Authors Note: Hi, I just thought that I would credit the wonderful person who did this banner. Thank you Cora! I made some changes in the show's history. It will become obvious throughout the story. If you have any questions, please post them and I'll be happy to answer them! This story takes place February 1998. Chapter One The air was cold; much colder than she first realized. Her soft hair piled on her head, her new red dress shined. Nothing was going to stop her. Her back muscles tighten and she tiled her chin up. She was proud. She knew that walking though that door meant that she could no longer hide behind her grandmother and her words, much less her excuses. She pushed open the door; music blared from the stereo in the corner. She took a small step out of the cold and into the warm room. People lined the snack table and most of Port Charles High was on the dance floor. She sighed and entered the room. Her back pressed hard against the wall. She shut her eyes and breathed. Nothing was going to stop her. Nothing was going to keep her from having a good night. This was the dance of the year, and she’d be damned if she was going to miss it. She took a step toward the dance floor; her new shoes shone on the polished floor as she took a glance at them. Than she remembered that that was what people wanted her to do. They wanted her to look down and feel out of place. That was not going to happen. She smiled as she found her way to back of the dance floor. She slowly swayed her hips in the sound of the music. This was killing her, but no one would know. She told herself. No one had to know what was really going on in her head. She was going to melt into the crowd; that was all she wanted. To be another face in the crowd. But she had a feeling that wasn’t going to happen tonight. “Lizzie! What a surprise! I thought that Gram didn’t want you to come tonight?” A voice behind her laughed. Elizabeth Webber turned and stared at the 5’5 blond. “Sarah,” Elizabeth smiled, “you know as well as I do that I do what I want.” Sarah Webber, her sister, the one person she didn’t want to see tonight just had to run into her. She knew it. Although, Sarah did look famous; with a little blue dress and with her light blond falling over her shoulders. “Lizzie, Gram isn’t going to like this.” “I don’t much care what Gram is going to like or not.” Elizabeth snapped as she turned on her heel and walked away. Elizabeth sighed as she fell into a folding chair and slid her black coat off her body. She draped the coat over the back of the chair. She knew it. How could she think that she could walk into a room full of people who knew her story and feel normal? Not that people had the story right. The people around her would believe any shit that came out of her sister's mouth. They wouldn't care about the truth, why would they. It was a stupid wish; to wish for something normal would be like wishing for the stars to stop shining. A wish she knew would never come true. No matter what. She rested her chin on her hand as she crossed her legs. She watched as people when by her; couples danced and laughed; she also noticed that people turned their heads and stared at her. She knew that this going to be a mistake. A big mistake for her to even think that she would have a good time. As tears climbed their way to her eyes. She quickly grabbed her coat off the off the chair and quickly walked out of the room; yanking on her long coat as she went. Tears ran down her face as she ran off the school grounds. Her heavy mascara left her black lines in the awake of her tears. Nothing was going to stop her as the snow started the fall.

Chapter 2
Elizabeth sniffed as she found herself a bench to sit on. It was so cold that all she wanted was to be in her nice warm bed. She couldn’t do that, not yet. Sarah, more than likely had call their grandmother. She would be waiting for her. Elizabeth didn’t want to deal with that, not yet.
She sighed again as she wrapped her coat around her tighter. In a flash, she was on the ground, feet from the bench she was at moments ago. She screamed as someone towered over her. She screamed for him to stop before a blow to the head made her mind grow dark.
When Elizabeth came to the man was less than a shadow. She whimpered in pain. She sat up and grabbed for her coat in the dark night; she only grabbed at handfuls of snow. She also took notice that her shoes were missing. Finding those would be near impossible in the snow that was still falling.
She hissed as she tried to brace her weight on her hands and pain travel though her arms. She turned over and started to crawl her way out of the maze of bushes she found herself in. She saw in opening, pushing the packed snow out of her way.
“Who’s there?” A rough voice asked in the darkness.
Elizabeth’s head popped up at the sound. She whimpered and tried to back away from the sound, but her body brushed up against the bushes and her body reacted in pain. She heard footsteps come closer and she glanced up. Her eyes meet a pair of pricing blue ones.
“Are you okay?” The man’s voice seemed to be much softer.
“I . . . I . . .” Elizabeth mumbled.
“Come on; let’s get you out of the snow.” He reached for her arm to help up, but she stiffed and backed away from him. “I’m not going to hurt you.”
“Oh my God.” Elizabeth whispered.
“What? What’s wrong?” The stranger whispered.
“My baby.” She whispered. “My baby.” Elizabeth whispered.
