Okay, this is my first fic in a couple months. I wanted something completely Liason. I thought the statue would do. Vista Point was an option, but that has been tainted by others. LOL.
This one might be two or three parts, not sure yet.
I don't own, I borrow. Enjoy
Jason pulled the kickstand down, jumping off the bike and walking down the steps. His breathing was labored. That normally happened after a ride, especially when he was going as fast as he was. He needed to clear his head. He felt as if he was being pulled in 40 different directions.
As if running the business wasn't enough, he still had Sonny in his face every five minutes, obviously happy to tell him everything he was doing wrong. He took the business so Sonny could get out, make a clean break, but no, he was always there. To top that off, he had Carly, as usual, messing up her life and wanting him to fix it. He truly wondered about her mental state sometimes. Why would she even think that he would agree to lie about being the father of her baby, when he can't even claim his own son? As much as he cared about her, he seriously considered getting her commited to Rose Lawn again.
Then there was Claudia, who was constantly around. The woman was not only dangerous, but seriously annoying. She was always there, and constantly invading his space. He wanted her as far away from him as humanly possible. He felt bad for her more than anything, but her family problems with her psycho father were not his problem. To top it all off, Spinelli was driving him insane with his problems with women. He feared he would never just get any peace and quiet.
As he walked around, his eyes scanned the area. He hadn't been to this spot in years. For a while, he'd purposely avoided this spot. He always wondered if anyone had bought the area. Obviously not, because everything basically looked exactly the same. The statue stood right before him, and he stood next to it, letting it take him back to a time with her.
He'd been trying so hard not to think about what he had given up. He had tried to focus solely on the job and what being boss meant. No matter how much he tried though, he couldn't get her out of his mind. He couldn't forget about the little boy, the boy with his hands, that he could never be with. The people he wanted to have a life with most, the people he wanted to see everyday, he had to stay away from, and it was slowly killing him.
Elizabeth was the one. She was the love of his life. As he looked back on all his past relationships, none of them stood a candle to her. They always somehow fell short. He was so close to having everything he ever wanted. He was going to marry Elizabeth Webber, the woman he loved with everything he had, the mother of his son. He was going to claim his family. Then his life came crashing down around him.
Why did he come here? Why did he come to a place where there would be remanants of her? Why couldn't he go anywhere without thinking of her?
He leaned against the statue and sighed, hand over his eyes, his lids closed tight. He had to stop thinking about things he couldn't change. If he couldn't, he knew for sure he would go completely insane.
"Jason?"
His eyes shot open at the sound. It was soft, like a whisper. He wasn't really even sure he heard it at first. He turned slowly around, his eyes growing wide as she came into view.
"Elizabeth," he whispered, the awe that usually came with seeing her unmistakeable in his voice.

Okay, I was going to make this just a fluff piece, alot of corniness that I am famous for, but I got another idea. I love the thought of Ric finding out about the paternity.
I hope you guys enjoy. I'm not sure how long this will be.
"Elizabeth," he whispered, the awe that usually came with seeing her unmistakeable in his voice.
She looked beautiful. Well, she always did, but at that moment, she was even more so. He was frozen where he stood. He couldn't move, for fear that she would disappear. Not that he dreamed much, but the only time he could remember day dreaming, it was of her. All he could do was stand there and stare at her, hoping she was real.
He watched as she looked at him, shock marring her gentle features. She seemed to be just as surprised to see him as he was of seeing her. He then saw her face change from that shock to a small smile, and the tenderness and love he always saw in her eyes. He also saw the pain behind them. He knew that pain. It was the same thing he felt everyday for not being with her.
She shook her head slightly, closing her eyes as if to shake herself out of the shock, then walked over to him, stopping inches in front of him. He could feel her body heat, smell her distinctive "Elizabeth" scent. He drank her in, the way she looked, the way she smelled, everything about her. It amazed him that she was here.
"What...what are you doing out here?" he asked once he finally found his voice, shaky and low as it was.
She shrugged, grinning slightly and shook her head.
