t you use my credit card?” He asked.
“No I thought that this one should be on me. Stop it, it’s not a big deal. I’m going up to my room now.” Elizabeth said.
“Go get dressed, our ceremony is in 1 hour.” Jason said.
“No, I’m not going through with this.” Said Elizabeth as she stormed out of the room.
An hour later, Jason went up to their room, only to find that the door was locked, and she wasn’t answering it. “Elizabeth are you ready?” Jason asked.
“No, I’m going home. I think I will handle my parents alone.” Elizabeth said. She was sitting behind the closed door, so that he could not get in.
“Please let me in.” Jason said.
“No.” She said between tears.
“If your not going to let me in at least get away from the door so I can kick it in.” Jason begged.
“No. Leave me alone.” Elizabeth said. Jason had given up he had one more idea, and that was in the garage.
When he returned Elizabeth was still sitting behind the closed door. He turned on the chain saw, and Johnny and Emily came running up to see what was causing all the noise. Elizabeth still refused to move.
“Ok, if you won’t let me in, then I’ll just have to cut the door in half” Jason said as he was sawing down the door. Elizabeth moved so that she would not get injured from the chainsaw.
Jason sawed the upper part of the door, and then reached his arm in and unlocked the door. Emily and Johnny were completely shocked. Jason turned off the saw. “What do you think of my redecorating?” He asked her.
“Jason! Why would you tear down the door.” Elizabeth asked, realizing that they had 2 pairs of eyes on them.
“So I could talk to you. Why are you giving me such a hard time about getting married?” Jason asked.
Glancing at Em, Elizabeth responded “So we could get married the traditional way. You know, a best man, a maid of honor, something blue, something old, something new, and something borrowed, and staying away from each other before the wedding day. You know the traditional stuff. I think that we should go into the bathroom to talk about this.”
“Is that what you want? We can wait for you to call your parents and tell them what is going on, do you want to do that?” Jason asked.
“I think we should talk about this in the bathroom.” Elizabeth said.
“Nonsense, I’ll be your maid of honor, and Johnny can be Jason’s best man. Then I will find something white, blue, borrowed, new, and old. Unless you want to wait for your family to get here Elizabeth,” Emily said.
Elizabeth hated to disappoint Emily, because she was such a great friend and she had no idea that their marriage was a sham, and that Jason was only doing this out of the goodness of his heart. “No Em that will do, you could be my maid of honor?” Elizabeth asked.
“I’d love to. Well we have to get dressed, Jason leave, we have to put our face on.” Emily said. Johnny and Jason exited the bedroom.
“Will you find someone who can replace that door tomorrow, while we are out shopping.” Jason asked his body guard.
Emily hurried to do Elizabeth’s make up, and hair. Elizabeth exited the bathroom with the white silk day gown on.
“Oh my, no wonder Jason loves you, you look amazing.” Emily said to her. Elizabeth ignored Emily's comment and remained quiet.
“Your dress is something white and new. I want to give you this necklace that’s old. My great grandmother gave this to me when I entered the family, and now that you are entering the family it is yours.” Emily said.
“No, Em I can’t take this. It means too much to you. It won’t be right to take it.” Elizabeth said.
“Listen you are now my sister, so if I want to borrow it back on my wedding day, I’m sure that you will let me. Here’s something borrowed, it’s a pair of diamond earrings. And your something blue is this handkerchief.” Emily said.
“Thank you for everything that you've done for me. Now go and get dressed,” Elizabeth said.
While Emily was getting dressed, Elizabeth made a quick phone call to her parents. “Hi Mom and Dad. No I’m fine, I just want to know if you could come up to meet my husband this weekend. No mom I’m not in trouble, no Dad stop. I can’t deal with this right now. I have to go.” Elizabeth said as she hung up the phone, tears were on the verge of spilling over.
“Elizabeth are you ready to go?” Jason came upstairs carrying a beautiful bouquet of white roses.
“Are those for me?” Elizabeth asked.
“Yes they are. Tomorrow after the handy man arrive to repair the door, we can go out shopping for some more clothes, before our parents arrive,” Jason said.
“Okay, when are they coming over?” Elizabeth asked.
“I invited them for Friday night, because we have to go to Denver on Saturday. The race is Sunday.” Jason said.
“Do you enjoy racing?” She asked.
“Yeah, but now everything has changed, look it’s time to go.” Jason said as he ushered her out of the building.

Chapter 6
Elizabeth wondered what had changed as they drove to the small church down the road. Johnny and Emily stood next to the couple as their witnesses. Emily was delighted that she was now going to have a sister. Jason and Elizabeth said their vows and when it was time to kiss the bride, he planted a sweet innocence kiss on Elizabeth. Nobody would ever know what the ordeal with them is.
Emily and Johnny congratulated the couple, and rambled on, about how good their life was going to be. Jason opened the car door for Elizabeth, and waited to she was seated before going to the other side. The fist couple of minutes were quiet, and then Jason broke the silence.
“You know that when we go to Denver, that your going to be the talk of the town. I’m know as a bachelor, and now I show up married.” Jason said.
“What do I tell the press when they start asking questions.” Elizabeth said.