“What baby?” The stranger asked to gaze around her; he didn’t see a baby or a bundle in the snow anywhere.
“Oh my God.” She whispered again as pain spread though her. She grabbed her stomach as the pain lead to the tunnel of dark.

Chapter 3
“Miss? Miss?” The stranger didn’t know what to think. He picked up the woman and walked the few feet to the bench. He glanced around the open space. He didn’t like the fact that they were out in the open. He took out his cell phone and called the number he knew by heart.
“Hello?” A man said into the phone.
“Sonny, I need a car.” Said the stranger.
“Where? What’s going on?” The man named Sonny said.
“I don’t know. I’m in the park. I need you to also call the doctor.”
“Jason, what in the hell is going on?
“I’ll tell you when I get there.” Said Jason.
Jason Morgan looked down at the young woman; he guessed that she couldn’t be more than eighteen. His eyes turned cold as his eyes raked her body looking for injuries. Her dress was ripped beyond repair, her arms and legs were covered in bruises and bleeding cuts. She had a large hand print on the side of her face.
He heard the beeping of a car, and knew that the car was at the park entrance waiting; Jason took of his leather jacket and wrapped it around the young girl. He carefully gathered her in his arms and walked toward the car.
“Hey Johnny.” Jason whispered to the bodyguard.
Johnny looked at him in surprise. He lifted an eyebrow at him.
“I found her. I want you to call a crew and have gather evidence. I want to know who the hell did this to her. Also if you find a baby . . .” Jason laid her inside the limo, her body still covered by his jacket.
“Baby, boss?” Johnny asked.
“Yeah, she was going on about her baby.”
“Uh, boss, I don’t think we’ll find a baby.” Johnny said as he climbed in after Jason; he sat on the other side, facing Jason and the girl.
Jason nodded to the driver to go. Johnny shut the door and glanced at his boss. “I don’t think she has had the baby yet, boss.” Jason stared at him. “I think she’s pregnant.”
Jason glanced at the girl in his lap. True, she wasn’t thin. “What makes you think that?”
“I don’t know.”
“Well, the doctor should be at Sonny’s when we get there.” Jason glanced down at the girl, she breathing had slowed. “She’s in really bad shape. Johnny, call the crew.”
Johnny nodded and turned his attention to the phone.

Chapter 4
The girl moaned and began to stir. "Hey," Jason whispered.
The girl's eyes opened and her let out an ear-splitting scream. Tears watered the girl's eyes. "Please," she begged, "please don't hurt me."
"I'm not going to hurt you. I'm going to help you. It's okay. I'm going to take you to a doctor."
"No!" Elizabeth screamed. "Please, no, I can't do that. I don't want anyone to know."
Jason's eyes narrowed. "I'm not taking you the hospital. I'm taking you to a private doctor." He paused. "I'm Jason. What's your name?"
"Elizabeth. Elizabeth Webber."
He nodded. "And how old are you?"
"Seventeen." She whispered. "But I'll be eighteen in November." She added.
"Okay. I'm Jason Morgan. I'm going to help you, okay? It's okay." He paused. "Can you tell me what happened? Who did this to you?"
She whimpered and rubbed her head, pushing her tangled hair all over. "I don't know. I don't what happened." She paused as tears fell down her face. "This man . . . He- He grabbed me and he hit me. And, oh my God, he broke my Gram's bracelet." She glanced at him at she grabbed her wrist, which was covered in bruises, her lips shivered in pain. "She doesn't know I took it."
"It's okay. The bracelet doesn't matter." He glanced down at the broken girl.
"No, that bracelet means a lot to her and I took it and she's going to kill me."
"No, I'm sure she'll forgive you. Look, if it means that much, I can go look for it. I'll find it, okay?"
"Are you serious? I couldn't even find my jacket or my shoes, what makes you think you can find my bracelet?"
"I'm good at finding things . . ." He paused.
"Yeah, well, you found me didn't you?" She whispered.
"Are you pregnant?" He blurted out.
"What?" She asked. She looked shocked and confused.
"You were crying for a baby. I need to know if there is a baby out there." He asked. He nodded toward Johnny, and for the first time Elizabeth noticed the other man. She backed away as she stared at him. "You don't need to worry about him. He's my friend. He won't hurt you." Jason whispered. "It's really okay.
"What's your name?" She asked.
"Johnny." Johnny whispered.
Elizabeth nodded. "Yes."
"Yes what?" Jason whispered.
"I'm pregnant. I'm only about three months." She shook her head.
"Okay. So I'm going to have to have an OBYG look at you too."
"No! Oh God, what the hell did I get myself into."