"To tell you the truth, I don't know. I just needed to get out for a while. The boys are with Robin and Patrick. They wanted to watch them for a couple of hours, I guess for the practice." She was starting to ramble, and the sound was like music to his ears. "Patrick looked scared out of his mind when I put Jake in his arms. Anyway, I thought it was a good idea. I was sitting at home all alone and all I could do was think about y-, things, so I decided to take a drive. I wasn't really going anywhere in particular. I ended up stopping here. I don't know why, but I parked and got out." She nibbled on her bottom lip for a moment before looking at him for the first time since she started talking. "Why are you here?"
He shrugged, swallowing a small lump in his throat, and looked away, "I was riding. Just ended up here."
She eyed him curiously.
"You were riding. What did you need to clear your head about?"
She knew him so well. She knew that riding was what he did when he felt overwhelmed.
He took a deep breath and looked up before bringing his head down, looking down at her.
"I was feeling kind of closed in. Felt like things were closing in on me."
She nodded, understanding exactly what he was going through.
"Me too. I just needed to get away. Felt like I couldn't breathe-"
"I miss you."
She froze, whatever she was going to say instantly forgotten. Her eyes found his, her eyes wide.
He swallowed again, his breathing becoming erratic. His hand was shaking as he picked it up, pulling an unruly piece of hair behind her ear, his fingertips grazing her cheek softly.
"I can't go two minutes without thinking about you; about the boys. I wonder where you are, and what you're doing."
"I miss you too, Jason. Everyday." Her hand came up and grabbed his, bringing it to her cheek. Her eyes closed as his palm cupped her face. "Cameron asked about you this morning."
He smiled, thinking about the little boy. "He did?"
She nodded, "He was wondering when you were going to come over and play with his motorcycles with him."
The pain returned to her eyes, and it felt as though someone stabbed him in the chest. He hated seeing her in pain, and he was the one who was causing it. That thought made it unbearable. The one thing he never wanted to do was cause her pain.
"Tell him I said hello," was all he could say.
Her eyes glazed over with tears as she nodded. There was a silence for a few moments, neither one knowing what to say, but not wanting their time together to end.
"Jake said his first words," she blurted out, wiping at a tear that escaped.
His son was talking. Just when he thought he couldn't hurt anymore, the thought that he had missed yet another one of his son's milestones made the ache even worse.
"What...what did he say?" his voice was a whisper, too choked up to be anything else.
She smiled a watery, painful smile and said, "Mama."
He smiled and nodded, his own eyes filled with unshed tears.
"It's not fair, Jason." She was angry and frustrated. He could hear it in her words.
"I know it's not."
She looked at him again, her eyes finding his.
"It's not fair that your son is growing up with out you. It's not fair that Cameron can't get to know his brother's father." Her eyes blazed with anger as her voice got louder and louder as she spoke. "It's not fair that I have to go day in and day out without the man that I love more than any other person in the world! I have to live my life without the other half of myself! It's not fair!" She started punching his chest, her hands pounding against him violently as she let out all of her anger on him.
He stood there, taking each strike. He deserved every fist. He'd done this to her. He brought her back into his life, then turned away from her. His life, the life that he chose so many years ago, was causing her life now to crumble. There was nothing he could do but just let her get it out, let her release her anger on him solely.
When he finally felt her weaken, he grabbed her elbows, stopping her. She was breathing heavy, sobbing violently as he pulled her close to him, wrapping his arms around her and holding her tightly, his hand rubbing her back as she cried, her tears unlocking his own sobs. They stood there, holding each other tightly for what seemed like hours, before both of them calmed down.
She lifted her head from his chest, her face wet and swollen from crying, and her eyes met his again. Her hand moved up and her thumb rubbed away the tear lines that stained his face.
"I'm sorry," was all she said, her thumb rubbing his cheek softly.
He shook his head, his hand sliding over hers on his face.
"Don't...don't ever be sorry."
"I shouldn't have lashed out at you like that. I know you are hurting as much as me, and it's not fair-"
"None of this is fair, Elizabeth. I hate not being with you. I hate not seeing my son growing up. I hate not spending time with Cameron. The one thing I want more than anything is to wake up to the three of you every morning and be a family."