“Just tell them the truth, except the baby isn’t mine, just keep it simple, tell them that we got married because we love each other, and that we couldn’t live without each other. If they ask anything else, just tell them what you would tell your parents.” Jason said.
“What are we going to tell our parents, aren’t they going to find this a little strange that all of a sudden that we got married with out their permission, and with out them being there?” Elizabeth asked.
“No, we don’t need their permission for living our life. They’re going to buy that we love each other because were going to act that way, a kiss here and there, and ‘Honey, Sweetie Pie’ those type of things.” Jason said.
“You think that we can pull it off?” Elizabeth asked.
Jason stopped the car in front of a restaurant, and turned to her. “Yes, I think that we can pull it off. I have faith in you.” Jason said looking into her eyes, and then plated a seductive kiss on her lips. Just as quickly the kiss started it stopped, and as Elizabeth tried to calm her nerves Jason walked over to her side on the door, and opened it up for her.
Jason escorted Elizabeth to the restaurant, where Johnny and Emily were all ready sitting at a table waiting for them.
“Congratulations!” Johnny and Emily said at the same time to the newly married couple.
“I wish that you would have let me planned a real wedding for you too. It would have been a big shindig.” Emily said.
Elizabeth still trying to recover from the kiss simply smiled while Jason replied. “Em, we didn’t need a big wedding, we are happy with where we got married, and plus may be we wanted to get to our honey moon and skip the wedding.” With the statement finished he planted a longer kiss on Elizabeth’s lips. All Elizabeth could do was nod her head.
Boy did his kisses feel good, god tonight was their wedding night, what was going to happen then. His cell phone disrupted her thoughts. Jason just ignored it.
“Aren’t you going to answer that ‘honey’?” Elizabeth asked, knowing that her heart was only getting her in more trouble.
“No, I just want to be with you tonight, and nobody else Mrs. Morgan.” Jason said.
“Jason give me the phone it is driving me nuts, Elizabeth said, knowing that he just called her by her married name and her heart was skipping beats and it shouldn’t be doing that.
Jason handed over his phone, and Elizabeth answered “Morgan” imitating Jason. Jason watched his wife answer the phone, and as she talked. He knew that it was her parents, because he programmed it into his cell phone. Elizabeth looked like she was fighting off banshees. Jason took the phone from her, and finished the conversation. “No Mrs. Webber I do love your daughter, and there is nothing that you can do about it. I wish to see you on Friday to meet you, right know I want to spend the night with my wife. Bye.”
Elizabeth was amazed as how he pulled that off so smoothly. She was becoming more and more amazed as how he could do something like that. Boy she should keep her heart guarded more. Once dinner was finished Jason helped her to the car.
“I was going to make an appointment to see the doctor, do you want to come with me?” Elizabeth asked.
“Yeah, just let me know when. Are you going to make an appointment at the hospital?” Jason asked.
“No I want to go to see a midwife. I want to deliver in my own home, some where I feel comfortable. Hospitals make me go stir crazy and I don’t want to be crazy while I’m trying to have the baby.” Elizabeth said.
“No you’re not going to see that doctor. I think that the best place for you to have a baby is a hospital.” Jason said turning into the long driveway.
“No, Jason I know that you want the best for the baby, but I can’t have the baby in a hospital, there is no way that I can do that. I hate hospitals.” Elizabeth said as she opened her own car door, and ran up to the front house door. Jason knew better then to follow her when she was mad. Funny how all the things that they agreed on, having the baby in the hospital wasn’t one.
Elizabeth raced to the bathroom, before she lost her dinner. There was no way that she was having a baby in the hospital unless that there was a real emergency. She hated hospitals after watching her twin brother die. No one in her family talks about it. He died when she was eight years old. They were in a car accident and he need surgery and needless to say they lost him on the table. Now it is as if he doesn’t exist, no one talks about it, and no one grieves for the boy that they lost. Her parents were to busy from their schedules to go to the grave sight to say goodbye.
No there was no way that she would walk in a hospital to be treated by them. If he didn’t understand why she felt that way, then she could take the wrath of her parents, and she would raise the baby by herself, and he wouldn’t have to worry about anything.
A knock on the bathroom door disrupted her thoughts. “Elizabeth we need to talk about this.” Jason said.
“No we don’t, not at the present moment.” Elizabeth said behind the closed door.
Jason wanted to understand her, but he couldn’t. He should feel the same about hospitals after his mother died, and he come to live with the Quartermain’s. He knew there was nothing that they could do to make her live longer, for she was suffering from cancer. But he had faith in hospitals, after everything that he went through, with the car accident, and being in a coma, he trusted the hospitals, and for crying out loud his parents were doctors.
“Elizabeth try to reason with me here.” Jason said. “I don’t want anything to happen to the baby, and what if this midwife has trouble delivering the baby? I think that the best place would be a hospital.”
“All you are worrying about is the baby. You don’t care that if I can’t step in a hospital unless I was forced.” Elizabeth said.
“I care about you too, for crying out loud you are my wife.” Jason said.
“Not any longer.” Elizabeth thought. She would hate to leave him, but if he forced to go to a hospital, she wouldn’t have a choice.