"Don't do this." He stated. "Don't blame yourself for this. It isn't your fault."
Elizabeth shook head, "no, I didn't need to be in that park. I didn't need to go to that dance. My gram didn't want to go. She was afraid that someone would know." She had stopped talking to him. He could tell that she was dying to get this all out.

Chapter 5
It was killing her deep inside. Jason knew that whatever happened to her in the park was the last straw. Jason didn’t understand why she would be telling perfect stranger things about her life. Although, she still didn’t admit that the man in the park did more than hit her.
“I didn’t need to be pregnant. What if the guy in park knew? Would he have jumped me?” She asked aloud to anyone. “Why me? Why in the hell does this stuff happen to me? Who did I piss off?”
“You didn’t do anything.” Jason whispered. The car stopped and the door opened. Johnny got out first and Jason followed him. Elizabeth glanced at Jason as she slipped on his jacket. Jason reached into the car and carefully picked Elizabeth up. She fit easily into his arms; Elizabeth slipped her arms around his neck. Elizabeth shivered as she laid her head on his chest.
She started to sob, they racked her body. The stress over-whelmed her; she grabbed the front of his shirt and cried just a little harder.
“It’s okay. It’s okay; I’m going to get you some help.”
She nodded against his chest. The Harbor View Towers appeared in front her as she glanced away from Jason’s chest. They entered the lobby, Jason quickly walked to the elevator. Johnny pushed the open button and the doors slid open. Jason stepped into the elevator with Johnny right behind him.
As soon as the doors opened again Johnny and Jason stepped off the elevator. Johnny quickly opened the door to the Penthouse 1. Elizabeth was still crying, but by now it was softer.
“Sonny?” Jason asked as he and Johnny stepped into the penthouse. Sonny was sitting on the couch; a large glass in his hand filled with what Jason assumed was brandy.
Sonny looked up, and about dropped his glass. “Jason, My God, what that hell happened?” Sonny slowly set the glass on the coffee table and got up off the couch.
Elizabeth glanced up at the voice in the room, tears running down her face. “Not more people. I don’t want people to know, please? I’m okay. I’m fine. Really.” Elizabeth whispered.
“I found her in the park, Sonny. Someone jumped her.” Jason said as he set Elizabeth down on the now empty couch.
“Aren’t you listening?” Elizabeth asked. “I’m fine!”
“No, your not.” Jason said as he knelt down in front of her. “Someone hurt you, I can see that. He pushed you around, I know that. You could be hurt inside. He could have hurt you baby, okay? Just let me call you a doctor.”
Sonny looked down at Elizabeth in surprise. Someone hurt this girl. Someone was going to pay. He stole a glance at Johnny and he nodded. “I have a crew on it now.”
“What does that mean? ‘I have a crew on it’?” She asked at the glanced at Johnny and Sonny.
“I have people at the park now looking for your things and evince.”
“God, no. I just want it all to go away! Why can’t you see that?” She paused and waited for his answer.
“I just want to help you. I thought that finding who did this to you would help.”
“I just want to use your bathroom. I need to clean up.” She whispered as she glanced down at the marks on her legs.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
“Why?”
“The doctor needs to examine you, Elizabeth.”
“The doctor . . .” Elizabeth started. “I don’t want any more people to have to see me like this. Please.”
The door opened and a doctor slipped inside. He wore a lab coat and carried a doctor bag. He stood by Sonny as his eyes ran over the scene in front of him.
“No! God, no! Get him away from me.” Elizabeth whispered. She stood up fast and she swayed on the spot. Jason lifted her into his arms before she could completely faint. “No, please. Not him.” Elizabeth whispered; though closed eyes a tear fell from her right eye.
Jason nodded and carried her across the room, though the open door, and across the hall to his apartment. Johnny opened that door and let Jason in. Jason set Elizabeth down on the couch before Sonny and the doctor came into the apartment. The doctor started forward.
“No. I’m getting her other doctor.” Jason said as he glanced down at Elizabeth. He voice turned cold.
“Mr. Morgan. I don’t think -” The doctor started.
“I don’t care. She doesn’t want you. I’ll get someone else.”
“But this is wasting time.” The doctor argued.
“And what if she wakes up and sees you in the middle of the examination? She is going to lose it. And I will hold you reasonable. You want that?” Jason asked.
“No, sir.” The doctor answered.
“Well, then, I suggest you get out of here.” He whispered. The doctor turned and left. Jason sighed and ran his hand though his hair. He picked up the phone and dialed the only number he knew that could help. Bobbie Spencer.
“Hello?” A voice answered.
“Bobbie? It’s Jason. I need your help with something.”