She nodded, pulling away from him, looking down as she wiped away her own tears.
"I know that. I don't know what happened. I just couldn't stand it anymore."
"You needed to do it. I've hurt you."
She looked up at him, and shook her head.
"Jason, you have to stop this. You aren't hurting us on purpose. You're hurting just as much as we are. Maybe more. At least I get to see Jake everyday. I get to see his father in him. What do you get?"
He looked away, trying as hard as he can to not fall apart again.
"I have everything I need."
She shook her head, sadness taking over her features again.
"No you don't. You have what you think is good enough. But it's not. You need us just as much as we need you."
"I can't think about that. I have to do what's right for you and the boys and that means staying away."
"And in the process, it's killing both of us."
"Do you think it's easy for me, Elizabeth? Because it's the hardest thing I've ever done."
"I know it's hard for you, Jason. I'm not saying-"
He interrupted her, his hand finding hers and holding on tightly.
"I thought letting Michael go when he was a baby was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. This is twenty times worse. Jake is my son. He's MINE. You are the woman I have loved for almost 10 years." He let those last words sink in for her. "I feel like I'm dying everyday because I can't be apart of your lives."
"Oh, Jason," she cried as she ran into his arms, wrapping hers around his neck and holding him tightly.
His arms wrapped around her middle, his head resting on her shoulder, his eyes closed tightly. He held her as if she was his lifeline, like he was regenerating his strength through her.
A few moments later, she pulled her head back and looked up at him, her eyes tired and drawn.
"I should go get the boys," she said, disappointment obvious in her voice.
He nodded, but didn't let her go.
Their lips met as if they had minds of their own. His hand came to the back of her throat, his thumb grazing her jaw as he tasted her, drinking her in. Her own hands held his face as she opened her mouth, inviting his tongue in, wrapping her own around it. They kissed each other with such passion, with such need, neither wanting to let go. When air became an issue, they pulled apart, only to rest their foreheads against each other. Both of their breathing was ragged, their eyes closed.
He finally lifted his head, looking deep into her eyes.
"I love you," he whispered softly, his hands running up and down her arms.
"I love you, too Jason; always."
Reluctantly, she pulled away, walking backwards for a few steps, her eyes still focused on his until she turned around and ran to the car.
He watched until she was completely out of view, then turned, running his hand down his face, trying to regain his composure. Taking a deep breath, he walked back to his bike and climbed on, jump starting it almost violently before driving away.

Ric Lansing sat back in his chair and took off the headset, throwing it onto his desk. He was livid. He was angry. He wanted revenge.
He had purposely had someone bump into Jason, spilling coffee all over his jacket so it would have to be cleaned. At the cleaners, he had a mic sewn into the lining. He wanted some leverage on the new mob boss in town, something to use against Jason to bring him to his knees.
He just got it. Jake was actually Jason's son. Elizabeth lied on the stand. She lied to him.
He stood up and rested his hands on his hips. He couldn't believe what he'd just heard. Their painful reunion. It made him sick to his stomach. The thought of HIS Elizabeth with that thug made him want to vomit.
She lied to him. She betrayed him, and all for Jason Morgan. It's his turn to make them pay. And he would.
He picked up the phone, dialing a number quickly and waiting for the other end to pick up.
"Anthony, it's Ric. I have information on Jason Morgan. Yes, it's very interesting. I know exactly what will bring him to his knees. I'll be there in 10 minutes."
Throwing the phone down, he picked up his suit jacket and threw it on, picking up his keys and headed out the door. He was going to make both of them pay.

Ric walked around the room, unable to sit still. He had brought the surveilance tape over for Anthony to hear. Having to listen to it again was making him sick to his stomach. The whole way over, his mind went to images of THEM together, holding each other, kissing each other. The thoughts were appalling to him, but he couldn't stop them, and it was making him angrier and angrier.
Anthony leaned over, turning the tape off and sat back in his wheelchair. He brought his hands to his lap, his fingers interlacing with each other, and looked up at Ric.
"Interesting."
Ric's eyes narrowed, looking down at the older man.
"That's all you can say? Interesting?"
