Chapter 10
Georgie had been home for 3 days now and it was tougher than she could have ever expected. Everything that she used to be able to do was now almost impossible with out someone else helping her. She now realized how many things she had taken for granted like just being able to walk. It frustrated her so much that she was not able to be independent anymore and most of the time she cried herself to sleep. She also felt bad about the way that she had treated her family latey. They would try to help her do something and she would scream at them and say that she could do it herself. It was unfair to them to be so mean but it was so hard to control the anger that was built up inside of her that it was almost impossible to be thankful and nice. Dillon had came and visited her all the time and she tried her hardest to be kind and understanding when he tried to help because he already felt guilty and she didn't want to hurt him.
As for her mother Georgie could not be more angry at her. Felicia had not called her once and she hadn't even come back home when she needed her the most. She knew that Mariah needed Felicia but they could hire a nurse to take care of her while Felicia cam home and took care of Georgie. It was so unfair that her and Maxie had basically had to grow up without a mother especially when they all needed her so much. As far as Georgie was concerned she wasn't even a mother anymore.
Suddenly the phone rang and Georgie reached across the couch and picked it up.
" Hello."
" Hey baby." Felicia's voice echoed through the reciever.
" Hi." Georgie said trying to hide her anger.
" So how are you doing sweetheart?"
" How do you think I'm doing I'm in a wheelchair and practically confined to the couch and you haven't even came to see or help me." Georgie said angerly.
" Well honey your grandma is not doing to well right now and she needs me very badly right now. Once she gets better I will be back there as soon as possible." Felicia replied.
" Well you know I think I kind of need you right now too and you think you would have been back to New York the second you heard that I had been in a car accident and almost died. But I guess I dont matter that much now do I?" Georgie yelled into the phone.
" Oh honey yes you do. you mean the world to me so don't act like I don't care. I was going to come down there as fast as I could when I heard you were in a coma but then Mac called and told me you were awake and you would survive I thought maybe I could wait a little while because your grandma was really really sick."
" Oh so I have to be in a coma for you to actually see me? Even though I'm in a wheelchair now and am still in a hell of a lot of pain from the car accident. Well you know what Felicia? I dont give a damn because I have Mac, Maxie, and Dillon and I dont need you at all. You don't even need to bother coming down at all because as far as I'm concerned your not my mother anymore!" Georgie screamed and then slammed down the telephone.
She put her head in her hands and sobbed for hours until she fell asleep in front of the Tv.