“What’s going on?” Bobbie asked. “Is something wrong with Michael?”
“No, but I do need you. Can you come over to the penthouse?” He paused. “I found someone I need you to look at.”
“Jason, are you shot?” She asked.
Jason sighed, “No, but she’s hurt bad.”
“She? I’ll be right there.” With that the line went dead.
Jason hung up the phone and watched as Sonny gave him a puzzled look. “Sonny, I . . .”
“Where did you find her?” Sonny asked his voice was hard. Jason knew that Sonny wasn’t mad at him, he was mad at the situation.
“In the park.” Jason said as he knelt next to Elizabeth. “She was crawling out of the bushes and she looked at me like she wanted to die, Sonny. She was raped and she can’t admit it. She looked so dead, Sonny.”
“She’s pregnant?” Sonny asked.
Jason nodded. “She told me that she was three months pregnant. She also said that she was only seventeen. She’s only seventeen-years-old, Sonny!” Jason said as his voice rose.
“I know this makes you mad. But you have to think about her. You know?”
“Yeah, I know. I can’t even explain it, Sonny. But when I saw her, all I want to do now is protect her.”
“I know, man.”
“I mean, after everything that happened to Michael and Carly.”
“That is not your fault.” Sonny said.
“I know.” Jason whispered.
Bobbie Spencer knocked on the penthouse door. Johnny opened the door and Bobbie stepped into the room. Her eyes narrowed in on the girl on Jason’s couch.
“My God, what happened?” Bobbie asked as she walked over the girl passed out on the couch.
“I found her in the park, Bobbie. And she told me that some guy hit her. I took her here but she refused to see the doctor that Sonny called. I guess because he was a male. I just didn’t know who to call.”
“Well, I’m glad you called me. What’s her name?”
“Elizabeth Webber, she’s seventeen.”
“Oh my God, she’s Audrey Hardy’s granddaughter.”
“Who is that?”
“She’s one of the head nurses at GH. I can’t believe this.” Bobbie whispered. “Did you find her unconscious?”
“No, she woke up in the car and freaked out. I told her that I was going to help her. And all she kept saying was that she didn’t want anyone to know.” He paused. “Bobbie, she’s pregnant.”
Bobbie glanced at him, shock written all over her face. “What?”
“She’s three months pregnant.”
“Oh, my God.”
“Yeah, I just hope that the baby is okay.”
Bobbie moved closer to Elizabeth to get a better look. “Let’s move her up stairs.” Bobbie suggested. Jason moved around Bobbie and picked up Elizabeth. He started up the stairs. “How long has she been out?” Bobbie asked as they entered Jason’s room.
“Ummm . . . I called you when she passed out.”
“Okay.” Jason set Elizabeth down on his bed. “I think you should leave Jason, you don’t want to be here.”
Jason nodded and quickly left.

Chapter 6
Elizabeth Webber blinked as she woke up. She felt someone touch her skin, and she screamed without even opening her eyes.
“No! Please!” She screamed.
“It’s okay; I’m not going to hurt you.” A new voice said. A woman’s voice.
Elizabeth opened her eyes and saw a woman with long red hair. “What are you doing?” Elizabeth whispered.
“I’m cleaning you up. I’m making sure that you’re okay. My name is Bobbie Spencer, okay?”
“My baby.” Elizabeth reached to touch her stomach, finding that she was naked. “Where are my clothes?”
“I don’t know if you’re baby is okay, you’re going to having to go to a clinic to see. But is far as I can tell you’re okay.” She paused. “Your clothes are over there.” Bobbie pointed to the chair in the corner. “I had to get it off to clean the blood off, and check to see if I can feel the baby move.”
Elizabeth shook as she tried to control her emotions. “I didn’t want this. I didn’t want this.” She cried.
“I know you didn’t. And I’m sorry that you had to go though this, Elizabeth.” Bobbie whispered. “Your grandmother is going to be so worried about you.”
Elizabeth shot a look at Bobbie. “You know my Gram?” She asked her voice shook. “You aren’t going to tell her, are you?”
“Oh, Elizabeth, you really should tell her. She’s a nurse, she’ll understand.”
“No, she won’t. She’ll think I asked for it. I know she will.” Tears started down her face. “I can’t tell her. She’ll send me away. She said that was going to send me away anyway. She found out about the baby and she freaked out. Please, don’t tell her where I am. Please. She’ll kill me.” She was hysterical by now.
“I can’t tell her anyway. I’m a doctor; I can’t tell her anything you don’t want me to.”
“Good. I don’t want you tell her anything. Nothing. No one has to know where I am, or what the hell happen to me.”