Anthony shrugged, "What would you like me to say?"
"Say that we finally, FINALLY, have a way to get Morgan!"
Anthony nodded, bringing his hands to the wheels of the chair and pushing himself back, then away from the desk, closer to where Ric was standing.
"You're right. The question now is, which one of them would work more? This Nurse Webber, or little Jake?"
Ric turned away from Anthony, calmly answering.
"The answer is clear. We take the boy."
Anthony looked up at him, curiousity coming over his features.
"Why not take them both? Wouldn't that totally destroy him?"
Ric turned toward Anthony, curtly replying, "She doesn't need to be brought into this. She is just a plaything to Morgan. Something he likes to take out when the mood strikes. The boy is what will get to him. We should focus on him."
Anthony shrugged, "I don't know, it sounded to me like Morgan was in love with the girl. I think they both would work to our advantage."
"You don't touch her! Do you hear me!"
Anthony calmly wheeled himself right in front of Ric.
"Let me tell you something, Mr. Lansing. You do not tell me what to do. I am your boss. Therefore you take orders from me! If I want both the bitch and the brat, then that's what we'll do!"
"But Anthony, really-"
"Not another word!" Anthony wheeled himself back over to the desk, reaching for the phone and dialing a number quickly.
"Yeah. I need you up here. We need a plan." He hung up the phone and looked back up at Ric, his arms resting on the desk, a maniacal smile across his face.
"Morgan will be putty in my hands."
Ric swallowed hard, realizing quickly what he had just done; he had fed Elizabeth and her son to the wolves. That was not what he wanted. He wanted the boy gone. He was the only link they shared. With that baby gone, he could have Elizabeth. But now, she was caught in the crossfire. He didn't know what to do. He looked over at Anthony, and knew he was defeated. There was nothing he could do. Elizabeth was going to be sacrificed to get to Morgan, and he was the one who made her a target. Well, not really. This was Morgan's fault. He did this! Well, now he'll have to deal with the consequences. Besides, she bedded the thug. She deserved the punishment of betraying him. And now she would pay, both her and her Morgan brat. And Morgan wouldn't be able to recover.
~*~
Jason walked into the penthouse, slamming the door behind him, throwing his keys on the desk and stomping over to the couch. He sat back and leaned forward, putting his head in his hands. He really didn't know how much more he could take.
Why was she there? Why would she be someplace he showed her all those years ago? He thought it was the one place he could think about her and not see her. He thought she'd forgotten about the statue a long time ago. How was he supposed to forget about her, about their son, if she was always there?
He knew it was getting harder and harder to stay away. Every time he saw her, he tried so hard not to touch her. That never worked. How was he supposed to stay away?
He stood up quickly and stomped into the kitchen, ripping open the fridge and pulling out a beer, opening the bottle with just his hands. He took a big, long swig of the cold liquid, hoping that would cool him down. Thoughts of Elizabeth warmed him. He needed to lose that feeling, or he'd be lost in it. Taking his beer, he walked out of the kitchen and onto the balcony, taking a deep breath of the warm night air.
She was georgeous. The way her hair was wavy and framing her face. The way her eyes looked at him. She always took his breath away.
Damnit! He was doing again! He was thinking of her. Why can't he just compartmentalize, like he'd done with anyone else he had to say goodbye to? Why was it this difficult when it came to Elizabeth and the boys?
Jake was talking now. He was saying words. Jason felt his eyes fill with tears at the thought of his son growing up without him. He hated it. He hated not being there for every single moment. He wanted to hold him, to play with him and Cam, help get them fed and bathed, help put them to bed. He wanted to climb into bed right along side their mother, make love to her until neither one could stay awake, then wake up in each other's arms, and start all over again. He wanted it more than he wanted his next breath.
He couldn't have it, and thinking about it was just making it that much harder to let go. In the back of his mind, however, he knew, he could never really let go. He never truly let go of her 6 years ago. He doubted he ever could.
~*~
Elizabeth unlocked the door to her house, walking into the dark living room. Without turning on the light, she threw her keys on the endtable and walked around. She laid down on the couch and curled up, letting the tears fall.
She couldn't do it. She couldn't stay away from him. Hell, she didn't even plan on going to the statue. Something just drew her to it. Who would have thought that it was drawing him to the same spot? It had been so long ago since he'd shown her that place.
She needed him. She needed him in her life, in her kid's lives. She wanted to be with him, in every sense of the word. She knew the danger was real, but in her heart, she knew he'd take care of them.
Now, it was just a matter of convincing him of that.

Elizabeth opened the door to Kelly's clumsily, ushering Cameron in while holding Jake in her arms. She had just gotten off shift and was really not in the mood to make dinner. She thought a night out with her boys would be good for all of them. She needed to get out of the house anyway. All she could think about while she was there was the night she spent there with Jason. Of course, anything reminded her of him lately.
"Cam, go sit at the table over there, baby, and I'll get a high chair from the corner, okay?"
The little boy nodded, running to the table his mother pointed out and climbing into a chair, sitting back on his knees. Elizabeth made sure he was seated before walking over to the corner, grabbing one of the high chairs that were lined up against the wall. As she turned around, she was startled by Ric standing right in front of her, his slimy smile plastered on his face.
"Let me get that for you," he said, grabbing the wood chair from her hand.
She opened her mouth to protest, but let it go. As much as she didn't trust him, she knew he wouldn't start anything in public.
With a tight smile, she nodded, "thanks."
He picked up the high chair and placed it near the table Cam was sitting. He reached over and tossled the young boys hair.
"Hey Cam. Out with your mom?"
She shy boy simply nodded, reaching for his mother and grabbing her around the waist, hiding his face against her. Elizabeth softly ran her fingers through the curls on the back of the boy's head, eyeing Ric carefully.
"Not working tonight, Elizabeth? I heard you got a promotion at the hospital." His voice sounded casual, but she recognized that hint of pompousness that was so Ric.
"Well, being Head Nurse, I get to make my own schedule. I gave myself the night off." She wasn't in the mood to give him an explanation but thought if she just answer him quickly, the conversation would be over and he would leave. She placed Jake in the highchair and turned toward Ric, hand on her hip.
"So how are you doing? I know it can't be easy, what with you being a single mom and all." His voice was grating on her nerves, and she knew he was fishing for information.
"I'm doing just fine, Ric. Thank you for asking. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'd like to have a meal with my sons." She turned from him, sitting in between the two boys, her back to him, hopefully giving him the clue that she was done talking to him.
He leaned over to where Jake was sitting and smiled at the baby.
"Well, aren't you the big boy. Your father should be so proud." He stressed the word "father" causing Elizabeth's eyes to turn to him. With a sleezy smirk, he turned and left, leaving Elizabeth to wonder just how much the man knew.
~*~
Jason walked into his office, and closed the door behind him, only to stop in his tracks at the sight before him. There, sitting at his desk, clad in his leather jacket, with their feet propped up on the desk was Spinelli. He apparently fell asleep while doing whatever it was he was doing. Honestly, Jason was scared to ask. He didn't think he really wanted to know.
He walked over to the desk and slammed his hands down hard on it, instantly waking the young man up, causing him to jump out of the seat and trip, slamming against the back wall before recovering, standing up straight and looking sheepishly back at Jason.
"Stone Cold! The Jackal was just-"
Jason held up his hand toward him and brought a finger to his lips.
"Spinelli! I don't really want to know."
Spinelli smiled awkwardly at him, crossing his arms in front of him clumsily.
Jason put his hands on his hips and closed his eyes, again wondering why he puts up with the socially-inept boy.
"Take my jacket off, Spinelli."
The young man hurried to pull the jacket off, in the process causing the lining to tear. Jason angrily walked over and grabbed the coat from him, checking the damage.
"How many times have I told you not to touch this?"
"I'm sorry, Stone Cold. I didn't mean-"
"Just stop Spinelli!" The boy stood staring frightened at the jacket he'd just ripped. "Sit down," Jason said, quietly but firmly, pointing to the chair on the other side of the desk. Head down, he walked over to the chair and plopped down on it unceremoniously.