“Okay, Elizabeth, whatever you want.” Bobbie walked to the door, “I’ll be right back.” Elizabeth nodded as Bobbie left closing the door behind her.
“Jason,” Bobbie called as she went down the stairs. Jason met her and the bottom.
“How is she?”
“Scared. Very scared of her grandmother for some reason.” Bobbie paused. “She’s going to need something to wear.”
Jason nodded. “In the closet.”
Bobbie nodded. “Jason, she’s going to need a place to stay. She’s not going to want to see anyone right now. But you have to see a doctor. She has to see if her baby is okay. A miscarriage in her state-”
“Okay. She can stay here.”
Bobbie nodded again. “I don’t know why she doesn’t want to see her grandmother. Audrey Hardy is one of the nicest people I know. She’s scared out of mind of her. She said that she would kill Elizabeth.”
“Would she?” Jason asked.
“Jason, I don’t think so.”
“But would she?”
Bobbie sighed, "The point is that Elizabeth believes it.”
Jason nodded. “Okay, well, I did almost everything I can tonight.” Bobbie said as she when back up the stairs.
Bobbie entered the room again; Elizabeth looked at her, shivering under the covers. Bobbie went to the dresser and pulled out a button-down shirt and a pair of sweat pants. “Jason said that you could wear these.” Bobbie said as handed the clothes to her. “Umm, Elizabeth, I don’t know if I should say this. But I’m going to say it anyway.”
“Okay.”
“Elizabeth,” Bobbie said her as she sat on the bed. “I want you to listen to me okay? You have to go to a clinic. I mean, you don’t have to give them a name or anything. I can go with you or Jason if you ask. But you have to go. For you and your baby. Having a miscarriage is not something that you want to go though, not this young, not ever.”
“You promise that they won’t ask for my name?”
“I promise.” Bobbie said.
Elizabeth paused, “and you think that Jason Morgan would go with me?”
“If you ask. The thing with Jason is that you have to be straight forward with him. He can’t lie to you, he doesn’t know how to.”
“I know a little bit about him. But only what I’ve heard.”
“And you still trust him?” Bobbie asked.
“He picked me up off the snow.” Elizabeth said simply. “I don’t want to think about it.”
“Okay. Okay. Get dressed. I can send Jason up if you want.”
“No, I’ll be down in a second.” Elizabeth said slowly.
Bobbie nodded and moved off the bed. “If you need anything, you can call me okay?”
“I just want to sleep.” Elizabeth whispered. “I just want to feel safe.”
“I know. And I’m sorry to tell you about this, but you might not feel that for awhile.”
“I know.”

Chapter 7
Elizabeth stepped down the stairs and saw that Sonny and Jason sitting on the couch. Jason looked tried and worn out. His shoulders were slumped down and he had his hands cradling his head. Jason glanced up; his eyes grew wide as he stood up. He walked the few steps to the base of the stairs.
Elizabeth’s hair was wet from the shower that she took and pulled it up in a ponytail. Her fresh, clean face, made the hand print bruise show brightly on her cheek. Elizabeth tucked a piece of hair behind her ear and looked around the room; she glanced down at her wrapped wrist. She folded her arms around her middle and sighed. “Thanks for letting me borrow your clothes.”
“Keep them.” He said. “You can burn for all I care.” He whispered.
A tear slip out of her left eye; Elizabeth slowly brushed it away. “Thanks for finding me.”
“Elizabeth, if I thought -”
Elizabeth stared at him, “I just wanted to thank you and ask you something.”
“Anything.” He stated.
“Can I stay here?”
“Stay here? Why would you want to stay here? I would have thought that you would want to go home.”
“I can’t see my gram, she’ll kill me. I know what you’re going say. And I know that she’ll kill me. She’s on her last leg because of the baby. She thinks I’m a slut.”
“That’s not what I was going to say. I was going to say that you can stay as long as you want to. I mean, you have to talk to your grandmother because they would love a reason to throw me behind bars.”
Elizabeth nodded. “Okay. I’ll call her, but I have to lie to her. I can’t tell her the truth, Jason. I can’t.”
Jason nodded. “If you think you’re good at it. I couldn’t do it.”
She glanced at her bare feet. “I have to ask you another question.”
“Okay.” He folded his arms across his wide chest.
“Will you take me to the clinic?”
Jason nodded, “if you want me to.”
Elizabeth nodded. “Can you show me to my room?” She asked.
“Take the room you were in.” He said.
“Are you sure?” She asked. “I mean, I don’t want to take your room.”
“It doesn’t matter. It’s just a room.” He whispered.