Jason watched as he sat down in the chair as told, only to turn back to the jacket, inspecting the rip.
Spinelli shyly sat up watching him, "I'm sure the rip is on the seam, therefore it can be repaired-"
"Enough, Spinelli!" Jason looked at him, frustrated beyond belief. Spinelli sat back, making a zipper over his lips as Jason continued inspecting the tear.
Jason's eyes furrowed as he saw something on the inside of the tear. Reaching his finger inside, he pulled out a device. Bringing it up close, he realized just what it was. His eyes grew wide and his breathing started getting heavy.
"Spinelli. How long ago did I send this to the cleaners."
Spinelli looked at him, curiosity covering his features.
"About two weeks ago, Stone Cold. The Jackal himself took the sacred garb there."
He grabbed the device in his palm and formed a fist around it, his eyes closing. He brought his fist to his head as realization came over him. He was bugged. They have been listening to his conversations. Then one conversation in particular came to his mind. He opened his eyes and turned to Spinelli.
"Spinelli. I need you to something for me. I need it done now."

Finally, the next chapter is out.
By the way, as most of you know I cannot stand the character of Leyla, but she's useful in this chapter, so I used her.
Enjoy.
Elizabeth buckled Cameron into the booster seat, making sure it was secure before checking Jake's as well. She then walked over to the window and sat back on the couch, buckling herself in as well. She looked nervous, wiping her hands up and down her thighs as her eyes focused on the entrance.
Just two short hours ago, she was approached by a very nervous Spinelli while working her shift at the hospital, and now she was here, on a private jet, waiting to take off to who-knows-where. She wrung her hands together, still unable to process everything in her mind.
Elizabeth walked over to the nurse's station, sighing and adjusting her stethescope back around her neck. Mr. Johnson in 1406 was getting bolder with his flirting to where she, in the kindest way she knew how, told him if he so much as touched her again, in any way that was inappropriate, he would be treated for additional injuries than just what he came in for. Just as she reached the desk, Spinelli came running off the elevator, crashing clumsily into the desk right in front of her.
Watching him and chuckling to herself, she said nothing as he straightened himself out, looking around as if someone was following him, then looking at her, a sweet, shy smile crossing his face.
"Greetings, Miss Elizabeth. The Jackal was wondering if he could speak with you," he said, then leaning in so no one else overhears him, he whispered, "It is of the utmost importance, and it is from Stone Cold himself."
Elizabeth stood straight up, eyeing the young man worriedly and nodding, walking around the desk and over to the waiting area, Spinelli following behind.
She turned and looked around again, keeping her voice low.
"What's wrong with Jason?
"Nothing, Nightengale. I assure you, Stone Cold is in perfect health. However, there have been some disturbing developments as of late and the Master is concerned."
"Developments? What developments? Spinelli, what is going on?"
The boy reached into his back pocket, again looking around, making sure there was no one lurking, and pulls out a folded piece of paper, handing it to her.
"Please read this in haste. Then you and your boys must come with me."
Her eyes furrowed in confusion as she opened the paper cautiously. Once she saw Jason's angular writing, a calm came over her.
Elizabeth,
There is really no time to explain. I need you to go with Spinelli, get the boys and he will take you to the airstrip where my jet is waiting for you. I will meet you there.
Just trust me.
Jason.
Elizabeth stuck the paper in her pocket and walked over to the desk where Layla was inputting a patient's chart into the system.
"Leyla, I have to go. There's a family emergency."
The nurse nods and smiles,"That's fine. It's pretty slow and Jennifer should be in soon."
Elizabeth gives the woman a faint smile. "Thanks. I'll make sure you get some extra time off soon." With that, she grabbed Spinelli's wrist and pulls him into the elevator.
After retrieving her purse and the boys from daycare, Spinelli whisked them to the airstrip, where he told them that Jason would be arriving shortly. Nothing was said, no explanations as to why they were on a plane, and she was starting to get scared. Of course, Cam was just excited he was on a plane and Jake was busy playing with the toys that were hooked on to his car seat, so she was relieved they seemed to not notice her worry.
Just when she thought she might actually go out of her mind, Jason walked through the curtains, his eyes taking in all three of them. Elizabeth jumped up from her seat and ran over to him, hugging him tightly. His arms slid around her middle and his face burrowed into the crook of her neck.
After a few moments, they pulled apart, only slightly. He leaned down and kissed her softly, his hand coming up to cup her cheek.
"I'm so glad your finally here," she said, looking up at his tired, worried eyes.
He nodded, his eyes taking in her face, his thumb grazing along her soft cheek.
"Yeah, I just had a few things to wrap up before I could get here."
She pulled away and smiled as she made way for him to walk over to the boys. Cam was jumping up and down in his seat when he saw him, yelling his name.
"Hey, buddy. You excited for a plane ride?"
"Yeah!!!" The little boy exclaimed, giving Jason a clumsy high-five.
Then Jason turned his attention to the baby next to him, grabbing his hand and leaning in to kiss Jake's forehead.
"Hey there, buddy."
He stood up and turned toward Elizabeth again, taking her hand and sitting down on the couch. He turned toward her, ready to explain why they were all there.
"I just found out I was bugged. Someone apparently set it up so I would have to bring my jacket to the cleaners and planted a bug in the seam."
"Jason, do you know who would do that?"
He shook his head, his thumb absently running back and forth over the back of her hand.
"No, but I did figure out how long the bug was there." He looked down at their hands entwined, then back up. "They were listening to us at the statue, Elizabeth."
Her eyes went wide and one of her hands slipped from his, covering her mouth.
"So, that means-"
"Someone knows about us," he whispered, then looked at their son,"about Jake too."
Stunned, she stood up, her eyes focusing on her two little boys. He could tell the wheels were turning in her head, and he wondered what she was thinking. He stood behind her, his hands on her shoulders.
"That's why I needed to get all of you out of Port Charles. I need to know that you are safe until I can find out who bugged me."
She reached up and covered one of his hands with her own, squeezing softly.
"Where are we going?"
Her voice was one of acceptance and he let out a breath, glad that she was willing to let him take them away.
"I'm taking you to my island for now. It's the safest place until I can figure this all out."
She turned around and slid her hands up his arms, clasping them around his neck, her eyes connecting with his.
"What about you?"
"I'll make sure you are settled and have everything. Then I'll come back here."
She looked down, disappointed. He lifted her face back up so she could look at him.
"What's wrong? I know you are worried-"
"No, Jason. That's not it. I mean, of course I'm worried. I was just hoping that maybe you could stay a bit. With us, I mean."
"I have to get back, Elizabeth. I have to find out who knows-"
"I know you need to get back. Just for a day or two." She looked up at him with pleading eyes. She was scared and worried about who had found out about Jake. She understood this was not a typical family vacation and she knew there was danger involved. But she couldn't stop the hope in her heart that, even for a little while, they could just be together. They would be on an island, far away from prying eyes. They could be the family they were supposed to be.
He saw the hope in her eyes, and knew he couldn't refuse her. Hell, he didn't even want to. He smiled softly at her, his fingers pulling her hair behind her ear and nodded.
"A few days. I'll stay for a few days."

Ric walked down the stairs on the docks, checking his watch. He went to the hospital, hoping to "run into" Elizabeth, but she wasn't there. The nurse behind the desk told her she had an emergency and had to leave. The boys were gone from daycare too. He wondered what had caused her to run out so quickly. His thoughts were interrupted by the vibration of his phone in his pocket. He pulled it out and flipped it open, bringing it to his ear.
"Ric Lansing."
"Morgan's plane just left the airport. Find out why."
Anthony's voice was cut by a dial tone. He shut his phone and looked out into the water.
"Where are you running off to Jason?"
For this plan to work, they needed Morgan there. They needed him in town, worried sick for his precious son. As much as Ric disliked it, for Elizabeth too.
His thoughts went back to Elizabeth. Where was she? Why did she leave work so quickly? He decided to run home and have a little listen on where Jason is.

Only if GH could be like this right now. At least this is interesting. The stories this summer have not been stellar at all. Can't wait for more.