“Okay.” She whispered. “I’m going back upstairs to call my Gram. I think I might take another shower.”
Jason nodded as she went back upstairs slowly.
Jason turned to Sonny, his eyes filling with tears. “Sonny, I -”
“Man, I don’t know what to tell you. She shouldn’t be alone. But you have to be careful. She’s not going to get better any time soon.”
“I want to kill this guy, Sonny. I want to kill him with my bare hands. And I don’t even know this girl.” He paused and sniffed. “How could someone to do this?”
“I don’t know, Jase. I really don’t. But you can’t let this eat you alive. She’s going to need you, you know. You’re the one to pick her up; you’re the one who helped her. She’s going to look to you for help.” He paused and glanced at his friend. “But also, you have to careful, not because of what happened to her. Because she’s not eighteen.”
“Sonny, she just went though something that I can’t even image. I don’t want to worry about how old she is.”
“I’m just telling you.” Sonny said as he got up off the couch and opened the front door, “let me know if you need anything.” He whispered as he left.
Upstairs Elizabeth picked up the phone; she licked her lips and dialed her grandmother’s phone number.
“Hello?”
“Hi Gram.”
“Elizabeth! Where are you?”
“I’m okay. I’m staying at a friend’s house, okay Gram?”
“No! It’s not okay! I want you home right now!”
“I don’t want to come home Gram. Please, just let me stay here.”
“Where are you?”
“She’s a friend Gram. Just a friend.”
“Whatever, Elizabeth. You have always done what you want. And no matter what I say, I can’t stop you. If you don’t want to come home. Than you can just stay gone. Do you hear me, Elizabeth? If you stay at this friend’s house, then you can get stay away.”
“Please don’t do this, Gram.”
“Good-bye Elizabeth.” The phone went dead.
Elizabeth slowly let the phone drop onto the cradle. She covered her face as she began to sob. She curled her legs under her and fell against the bed. She curled into a tighter ball and cried harder, her body shook and she coughed hard as tears rolled down her face.
Jason stood in the doorway watching her; he didn’t know what to do. He sighed and walk toward her shaking body. “Elizabeth?” He whispered as he touched her shoulder. She turned over and glanced at his face. She paused before lunching herself into his arms.
“Hey, it’s okay. You can stay as long as you want. You can stay its okay.”
“How do you do that?” She asked as she as searched his eyes.
“Do what?” He asked.
“I’ve known you for only a few hours and I trust you. I mean, I’ve never trusted anyone in my life.”
“Why?”
“No one gave me a reason to. No one did anything to earn my trust. I mean, you have to earn trust right?”
“I would think so.” Jason nodded.
“Are you sure you want to take me to the clinic tomorrow?”
“Yeah, I could do that.”
“Thank you for helping me.” Elizabeth whispered. “I think I should get some sleep, okay?” Elizabeth moved away from Jason and let her head fall into her pillow. She slowly closed her eyes, tears cling to her eyelashes. “Thank you, Jason.”
“You’re welcome.” He whispered as he covered up her with a blanket. He turned off the light switch and turned his attention to the sleeping girl in his bed. He sighed and settled down in a chair across from the bed.

Chapter 8
A scream filled the room hours later. Jason bolted from his sleeping place in the chair. “Elizabeth? Elizabeth, wake up. I’m right here; I won’t let them hurt you.” Jason said as he ran his hand across her forehead.
Elizabeth’s eyes popped open and stared at him for a second. “Elizabeth?” He called.
She blinked and tears fell from her eyes, “Jason?” She asked. “My God, all I saw was him and he coming after me and he hit me and he’s on top of me and I couldn’t get him off. Oh my God, I feel so dirty!” She glanced at him, her eyes wide and scared. “He raped me, Jason. He – Oh God, he raped me.” Tears fell from her eyes.
Jason shut his eyes, even though he already knew, seeing her admit it hurt a lot. Jason wrapped his arms around her in a hug and ran his hand though her hair. Jason fell silent as he ran his hands over her back.
Pulled away from him, “I’m sorry.”
“Why?”
“For laying all my stuff on you. It’s not fair.”
“It’s okay.” He paused. “It’ll be okay.”
“When?”
“When I find whoever the hell did to you and when I get my hands on him . . .”
“I don’t want you get into trouble because of me.”
“I won’t. I don’t get caught.”
“Jason, what if my baby isn’t okay?” She asked. Now that the question had been asked, she didn’t what to hear the answer. The answer was something that she wasn’t ready for. She didn’t know what she would do if her baby wasn’t okay.
“I don’t think about what could happen.”
“But it could happen, Jason.”
“But it hasn’t. I don’t think about what could happen. It’s like lying, and I just can’t do it.”
She paused and stared at him. Jason Morgan wasn’t like any other guy she had met. “I’ve been thinking about it, and I think that I should pay you back for letting me stay here.”
“I have money. I don’t need yours.”
“I know. But I just need to give something back to you.”
“I’ll think of something.” He said knowing that nothing would could to mind. There was nothing that he would let himself take from this girl, whether it be her money or something else. “Get some sleep Elizabeth. I’ll be right over there if you need me.” He said pointing to the chair.
“You’ve been sleeping in that chair?”
“Yeah, it’s not that bad.”
“But I kicked you out of your bed.” Her eyes filled with tears. “I’m sorry.”
“No, you didn’t kick me out of my bed. There’s one across the hall. I was just making sure that you are okay.”
Elizabeth smiled a watery smile. “Thank you, Jason.”
“No problem.” Jason whispered as he covered her up and went back to his chair.

Chapter 9
The ring of a phone broke Jason’s soundless sleep. He groggy reached for the phone in his pocket as he rubbed the back of his neck. His whole body ached from sleeping in the chair. He quickly glanced at Elizabeth has she slept making sure that the phone didn’t wake her.
“Hello?” Jason asked as he answered the phone and walked out of the room into to the hall.
“Jason?” A female voice asked.
“Bobbie.” Jason sighed. “What’s going on?”
“I thought that I would call and ask how Elizabeth was.”
“Well, she had a nightmare almost every hour last night but she’s going to the clinic today, I’m taking her.”
“She’s going to have nightmares for quite awhile, I’m afraid. Make sure that she gets some help. I mean, she’s going to need to talk to someone, Jason.”
“She’ll have me to talk to.” Jason stated.
He heard Bobbie sigh. “Jason, I ‘m sorry to say this but she has to talk to someone else besides you. I mean, she has to talk to someone who knows what to ask and how to talk about it.”
“She just wants someone to hold her right now, Bobbie. This girl was just dropped on me and I’m handling it the best way I can. She needs somewhere to stay, I can do that. If she wants to find the guy, I’ll help her do that too. As for helping her sort out her feelings; I’ll do the best I can.”
“I know you will, Jason.”
A pricing scream came from inside Elizabeth’s room and Jason glanced up. “I have to go.” He didn’t wait for Bobbie’s reply before he hug-up the phone. Jason opened the door to see Elizabeth kicking and screaming; fighting the growing number of tangled sheets.
“Elizabeth. It’s okay.” Jason said as he rushed to the bedside. He bushed the sweat and hair off her forehead. “Elizabeth, wake up.” Jason commanded.
“Don’t please.” Elizabeth begged an imagery person with a nameless face. “I’m pregnant. Please don’t do this.” She whispered.
“Elizabeth!” Jason yelled.
Elizabeth sat up, gapping for air. Tears welled in her deep hazel eyes. She turned to Jason and blinked as the tears slipped down her face.
“Its okay, Elizabeth. It’s okay.” He took her in his arms and kissed her bruised head.
“Jason?” Her voice shivered.
“Yes?”
“When do you think I’ll be okay?” She asked.
“I don’t know. But I’ll here, okay?” He promised.
“That’s what my baby’s daddy said when I give myself to him.” She whispered against Jason’s shirt. As soon as the word were out her mouth, she wished she could take them back.
Jason was shocked. She hadn’t talked about the baby’s father, and he wasn’t going to bring in up until later; but she seemed to want to talk about it now. “What happened?” He asked softly.
She owed this man. Elizabeth reminded herself. She could at least tell him the truth about her situation. Elizabeth smiled a watery smile. “He was great, Jason. I loved him so much. And I thought that he hug the moon, you know. Everyone thought that it was just a crush, but I knew better. I knew that I loved him. I loved him the first time I saw him walk across the room at that party. I guess I was too scared to do anything about it; I didn’t want him to turn me down. So I just stood around and watch for the sidelines,” She paused, “for years I just watched. He was three years older than me. And once he moved away and went to school, I thought that I would never see him again. But he came back for a visit with his family in the middle of December, for winter break.
When I saw him again my mind screamed at me to take a chance. I knew that I might not get another chance. I knew that he was using me, I didn’t care.” She paused to wipe some of her tears away. “I loved him Jason. I did. And I proved it by giving myself to him. He was so great; so kind and gentle. I thought that after sharing something like that, that there would be more, you know?” Elizabeth shook her head. “At the end of December he left and I never saw him again.”
“Don’t you have his number?” Jason asked.
Elizabeth nodded, “Yeah, but he never picks up. I told him that I really needed to talk to him. I begged him to call me. I called him again and I told him that my parents were making me move here. I still haven’t heard from him.”
“You didn’t tell him about the baby?”
“No, it’s too personal to say to an answer machine. Maybe if I did, he would call me. But I can’t deal with that right now.”
“What was his name?” Jason asked.
“Taylor. His name is Taylor Adam Johns.” She whispered. “The last I heard he was going to a school in Oregon.”
Jason nodded. “Okay. Let’s get you to a clinic.”

Chapter 10
“Okay.” Elizabeth moved out of Jason’s arms and looked at her bare feet. “I don’t have any shoes to wear.”
“It’s okay. I’m going to wrap you in a blanket. Okay? I’ll carry you.”
Elizabeth opened her mouth in protest but she quickly closed her mouth and nodded.
Jason grabbed the blanket off the chair he was sleeping in. He slowly wrapped it around her shoulders and led her out of the room and down the stairs. Jason opened the door and saw Johnny standing guard. Johnny nodded a hello at Jason as they stepped out into the hall and Jason shut the door.
Elizabeth glanced at the tall man, “I wanted to thank you for last night. You helped Jason help me. Thank You, Johnny.” She whispered.
Johnny opened his mouth in shock, but closed it and just nodded.
“How is the search?” Jason asked.
Johnny glanced at him. “Good, Boss. We found everything we were looking for.”
Elizabeth watched the interaction between the two, “are you guys talking about me?” She asked.
“Elizabeth, we found all the evince we need to find this guy. If you want.” He quickly added.
“You found my gram’s bracelet?” She asked Johnny.
Johnny nodded. “Someone will be by with everything.”
Jason nodded. “Have Francis talk with Bobbie Spencer; see what she says about what she knows.” Jason said. “Call Max. Tell him to pull the car around. But I want you to drive, let Max come up here and watch the door.”
Johnny nodded and pulled out his phone as Elizabeth and Jason moved toward the elevator. Jason picked her up off the cold floor, making sure that the blanket covered her feet to, when they entered the elevator. The doors closed and then opened a few seconds later with a small ding.
Jason sighed as he carried Elizabeth to the car and out of the building. Max was waiting by the car with the door open. Jason smiled and nodded at him as placed Elizabeth in the car. Elizabeth quickly moved over for Jason. A second later Jason slipped into the car and Elizabeth heard another door open and close before their door closed.
The window that separated them from the diver slipped down as Johnny looked in the rear-view mirror. “Where to, Boss?” Johnny asked.
“The nearest confidential clinic.” Jason said.
They road in silence. Anything that needed to be said could wait until Elizabeth had gotten over this hill. Everything that had to be said was already said as Jason let her lay her head on his chest. She shivered when he put his hand on her back, it was because her back was covered in black and blue bruises, but it also wasn’t because she didn’t trust Jason Morgan. Elizabeth knew that she could trust him last night. She shivered because no matter how much she didn’t want to, she thought of the nameless face.
They arrived at the clinic in fifteen minutes. Elizabeth sighed as she watched Johnny open the door. Jason stepped out and reached for Elizabeth. She let herself be carried through the doors of the clinic.
People rushed to meet her.
Jason Morgan’s eyes turned cold as people rushed them. Elizabeth clutched his shirt tightly and buried her face in his chest.
“What’s wrong with her?” The question came from a small brown haired woman who stood next to Jason’s right side.
Jason shook his head, “first, you need to back off. She’s getting scared.”
The four doctors that surrounded them took two steps back.
Jason took a deep breath, “is there anywhere that we can go?” He asked. He didn’t want to have to have this conversation in the middle of the waiting room. Even if there was no one waiting.
The small doctor nodded as she led them to the first door. Jason set Elizabeth down on the table; she curled into a ball and shook for the coldness of the table.
“What happened?” The doctor asked as she closed the door.
Jason glanced at her name tag: Dr. Ginger Cornbell M.D. Jason’s eyes focused on Elizabeth, “I found her last night.” He whispered in a cold voice. He stroked Elizabeth’s hair, letting her know he was there. “She was in the park, I know she was hurt. I had a doctor look at her, but she’s pregnant. We just want to make sure that her baby is okay.”
Ginger looked from Jason to Elizabeth, “were you raped?” She asked in a soft voice.
Elizabeth shook as tears worked their way out her face as she nodded.
Ginger nodded. “Okay. Now I’m going to go get an ultrasound machine and see how your baby is, okay?”
Elizabeth nodded.
